Maid is designed to resist ddos attacks like this and will for sure not suffer from it
Agree I hope they get there. It would make the world a better place. Factom seems a little more transparent than MAID. Actually they are really alike, maid and factom are both honest company, but actually they both give no normal ETA. Maid is really transparent in everything except ETA's

If they had some issue which would make M2 unreachable this year, he would not say that for sure. So I think we re really close to testnet.

Hi
I don't use the (command line) wallet everyday, but so far I managed to use it quite a few times without any problem
Today, i'm trying to create a transaction by typing ./factom-cli addinput transaction1 FA2xxxxxxxxxxD8 2 and i get the message "Failure to locate the transaction"
If i type ./factom-cli balances i can see the above address with my balance [of course i use copy/paste when typing the addinput line]
Am i doing something wrong ? why is this happening ?
thanks for your help

Thanks Brian,
With the first i ment
Is factom limited to entry coins (server limitations) before milestone 2 ?
Might run a server got some extra vps left here and there.
Thx for the reply!
I still don't understand. Do you mean entry credits? those are created by users burning factoids. when servers need them for varoius sundry tasks, they burn factoids too. there are only 3 chains that are privaleged in the system which can only be written to by the federated servers, and consequently do not need entry credits. they are the: Factoid Chain Entry Credit Chain Administrative Chain The Factoid chain only holds valid factoid transactions. The Entry Credit chain holds all the Entry Commits and Chain Commits. These are the payments that users make when they are paying Entry Credits to place data into the various user chains. It also hold links to Factoid transaction IDs which purchase Entry Credits. These increase an EC balance, where the commits decrease the balance. The Admin chain holds the signatures for the previous block headers, as well as keeping track of who the Federated Servers are. Once we get m2 up and running we would love to have more nodes on the network. More nodes will keep it robust and help protect the network from attack.

Sorry i guess it was early,
I just ment entry's , can there already be unlimited entry's before M2 and M3 ?
The servers are runned by Factom now and do they have limitations, cause thats the idea i got when i watched a movie of david.

Well technically there can't be unlimited EC before M3 b/c the supply of FCT required to generate the EC would be exhausted at some theoretical point. But I think you're asking about whether or not the servers currently running are capable of handling a much larger amount of "factomization." I don't know about that but my strong suspicion is that they can. My understanding is that the limits of the tech ATM don't have to do with capacity so much as customization / userability / etc., but someone can correct me if I'm wrong ...

Thats indeed what i was wondering, cause the entry coins rise in total amount but not exponential so i wondered maybe the servers are lmited atm.

Which corner you referring to exactly? It s something Brian has mentioned a few moths ago and he has repeated it two posts ago. Corner being a metaphor for M2 launch, finishing of the next stage of Factom development. He mentioned it was getting closer and closer.

I doubt they'll announce anything on a Sunday, though I'm actually not sure when "next week" was meant for. It's poss Tiana thought the interview was being published a day or two later, so corrected herself to reflect that. Or an editor could have changed "a couple weeks" to "next week" if he/she thought the same thing. Could be a missed "deadline" if they don't announce today, but the wording/intention isn't 100% clear to me. It's further not even clear whether "the week" begins on Sunday(calendar) or Monday (work). Anyway .... my guess is the announcement will come tomorrow/Mon or Tue during the Money 20/20 panel.
