Last night, while you were sleeping. I fucked the system!

So it has or has not staked already?

The problems is the initial PoS diff of 0.06something.

PoS was/is in place all the time and it should have started after ~24 hours, people started building up coinage, wallets started staking - but PoS didn't happen because of that high initial diff.

The "solution" to that problem was to cut off PoW at block 6000 (why would that help?) and to decrease the PoS diff to 0.006something @ the same block. PoW stopped @ block 6000 now, PoS diff is still the same - so PoS is still not happening.

@ everyone: Is there a github link? Couldn't find it - maybe just blind.

Devs solution was wrong. He tried to fix it in the wrong place. And he should have fixed it before pow ended.

Anthony Edward Stark: "James I'll match any donation you make up to 10k plus my own 10k to the premine address. Just lmk"

Here is from another miner I know, so it looks like people are willing to donate beyond the premine, that is substantial at over 1%. So we have funding to get this right.

But if the coin is fixed and the dev (with the plan) is gone, what's the point?

Dunno. Fixing it wouldn't be that hard - but for what reason?

But if the coin is fixed and the dev (with the plan) is gone, what's the point?

A lot of us liked the idea of the 8% daily staking and then changing after 21 days. What is the point of any alt? Staking coins are generally for fun or to make profit. This one has a good brand name and a Bittrex slot. The premine is intact and people are willing to donate to get it fixed. It could also be bought dirt cheap now, fixed, and a lot of profit could be made..

Perhaps the community could come up with different ideas too, but for a positive the premine was not dumped and is secure, Bittrex slots usually cost 2k ,unless you know the right people, and honestly, I just want to see the damn thing stake at this point. Been staring at the wallet for days, off and on, waiting for it to start.

That's not true. I have three coins on Bittrex and never paid a cent. Paid slots = your face getting dumped on

Well, the premine and donations are there if anyone has the talent and wants to help.

If something had been invested and turned into something usefull, that would be correct. But right now the argument is just:

we have too many bagholders, so we need to fix it.

yup.. far too many people vested in this to leave it broke. My vote is to use some of the premine to hire a talented dev to get this working again.

Vegas

I want to make sure everyone knows that I just released my software called "Yobit pump alert". THis is custom software that uses an algo to detect the start of a pump here on yobit, the second it starts. YOu can even filter the coins you see by price. Most pumps start less than 100 sats , so you can easily filter the cheap coins, so they are the only ones displayed Smiley https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1945937.msg20241953#msg20241953

I don't see this switch that's mentioned, either, but I might be missing it in here. I can't find anywhere else it could be, but again, I could be wrong. I'm not really familiar with whatever coin this was cloned from. This is also where leap years are just thrown out and it's a flat 365 division

Code:
int64 GetProofOfStakeReward(int64 nCoinAge, unsigned int nBits, unsigned int nTime, int nHeight)
{
    int64 nRewardCoinYear;

    if (nHeight > PROTO_CHANGE_BLOCK) // E-Money New PoS Calculations begin here.
    {
        nRewardCoinYear = MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE;
        int64 nSubsidy = nCoinAge * nRewardCoinYear / 365;
        return nSubsidy;
    }
    else
    {
        // E-Money Original PoS Calculations
        CBigNum bnRewardCoinYearLimit = MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE; // Base stake mint rate, 1% year interest
        CBigNum bnTarget;
        bnTarget.SetCompact(nBits);
        CBigNum bnTargetLimit = bnProofOfStakeLimit;
        bnTargetLimit.SetCompact(bnTargetLimit.GetCompact());
        CBigNum bnLowerBound = 1 * CENT; // Lower interest bound is 1% per year
        CBigNum bnUpperBound = bnRewardCoinYearLimit;
        while (bnLowerBound + CENT <= bnUpperBound)
        {
            CBigNum bnMidValue = (bnLowerBound + bnUpperBound) / 2;
            if (fDebug && GetBoolArg("-printcreation"))
                printf("GetProofOfStakeReward() : lower=%"PRI64d" upper=%"PRI64d" mid=%"PRI64d"\n", bnLowerBound.getuint64(), bnUpperBound.getuint64(), bnMidValue.getuint64());
            if (bnMidValue * bnMidValue * bnMidValue * bnMidValue * bnTargetLimit > bnRewardCoinYearLimit * bnRewardCoinYearLimit * bnRewardCoinYearLimit * bnRewardCoinYearLimit * bnTarget)
                bnUpperBound = bnMidValue;
            else
                bnLowerBound = bnMidValue;
        }
        nRewardCoinYear = bnUpperBound.getuint64();
        nRewardCoinYear = min(nRewardCoinYear, MAX_MINT_PROOF_OF_STAKE);
        int64 nSubsidy = nCoinAge * 33 / (365 * 33 + 8) * nRewardCoinYear;
        if (fDebug && GetBoolArg("-printcreation"))
        printf("GetProofOfStakeReward(): create=%s nCoinAge=%"PRI64d" nBits=%d\n", FormatMoney(nSubsidy).c_str(), nCoinAge, nBits);
        return nSubsidy;
    }
}

Essentially, this is:

        int64 nSubsidy = nCoinAge * 29.2 * COIN / 365;

Spots, I *KNOW* you can fix this better than anyone. Can we pay you some of the premine? Please?

If you don't have any stake in this and don't want to help, that is fine, there are lot of other alts out there and Bitcoin is wonderful. Plenty of us have invested into this, at least a lot of mining time, and we want it to work. Stuff like Asiacoin was infinitely worse and saved, hidden premine dumped. This is just some staking bug.

Vegas

Dev was logged in yesterday. So he is not exactly missing yet. So Ocminer cant release the premine

If you dont have a plan with this coin then why fixing the code?
