261  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to know a good bounty on: August 27, 2022, 02:48:28 PM
I heard that some bounties fail to pay participants at the end of work. Considering this senerio, how can one know which bounty is a good to participate in?
There still are very good bounty in here but it becomes difficult more when your account is still a Newbie so something to consider is working your account to some level where you can be considered for a Signature campaign which I prefer to participate in than others.

Secondly, I like to work with some managers even though this does not mean it is a 100% guarantee that all their bounties will pay out but at least they too must have done due diligence on vetting the project and you should do too.

Also, working on bounty projects that have been escrowed and more so, if they would be paying in stablecoin/BTC makes it even more attractive but all this means as I mentioned before, your account has to be up to a particular level to catch a good signature campaign.
262  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bull Run and Bear Market on: August 27, 2022, 06:59:34 AM
This is a simple question, When this bearish market end and Bull run start.
Thanks
Do you think that someone knows the answer to this question?

https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bitcoin
I'll draw a picture for you. Who bought above the red line price, he must lose money and sell his bitcoin cheaply. When the manipulators redeem these bitcoins, a new pump will begin. I don't think they will let the hamsters get out of their positions with a profit. And to prevent this from happening, the price of bitcoin should not rise above 30-32 thousand dollars.
I am usually not worried about this particular question that keeps being asked time and again but I however will think about where the likely bottom could be looking at the diagram you posted. Is it possible that there is a likely Head and shoulders formation in the daily Bitcoin price chat between 22 July 2021 to 03 May 2022? and if this is correct, where is the likely bottom for the Bitcoin price Shocked
263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc not money on: August 27, 2022, 06:16:41 AM
in my country it is forbidden to consider bitcoin as a currency and I must obey the law, bitcoin can only be used as a digital asset, but bitcoin can also be used as a means of payment such as buying a domain and hosting, I usually use bitcoin to buy a domain and hosting , you are right for now bitcoin is not money but we don't know in the future
Bitcoin is forbidden in many countries ‍as well as allowed in some countries. Just look about one country India which is the potential country especially in crypto currency. Where Crypto curreny is legalized with the stipulation that it can be invested only for commercial purposes. There investment is legal but there is no legal tender. Whatever one says, today or tomorrow it will act like a currency and be used as a world digital currency with the fiat currency.
I really don't think that Bitcoin is forbidden in many countries as you claim, however, using just one country India to justify your claim, just because Bitcoin is not seen as a legal tender does not mean it is not a currency. I believe this is the other aspect of the issue where most get it wrong thinking that Bitcoin has to be proclaimed a legal tender before we can see it as being legal or a currency. However, if OP was referring to money in the physical sense, then no but Bitcoin has and still doing everything fiat money does within the jurisdiction of those that accept it.
264  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Meme coins going to make it to the next bull market? on: August 26, 2022, 02:23:33 PM
At some point most of us have interacted or discussed the pump that Meme coins had over the last bull cycle, even some of us held some and got some profits on the way. The thing is that nowadays there are thousands of meme coins and shitty projects that try to grab a bag, but, even most newbies at the market are aware of it.

That being said, this week I have seen multiple sources covering the uptrend from DOGE and SHIB, I find it interesting how these projects may have a possibility to surge again and claim a space as a 'useful' token for the future projects. What are your thoughts about this?

