1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A question no one ever asked on: May 18, 2021, 11:29:26 AM
There are always two sides to everything, Life and death, front and back, up and down, Right and left, you get the picture. So same applies to whichever market that has existed even before cryptocurrencies. It is a natural thing and will always follow suit for there to be normalcy in the system. There has to be a correction since the market cannot continue in one upward direction because investors will definitely take profits at some point.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A list of Pump and Dump tokens. on: May 17, 2021, 09:27:44 AM
To be honest, the whole cryptocurrency space right now is looking suspicious like a pump and dump to me. If someone can make a tweet and that greatly influences any cryptocurrency to have a huge shift in price both upward when the news is favourable and downward if not, and obviously whether they agree to it or not, must have definitely made huge profits from the process, to me that's a text book definition for a pump and dump Angry

Crypto has always been a pump and dump  and not just with altcoins. Look at the history of Bitcoin before Elon tweeted about any of it.  I remember it shooting up to 18k and then falling back down to 4k  then people started buying like crazy again and so the price jumped up again.  Its what crypto is all about now ... how much profit u can make ...

True and this action with Elon musk just further proves that not only the Alts are treated that way but Bitcoin as well could get the same treatment of pump and dump because this is clearly what Elon did and still doing with Dogecoin IMO too but the only thing would be that it is more prevalent with Alts.
1023  Economy / Economics / Re: 🔴 Breaking News - Elon Musk is going to part with all his Bitcoin BTC on: May 17, 2021, 09:17:39 AM
"Elon Musk is going to part with all his Bitcoin BTC" IMHO he already did before he made that baseless tweet. We understand that the crypto market has its ups and downs but the little push by Elon musk will soon blow over and the market returns back to normalcy even if it will take some years as usual but at least I hope Investors learn from this and not quick to react to all such kind of news.
1024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to become Rich Elon Strategy on: May 17, 2021, 09:11:04 AM
Time to get pass this two-face individual and look towards better things ahead, enough of the relevance given to this Con Musk, glade he has reveal his true intentions to the public to see (not that it means anything to him) those who hang onto every word and tweet that comes from him should take note, it is difficult to keep track with a chameleon.  Roll Eyes
Certainly. I believe in the past day's EM have been given too many attention across all social media platform for his irrelevance and lack of knowledge to the cryptocurrency space and we should move on and focus on getting the market back to where it ought to be.  Cool
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which is Better to invest in (LOGICALLY,) Bitcoin or Dodgecoin? on: May 17, 2021, 08:58:22 AM
Here is what is persuading me to buy Dodgecoin over BTC, but I could be wrong. What do you guys think?

https://provscons.com/why-is-dogecoin-better-than-bitcoin/

Logically speaking, the above link lists all the negatives of BTC and pros of using Dodgecoin over BTC

The article clearly mentions this:

"Cryptos were not supposed to become collectible items. Over the years, however, Bitcoin became a collectible item"
So since the beginning of the launch of Bitcoin back in 2009, the poster did not realize that it was not supposed to be used as a collectible item to have informed us of this until now. Anyways I didn't bother to read the article because I really care less about what will be said and it is your choice to invest in whichever cryptocurrency you wish to without seeking anyone's advice cos it seems to me that you are seeking advice. Before the tweet, no one thought that investing in dogecoin was a thing but it is all I see these days.  Grin
1026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about Elon Musk? Is he harmful or useful for Bitcoin? on: May 17, 2021, 08:38:19 AM

Today he mentioned Bitcoin as a highly centralized currency. My question is why he realized after a long time? He wasn't aware from the beginning about the mining issue and bla bla?

