and now whole site is down. uh oh.

Are we being ddosd? Shares are still contributing.

Still seems to be accepting shares fine.

Also am I allowed to have 2 computers mining on the same "username.1" account??

Yep.

Thank you for the help! I'm sure the website will be up soon enough.

Then I withdraw. lol

lol.  Wink

It has been a long day for the pool.  Couple of issues.

The first is that one out of the three pushpools died.

Then the once-a-minute cron that keeps up some of the hashrate and share info crapped out.  (it's actually hanging connecting to litecoind because litecoind is responding too slowly.)

Then the tunnel daemon for the web service has died a couple of times.

Too much load for this poor server setup.  I have a new box installed and ready to go, I just have to spend a day or so moving all the services over to it.  Might end up being this weekend unfortunately.  My day job is going to be 10-12 hour days the next couple of days.

Cheers.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Not sure.  The hashrates displayed are estimates based on share submissions over a 10-15 minute window.  What reaper/cgminer displays will be more accurate.

Cheers.

Is everyone getting dead worker notification or just me? I'm away on business and unable to login and check my miners.

all my miners are now not connecting at all, they were still working when the site first went down, but no dice now

as a side question, will there ever be stratum support on kattare? if there already is, I couldn't find it so since i'm sitting around thinking about pools, I was wondering about this.  The only one I've seen (with about 2 hours of looking mind you) is litecoinpool and they are closed to registrations.

Hope all my shares counted up until the outtage....

Any updates on whats going on? Notroll is backup but confirmed a DDoS. MtGox and BTC-e have both had a ddos in the last 24 hours.

Should we all be solo mining? Is there a 51% attack happening now?

That's what I thought too, but the website was up for a brief time this morning and NONE of the work I did yesterday showed up. Also zero auto payouts and I have it set to 1LTC, there should have been several by now. It appears to be working fine, but I think the shares are going into the void.

litecoinpool.org is also down...

Take some time this weekend to set up your own p2pool node and mine from that.

DDOS-resistant, no fees, more efficient.

been wanting to look into this for awhile now, maybe this is my chance to get it working

What's up with the stales?  I'm using the "VIP" direct address and I was getting < 2%.  For about the past week I've been getting ~9% stales.

I just saw that there were no new blocks between 2013-04-04 10:34:01 AM and 2013-04-04 05:13:02 PM

Does that mean we have only heated the room? Sad
