The good message is that avalon isnt as far as i thought. I asked in their user thread and a user wrote me: "5 x 66 Gh/s have been confirmed, maybe 6. So optimistically 400 Gh/s. One unit had 4 instead of 3 modules, so it's a bit faster." So thats not a big competition to asicminer yet. But of course there has to be a plan how 50TH can be brought online as fast as possible once they arrive.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

It seems like ASICMINER is accounting for at least 50% of the total in the BTC Guild pool now.  Will it make sense to solo mine at some point?  Or are the pools being used now for transparency purposes?

The first prognoses was that 12TH would be brought online in 2 weeks.... After 4 weeks just under 5TH is hashing.... I'm not complaining but we are lucky the others havent started shipping yet....

I do agree the sooner we get everything online the better, but Friedcat knows that, so I wouldnt worry

I would like to get an update on why we are having delays in deploying and if the 50TH will be deployed quicker now that they have experience in deployment

Friedcat, would you mind sharing power consumption numbers (Mhash/Joule) of your chips? Do they match what you initially estimated?

Just FYI:  It's only been 2 weeks since the first ASICMINER chips came online.  They came online around the 11th/12th of February.

Hmm. miners going offline en masse, hashrate down to 2 TH/s.

It looks like ASICMiner just went offline.  It is down to 1,940 MH/s.  I hope friedcat or someone gets a text message alert or something if it goes offline.  Or maybe they are doing some sort of testing?

BTCGuild appears to use a moving average to calculate hashrate.  As fast as it is dropping, I'd say ASICMiner is 100% offline.

Yes, ASICMINER is 100% offline, thus the rapidly declining speed (Hall of Fame is a 1-hour average calculation).  I personally do monitoring for them as long as I'm awake during the day, so they have been notified personally of the problem.

They're getting ready for larger deployment? Pool transition? Solo mining? The miners are malfunctioning? Friedcat tripped on the power cord for one of the racks?

In all fairness, he kept referring to the current deployment as "stress test", so a migration of some sort is plausible.

It seems to me that solo mining with the ACICMINER miners would make sense.  I did enjoy watching the worker dominate on BTC Guild though...

4   67117   123.77 GH/s

Has there been a big drop in overall network hashrate or just BTC Guild hashrate?   It will be interesting to see if their hash power turns up somewhere else.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.

There's no way to measure overall network hash rate reliably, especially in such short term.  But no other pool is showing the hash power show up.

ASICMINER just turned back on at BTC Guild [shares counter started increasing again, and speed did not fully drop to 0].  Remember that the speed shown on hall of fame is a 1-hour average, so don't be alarmed if it looks like a slow growth back up.

Not sure if you can comment or not, but is the whole ~5TH we've seen so far connected with a single worker?

It will be interesting to see how quickly they can get it back over 4.5 TH.  Perhaps they're testing that themselves.  It'd be nice to see it just keep climbing now, all the way up to 12 TH.

All I can say is that this is Bitcoin. I don't believe it until I see six confirmations.
