101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bull started? on: October 28, 2022, 04:57:31 PM
Just of yesterday I have seen a strong move of the ethereum gaining about 10 percent from the previous price and I was triggered to know if the bull about to kick off.
What do you smells from it?
It does seem like you are only looking at the Ethereum price from a small time scale. If you look at the daily price chat for Ethereum price, you would realize that this small pump was since Friday 21, Oct about 7 days ago with like 27% pump but we are actually going down since yesterday 27 Oct.

and this is normal even in a bear market if you zoom out you would notice that a similar incident has happened since the beginning of this downtrend.

I think that we are still in a bear market phase, and little by little the market can recover soon.
Didn't expect that the BTC will go pump up hitting $21k but my speculation is that it will go reach below $20k and then go pump again.
It might not be soon as most are expecting, that is why with every little correction upward of the Bitcoin price most people will think that the market is going into a Bull season. We could see the market trading between the last low of $17k to $21k, which could be the range for some time or could even drop below. Just understand that the market will indeed reverse, but I don't think that will be soon.
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and bear season. on: October 28, 2022, 03:22:21 PM
Where will bitcoin's final bottom level be during this bear season
No one can know the actual bottom price of the Bitcoin market but according to the historical price of BTC, it appears to always lost around 80%-95% of its ATH price when it total market correction.

Even as at the current market price, BTC has dropped about -73% from the last ATH and from what you are saying, If the market will follow the previous level of drop from their ATHs, dropping -80% will put BTC price at around $13k+ and a dip to -90% will mean that BTCitcoin will be trading around $6k+, I really don't see that happening.

In the next bullish season, it is certain that BTC will make the $100K price that was predicted for the previous bullish market.
This is also possible looking at how much the Bitcoins price have to rise from the bottom of $3k+ 2018 to the 2021 ATH of $69+, more than 2000% and from current trading BTC to $100k would be about +450%. Even if we still see a bit more dip in price, I believe next ATH would surpass $100k.
103  Economy / Economics / Re: Why exactly did Elon want to buy Twitter? on: October 28, 2022, 01:00:46 PM
Any media is power. But according to Musk, he fights for freedom of speech so that everyone can express their point of view. Dogecoin's payments were also Musk's promises. But we can see all this in the future. Will Twitter really be a free platform, or will we see another power with its own laws in this society.
So does this mean Elon Musk can even tweet whatever he wants and influence the market since he is the owner of the platform now without someone censoring him Huh Because I believe maybe before now that would have happened if he posted something that might be inappropriate for the market or seen as trying to manipulate the market.

105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Among all which do you hold on: October 28, 2022, 08:00:24 AM
Hello I have thought of holding 4 particular currencies which includes BTC, ETH, BNB, UCT. But within me I feels I should trade with them to accumulate more of those currencies maybe before the bear will be finally over I would have ended up having much of them I engaged myself by trading.

I want to know if holding or trading will be more preferred. All suggestions are welcomed.

I believe it is basically about what you can do. Firstly, Hodling does not cost you anything but just to buy and hodl till the price of the particular coin is right to sell and take profit but as far as trading is concerned, you cannot do it unless you actually know how to trade and understands that market instead of someone just telling you, you can accumulate more by trading which is true but you must have the know-how. So if you don't know ho to trade, just buy and hodl.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptocurrency replace other currencies? on: October 27, 2022, 04:35:04 PM
Will this happen in this same system where when there is a little dip in the crypto market, most people will be shouting Bitcoin is Dead and there is panic everywhere? the truth is that even most people are not even ready for that to happen, A Crypto takeover of Fiat currency even if we see people posting it here. For now, I am still trying to understand how the Governments will give up their own currency for Crypto as the main currency but I however believe they can coexist without one replacing the other.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Tron wallets on: October 27, 2022, 01:03:45 PM
Yeah right, the only thing Tron is good for is gas fee on stable coin like USDT, sorry to say but this project is garbage, I am wondering why Math wallet isn't on that list because that's what I used for Tron long ago when I still think that the project can develop into something better, I still wonder what keeps this coin in top rank on CMC.
Right, so even while some might be looking at Tron as a dead project with obviously no new development on the network, others might see something else, and maybe because of the low transaction fee and also maybe for passive income via staking it, I don't know. Sitting on #15 on CMC with a MC of about $6 Billion, definitely some people still see value in it.
108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Macro factors might Hit BTC to bloody on: October 27, 2022, 11:37:57 AM
As per my understanding.

we only focus on micro factors , but need to consider the macro factors. who knows what direction Global inflation does go , Corona virus new versions , Economic recessions  ,Housing bubbles, World wars.

