It'll accelerate.  There are more bitcoin for sell on MtGox now than there have been for a while.  The price has gone up a lot in the past couple months and lots of people want to cash out apparently.  I think we could go into the 5s.

Oh you are so bullish, I think we will go to the 4's!  Grin

You sold, right?

did you?

KILL THE BEAR!!!!

and the better question is, did you sell? And can you prove it?

I still have an undisclosed amount of USD that has cleared and more clearing. I am confident up to prices previously stated.

Though, I cannot deny that huge resistance has been building on both sides of the fence over the last 24 hours. My personal gut feeling is that there will be some down play here over the next few days.  *hedge engaged*

If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

Look at the depth to $10 a week or so ago.

Look at it now.

We're not going to break $10 for a long time.  My guess is we're going to see the same sort of multi-month correction we saw after January's high.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

people want to cash-out but they do not place an ask to allow the top price to rise as much as possible
now that a top price has been clearly identify everyone is placing their asks.

what they dont see is if they all get their asks bought out the price wont go down... it will keep going up! Why? Because this is a false top.

its ironic that a bear (pirate) has unknowingly layout this epic bear trap

I am finding my BTC position less and less a pure speculative play and more and more like my physical PM position...

do I itch to play the volatility?

oh yes...I do...very much so

do I want to be caught in bennie bux when the band stops playing?

?

?

This is not some pseudoeconomic post-modern Libertarian cult, it's an un-led, crowd-sourced mega startup organized around mutual self-interest where problems, whether of the theoretical or purely practical variety, are treated as temporary and, ultimately, solvable.
Censorship of e-gold was easy. Censorship of Bitcoin will be… entertaining.

Virtex is acting very bullish

Most of the time Virtex is a good 10 - 30 cents lower then mtgox
now its almost 20 cents over mtgox price

There is the USD / CAD rate of 1 USD = 1.0219 CAD to also take into account. This still places MtGox higher than Virtex but not by much. 8.691 CAD (8.505 USD)  for MtGox vs 8.605 CAD for Virtex.

we aren't breaking 8.40 because people are buying, by placing bids above 8.40

How strong this support is, is anyone's guess

Well from the looks of it...not much btc is on the buy orderbook at that level.

Price is headed to $7 range as I predicted 3 days ago for the next three weeks (at some point it will touch $7.50 or below)

its been doing this every since we got down to 8.40 yesterday
