561  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Isn’t KYC anti-ethical to Bitcoin? on: February 07, 2022, 10:13:48 AM
When i first heard about bitcoin, one of the selling points then was the pseudo anonymity. But as of recently, it is hard to purchase any crypto without encountering a form of KYC.

I’m just curious of everyone’s thought on this.

What do you mean by "anti-enthical"?Can you elaborate more on this term?
KYC regulations apply to all financial services.Which government regulations are "ethical" and which are "anti-enthical"?The law is what it is and we have to follow the rules, even though some of rules are BS.
KYC is required when you open a bank account or a forex trading account in fiat currency.
We all want the crypto industry to be viewed by the government as a legit and legal industry.
If we want mass crypto adoption and legalization, this is the price we have to pay.
If you are complaining about not being anonymous, then why don't you use you a privacy coin like Monero.

Just my point as well. I know there are a lot of their places as you have also mentioned that we do KYCs and they don't have a problem with does so why is KYC for Bitcoin a problem if we are not trying to continuously make it look illegal. I personally don't have any problem doing KYC plus everyone has their own opinion about this and I believe that is why some people still see it as something they don't want to invest in.
562  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin touched $43k, from $33k in two weeks on: February 07, 2022, 09:54:16 AM
Bitcoin has pumped by 30% in last two weeks as the value of bitcoin was $32917 (lowest on that day) on 24tg January 2022 and it touched $43000 today and this can't be bull trap as its a sure signal that Bitcoin is rallying towards $50k once again.

I thought it's a bull trap but there will not be a leverage of 30% for bulltrap and I have decided to invest back into crypto and infact cashed in once it crossed $42k. What's your take on Bitcoin price?

How can you say that its a bull trap? Bitcoin moved 30% up in 2 weeks but did you remember it dumped 30% in 1 or 2 days only and then it took months for this recovery. I think this is not a bull trap. We have a negative bearish, Nov, Dec and Jan. Now i think after a long three months of bearish price action, bitcoin may stay a month or two in bullish mode.

I believe what the OP said was, "this can't be bull trap" and I believe we are all agreeing to that. I believe the next two daily candles will further give a clear confirmation of this even though the chat already shows some clear resistance broken.

If we close above the blue resistance line that has been a support line since 2020 and makes that a support line again, I believe we could see s good upward rally as long as there is no new FUD  Smiley

Just my view.

563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What high gas fee have cost me on: February 06, 2022, 03:52:20 PM
The high Ethereum gas fees have really made most traders miss out on some important trade they should have taken but couldn't because the fees were too high, it was paying more than or almost the amount of tokens or coins you want to trade and I experience this too, I couldn't trade a particular token because the fee was almost the worth of the token and some I just did because I didn't have a choice. It is what it is with ETH gas fees now and I am trying to stay away from that network as possible. 😠
564  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin may not experience blood bath on: February 06, 2022, 03:04:44 PM
Lol Bitcoin had again another Bloodbath recently when almost everything in market falls down 2 digits , some are even bloody red with huge dump.

Bitcoin falling 14-16%? this must be a blood bathing mate Well that is for me because after showing very tough 2021 position now it is on this situation?

______________________________________________________________________

But don't worry because recovery continues to happen and even make a high after.

I agree with you on that. I believe that Bitcoin falling from its ATH to where the market started recovering from not which is about $33k is about -52% and I believe that was bloody enough but the season is what matters, we might not see long years of the bear market like we experienced back after the 2017 ATH I guess.
565  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto-Currency in Africa on: February 06, 2022, 02:41:19 PM

Africa being a developing continent, have deficiencies in the technological atmosphere, mostly internet and light.

Is there a source for this? This is what people might think about the continent and even though when compared to some other part of the world, it might seem this way but I wouldn't label it as such.

Most of the Communities in Africa have no internet services and light to access the currency or use it for transactions.

While some major interior locations might not have a connection to the main power grid this does not mean they don't have access to electricity. There is hardly a community without Generators for power or solar-powered system now.

So, to what extend can everyone in Africa uses the Crypto-Currency for transaction of goods and services.

