Hey so I had the latest changes rebuilt but there was some bug introduced that is making the Bluish-White Theme not display properly. Version 1.0.6 is fine but Version 1.0.7 it looks all funky, I figured it was the Mac changes but it isn't.
I've been on Vacation for the last 3 weeks but I head back to work tomorrow.
I'll throw down a 10k CON bounty to whoever can find and fix the bug that is causing the display issue in the Bluish-White Theme between version 1.0.6 and 1.0.7

In what way? My themes are all conned up can't really tell, could ye post a screen?

setstakesplitthreshold is for how the wallet handles the outputs of your stakes. If you have it set to 350 it won't split your stake output into two blocks unless they will both be over 350 in size.  The calculations for it I have found aren't perfect. So it is possible to get one close to the edge that doesn't go exactly as planned. I will try to work with crest to refine this code over time.

Nvm press, he pushed version 1.0.7 and the split/combine threshold seems to work flawlessly.

The glitch is only on Windows, I'm redoing my build kit so I can test and build more myself but won't have as much time today. I've had the last few weeks off since I moved, thought it was about time to get back to work so yesterday I applied at the place I wanted and start today, lol

Here is some of the Stakes I've done the last few days so that it may help you with your Block sizing.

6/23 - 2460
6/22 - 2220.55
6/21 - 2490
6/20 - 3240

I am currently averaging between 1-1.5% per day on 220k, the best sized Blocks for me are between 100-300 with a small range of smaller Blocks (40-80) so I can also have some that will hit for bigger rewards. I am aiming to only have 10% of my Coin not Staking at any given time and use as little weight as possible but currently have about 15% under 2 days age. I have about 1430 Blocks which gives my average Block of 150 Coins, current Stake weight is around 765k but should max out at around 1 million weight. The setstakeplitthreshold will split blocks if it can create 2 Blocks larger than the amount set, the combine threshold will take multiple Blocks under the amount set and combine them along with the reward into one Block. There shouldn't be a need to set the age to combine lower than max age but if you would like to change the age at which they will start combining (seeing as you can compile), it is located in wallet.cpp line 22

Thanks for the info. I've currently setted the split threshold to 150 though my weight is like half yours while my con amount is ~10k less yours, but that's probably because your fix didn't take full effect yet. With 150 blocks i shouldn't hit the max age. I'll run the numbers in a week from now and see how i'm doing.
Now that i'm thinking, if you have ~750k weight with 220k, shouldn't there be a lot more network weight with that giant 1 million Con address that is atop of the richlist?
Edit: Nvm he's 800k now, but that's still pretty massive.

Well more efficiency can be achieved by adjusting your thresholds as you go and maximizing your weight so a very large wallet may not be able to achieve as much if not properly managed. You would quite easily be able to match inflation (0.5% per day currently) but to split hairs, that is the difference between gaining 0.5% per day and gaining 1.5% per day but there is also a set amount of coins produced per day so as more people become more efficient that also lowers the amount for other people so if there are also many people with very small Blocks then you may also need larger Blocks. The Staking is actually really good, it allows more rewards for being more competitive.

Quick question: what size should my blocks be to stake?

They should kinda be over 500 but it's all automatic and they will combine after a while if they are lower than this and are on the same address. It works very fluently really This is next gen after all...

I have 1.0.7 Beta version available for Windows https://www.dropbox.com/s/8qwg6ebbti37pun/PayCon-qt.zip?dl=0 and the change here is that it allows for Blocks of lower sizes to Stake without combining multiple Blocks and will only combine multiple Blocks if older than 14 days and less than 30 Coins. There is a bug in the display of the Bluish-White theme and currently working to resolve it but this latest version is more effective with Staking. Best sized Blocks atm are about 150-300, more Blocks being better for more chances.

How much it actually depends if you babysit your blocks or leave the wallet to stake alone? How much of a difference it is in percentage? I know there is no single objective figure, but how do you think about it what would be the right value for the efforts..?

Hey I tried to sign for my address in the address claim and followed the steps, I was successful and it said it was updated but when I went to check it was not showing me as the owner and wouldn't let me resign the address.

Which address? For some reason CON gives some problems with mysql. It could be that CON is a reserved term? Im not sure.

Also have no idea why it not worked with my adress before.

(newly claimed top100. It´s not that expensive to get there. 0.10 btc or so - "pocket change" actually. it´s worth the fun believe me, better than 0.10 btc sitting in qt wallet doing nothing)