Source as reference:
https://twitter.com/thetokenist/status/1559870966406283266?s=20&t=IGqgM-6b02VXcq80uTS8UQ
I think for Dogecoin and Shiba Inu, both meme coins will still be around to the next bull market and might even see another price surge during that market season because as we know Elon is kinda fund of hyping Dogecoin and Shaba Inu seems to have been doing good with their own project Development and I think might even still grow more, however many meme coins will definitely die off and some new ones will emerge as we see every day in the crypto space that new meme coins are been put out daily.
265  Economy / Economics / Re: Education on: August 26, 2022, 01:55:05 PM
Having an education would differ from the country where you are from. I'm not sure if it's just for some countries, that there's a bias towards those that have finished degrees and those that didn't. From what I've watched in first-world countries, many successful folks didn't finish college, and yet they're living the best of their lives with their careers. Future-wise, if you think that you'll be having a good life and career by finishing college and getting a degree do it. But if you think that success is already at hand and you can no longer wait to finish your studies, you choose your path just like the successful people like Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates.
You are right, I think people misunderstand the relation between Education and success. You not being formally Educated does not mean you can not be successful in life as we have seen with some people around us. I would tell you that in the part of my Country where I am presently located, most of the Millioniers here are not even formally Educated and some of them to date don't understand English only the local language and you have also mentioned Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates who are dropouts. however, we do agree that some specific specialization needs a formal education up to a certain level for you to be recognized in that profession.
266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: mine a Bitcoin or buy a bitcoin? on: August 26, 2022, 01:38:59 PM
If what you are referring to mining here is cloud mining, which is how I understood it, never mind. Although I have heard of the likes of ViaBTC and NiceHash and Genesis and others and a handful are vouching them, the bottom line has always been that cloud mining is either (1) outright scam or Ponzi or (2) that it is not a good investment or (3) the terms and conditions of these cloud mining companies are obviously unfair which means everything is only advantageous to them and highly disadvantageous to their clients.

So if you want to get into Bitcoin mining by way of cloud mining, you'd better buy Bitcoin and HODL.
Couldn't have agreed more. Cloud mining is one place I wouldn't even advise anyone to invest in cos this is just a 100% risk considering you don't even have control of anything, if I wanted to rally go for mining then it would have been me having my own mining rig that's If I can afford the whole set up, however, I would rather just invest that amount into Buying Bitcoin directly and hodling them for when the time is right to take profits and don't worry about the power in terms of mining.
267  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in new projects? on: August 25, 2022, 01:06:24 PM
It's a play to earn game, website isn't the most attractive but it depends on what the team have to offer anyways, if I were you I'd invest only what I can afford to lose and take profit instantly when price goes up, I don't have the confidence of holding new tokens this days I'm better off holding ETH BNB or BTC.
I will say that I agree with you to some extent and this would naturally be my stand too and also along your listed coins however, I believe that there are new projects we cannot afford not to invest in based on what the projects bring. There was a time people were septical about investing in Bitcoin or even accepting it as a price Sziky on the bitcoins won at the 2011 Starcraft tournament: “I didn’t take them, I asked them to pay me $ 40” – Games So investing in new projects isn't bad but doing your due diligence is required.
268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as my new payment method on: August 25, 2022, 12:54:28 PM
I’ve been a merchant wholesaler for the past four years now. A lot has changed in my business since I introduced Bitcoin as a means of payment. I receive money quickly, I’m able to save up by storing and holding my bitcoins and I can withdraw from my account at my convenience, no limit options. This is far beneficial to me than when I was using banks. Within the first two years Of starting my business I always go to the bank to increase my account limit and set up other necessities. Sometimes it doesn’t get effective immediately I have to wait for 48hrs or the next five working days before it works and still I do have some issues from time to time. This year I decided to start receiving  Bitcoin as a means of payment. All I did was print out my wallet address, pasted it on the wall and my customers who knew about Bitcoin already  was so delighted I introduced Bitcoin as a means of payment and for those who didn’t have an idea,I educated  them on how Bitcoin works and how it can be useful to them.. Everything has been going swiftly,I’m so glad I made this great life changing decision of making Bitcoin a payment method in my business.

Glad to listen that Bitcoins have helped you so much in making your business so smooth.
Only negative factor of Bitcoins is that the price inflation or fluctuation, for which if you ever need to cash out you might end up with some losses.
But yes if you manage to hold the Bitcoins that you get from your payments for at least 4-5 months, then definitely you will get twice the amount that you held earlier.
Nevertheless it would have been great if you could share with us the exact figure that you receive from cryptos on average in a month. It would have been motivated more business dealers to integrate Bitcoins in one of their payment method also.
I agree with the overall idea of accepting Bitcoin for payments but the fear of some with Bitcoin as you have also alluded to is the volatility in price especially in a bear market season like this so this brings me to the point you made about hodlin for some months 4-5 months to be precise, this doesn't necessarily translate to profit if those months are in a bear season unless the merchant is able to hodl till a reverse market price trend.