The same question I have tried to answer over and over in my head thinking, someone with all the resources like Elon musk should have been able to know what the Bitcoin process is all about from mining to trading, this is something I believed they would research on before investing such Billion $ on it. But this just proves how Sh*t head he is by telling the world that no research was done before investment to only come out weeks after with these negative talks.
1027  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you see yourself quitting after this bullrun? on: May 16, 2021, 05:50:33 PM
"Goldman Sachs banker quits after making millions on cryptocurrency" - That's the headline on one of CNBC article

Quote
~ Aziz McMahon, Goldman’s managing director and head of emerging market sales in London, quit after making millions of pounds from a bet on the digital currency ether, three former employees at the investment bank told CNBC.

~ McMahon is believed to have cashed in at least £10 million ($14 million) worth of cryptocurrency, the sources said.

~ When approached by CNBC, Goldman Sachs confirmed McMahon’s departure but declined to comment any further.

I purposely left out the coins he bought and profited from because it's irrelevant. The guy must be earning big already given his former position but it took investment in cryptocurrency to quit his job.

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.
Most definitely if I was to make that kind of eff you Money  Grin. The reason I work is to make money and I just made that through cryptocurrency investment so I wouldn't see any reason to continue working 9 to 5 if I can simply now reinvest some of the money when the time is right back into crypto again and re-run the process. Wink
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What'sa good alternative for USDT? (Searching for good stablecoins) on: May 16, 2021, 05:44:23 PM
Hi,

after that Dogepump i have converted my DOGE to USDT, so i can buy more BTC when it dumps. But now i have heard negative things about USDT. What is a good alternative stablecoin for next time? There are so many and i don't know the difference of them (besides the name^^). Can someone guide me a little?
The thing is for me since Binance which I trade in the most have my own local currency listed in the exchange, I use that the most if I want to sell off my crypto assets into a more stable coin and if you have the same option with the exchange you trade-in I believe this is a good alternative but this doesn't mean I still don't use USDT, BUSD or anyone that is available in the exchange I am trading in at that time.
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this the end of the bull market of crypto? on: May 16, 2021, 04:37:52 PM
Well at the end of the day, I don't suppose anyone can say categorically if the Bull market has ended and we are in the Bear season but it was obvious that the tweet from Elon musk kindda help to trigger the down trend we are currently facing and this has continued for a couple of days now with some few crypto analysts pointing to Bear market entry so I would suggest close monitoring of the market so that you don't get to miss out in taking your profits.
1030  Economy / Economics / Re: Tesla stops car purchases with Bitcoin on: May 16, 2021, 04:27:55 PM
I think that it was just a suspension so technically they are still going to back at it anytime soon. That's pretty influential to have the prices drop because of their suspension though but I think that this is just a temporary price drop since Tesla didn't sold their bitcoins.
Elon Musk is a business guy and he will use every means necessary to make profits and I don't believe that they will make a move like this which they know will negatively affect the price of Bitcoin and don't sell before that stunt was pulled even if they never said they did. What is most important to me is that regardless of what happened to the price, we will definitely see a re-bounce of the price.
1031  Economy / Economics / Re: The Reason Bitcoin Investment will be preferred more than Oil on: May 16, 2021, 04:20:09 PM

While oil investments can only be felt by businessmen and everyone can not easily invest in it.

You are still inferring that very few are using it and are goyto be using it and bitcoin will grow more by the facts listed above.

And as to the oil use also the second part of the post is saying electric cars will eventually put the oil usage to limited use at least.
I believe that this is the major thing here. Because most of the cars will be going electric in the coming years and even the electricity for our homes now is more renewable, obviously, the demand for oil will reduce over the coming years and since this will definitely negatively affect the demand you should expect it to also affect investment in it too so it wouldn't be a surprise that Bitcoin will be more attractive for investment than oil.
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Elon musk launches his own coin? on: May 15, 2021, 01:26:46 PM
Elon Musk is a genius programmer and he can launch his project if he discovers more cool things about blockchain. Creating a project takes time to develop with a good team of programmers.
For his project to create value like the current DOGE or SHIBA is really difficult. So I think he could launch his project but DOGE business would be better because he invested in this project before he tweeted about it.
I think it is better he launch his own coin and stop influencing the market prices of Bitcoin and Doge his recent exploit in cryptocurrencies had negatively affected the price of Bitcoin, I am disposed toward his full investing in DOGE only and leave the Bitcoin market this will invariably put to stop all the manipulation of the price as witnessed recently in the market because of highly influencial actions.
I would have pretty much like to see how that will play out so that someday after he launches his own cryptocurrency, some other heavy influencer can come along to say something that could negatively affect the price or its adoption and that will definitely put a stop to the focus on Bitcoin.
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dogecoin Jumps 22% as Elon Musk Hints at Improving Network’s Transaction Efficie on: May 15, 2021, 01:18:36 PM
Haha, it sounds like Elon Musk is a philanthropist, but please think twice, he is a capitalist, not charitarian.
If keep listen to his word, i think you will lose your money sooner or later.

