It's a pity Gox doesn't have a base+percentage commission structure to keep all these nuisance transactions out. They certainly can't be helping the situation. Stop the micro trading via bots and the lag magically disappears! But then how would they get the mass panics to happen! How about 02 at a time instead of 50!  Rinse repeat every-time there is a panic look for the bot traffic herding the mass panic! It wont be enough to just keep quoting this!! We need this shit sticky'd!!! & mass attention!! But oh yeah they profit at insane amounts when there is a panic! So its like asking them to cut off a toe! Unless people speak up its rinse and repeat! regardless of adding ssd'd or 10 more servers or 10 more after that ... Gox's support tool allows people to "upvote" tickets they agree with. Perhaps we should start a ticket requesting they fix the bot problem and get everyone to "upvote" it. Just point me in the right direction but without an army behind me its just futile!! We need mass awareness and people need to speak out!! It could be bankers, government, gox themselves!! All i know is its part of every mass panic!!!!!! I have to admit, while it is not fixed, gox seems to be dealing with lag better. There's plenty of trading going on and it's holding under 3 seconds

OK, I'm off to bed. You chaps have this all sorted out for the morning, OK? It's been fun but I have to maintain perspective. I'm in this for the long haul. I'd just about done buying coins at the crazy prices they were reaching but if they keep dropping, I'll definitely be buying up more (I actually picked up 1/2 a bitcoin in this mess so I figure I'm ahead). This may have been bad for Bitcoin short-term but no doubt the attention means wheels have been set in motion. I remain a long-term bull. For the longest time... I leave you with a quote... So, looking back at the past three days, what has changed? - The protocol itself is still doing fine, nothing to report there
- This whole thing is a PR disaster, although so far it doesn't seem too bad
- Everybody is aware we need better infrastructure and much effort is currently being undertaken in creating this
- In fact, even the fuck ups at MtGox seem to be doing better
- Many people lost their confidence and turned bear overnight, but hey, human psychology is a bitch ain't it?
- We are back at prices not seen since late March
- This will be for the better long term, the industry will come out stronger
