What about EMTs? They usually were in my "security" staff provision. How do you intend to provide first aid?
Having to fly in medical staff and supplies and extra food by helicopter was one of the things which blew out Woodstock's budget. Providing adequate toilet facilities alone for a million people is going to be a serious issue. Also, no point in holding it in Australia in summer. We already have a few big musical festivals over summer. There's also no place here where you'd ever get a permit to hold a private event that large. Sydney's NYE fireworks attract over 1 million people to Sydney Harbour and the cost and logistics of staging that are monumental - and that's a location which is already well-serviced in terms of facilities for large crowds. Although concerts have been held in the Outback before, you couldn't stage an event for 1 million people there (all the tourists would be dead within 12 hours, for sure). If you thought that opening a hookah lounge was too complex, you have no idea of what's involved in staging a large public event - either from a practical or financial perspective. Burning Man is an event which is about a tenth the size of the original Woodstock and a twentieth of the size of the festival you're talking about organising. It costs about $5 million to stage. I won't even bother going into the equipment hire costs alone of light shows like those put on by bands like Metallica.

you want a million+ music festival, you want to start a hookah lounge, god knows what other pipe dreams you have going on.
baby steps man, you gotta crawl before you walk. maybe a short term goal is more up your alley.
stop smoking weed. take a shower go to school get a good job stop asking for unrealistic loans you say you design websites, may a bitcoin based website. come back to reality wouldnt you rather be the one lending one day instead of borrowing?
if youre into bitcoin that much and youre this active on the forum, you should have a website by now. if thats what youre good at then follow that path.
if you cant make what youre good at make money for you, how are you going to do these huge things you have no clue about? you gotta be joking right?

I live in the moment, Rarity, it will happen when it happens.
Okay, but it would help me start my preparations just to know WHERE it is happening. I need to price out the bus and start looking at hotels. Wanna share a room? We could spend the money saved on Dankapalooza memorabilia. I'll be booking a hotel or campsite or igloo or yurt (depending on location) for a large group of people from my spiritual group so anyone else who wants to hang out with us is welcome. I just have to warn you we are a drug free group so if such substances are essential to your Dankstock experience you may want to look elsewhere. Rarity, if I were to, say, smoke a joint in the early morning, would I be able to hang with yall in the evening? I really don't want to have to pick between the two!

Capn noe, won't work out if you need three months notice, it's going to need to be executed pretty fast.
rep, there's nothing stopping me from getting 5 mil by the end of the year. But I can't really see the need for more than 1 mil for the stage, 1 mil for audio, .5mil for subfacilities and cool lights/lasers.
Lurk, I've made several websites before, this forum suites my needs at this time. And are you a real person? I mean, "Beliefs are what divide people. Doubt unites them." What? If everyone believes the same thing there is no division, if everyone doubts, there is no unity.

Reality? Not my reality. Rarity, if you'd stop asking the same useless questions, I'll either record it or not but your repeating remarks aren't helping the cause.

I know you're busy organizing the Gathering of the Dankalos festival but it should only take you a minute to record. Reality? Not my reality. There is only one reality. So we can assume then if nothing happens by year end, that you are not living in reality? That would also pretty well quash your notion of karma and everyone being connected in the same consciousness. OF COURSE, if you can pull a $5,000,000 concert off by the end of the year with no skills or experience, I will worship your karma beliefs for life.

That's quite a statement to make, there's only one reality? There is only one true reality, but there are infinite alternate realities our consciousness has created. Life is one of them.

Dreams our consciousness creates are not reality. What you think (imagine) inside your mind is not reality. I've told you this before, but you seem to have forgotten. Reality is the state of things as they actually exist, rather than as they may appear or might be imagined. That being said, the reality of things is there will be no concert by the end of the year. Guaranteed.

Before I reply, are you practicing your guitar right now? Maybe "Row row row your boat"?

Dank, don't try to understand quantum physics - based on your interpretation, it's beyond your ability. Dreams are not the same as reality. If you see a live woman's breasts, you are in a dream. If she demands money up front, it's reality.

He can't do that. He believes that everyone's consciousness is connected, but of course that is not reality. You gotta keep pounding that word into him. Eventually he should get it.

So you're pulling numbers out of your ass just like you did with the hookah lounge instead of actually finding out everything you'll need to organise/procure and getting quotes for it. A lot of this stuff will need to be booked months in advance, so you need to find out about it now. You can't even begin getting permits until you've picked a venue and a date. Then you have to organise everything being available at that location on that date. Organising this event should be taking up at least 8 hours of your time each day and you need to find co-organisers within a week. You don't have any money yet, so you can't pay other people to handle the logistics, booking, permits, etc for you. I think someone should design a running total graphic so that we can track how close to his goal of $5 million dank is as the donations come rolling in. If he's aiming to raise $5 million by the end of the year, his daily target is $58,823. Gathering of the Dankalos. LOL
