Tangible, PLEASE take over Coinbase.com or just buy them out. They have a "good" system up for buying BTC with your bank account, etc... but several of my friends went to buy BTC and their transactions were just canceled. No response, nothing. Since you guys are so good at customer service and ON TOP of what you have available, you guys could make that site work like a well oiled machine.

Coinbase is the one with the deep VC pockets not us*, so I don't think we will be buying competitors any time soon.  I will refrain from making a judgement on coinbase.  Their order cancellations may be due to the risk of accepting ACH.  I am happy to say our procedures don't put is in a posistion where we need to arbitrarily cancel orders.  We have had the price move against us ... a LOT and still honored the deal.

I hope Coinbase can make their order process more transparent.  Something i said in a conference call with a different competitor seems to fit.

Quote from: D&T paraphrasing
I don't really see us as competitors today.  At this point I am more interested in growing the pie then growing our share of it.

It is going to take many companies each improving the user experience to grow that pie.

* We are 100% self funded and if possible we would like to do our first outside equity offering without involving VC funding.

PayPal estimates tomorrow (03/07).  They don't get more specific than that.

Update:
Bank funds reloaded again.  You sellers are killing the circuit breakers on the site.

On edit: oh and we have blown past all prior one day sales figures .... so close to breaking a milestone.  daily records are done on UTC clock so I will let everyone know after 00:00:00 UTC.

Update:

Temporary hold.  I zeroed out all the funding accounts so the site will prevent any new orders.  The combination of huge backlog of unconfirmed orders and the quote API lagging is too much of a risk for us to accept orders right not.  I appologize for having to take this extrodinary step but we honor all deals, we never rollback a sale and with no lagged quotes and the value of unconfirmed orders approaching our reserve to continue to accept orders blindly isn't a risk I can justify taking. As soon as I have better visibility as to our exposure order access will be restored.

Per the critical 0.7 vs 0.8 bug announced by developers we are halting all transactions until resolved.  The site will prevent any new orders.  Any unpaid orders will remain in CONFIRMED status until we can verify transaction integrity.  It is possible orders not confirmed may reflect an incorrect status such as expired.  Once the forks are merged  we will rescan all orders to check for undetected transactions.

You indicated we "lost your business".  I didn't feel the need to respond when there were real customers who needed support.  So beyond trolling what exactly are you doing in the FC4B support thread if you aren't (nor intend to be) a client of FC4B?