If you yourself is clever then surely you can beat any Musk. I mean use the advantage of the current situation.
I myself made huge profit and all thanks to this cute Musk.
I bought doge at 400 sats and now it’s 1100 sats and i sold it.
Didn’t i make a wise decision? We should always take the advantage if possible.
Yes it might be not good if you think to hold Doge for a long, but again this will vary from users to users.
So it’s better to get a bite when the food is left alone.
Moreover whenever Musk does a tweet regarding DOGE, you should conclude that it’s right time to buy it and sell it in slight up price.
Hope this will help someone who is reading the post.
Good luck to us.
I believe the say it is "Buy the rumor sell the News" so as to at the time you hear or see the tweet, the market is already turning if it is something that will negatively affect the market.

To your other point, I believe too that we can take advantage of every market situation whether going up or coming down but my general concern is when individuals like Musk believe because of their financial status they can manipulate the market the way they want which actually they cant but we must learn how to take advantage of the situation.
1034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto has become the rich man's playground... on: May 15, 2021, 12:45:48 PM
I wonder whether Tesla is still keeping the most of the Bitcoins they bought. I wouldn't be surprised if they sold again more than they announced before. The aim was to manipulate the market in the end. Maybe they sold most of their Bitcoins and they are preparing to buy some more from this level.
It is very obvious now that Elon can't be trusted with the moves he just pulled and I am one of such people who believed too that they must have sold even more than what they said and this was as a result to accumulate more.
I believe it will come to a time when actions from people like Elon would mean less in crypto if they continue trying to manipulate the market because they feel this is a free space.
1035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to debunk the Bitcoin Energy Consumption drama on: May 15, 2021, 12:03:49 PM
If you are on Twitter, tag Elon as he needs to get bombarded.

We know that Elon's narrative on Bitcoin CO2 footprint is weak, at least because Tesla knew all this before buying Bitcoin and before accepting it for car payments.

So imho the fact it's an old narrative taken back up from the dusty vaults it's not of great importance.
Plus, we already know that extrapolations are wrong:

I fully agree with this. Elon Musk is not some sort of child that will choose a candy at a whim and seconds later will just throw the candy away. I mean he is a genius and I don't think a man of his stature will decide on anything without considering all the factors - and with Bitcoin he must have known that some people are questioning the energy involved in mining the coin. And now he is pretending to have some sort of buyer remorse, and yet he is hodling on to the Bitcoin they already have -- and it is because even if he thinks that Bitcoin is bad for the environment he is sure it is good with business and making good profits. In other words, we are witnessing a man who is a hypocrite at the very least. People who in cryptocurrency must stop following this man and must stop the kind of influence he is wearing.

