I live in the moment, Rarity, it will happen when it happens.
Okay, but it would help me start my preparations just to know WHERE it is happening. I need to price out the bus and start looking at hotels. Wanna share a room? We could spend the money saved on Dankapalooza memorabilia.

I know you are dealing with far greater logistical questions right now in organizing Dankapalooza but I still need to handle my travel arrangements if I'm going to make it. Rarity, I think you should enter the running for Bitcointalk's "troll of the year" awards.

I was thinking there would be on-site camping available. Dank, can you at least tell us whether the festival will be in the Northern or Southern hemisphere? There's no point me buying an all-seasons sleeping bag if we're going to be partying in the heat of the Australian summer for instance. You may be able to organise a huge festival very quickly, but some of us take longer to get ourselves organised.

We could spend the money saved on Dankapalooza memorabilia. I'll be booking a hotel or campsite or igloo or yurt (depending on location) for a large group of people from my spiritual group so anyone else who wants to hang out with us is welcome. I just have to warn you we are a drug free group so if such substances are essential to your Dankstock experience you may want to look elsewhere.

Good point, regarding mobility, bear. As humans become more in tune with love, I believe we will resonate at a higher frequency, subsequently, unlocking more of our DNA's genetic capabilities.
Sorry you feel that I'm a slacker, I feel that I put most of my energy and time of each day into productive activities that will help me reach my goals.

Do you think constantly posting on these forums, where the majority of users see you as a joke, helps you reach your goals??? Not meant to be an insult, just asking.

I can offer fantastic rates for security staff, lighting and sound equipment rental and operation, ticket management, and vendor relations.
I've done these tasks for 3 multi-thousand attendee festivals before, and come with references. I'll also accept bitcoin. If you are actually serious, I can help you create the documents and forms you can use to coordinate all the tasks needed to prepare for such a thing.
I honestly don't think you are serious though. You can't even say "Somewhere in the US", even though it's obvious that is where it would be.

mlawrence, the truth reveals itself with time. And people that see it are the people that invest in me.
Very serious, capn noe, if you had the equipment or connections to build a stage suited for a million+ crowd, I'd be interested. I think the main concern would be directional speaker arrays capable of delivering that amount of quality sound, then lighting, it must have some bad ass light displays. Security staff and ticketing wouldn't be a problem, as it'd be free.

So you must mean your post count. That's the only positive thing that comes from your name being libeled the way it is on these forums. Yet you keep coming back, taking time away from guitar playing and business planning.

We've got full HD projection mapping worked out, with numerous clients already satisfied with the results. We now offer custom lighting targets, which are PVC and white sheet wrapped props that we projection map onto. TIE-fighters, symbols, etc are all things we have built into targets so far. Our engineers can design and deploy almost anything, and we even offer to let clients keep said targets if they want them. They are often about 40 feet across and usually have built in areas for a DJ station (inside the cockpit of the tie fighter, as an example).
Stagebuilding is of course something that we do, and can overbuild like hell. We also have numerous trusses for lighting equipment. Sound equipment is available to us via lease (we don't try to own the equipment ourselves anymore).
If you think you are going to use volunteers, comp'ed with free tickets, for security than I'd insist in having my own security to manage and monitor our on-site assets. That NEVER works out, but I'll leave you to discover that on your own.
I need at LEAST 3 months notice. Our field team is 5-6 people and requires more than a little notice. We also have food trucks and carts for vending, as well as licenses of course.
Hire me as a consultant and I can get my people started contacting venues and talent immediately.

So, let's assume for a second that a free concert doesn't have some form of VIP sections (all of the many free events I attended, worked at or hosted usually monetize VIP sections) so you really wouldn't need booth staff, no security? For a 1m+ crowd? Again, assuming you manage to pull a show twice as big as large a Woodstock out of your ass, in less than 75 days, no security? Seriously? No one will require to be dragged/kept off site? At all? What about EMTs? They usually were in my "security" staff provision. How do you intend to provide first aid?
