oh the meter works based on block found?

i thought is real time direct from hardware source. meh then its stupid reason for that little price jump.

new gen is still far, and they will still need to keep some of dividend, clues can be found earlier post above R&D
Stock prices are always bets on the future. If the second gen is as successful as the first one we can see stock prices like a few months ago again.

Correct, from the moment we're solomining it's based on the found blocks (also mentioned at the bottom of the website.)

Simply because there is (and never was) an official public hashrate meter. Wink

*It was always pretty accurate because Asicminer owned 10%/20%+ of the network. At the moment the meters swings
like crazy because 1 'luckily' found block extra adds an estimated ~10TH/s to it.
After all; your mining dividend totally depends on the found blocks, NOT on the actual hashrate. Wink

dont think so it will repeat like before exactly, becuase there is competition now, AM was the first in race during gen 1, now there are other faster horses.

if gen 2 comes, it will not jump so high, it would be valued by its hash + and next news if sooner, etc

edit: lol maybe if AM deploys 1-2ph+ from no where,

Quick Update

The original vague range of October 20s is now made accurate at October 27th, when the projected publication of financial reports. This time it will be more detailed and informative than the last time's.

Upcoming scheduled to be happening (in time order):

Imminent repricing according to the market and the quantity.
Immersion cooling exhibition.
Payment system out of pre-alpha.
Blockchain-based exchange out of pre-alpha (whether to migrate whole ASICMiner database is still a serious debating topic).

Friedcat,  I am an American who panic sold a bunch of shares  Angry when Bitfunder closed unexpectedly and I am afraid that I am going to be kicking myself in the ass for it,however I did keep some shares and I am going to take advantage of the shares while they're low..I hope like hell you can make it as awesome as it was in the beginning. My major concern though is lack of updates from you or the board, can we expect more now that you have a PR group? I hope so because I am buying back in..BIG time:) GO ASICMINER GO!!

+1

Also I don't want to be rude or something, but why is ASICminer doing everything else beside mining? Exchange? Payment system? Cooling? ASICminer didn't mine any block in last 22hours...

Anyway thanks for update, we're happy for each piece of information.

I sort of panic bought 1 AM1 and 7 AM100 when I thought that the share price had hit its bottom at around 0.55. I was correct, it has been on the rise since. Made good from selling 56 AM100 earlier on at 1.2, which I felt a bit bad about. It averaged down my earlier buying at 2.5 / 3.7 (ouch) to 2.25. Still hope to at least break even with this adventure. Because they lost the mining game.

I'm sure they're doing what they can to advance the new gen, but in the meantime, if they actually manage to whip up a securities exchange Americans can use and on which both AM shares and other securities can be traded on, it could become an even more profitable endeavor in the long term.

but why is ASICminer doing everything else beside mining?
because mining is less profitable than hardware sales, franchising, cooling, etc

Because they are losing the mining race, but they have noticed there are more avenues where they might still win?
I'd say it's a great signal.
I mean, great considering how much bad gen2 was.

Microsoft began selling BASIC for the Altair and then they moved on to lots of things including selling mice/keyboards and computer games consoles.

So I assume that the repricing will result in much cheaper blades? I don't think the block erupters can go for cheaper than $10 each unless you guys just want to drop the stock at loss.

Immersion cooling - Will you guys be putting out any real information regarding this later on? I am sure as hell that there are many in the industry who would find good data from this test.

Blockchain-based exchange - Now this sounds interesting! Both you guys and AcitveMining are working on this, any way to get into this during your eventual beta phase for someone who doesn't trade much BTC?

I wonder how many asic owning companies will survive. I guess they will ordere more asics than the network can eat and still remain profitable. So some will die i think.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.
