Since factom is a private company, are they applying for patents on any innovations they are making on the current blockchain technology or are other companies free to copy their innovations? I feel this is important for investors to know before they invest in the company or factoids the currency.
If they have patents and their innovation are useful than we are taking about a billion dollar company, if it's open free for all to copy and use, I think in terms of financial returns for investors might not be much. The company could still be a success but chances for exponential growth might be less.

What does this mean? Can someone analyse this? Factom not only plans to, "Factomize Everything" but they now answer the question of, "How do we access what is Factomized" with the answer of, "TrustedOracle.com" (I dislike the name but it's fine for now). In other words, if I am reading into this correctly, it appears that Factom intend on being a competitor to Google. But THEIR answers are audited and verified and thus can actually be trusted. |

Huge dump of almost 100k coins , always wonder why someone would dump that much at once.
Because today I sold part of factoids and bought Ethereum.  Big guts to buy eth now, with all those issues with ETC etc. Also if your the one who sold like 30k plus then you got less then you should for every coin, and i thank you for more cheap coins. Next time if you wanna sell a lot try pm me i might buy for a better price then you will get from selling into the market. Not any more. They obfuscate their code so that it will be hard for someone else to copy
There is nothing on github that is obfuscated, its all cleanly written with comments. Going to consolidate a while longer while the dust settle on ETH/ETC.
Most alts lost 5-15% today so I think FCT has shown strength during that mess. Hopefully we have something developping on the fct side once it settle down

I need to talk to someone from the FACTOM team about possibly speaking at our annual healthcare conference here in South Carolina. I would be great to have an IT session which discusses healthcare/blockchain and FCT seems to be a good fit for this. Yes, there is money in the budget for compensation. Please PM me if this is something that someone from the team can help us with. The conference is on September 17th at Myrtle Beach, SC.
