Help me please! This is my old wallet ver 0.2.3.0  After upgrade wallet ver 0.3.1.0  This is my balance in vanilla blockchain explorer  my suggestion: 1. backup all Vanillacoin folder, normally at C:\Users\ [username]\AppData\Roaming\Vanillacoin 2. make sure that wallet.dat is backup 3. delete all Vanillacoin folder 4. run VNL 0.3.1 Also you can try: 1. BACKUP 2. console > checkwallet - if it shows misplaced coins > 3. repairwallet traumschiff, can you help me link to download console? He posted a windows wallet. The console can be found when clicking on the icon in the upper right (gear-wheel). thanks bother! |

I love the name. I'd scrap the coin and just call it vanilla. Can't understand why people find it weird.
Better than the usual, fast coin, travel coin, plane coin, etc (not bashing)

I thought john mentioned the name chosing one time. There was another name he wanted to chose i think and that name was partially already out there. He came up with vanilla which means : It's the original of something, like the original Ice Cream flavour. In computergames the original game is called classic or vanilla when the expansion comes out.You can not come up with a better name for a coin which is NO clone of ANY crypto out there. Well firstly someone should ask the achinese guy why he dose t like the name. It could be it means something very negative in China like I dunno, incest or donkey cock. Maybe then a name change could be considered later....but they could just use the word for vanilla in Chinese. it seems like why should we bend for the whims of Chinese market but if a Chinese coin came out that was awesome and in the top 10 you don't want them naming it cockface coin or something....
I also know Asians and they tend to say 'oh Chinese people don't like' they tend to voice opinions about the collective. Plus throw language barrier in, maybe only a few people said the name was bad and he made it seem like a billion people didn't like it.
