VNL looking promising with its innovative technology so there is still time to get cheap coins at this price, 100K is coming in a short of time. Grin

Can anyone explain the mining feature in my VNL wallet? When the wallet is open, I automatically mint a few coins (PoS I guess). I clicked on "start mining" guessing I could generate more that way. Not sure how much more. The problem was that mining seemed to really run my laptop hot. So, wondering if mining requires a more powerful set-up. Thx for your patience on the newbie questions.

That utilizes your CPU for hashing.  It really isn't powerful enough to be worthwhile at this point because there is a lot of GPU power on the network.  Very unlikely you will receive any reward mining from the wallet, if you have a GPU you can join a pool to mine.

Nice if you get a response from Bter (an addition would be positive), but I'm not touching them.

I'm gladly writing btc38. Do they have a public e-mail adress? Tried to open a ticket on the english interface, but it doesn't really load.

Top 11th in volume right now and 34th in marketcap.

Also, the following tweet, which is a reply to Dash, has over 2x the retweets of Dash's tweet: https://twitter.com/Vanillacoin1/status/627769308064514048

Net hashrate is about 5Ths. Does it mean, that FPGA's minning period has started for good?

Real hashrate is around 1.45 TH/s.  There are no large hidden pools currently.  Add up suprnova and idcray to get the hashrate.  Net hashrate is based on difficulty, which fluctuates wildly.  If blocks are found too quickly, difficulty spikes.

Kind of a waste to throw that much hash at it, they are just going to be spinning wheels eventually.

Congratulations. Does this tech work? Not buying at these prices, but it might be a good signal once bottomed out again.