Before 2025, we can see more fluctuations on Equity , BTC markets with these macro. Dont think always technical will lead to find the bottom of btc or up.

Bitcoin price has been in free fall since the last five months and many investors are worried that the price may continue to fall as global issues continue as you mentioned.

I think the best option is to take it to BTC according to your income and hold/trade it for profit. What are the possibilities ten years from now? While it's hard to say for sure, the sky is certainly not the limit for this emerging technology.
Even with all the events that have happened around the world and have impacted the Global economy negatively, Bitcoin has performed better than the fall from the 2017 ATH when compared to this last one. From the ATH of 2017, BTCitcoin dropped about -84% while it has dropped about -74% thus far.
I believe as it is now, the market has seen the worst that could happen, and whatever dip that might still happen wouldn't be that bad, fingers crossed  Smiley
109  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Major Dumps in Bitcoin History and What to learn from there? on: October 27, 2022, 10:23:15 AM
Remember Weak hands always lose money no doubt that you need to face a hard time but the point is what are you getting right now, you cant regain it after few years so as many of us crying now they missed the train point is after few years many of us again are going to repeat their train so think now.
I want to remind you to always have a strong hand in holding bitcoin, especially if the market conditions are not as good as they are now. But the current market conditions are better because the price could return to $20k and we can expect it to break through $21k and the next high. Right now is still a good time to buy more bitcoins because if the price has started to increase, we can miss buying at a low price. But that's just a suggestion and the rest is up to you.
There have been different analysis to the market price movement and in one thread I posted on earlier today, there were these scenarios shown of different little pumps in the market price even during the bear market, and we could be seeing that with what has happened to BTCitcoin price since like Oct. 22 to now or are we really on a breakout like what the BTC Macro RSI chart is pointing at below?

I saw this BTC Macro RSI chart in one of the telegram group (Bitcoin News) I am following which states that, we might be seeing a  "bullish breakout of its trendline since January 2021 top" and this pattern has occurred in previous years before the big rally upward. Can we see the same thing happening again going forward for Bitcoin price?
However, in all situation, I believe that investing in Bitcoin during this time would be a wise choice by anyone.
110  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bear market likely over? on: October 27, 2022, 06:10:09 AM
Seems the bear market is likely going soonest. Congratulations in advance to those who bought low and those hodling for a long time. There is likely going to be a new all time high to be achieved before this year comes to an end. If you can, fill up your bag but do your own research.

What do you all think about the sudden bounce back and price increase on Bitcoin of lately?
I don't think that the bear market is going soonest as you believe, normally I believe that the market would even go through some months if not years of accumulation stage which I don't think we have really seen yet plus this bit of a relief rally does happen in the market over the cause of the Bear season.

You would see at different intervals here, we have had this small pumps, but the general market sentiment is still bearish. Let's hope you are right about market reversal, but it would be nice to have a proper confirmation
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shitcoins and Memecoins on: October 26, 2022, 04:22:25 PM
Did you notice?
It is shitcoin season!!! Memecoins are not to be left behind!

What are Shitcoins?

Shitcoins are crypto assets with little to no value or digital currency that has no immediate, discernible purpose.
On the other hand, Memecoins are genres of crypto assets with it?s value derived from it?s community?s support. They are largely speculative.

Grin Yeah, maybe you wanted to take on the name as a reminder of who left the office just a day before you registered this account and I hope will stick around for more than 44 day in this forum. Anyway, you should understand that in the market trend we have been in for the past months, even the best Bitcoin is not spared let alone Shitcoins and meme coins without any true purpose. People only invest in these shitcoins for the quick gains, after which those projects die off and that has always been the Devs mission, so don't get overly excited about them and invest as little as you can afford to lose even during the Bull market.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways to earn aside from bounty campaign and airdrop on: October 26, 2022, 02:28:42 PM
I missed a lot of these testnets. Maybe it's time to be back. Thanks for this A-list. ( I think )

While participating in the testnets, it is important to be wary of the kinds of website you connect your wallet to, many testnet events are out to hack your wallet and drain your funds. So be sure to participate in testnets event using a new wallet. Also, be sure to dyor; not all test-nets events are incentivized
That's why the Op has warned in advance to use a dummy wallet or dummy email and my advice is also to record all of our dummy wallet information in a notepad so as not to lose access to reopen it.
This is the first time I heard about it and I think it's worth trying because it's a little different from bounty where bounty has so many tasks to do while it's simpler

Yes, there is some sort of disclaimer from the OP in the beginner, and obviously, you need to separate everything including your emails so that there will be no spam coming from this so called projects and it should be very clean account for you.

