The Friedone stated that the financials would be available in the Oct 20x's if I remember correctly. By the end of October we will all know much more about the state of ASICMINER.

For those of us castoffs from BTCT.CO who are new owners of direct shares, is there a guide anywhere for expectations of direct-share owners? Namely now to transfer or update our payment address if necessary? I don't see that in the first few posts of this thread, and didn't get that information as part of the transition.

Expectations:

- You will receive divs sent directly to your address. (roughly weekly.)
- If you have over 5k shares you may become a board member.

Transfers:

- You can initiate transfers from your BTC address by sending a PM to Friedcat requesting the transfer from your BTC address to another person's BTC address.  Include the quantity of shares and a contact email address for both parties.  Also, be prepared to sign your BTC address to prove ownership.  Typically if you're wanting to trade your shares on another exchange, that will mean transferring your shares to the exchange operators account, or the issuers account with ASICMINER, after which PT shares would be issued to you on the exchange.

i dont understand , why price rised? didnt friedcat said expect lower dividend for few weeks?  only 2 lows we got, and those hashs are being added until to 60th as said in his last update.

take that 85 minus 47 - 19 = 19th in cooling immersion

correct me if im wrong, but hash didnt increase, maybe some people want milk more btc.

btw, i think dollar will collapse , it might drive btc high before dollar = nothing

if other way round, people will stop sell btc to americans, becuase they dont want worthless dollar

How exactly dollar collapses ? They can make dept to themselves for infinity and even if something fails and dollar goes under most of the world would go too...
Other than that fatal opinion of yours I dont get why price is going up either some addition of hashrate that cant even keep up percentage that we hard 2 weeks ago isnt really a good news.

7. Research & Development
We had tried several different really intricate and speculative designs for 2014, based on the assumption being competitive in a fully saturated market (average return rate getting close to normal business' single digits per year). but originally with a limited channel/staff, it can be very difficult to fully explore them. So, we conducted interviews, and recently identified several exceptional people.

We will be spreading design risk by working on several designs simultaneously and having all other designs' info/simulation results fed back to the main design process. Our designs changed aggressively and the expected successful rate (on a working mask) drops compared to the standard flow so it has to be fully (wave-level) simulated before fabrication.

you see, for 2014 it means, the new gen which will be out before end of this year is the same hardware that will compete in 2014.

so as you read, they are working hard and its not fab-ed yet, becuase there is no announcement for it.

it could be out on december fully assembled, i doubt in novemeber, properly fab done around mid-late november

Stock prices are always bets on the future. If the second gen is as successful as the first one we can see stock prices like a few months ago again.

Correct, from the moment we're solomining it's based on the found blocks (also mentioned at the bottom of the website.)

Simply because there is (and never was) an official public hashrate meter.

Stock prices are always bets on the future. If the second gen is as successful as the first one we can see stock prices like a few months ago again.

dont think so it will repeat like before exactly, becuase there is competition now, AM was the first in race during gen 1, now there are other faster horses.

if gen 2 comes, it will not jump so high, it would be valued by its hash + and next news if sooner, etc

Friedcat,  I am an American who panic sold a bunch of shares  when Bitfunder closed unexpectedly and I am afraid that I am going to be kicking myself in the ass for it,however I did keep some shares and I am going to take advantage of the shares while they're low..I hope like hell you can make it as awesome as it was in the beginning. My major concern though is lack of updates from you or the board, can we expect more now that you have a PR group? I hope so because I am buying back in..BIG time:) GO ASICMINER GO!!

I sort of panic bought 1 AM1 and 7 AM100 when I thought that the share price had hit its bottom at around 0.55. I was correct, it has been on the rise since. Made good from selling 56 AM100 earlier on at 1.2, which I felt a bit bad about. It averaged down my earlier buying at 2.5 / 3.7 (ouch) to 2.25. Still hope to at least break even with this adventure.

Because they lost the mining game.

I'm sure they're doing what they can to advance the new gen, but in the meantime, if they actually manage to whip up a securities exchange Americans can use and on which both AM shares and other securities can be traded on, it could become an even more profitable endeavor in the long term.
