Quick question: what size should my blocks be to stake?
They should kinda be over 500 but it's all automatic and they will combine after a while if they are lower than this and are on the same address. It works very fluently really This is next gen after all... Yeah next gen ftw! You can also change your Block sizes in a couple different ways, you can head to the RPC console by going to "help" then "debug window" and then to the console tab. From there you can type "setstakeplitthreshold" followed by the threshold you want to set if you want it higher or lower eg. "setstakeplitthreshold 600" would set your threshold to 600 and blocks larger than 1200 would split into 2 and Blocks under 600 would combine into one Block, if in between it would add the Stake and reward into the same Block. This applies to Blocks in the same addresses, different addresses won't combine together. If you are new to the wallet, you should also go to "options", then to the "display" tab and enable Coin Control. Coin control has a large number of useful functions such as "SplitBlock" as designed by presstab from HyperStake. This function lets you split large Blocks into smaller ones in a more user-friendly way. Larger Blocks (larger than 1-2k) would Stake much closer to the 2 day mark but you may find smaller Blocks would yield better rewards. Test out some sizes and see what works best for you Thanks, i'll try it as soon as i get some con in there

People asking about CON on cryptsy chat lately. Not a bad idea to keep it a topic of interest there, see if you can get an add.

would be awesome cryptsy would be an achievement really, but if not then maybe poloniex could be the next step to take over the world. it seems a good exchange too, they now require a little bit of verification for thousands of dollars trading but not a barrier for CON to worry... for now...

would be awesome Yeah Cryptsy is quite good, we can get some more requests coming in. I'm going to be busy over the next week but I'll still be around, won't have as much time though

I was a bit late to BTC, but I'm planning to become richer than Homero with this one

Technically you can buy and sell anything you want in CON now since it's a part of their market. https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/MarketPlace

I am very glad that the price is rising, but it's somewhat much harder to get stakes in the last days, don't know why... Bad luck maybe, but I didn't sell, I have the same amount, but stake less.. Oh, well.., I guess it's time to buy some more while the price is still affordable and not 20$ then

Oh, well.., I guess it's time to buy some more while the price is still affordable and not 20$ then Well, there is a finite amount of Coins being produced per day but that is relative to the total amount of Coins. As time goes on, the Stakes get harder but that is also good in terms of network security. I think the inflation is down to around 0.6% per day which is still very high but the best spot was a few months ago at the beginning of POS where it was 2% per day. It relies a little more on market trade now so as less Coins are being produced (in relation to money supply), it relies more on trade. Also, we can look to improve rewards and the structure as we go. This isn't like BTC where it is seen as never changeable although increasing the inflation even more generally has the effect where there becomes more downward pressure on price, higher amounts of Coins to already large holders. I was working on ConStand a couple weeks ago with semismiling from the GetHashing forums but haven't heard from him in a while so may end up picking it back up on my own. Cryptopia has their own marketplace now and as a result means CON also has a marketplace, this means we could start selling some goods and merchandise for CON. Movement of Coins drops difficulty as coinage is spent, an active market and more movement takes more Coins out of the competition for Stakes. I would say atleast the fundamentals are good, there is a fairly large base for a network now, price to volume/marketcap is pretty good, the distribution has been good, If you mined or bought early on then the rewards increased, rewards from fees increased and early adopters got together and used Coins staked to do Staking week, and a large giveaway which so far yielded a few new things for the network, lots of upgrades over it's course. I guess the question is, how can it be improved?

Supply is growing at a nice clip, still will be over 300% over the next year for Staking. I want to get more people interested in the Blockchain and coding side of it, I've built the latest changes I've made but needs bug checking. Next things we can work on with the source is getting a bootstrap setup for new users and start experimenting with Block trimming. The thing with a Coin is that after a year, two years etc. is that you generally need a bootstrap or it takes ages to sync, we could just relaunch the Coin then with all the same balances built into the Genesis but experimenting in doing that would help develop an automatic way of trimming off old data, cross chain transactions. We can also do an OP competition and gather some Coins to get some opensource work done on cleaning it up. I did a little competition way back where you just take the OP, give as much available stuff for people to use and the example, users get a bonus of Coins for each edit they do that gets added into the OP depending on complexity. I'll be away over the next day or two, I'm moving house but will have about a month off work. I'm not sure if I will have internet right away at my new place, but I'll be quite a bit more active over the next little while.

Oh yeah, I have been working on a clean-up of the code and it's ready to test out so if anyone would like to Beta this, it would be a big help. https://github.com/Crestington/PayCon/tree/ReviewSo the changes here are additions of "getweight" "getstaketx" and "deleteaddress" RPC calls, weight and time estimate notifications on minting, Coin Control time estimate, reworking of the estimated time, removal of some dead code in the "getaccounts", improved orphan removal, bug fix for unlockformint, improvement for connection to other nodes.

Maybe someone can help me - for the last 2 weeks or so almost every stake is "generated but not accepted". Am I running the wrong version of the wallet? (version 1.4.0.0). Or is something else wrong? I'm pretty much about to give up on this coin. Thanks for your help!

I am running the latest official release and I'm too getting more not accepted than accepted since yesterday. It was way better a few days ago.. Don't know why - maybe someone can provide any insight into what's going on? There are more stakers maybe with open wallets so more chance to generate the block within seconds of each other..?

Hey Crest, lemme get this straight, pos is 30 con for every block? Not 50% right? Or is 50% but the max you can get is 30?

POS is 30 CON per Block Somone should edit out 50% from op then. It's confusing.

I don't think your link about your scam accusation involving mistercashking belongs here, or atleast to be a bit more clear as to who you are referring to. Thanks for the heads up though. Referring to the community so that others can avoid him.
