It's hard to say what exactly is going on here, but it sort of looks like there's a fight going on between one person who tried to induce panic selling and another person who tried to induce panic buying.

Cuts both ways, there are also long wicks below the candlesticks, which shows strong support below $8. And the relentless walls show some big players determined to squeeze it higher (to the sellers' loss). If/when it settles, I bet its over $10 rather than below. In addition to record difficulty very soon, I think we're seeing the block reward change to 25BTC now being priced in. |

Aye, that block reward halving keeps coming sooner and sooner too with all the less than 14 day to hit 2016 block recalcs happening. Back, last NOV, the estimate was Dec. 20ish. Now it is down to what, the 10th or sooner? |
If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.
