I'm guessing that she's the breadwinner now and Josh is her B*tch, staying home with the 3 little kids.   Grin

My money is on jessica distancing herself and shacked up with someone else money wise.

And Josh being with that chick he impregnated.

I reckon it would be one big messed up situation at present... unless josh is shacked up with stuart?

Perhaps Josh & Stuart will cut a deal with the Feds, (IRS, FBI, DHS) to share a cell.

There is no way josh can cut a plea deal with 0 time in jail unless someone bigger is going to jail.

$10 million is a lot of money and i suspect his scheme was more than that. Combined with power fraud, the 9/11 charity fraud.. anyone remember that remember hashlet ?

Josh will be spending time in prison. The government would love to make an example of some crypto folks. I believe the 6 month extension is so they get everything right and all the information to throw at him. Its going to make papers... perhaps time, wsj and cnn just like josh said it would. he was just a little bit wrong on when it would happen.

Maybe the announcement from sec will come on a friday?

Yes, he will be going to prison unless someone bigger does instead. Pretty likely it will be something like this one, where he can hang with Bernie Madoff and share muggle stories for a couple years playing cards and watching TV with no big ass Bubbas to worry about. Roll Eyes

Who bigger than him could be going in though? Uncle Stu? I would think CF wouldn't let that happen. Perhaps one of the "large" investors with ties to money laundering that there were rumors of? Not sure how much of that was fabricated by Homero himself with the whole Phil Valdala "theft" of Prime Controlwrs ordeal.

Even if he doesn't go to jail he'll still struggle to ever run a business again. I think if he tried a number of people would likely inform any potential customers of his past.

Either way he's screwed.

There is a 6-month stay on Garza's first $10 million scam.

That means that another federal case is pending -- a much "bigger" one.  And/or they're adding Paycoin scam charges.

Garza still has one good option:

Finish high school.

Not an easy option for him though. Grade 9 english was giving him hassles.

Remember how he was receiving writing tuition etc for his emails and press releases haha and how companies were like get someone to proof his messages because he's hopeless?

He might be better off doing one of those adult college classes or something? You know the ones that learn him to read and right good?

fudder... xpy was not viable they traded in for ion from adam matlack to save them and became sheep for the disciple maker.

They are ion whales... because ion is a game coin and gaming has a market capital of $7 billion a year in the mobile market. That 7 billion market share is waiting to line up to use ion because its so innovative. They couldnt' do it themselves as a game company because they lack talent.

They needed a everyday church guy to clone a source and crowd fund a dev because they couldn't do it themselves.

Game dev studios need adam matlack and the likes of ion because they aren't innovative enough themselves. And even if they were you know innovative doesn't make a coin... a coining be used by the world that make a coin... and ion is that coin!!!!

Repent you heretic!!!

BFL, shady and scammy as it was, actually did build miners and ship some. There was a tangible product they were clearly producing, they just vastly oversold their actual ability to deliver and did "burn testing (i.e. free mining). That's wrong, but the government cannot just go after people for that because there are infinite examples of legitimate computer companies, for instance, doing the same thing (hundreds of millions of dollars from advanced orders for computers that are either chronically delayed or simply non-existent at the time). As long as they can make a plausible case that they are just incompetent as opposed to openly fraudulent, it simply isn't ever going to be criminal.

Furthermore, they were busted by the FTC which is an agency that has much less history of its proceedings working their way into criminal charges. It's basically how you get slapped on the wrist for false advertising.

The SEC, on the other hand, is frequently a prelude to criminal charges. Just ask Pirate@40, because that's actually what happened to him. The SEC did the legwork and then handed the case over to the FBI, at which point the dude just plead out because it was going to be hopeless.

Josh Garza indisputably ran a ponzi. He didn't cherry-pick and selectively deliver his products to reviewers, no, he sold pictures of things that never existed, publicly made impossible promises directly contrary to law, and made numerous fraudulent representations like standing in front of fake mining equipment.

He said he was mining, he never was. He made direct promises of profitability based on capital reserves that did not exist. Any money that went out came from money that went in, without exception. He made representations that he was collecting money that would go to charity, and it clearly didn't.

Remember the "Y U NO SHIP" foam toys from BFL? The FTC made a big deal of them, despite not really being all that meaningful legally speaking, because they are absolute dynamite to a jury. That kind of thing might not be able to directly affect what you get charged with, but it absolutely will affect whether you get convicted for it.

The 9/11 stakers are a similar deal. It's just another aspect of fraud to a case replete with it, but it makes it clear to a jury what this is all about. They might not get "mining", crypto-currency or even what a "Security" is, but when Josh can't show where that money went or even what charity he supposedly partnered with, believe me, a 80 year-old grandmother who is an illiterate daughter of an oakie sharecropper will understand what Garza did.

The Feds are going to get him, that's undoubtedly what the stay is about.

are you using any of your money or unpaid time? i thought these things were getting paid by others from xpy.io and now the ICO.... well i guess you can understand people speculate since ionomy people have made 0 effort to clarify anything. probably because they think BCT is trash & full of muggles... of course ionomy welcomes everyones money tho  Cool

bugs me when the devs have no skin in the game... yay lets crowd source this with xpy bagholder money and then enlarge it to a bigger ICO which we can use to fund our secret plans. at least we can be employed for another year or 2. then crash and burn since we didnt want any larger criticism from unaffiliated people

like mrcoins says: theres no penalty for failing in business. as long as you dont lie like garza and you are golden

WorldOfHash has made some money it self. And i have used that to secure the hosting and domain for the game. Now what the Team over at ionomy.com is doing i have no clue. I have seen Screen Shots of the game they are making. Also got to listen in on the concept meeting for it. Like everyone here i am here waiting to see how the game ends up. I hope It is good or atleast a good platform to build off of.

Are you accepting ION in world of hash? If so, why? I'm genuinely interested.

The overall reason to accept ION is due to the fact Mr. Matlack provide free of charge his Graphic Design Service. He is also helping with rebuilding the Overall UI of the Site to make it more Game Like. Which i would love for you guys to give your honest opinion and and helpful idea's to make the UI better for the over all GamePlay.

Sorry, wish you the best of luck, but I won't touch anything that Matlack has his hands in, on or near. Too piss poor of a track record for me.

I won't hate you for not playing. But i do welcome idea's from anyone who does join the game

Here's an idea for you simdude: The plural form of idea is not idea's.

Adam Matlack 1/5/2014: "Not but 30 seconds later, the Holy Spirit slapped me upside the head and said "what are you thinkin'? What are you doin'?" It was an emphatic "NO". And I got - just guilt started to cover me"

Quote from: o0o0 link=topic=857670.msg14707780#msg14707780
Ionomy is just xpy with a new coat of paint. Its the same prime controller, staker plan with changed values under a new name. Its like pepsi and coke they are both cola... the difference is neither company denies its cola. Ionomy is trying to say its in no way xpy influenced. It clearly is.

I understand what you are saying, but re-using the platform that you already developed, still makes more sense than throwing it all away and start over.

Main reason that was plead for, is that they/team ion can now directly control the ingredients. Previously on xpy this was not the case as the actual coincode was maintained by another party.

This does not invalidate your other arguments, but should be added into the equation.