269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are all Hodlonaut on: August 25, 2022, 11:59:55 AM
Imagine this scenario :

Satoshi Nakamoto sends some of his coins to a trust or a person that needs the help with litigation cost against the fake Satoshi. That will be the ultimate justice for a guy like Craig Wright. The person or persons that he says he is.... spending his coins to prove that he is not Satoshi Nakamoto. (If it was me.... I would even sign that address with a big FU Faketoshi message)  Grin Grin Grin

What people does not understand is this.... every court case or settlement he wins, adds more money to his pockets to file more lawsuits against more people.... "Will you be next?" ....
That would have been seriously hilarious but I don't suppose this will happen, however, reading through the Reddit post, this section also caught my attention,
Quote
And of course, Wright and his conspirators are actively lobby governments, schmoozing heads of state.
"Government, the usual suspects" just my thoughts though, is the Faketoshi another form of them trying to bring Bitcoin down? plus I would have thought this is the simplest case to close in any of the courts since he has not been able to prove that he is Satoshi at any one time which I believe should be a point to prove.

271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Satoshi Nakamoto Reveal his identity ............ ? on: August 21, 2022, 06:24:38 AM
There are huge speculation that if Satoshi Nakamoto reveal his identity and sell his Bitcoin then the Bitcoin market will crash. This is nonsense propaganda by few Bitcoin community leaders.

When Satoshi Nakamoto will reveal his identity, he will get a Nobel Prize in economic science, he may not need to sell his bitcoins at all. Even if Satoshi Nakamoto sell his Bitcoins and donate to charities, it will not affect the Bitcoin value. When he will get a Nobel Prize in Economic Science there after hundreads of millions of investors will buy Bitcoins. The Bitcoin price will hike and go to the moon. That is my prediction.

Satoshi Nakamoto is a benevolent Economic Scientist and he deserve the recognition for his work.
We don't even have to go into too many arguments, this thought of yours isn't happening any time. I don't see Satoshi revealing who S(he) or they are just for the fact that S(he) or they knew what this was going on and decided to stay anonymous from the beginning or do you think that was just by chance? This is a very smart person or group of people.

273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to take profits? on: August 07, 2022, 10:34:29 AM
I am mostly a hodler no matter the market going down or up. But sometimes I get the advice to take some profits.

Example: my investment of 300 euro becomes 500 euro. Is it better to take out my initial investment or only take the profit ? And reinvest that profit ?

How do you guys do this ?

I just feel like i'm missing potential profits by not selling and seeing my potential profits go up and down.
I am mostly a HODLer like you so I don't worry about the profits along the way until I am sure that the market is around another ATH and I will take all the profits in there meaning I must have taken my Initial Investment and some profits too, and don't forget you must have invested in the right profits for this else some projects might not survive the long HODL.
274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to BTC if China attack on Taiwan? on: August 06, 2022, 08:10:01 AM
As Taiwan is a China Territory. As Russia attack on Ukraine it effects the BTC mostly. My question is that how many others coin will affected if above said thing goes straight.
People ask this type of question if the Russian/Ukrain war was going to affect the Bitcoin price or if it was the reason for the Bitcoin price drop but as most have pointed out, Bitcoin price started dropping way back on Nov 11 2021 to be precise and even when the war started Feb 24, 2022, Bitcoin witnessed a bit of price increase before it went down to where the price is now and I think unless we have a full world war, if China and Taiwan should go into it which I hope should not happen, there might be little effect to the Bitcoins price as china has already banned Bitcoin activity in China and the market is also already in a Bear stage anyway.
275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So we've gone from 1 meme coin to one hundred now ? on: August 06, 2022, 07:32:04 AM
Not just shiba, but there's a dozen different others I think.
I tried a couple of them, just to see how they behave in this bear market.
To my surprise one of them was 20% in profit last time I checked ( after about a month ) the other one $50 in profit after one day. Not bad !  Grin
But to be honest I don't think I would put any money on Doge or Shiba... they're already far too high in the rankings.. way... way higher than they deserve. The best gains are made when your meme coin is ranked #800 or somewhere around there
Well, I guess this is the reason people still insist on investing in all these shitcoins because somehow they still make some profits from them and in a few cases made serious profits too but let's not forget that more meme cons investors are not that fortunate in this investments, however, we are all on a different level of risk tolerance.
276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which token should I use for my investment ? on: August 05, 2022, 06:01:23 AM
Hello, Dear

Can anyone tell me which token should I use for my investment which will give me profit in a short time as I am investing for the first time?

