Well, there is a empty thread there, with OP info copied from here, with all the outdated information, such as C-Cex and btcpool exchange listings (which are gone long ago), Suprnova, Coinminers and other pools mentioned (while they have closed long time ago too), SSDpool block explorer (which is down for many weeks). This coin looks abandoned... Its not going anywhere, unless Matt will try to pickup his failed project and make one more try to make it a success.

he said if you message him anyone can take over the coin. the coin did not have enough promotion. and paypal terms say not to buy ecigs and liquids but it still can be used all over the place( its mostly there saying not to so they arent responsible).

I would support the coin at cryptopia it is still worth something. If no trades are happening then it maybe delisted there than it is worthless. there are plenty of exchanges out there polonex, bluetrade, bitr, etc. at cex volume must be very high otherwise it is delisted same at bittrex they require a certain amount of volume to keep your coin listed. so aim at smaller exchanges first and promote it

Quite a lot, if you ask me Smiley
You could use 104.207.131.249:60237 too.

To get more nodes, set listen=1 and open the QT wallet port in the firewall.

For those that didnt know the developers left a while ago but here are my 10 cents.

I do think the downfall of the coin was the lack of community, along with the business model. Selling any kind of product like AVON or Mary Kay is a bad idea all around. MLM works well for those at the top but most people are becoming more untrusting of the MLM buisness model. but if a new dev team decided to take over and focus more on getting established businesses to accept the coin this coin could thrive. especially for people that like to make their own flavors and cant purchase nicotine online. so if you are looking to take over the coin i would suggest a mobile app to be on the top of the priority list.

addNode = 162,255,117,105

You need to correct this line:
"addNode = 162,255,117,105". Put "addnode = 162.255.117.105" - with dots instead of commas.

My connections now are these:
162.255.117.105:63417
84.234.52.190:55612
93.169.32.85:1081

The 84.234.52.190 is probably Aikapool, and it is not synced for a long time, seems it is stuck on block 111005, while the blockchain is on block 265383 already. So you need to have "addnode=162.255.117.105" and "addnode=93.169.32.85"

Aikapool owner - please re-sync your wallet!!!

You can use "addnode=104.207.131.249:60237" for now too. It is my node, it is not always online, but sometimes is.

Yup, I stopped my node as there were others running. I rerun it now and easily got few connections:

        "addr" : "162.255.117.105:64310",
        "addr" : "176.193.208.209:65505",

I will repeat once more - your is on wrong fork most probably. And maybe even the old version of wallet used.
If you care to completely re-sync (delete the blockchain and sync it again), I promise to leave my node running for some time Smiley

Strange. I just run my wallet on PC and get the following:

]

So there are at least 3 working nodes.

EDIT: but wait I just looked on Aikapool, and can see your QuitDough wallet is perfectly synced now and has two connections!
Even more, it has the correct height, so it is now on correct fork finally!! Congratulations! Smiley

The only problem now is - you show the big red "FORK!" text near the coin name Smiley
The text should be removed, because finally this coin is NOT on a fork, and it is possible now to mine at your pool!

can anyone tell me how i run the node for this coin
need help whit the conf to run the node

As far as I understand, there is no specific requirements for the node, except for the following:

1. It should have listen=1 set in the .conf file.
Try this .conf settings, they should be ok:
Code:
rpcuser=<your roc username>
rpcpassword=<your RPC password>
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
listen=1
server=1
daemon=1
staking=0
logtimestamps=1
maxconnections=256

2. The node should be maintained, i.e. someone should ensure it runs all the time, without going on and off.

I actually have something like a node running (my node is typically the only one visible at aikapool.com). But *sometimes* I switch it off for some time (to offload the server when I need that), then run again.

If you run your node, please do not forget to explicitly inform Cryptopia owners about that, as otherwise they can easily miss your node and close the market.

So what?

Will this coin be finally delisted from its only exchange (Cryptopia), or someone will care to setup a node? The deadline is very close. I have seem someone trying to pump this coin last month, its strange that *someone* is going to let it die...

Currently there is still just one node - mine. Its apparently not enough, so if there is still somebody here, and is willing to save this coin - would be nice to setup one more node and contact Cryptopia.

Part of the issue seems to be the wallet itself, it is not doing a very good job of telling nodes about other nodes.
It really needs an update, it doesn't even support console addnode Sad

My node will accept inbound, it has for quite some time, but nobody connects to it, so your node isn't telling other nodes about it at all

addnode=108.113.85.117:60237

Unfortunatly my IP is not fixed, so it will only work for a little while

Not sure if thats the case..

I have made a small test using separate wallet on my PC:

1. Removed all "addnode=" entries from "quitdough.conf", except a single one : 104.207.131.249, which is my node.
2. Deleted the "peers.dat", so my wallet can work like it was started from the scratch and does not know any peers.
3. Started my wallet.

The result: it connected to my node and after 1 minute has a lot of connections:

So I am not sure why some other wallets cannot get peers from the node... Maybe the settings on the other wallets are different?
Here is my "quitdough.conf" on the PC wallet. You can try it, if it worked for me, should work for everyone else too...
Code:
rpcuser=someusername
rpcpassword=somepassword
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=192.168.1.*
rpcport=11082
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0
testnet=0
listen=1
maxconnections=100
addnode=104.207.131.249:60237

I don't really think all those settings are needed, but better to try with them as in my config.

... this space is not for rent ...