IMO I believe for that part, Elon musk must have taken profits off the Bitcoin he bought because I don't suppose he would be doing this knowing fully well that it will result negatively to Bitcoin price and still hold.
On the other hand, I thought the same thing too, Is it that Elon Musk is saying that an organization like Tesla and himself did not know all the details involved in Bitcoin mining or rumored surrounding Bitcoin in terms of energy consumption for mining before making that decision? IMHO, I believe that Elon did this just to show how much he can manipulate the market to his own advantage since there have been studies that have also shown that Bitcoin mining doesn't really consume what is been claimed.
1036  Economy / Speculation / Re: Btc price drop 12% after Elon musk tweeted Tesla won't accept bitcoin on: May 14, 2021, 06:00:29 AM
That is clear to see that Elon Musk is playing and tricking us using his tweet and influential personality, he convinces a lot of people, and then after a short while, now he is started to run out from the crypto world.

And I'm waiting now for what will be his next tweet after this. It sounds very interesting to know what will be his next plan. Or that he change his mind and say that Tesla started to accept Bitcoin or just accepting Dogecoin only. I'm not going to believe him anymore if that will be going to happen next.
He said before that he would adopt bitcoin, which is why bitcoin prices increase so highly, and now he will say reject it as a payment option? What? I know he is a big influencer and a lot of big investor following his words, but I don't get why he would adopt bitcoin and invest billions of dollars then reject it as a payment option? I'm so confused right now.
Isn't it obvious that the guy is trying to make money off Bitcoin if he hasn't already? I don't understand why he would even make a fool out of himself cos that's what I see. He made the adopting Bitcoin news months back and said he invested billions, now announcing again with an even more ridiculous excuse of Bitcoin energy consumption like a company like Tesla never did their due diligence of Researching on Bitcoin before Investing which to me is a new LOW for a company like Tesla and Elon Musk.

We know in crypto one of the keyword is DYOR. IMO, he must have Invested, Took profits, and decides because he can Crash the price again.
1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Convert tokens to prominent currencies than holding them forever on: May 13, 2021, 09:28:44 AM
A much more effective way is selling off the tokens for stable coins especially when the bear market starts because in the bear market, everything drops in value except stable coins.

Imagine you made from nice profit of $2,000 from a shitcoin from your initial investment of $200. You sell it off right now and get 0.5 ETH. When ETH price drops back to $400 per ETH which is very possible in a bear market. You will be back at $200 for you 0.5 ETH which is no work done.
You are right. I have always believed that stable coins are created for this singular purpose, save your profits. This is the best way to retain your profits from every crypto including Eth and Bitcoin since we understand that the value of stablecoins dont change as other cryptos.
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for the DFINITY airdrop on: May 12, 2021, 09:32:23 AM
I received an email yesterday 19th August that kyc date extended on Coinlist and i should sign up apply for kyc and pay USD 9 for verification. I tried to contact DFINITY telegram group admin confirming this. He asked me to PM . I send him personal message but he didn't reply so far. Seems to be a scam. Why admin can't reply me in group and ask me to send personal message. I am not going to to claim this Airdrop. They collected our datas, now wants our IDs and on the top of it USD 9.

Obviously a scam. The last time I was involved in any type of Admin not wanting to discuss any thing in public chat was with Fedlio exchange and eventually turned out to be a scam exchange and I lost some money there too so I never do any thing with any admin in any group that will not discuss in public chat that's a clear sign of scam and besides, why would i want to pay to KYC for an Airdrop?
1039  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Agriculture on: May 11, 2021, 05:26:19 AM
The only way for you to use Bitcoin for your Agriculture is If you are accepting Bitcoin as a means of payment for your farm produce and your farm in using Bitcoin as well to purchase things for the form, say, seedlings, equipment's etc. Most organizations that are involved in using Bitcoin can only do it in that form, they either accept Bitcoin as payment and might also use it for Purchase from those that accept and sell what they want to buy too.
1040  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shopping time guys. Fill your bags now. on: May 11, 2021, 05:16:42 AM
We are still in a bull market and these are great opportunities to be seized
True that but the problem is I bought into some Coin yesterday morning and was busy through out the day and didn't even see the market till the early hours of today and saw the bog correction which would have been a good point to enter instead of the price I did in the morning, still in profits though and I believe the market will correct back up cos in a wider time range we are still Bullish.