Thank You,

The usual mistake newbies make is thinking of making profits in the shortest time of Investment. We keep wondering why people still lose money in Investment, because they refuse to do what is needed first, understanding the system, market, and the project they intend to invest in rather than looking at making profits leading to investing in the wrong projects because people said so. Invest in the top 5 coins (Not stablecoins) and Hodl till the next ATH  Grin
277  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin become a global currency ? on: August 05, 2022, 05:50:45 AM
Can Bitcoin become a global currency ?
It depends on what exactly you mean by the word global. If you mean that it is a global currency used by everyone, then it has been since it was launched, but this cannot in any way cancel out the rest of the classic currencies such as the dollar and the ruble.
This has been asked a thousand times before but the thing is who would do that when we all have our own local currency? Maybe it will be a global currency if a country would accept Bitcoin as a means of payment just like what happened in Venezuela. But the problem is most country leaders wouldn't want that to happen because they think different and they value their own local currency which is widely used by most citizens so it's all in a debate if you want to still ask that question even after a hundred years or so.
Speaking of local currencies, those are not even accepted all over the world except for a few. If you want to go to another region in the world, you will have to change your currency for theirs and Bitcoin falls in that category too for those that understand Bitcoin while others will accept it regardless of your location in the world also like the few Fiats you can spend around the world. Bitcoin might not need global Government approval for it to be labeled as a Global currency. I believe this has been stressed enough and if this is what is needed to confirm Bitcoin to be a currency then it might not be cos I don't see that happening and don't think it's important anyways.
278  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Papa John's store that made the Bitcoin pizzas in 2010 now has a plaque on: August 04, 2022, 02:02:07 PM
Those who do know about this information often criticize Laszlo because he spent so many Bitcoins on only 2 pizzas, although they do not understand that people mined BTC with personal computers and the reward per block was as much as 50 BTC at that time.
And they do not seem to understand that, maybe without Laszlo's action at the time, Bitcoin would have never had its first real world transaction.  And maybe Bitcoin would have never been so huge.  It is thanks to these people that Bitcoin became what it is.

-
Regards,
PrivacyG
Right, and thinking about it now, was it that Papa John's store knew where Bitcoin was headed for them to have accepted it back then as payment or they did do it out of fun? either way, I think it was a nice thing that it happened, and with Bitcoin being what it is today it has become a nice part of Bitcoins history that people can relate to.
279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saylor steps down as Microstrategy CEO on: August 04, 2022, 05:43:18 AM

I wouldn't really say this is a voluntary step down because he basically, owns this company.

But because he is demoted, it does mean he loses votes? Somehow there is the need for inside news for this to be cleared out, the politics inside a company is just hard to govern. If one has great influence among others, he'll get more votes. Phong Le must have swayed people knowing Saylor is like a spokesman of the company as well.

Or on the other hand, it could be that he did voluntarily step down, as you said he basically owns the company but at a time even a Micheal Saylor might want to take that move just to calm the internal temperature of the majority if he believes that the investors have a genuine concern.
280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba lovers lower your expectations on: August 03, 2022, 11:52:02 AM
Well, in the alts market like for the coins like shiba. When it got much pump during the last bull run. Do not expect to have the same pump that it has got before for the next bull run.
We're not Nostradamus but that's what most likely happening for the altcoins that have too much pump but there are some exceptions like Ethereum and BNB. But to have that idea, is you shouldn't really expect a lot.
I agree with you. Ethereum and BNB have been in the system for a while and have proven their worth in comparison to Shiba Inu. I don't believe that Shiba might get that much price surge again for a while unless something or some dope product is introduced to the project and I also think the total supply is still an issue even though there are stories of huge burn but I don't think that has bearly made any impact on the total supply of 1 Quadrillion or a circulating supply of 590 Trillion according to Coingecko.