Otherwise, if all of your crypto and personal emails are in one, then it will be clogged and maybe you will be spam to death and can't identify which one is the most important emails for you, so just be careful in joining with your real email accounts, just create multiple dummy accounts.
And the wallet we use too should be different from your regular wallet. This is why some people will later experience their wallets been emptied because in the process of doing these kinds of task, you might end up doing a scam one. I normally don't do many airdrops but when I do, I do have a specific email and wallet for Airdrops I believe it's safer.

113  Economy / Economics / Re: World going to Crisis and money saving mode but good to start trading on: October 26, 2022, 11:36:04 AM
So join with us For Free becouse later you gona pay 50$ -100$ per month to get daily trading signals from us.

You are yet to finish with that thread and you are here again trying to win some souls  Grin

I'm sure it is about the money and trading fee for you. Why don't you try to teach traders how to do it instead you want to start sending signals for money but I think people here won't really give it too much of a thought to pay for signals.
Yeah, some people no longer have the option of teaching others what they know just for the reward of it, but you have to pay for a trade signal. While many YouTubers post all these signal for free, someone is trying to make money, probably from signals that he got from others. I am currently in a telegram group where the Admin has been teaching people different forms of trading strategies and even gave away free trading Bots that I have been using for weeks now and have never missed my daily profit target, and it was all done for free. People like that will eventually get more from the appreciation the group will give him than if he had charged for the training and the BOT's and yes, there are different Bots too.
114  Economy / Economics / Re: Flood causing economics crises on: October 26, 2022, 10:56:30 AM
Floods and natural disasters can certainly be the cause of crises, especially the food crisis, many agricultural lands are damaged resulting in crop failure, this makes us always have to protect the environment so that floods do not occur.
That is definitely true. Natural disasters like typhoons are one of the burdens and struggles that the agriculture industry has been facing each year.  The damage won't only affect the farmers but also the local market as the agricultural supply lessens. Natural disasters are unstoppable but I hope the government will still do alternatives so agricultural properties will still be saved during unexpected disasters. Every individual has their role in saving the environment as well so as much as possible we should value it because we don't know the real effect of flooding on the lives of our poor farmers and agriculturist.
During the month of Sep - Oct, during monson there were so much rain in Asian region that Pakistan and India were badly affected by flood
this was the worse flood in the history of Pakistan the whole region was affected by the flood and surly that resulted in the crisis
And most states in Nigeria are currently going through the same flood problem now after the heavy downpours over a number of days and the release of water from the Cameroon's Lagdo Dam which has resulted to the effect of what is being seen across most Nigerian states disrupting all economic activities in those sates and by extension other states.
This is Bayelsa State in the southern part of the country.
115  Economy / Economics / Re: Corruption Should Be Taught From Young Age on: October 26, 2022, 10:25:00 AM
In many nations around the world, corruption is a serious problem. It is regarded as a weapon of mass destruction that has greatly damaged several nations' public and private sectors.
Several of the factors that contribute to corruption are listed below:

(1) Government size and structure
(2) Political system and democracy
(3) Institutional quality
(4) Economic freedom/openness
(5) Civil service wages
(6) Justice system, press freedom, etc.

In addition to all of the aforementioned factors, I believe corruption in society can be combated at a young age. This means that students should be taught about the negative effects of corruption in society and how it may influence them in the future, outside of the classroom.

When I was a student in the university, I recall that some of my fellow students who were given leadership roles in school organizations embezzled thousands of money into their own pockets. By this, I mean that some of the expenses for improvements to the school that benefited all of us which was mandatory to be paid by every students. Imagine if they had been exposed to millions or billions of money instead of only thousands of it at the time when they embezzled the money, I’m sure they’ll still embezzle more.

Most times, people like that are frequently given the opportunity to serve the public in elected office. When exposed to public finances, a person with a history of embezzlement will always find a method to make off with large sums of money. Before becoming a fully corrupt leader, everything starts in school at an early age. At that point in their lives, a mature individual who has corruption ingrained in their system will find it difficult to let go of it.

However, I believe that if the problem of corruption can be addressed at a young age, every country's degree of corruption will significantly decline in the near future.

Even while teaching what corruption is and not partaking in it is a good thing, young people have been thought that value by their parents from the beginning or their young age and still most of them end up participating in corrupt practices in their future endeavor but the problem in my view is the system. The system that have ceased to punish those individuals be it Politicians or others that engaged in corrupt practices.

