That exchange already has Hamradiocoin and Truckcoin but Vanilla coin needs to vote.....the indignity. VNL is getting some decent steady vol, exchanges should be happy to have it. What about Cryptsy?

I think that Cryptsy should be avoided.

I agree that liquidity is necessary but there are reasons why I have stopped trading there.  Not to mention that the two exchanges VNL is currently on needed help to compile...meaning that BigVern would need to spend some time figuring it out (and it looks like he might have bigger concerns since he has a. lost trust and b. would have to put in some effort.)

The XT/Core debate should be considered here as well.  VNL is, as far as I can tell, technically superior but there are other market forces involved.  XT being one of them and a reason for the urgency was cited in a reddit post as being that there are technically better solutions coming up.  Whether or not they were referencing VNL;I doubt; but VNL still occupies that role.  Gavin coming out and tweeting that he was going to interact swith BTCD is a huge confidence blow to where the core devs are standing (which is not in relation to each other...seriously, a core dev citing an alt known to be financially manipulative (sigh...I have done my homework) is unprecedented in my knowledge.

There is a lot going on in the alt world right now.  I like that the fundamentals here are solid and not being compromised in light of all of the drama (inter and intra).  Now is the time to just watch and see what happens...cuz BTC drama is not over in my opinion.

Edit to add - Props to Polo.  'Needed help' is probably irreflective of the attention they placed.  But anyone who was around for the C-Cex drama knows that VNL is not a plug and play for exchanges...

2nd Edit to Add - Anyone think it is suspicious that BTC rallied recently prior to its current 'dump'?  Presumably, XT code was already discussed/written/maybereadyforimplementation...

Your post made me change my mind, I agree. The bigger picture is not to have some problem with a wallet on an exchange not implemented right.
The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

https://talk.vanillacoin.net/topic/198/blockchain-scaling

Quote
Blockchain Scaling

With the recent deployment of RC2 with ZeroTime support and the public beta looming I have taken measures to maximise transaction throughput while reducing blockchain size. The following measures were taken.

The maximum block size has been increased to 5 megabytes. This limit will double every 6 months.
The block timing has been increased to 400 seconds or 7.06 minutes.

This will initially allow for a minimum of 90 megabytes worth of transactions per hour or about 100 transactions per second.

Note: I am still testing this configuration on the test network so these numbers are not yet final.

Thank you for your support.
Does anybody know news about this? If it's true i think will be good to include all necessary changes in one hardfork.

He wrote(on IRC) that all the changes will be included in the one(and the last) hardfork. He made a clear statement that if coin is too old it shouldn't be hardforked. I like this approach.

Here is a paper written by John about the change:

If Cryptsy adds VNL, it will not be Big Vern just adding it. He has wallet professionals that would work with xCore or John and make sure it works. I welcome Cryptsy when the time is right and it only can offer more exposure, liquity, and price stabilization.

P.S. If Cryptsy could add ETH and not F it up, VNL will be cake.

The top 25 wallets grew from 42% to 47%.
22% belongs to Poloniex, so about 25% is in hands of the 24 richest wallets now!

Hope I still have 5 days to accumulate, but judging the falling volume  I'm guessing that the whale group is soon to be finished with the its wall shenanigans..

If I'm lucky they will keep at it until Monday