Also, how can Crypto-Currency help the indigenous Fiat currencies and grow the African Nations Economy.

If you check back just like 2-3 years ago, you would realize that some African countries are major crypto traders by volume according to data and Why are you even asking about "how can Crypto-Currency help the indigenous Fiat currencies and grow the African Nations Economy." or maybe you can tell us how cryptocurrency has helped any Fiat currency in other Nations.

566  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who creates more impact in bitcoin price the Hodlers or Investors? on: February 06, 2022, 02:17:57 PM
The two main factors of bitcoin market hodlers and the investors sometimes I query myself about how much impact they have made in the price of bitcoin.

Note: The hodlers are early abductors of bitcoin that held their funds till date
The investors are the early abductors that sold and invested into their business then later invested their profits into bitcoin. E.g Michael Saylor or Elon Musk.

I think I can still say for a fact that Elon Musk was never an early adopter of Bitcoin from the beginning however I believe that even if Elon didn't invest in Bitcoin but because of his status, he will surely move the market as we saw with what happened to the market back then. However, I think the real people creating the impact in the market are the real Investors who keep buying and creating scarcity in the market and those traders with the shared power to also move the market prices.
567  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Man who lost 7500 bitcoin in a landfill asks gov't he wants to dig it up on: February 06, 2022, 02:06:55 PM
~
He is willing to give the city of Newport in the UK a cut of the bitcoin at a sum of $70 million so to be able to do this with approval of their local government.
This story has been run all around the globe at this point and has alot of people scratching their heads as to why he would need permission to rummage around a landfill site in garbage. Alot of countries allow those who want to go around their local trash site looking for pop cans for recycling or whatever they want to bring out of it. Since it is just garbage there.
Looks like a publicity stunt and nothing else, he threw the hard drive in 2013 and he was in a comma not knowing the price till this time, giving the authorities a cut of the BTCitcoin if recovered is a good ploy but the authorities knows better that the probability of getting the hard disk after years of dumping is an impossible task.

If he had taken this task when he saw the first rally he might had his luck going his way, but now there is no way he is going to recover that.
I agree and I do not understand why it took him this long to try to recover the Hard drive from that dump, after all, Bitcoin has been showing great profits since the incident. I don't even think this is something he can still find and even if by a miracle he is able to find it which I doubt, can this Drive still be restored for him to be able to access the info?
568  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 🚨#CryptoNews→ on: February 05, 2022, 08:38:30 AM
#LeBronJames is launching a #Bitcoin and crypto education program that will educate kids on #Cryptocurrencies.

What do you guys think?
With cryptocurrency becoming more mainstream now, it is no surprise that we will be seeing more cryptocurrency sectors be it the crypto project itself or crypto exchanges partnering with Celebrities and Sports superstars to move their brands forward and the space has seen quite a few in 2021 the Year of sponsorships
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHOULDN'T THE DEVELOPMENT OF TOKENS BE MORE SUPERVISED ? on: February 05, 2022, 07:14:13 AM
I know where you are coming from, this is the nature of crypto when I first get in back in 2017. But the question is, who are going to supervise the development of projects?

I mean this market is open, everyone can development anything promote it through social media, create a hype and make money. Unfortunately this is the nature of the crypto world we lived it. So the best weapon, or at least what we can do on our part is to really investigate the projects that we are going to invest our hard earn money.
You said it, the space is a Decentralized one and there is no specific person or group assigned that responsibility Sad so this is where we find ourselves. Until there comes a time when the Crypto space will get to that regulatory level, this will continue to happen since it is obvious now how much people make out of creating and hyping a crypto project even without use.
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High ETH withdraw Fees, how to Solve on: February 05, 2022, 06:53:59 AM
I use Binance,  Kucoin etc crypto exchange for Trading, Binance use very often and I use Kucoin very rarely. But my main problem is high eth withdraw fees from Exchange to Personal wallet (MyEtherwallet). Have any crypto exchange with low withdraw fees?
That is a problem with the Ethereum Network and not specifically with the Exchanges. I do believe you should have been familiar with the transaction fees that have been the pain in trading/transferring over the ETH network with all these high gas fees and all. So it doesn't matter which exchange you are on but as long as you are doing that transaction over the ETH network, the fees will still be high.
571  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You Think Bitcoin Save Your Economy on: February 05, 2022, 06:45:30 AM
Bitcoin is not a savior but perhaps more precisely is that BTC has helped the economic growth to be even more increased thanks to investment, and I'm sure not everyone is lucky because of BItcoin.
Right, some people definitely most have panic sold during the pandemic and those couldn't be calcified as been helped or saved by Bitcoin but overall, most investors that have been in the space for a bit will definitely get that help since most aspects of the economy were down and Bitcoin was more like the only source as it was for me personally back then.
572  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin theft and mobile phone on: February 05, 2022, 06:32:25 AM
It's sad that the son killed his father just because of money.