What was done to the students in your school that "embezzled thousands of money into their own pockets" cos you never told us what was done to them and same goes to our Politicians, not within the Government or Subsequent Government do we see some one calling for the punishment of those people.  We have heard about countries where persons are executed for some level of corruption, that might not totally stop it but it will drastically reduce it. There must be some hard level of punishment to deter people from committing such crimes else it wont stop, the next person will just be like, what was done to the first person? nothing will be done to me too and the circle continues.

116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does new projects succeed in bear on: October 25, 2022, 03:20:17 PM
The bear market has been a good entering to buy on a new project like this that market has not been pump, yet is a good opportunity to new investors to come into the board while waiting for market to range well for the next bull run market trading.
Even if this is correct as in, investing in new projects during the bear market might give you a huge potential for profit returns but this is also a big risk. You must have vetted the project to at least have a level of conviction that they are ready and that what they are proposing for the project looks good. Every project was new at a point but the strong will survive this type of market.
117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made a mistake shorting BTC at 17k on: October 25, 2022, 10:07:25 AM
I've been holding BTC since 2020. 2 weeks ago when inflation data came out saying core CPI went up a lot i sold my BTC at 18,000$.At first it seemed i made right choice since stocks went almost -3% premarket and i thought we're gonna have final capitulation in both stocks and BTC, that it will go down to 13-15k.

Well when market opened everything just went up, ended like almost +3% at the end of the day. It was the perfect explanation why you shouldn't time the market. I made a huge mistake and i really refuse to buy BTC at now higher price.
It really seems BTC bottomed at 17.5k and stocks(SP 500) at 3480.

Now market is pumping like crazy, its obvious we won't go back to 18k or below.
Good luck to all, i hope you're smarter than me
Sorry to hear this but from what you said, you have been hodling your BTC since 2020 so you definitely would be in some profit even as you have sold which was obviously a mistake because if you look at all relevant Bitcoin price chart, the market is basically around the bottom which would have suggested continuing to hodl, but we all make mistakes and since we can establish that, it will be good to buy back cos even IF the market might go down, it might not really be that much again

I suggest you buy back your BTC now before prices shoot back up because the logarithmic rainbow charts are already putting this current price in "Basically a fire sale", even almost breaking below that color line - meaning we will never see $17K again (sorry Bitcoin to zero doomers).

And I agree, we can clearly see what @NotATether is talking about there, and even though the market could go below, I still think we are around the bottom.

118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How accurate is the BTC RAINBOW chart? on: October 24, 2022, 06:26:44 AM
The chart doesn't really predict anything, just tells you whether or not it's a good time to buy.

Seems like a decent guide but I wouldn't bet my life savings on it.
You are right, I also like to look at it sometimes and have referenced it a few times as well but I also believe that most if not all of those chats are more of a guide as you mention as we have seen with some TAs that were put out by crypto influencers but turned out to have gone the other way, however, I think we can still use them cautiously.
119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important are exchanges? on: October 24, 2022, 06:12:29 AM
Not so important for BTC TBH. But for other crypto as Altcoins, i think exchanges have done a good job. As for sending a different network tokens to exchange for some other blockchain, would be kind of hard without exchanges.
But BTC is a single chain operator. If you are not in BTC blockchain network, do you really own BTC? That's the question for some other time.
But to value the exchanges, it has helped a lot to build a combined network with different assets.
So it has it's benefits.
I really don't think that Bitcoin or any other crypto asset is in question here but "How important are exchanges?" Of cause, if it is not on the BTC network, it is really not Bitcoin, like all those wrapped BTCs however, how have the exchanges assisted in the general crypto space, has crypto exchange assisted in easing the exchange i.e Buy and Selling of our crypto assets or it wouldn't have mattered if there were no exchanges it still would have been easy to trade Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. I still think the exchange is important in that sense.
120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Education on: October 24, 2022, 05:57:51 AM
I think awareness is more important rather then education if a person knows there is something called crypto and there is Bitcoin which can be future money then the person Is going to Educate himself on his own efforts. Open up a college or institute to crypto and the neighbors don't even know there is something called BTC.

Dude agreed youth need be educated for the Crypto...
But
Awareness is the First step and Education second step.
Rightly said and thinking about it, how many of us here actually had a formal education in cryptocurrency or Bitcoin in particular? It was all about being aware that something is happening which is Bitcoin and we just got interested and along the way started to educate ourselves about it and certainly not in the classroom. It is however a good thing that this is happening in schools, the education for Bitcoin and the Blockchains and I also believe in the near future we will be seeing more crypto-savvy people because of the Crypto Education in the institutions now.