I'm sure the father has all the trust for the son, but his son knowing the father has the bitcoin stored on his phone was probably tempted to steal it. Nowadays, it's hard to trust anyone even your family, so it's better to keep silent about your holding and make sure you don't store in an online wallet if we are speaking of a huge amount of money already.

What disturbed me more here is the Son willing to kill the father just for the money, not the bitcoin stolen by the son.
Well, you got that right. When it comes to money, I believe it is to trust no one, we have heard many stories about couples betraying each other because of money and here we are again, a son killing his own father because he wants to steal his Bitcoins but would it have mattered if the father stored them in a hardware wallet? cos I think the same way the son had access to the phone wallet he might as well be able to have access to that too cos he already knows the father owns that much and would do anything to take them just like he did. it is just a sad story.
573  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever get regulated on: February 04, 2022, 10:12:05 AM
It depends on what you mean by regulation. I believe you are not mistaking it with centralization.
Bitcoin is not centralized but Bitcoin can be regulated.
Currently, many countries are regulating Bitcoin in different ways according to their country’s policies.
They regulate it to enable it to be legal or legitimate in their country. The people that cannot find a way to regulate Bitcoin are the people that is always afraid of what Bitcoin will develop to, so you will see them ban Bitcoin in their country.
I don't think that they cannot find a way because I believe every Government of a country knows what policies to put in place if they really want to regulate Bitcoin but they just don't want Bitcoin around because they want to keep a hold on their citizens financially.
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin you hold for Next Bull Run on: February 04, 2022, 10:03:00 AM
I am still going to continue to add to my Eth, BNB, Matic, and Avex there could be some other Alts that interest me along the line, and might even think of adding a particular meme coin too Grin For some reason, even Tron usually doesn't have much movement I kinda like the coin.
575  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will u feel if d price of 1BTC exceeds $1m by 2030 as its made legal tender on: February 04, 2022, 09:48:24 AM
I am not really particular whether Bitcoin is adopted as a legal tender but rather, it should be accepted legally and be allowed to be spent and accepted by merchants/retailers that want to. Reaching the $1m price point will definitely be an exciting feeling for everyone in the crypto space but for now, I just want to be able to accumulate some more sats.
576  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: People claiming themself satoshi on: February 03, 2022, 08:29:08 AM
There are some people who have claimed themselves as satoshi nakamoto. Craig is one of them. I'm sure all of them are fraud. Just trying to get into the focus, they are nothing but attention seeker. Anyway, can someone give me a complete list of people who have claimed them as satoshi nakamoto?

I don't get the idea for their claim Huh is there a present or position for how becomes Satoshi? what will that add to their profile in real terms? sorry for all my dumb questions but I don't understand why they will want to claim who they are not and for what purpose? If satoshi wanted to be known back then, I don't think (s)he would have stayed anonymous in the first place. All of them are fake Satoshis.
577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I was finally able to purchase an iPhone 13 pro max using my Bitcoin on: February 03, 2022, 08:17:34 AM
You can buy many of Iphone 13 pro max by selling 1 Bitcoin because it is expensive and its worth is equal to 20+ iphone 13 pro max and it is digital way to buy iphone 13 pro max using BTC as a payment asset.
Lol Cheesy it is possible any time to buy I phone and others smartphone with fiat money. here i have to sell my bitcoin to Fiat money. then i have to pay them. But in this case I was able to make a bitcoin payment directly to the shopkeeper. And I paid him 0.029 bitcoin for this phone. Do you understand my post?  Or, made the comment without understanding?
Yeah this sounds great to see this transaction go through and probably the store owner understands that he is in a better position than you in this transaction compared to if the price of Bitcoin was at its ATH which would mean you paying with less BTC Sats as you said but overall, it is nice to know more retailers are willing to accept Bitcoin payment even in a country where Bitcoin is not allowed legally.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will competitors defeat ETH due to ever-increasing gas fees? on: February 02, 2022, 10:40:23 AM
Developers are rolling network upgrades, yet gas fees on ETH remain the same. It's very expensive to perform transactions on the Ethereum blockchain compared to other competing chains. The ETH 2.0 upgrade will alleviate the situation but developers keep delaying the same. People are getting sick and tired of ETH's "stalling" as fees continue to rise like there's no tomorrow. If I'm not mistaken, developers will delay the difficulty bomb again (by December) in order to prolong the PoW blockchain. The longer it takes for fees to decline on ETH, the bigger its competitors will grow.

Do you think competitors will defeat ETH due to ever-increasing gas fees? If not, why? Are constant delays a result of miners' opposition against reducing gas fees on the blockchain? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
This is no longer a question of whether ETH gas fees are affecting the Network but if this is not taken care of by the Developers which also does not seem like they have this under control or are hoping to resolve this anytime soon, it might just cause even the remaining average ETH network users to flee.
Ethereum transaction fees are running sky-high. That's infuriating users and boosting rivals like solana and avalanche
Ethereum May Be Losing Out To Competitors Due To High Gas Fees, Says JPMorgan

It is just a matter of time if this fee issue doesn't get resolved before ever ETh Network Project jump ship.
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Do Not Let Your Community Go Dry on: February 01, 2022, 10:18:50 AM
The crypto space is usually very thrilling when new ideas birth new projects. These projects, with their varying use case utilities come up with strategies that will help to improve the crypto system.

However,  new startups have a challenge especially when there is no activity going on in the community. This can make members the community feel like the community is inactive and would not be able to deliver on its promises.

My name is Eddy and I am a blockchain enthusiast. I have been serving for some 3 years on the crypto space. I have worked with various Defi, Metaverse, GameFi and Nft projects both on telegram and discord and these include but not limited to: Fly, Ariva, DNFT protocol, Two Monkey Juice and Crafting Finance.

I have a team of 14 professionals that will keep the community busy by chatting actively about the project at very affordable fees. I can be reached via my telegram username: @EddywillneverDmFirst.
Being active doesn't change anything, if there is no real use case the users will sell their tokens at the right time either for profit or loss and it seems you want to express about your service offering related to cryptocurrencies not actually trying to help any project though.
Plus working for services like this, people always request payment in stablecoins and not even the cryptocurrency of the project so either way they are happy to participate in his telegram group as long as they get paid regardless of whether the project prospers or not. So you are right with the use-case point.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't punic, just hodl on: February 01, 2022, 08:02:15 AM
Panic  sell only makes the market and things worse, I'm always optimistic that a bad market like this week is normal, I even had one day the market dropped more than 30% and I bought again, after a month it was proven that the market could skyrocket and I got big profit.
You are there, when you panic sell or sell for fear you are among making the market to against the people in the market, market is good base on the people who is demanding for, and when people who is looking or bringing to the market looking for buyers come plenty that means the market will be going offline
I only say one thing, in life you should never make decisions with your emotions on the surface, be upset, afraid, happy, the best decisions are when you have a neutral state of mind with controlled emotions, the reason is simple, when a panic occurs, the first thing that comes to mind is "I don't want to lose my money, even if it is, I will recover a little of my investment even if I lose a percentage", although it is a personal decision, it is not the right thing to do, because When putting money into the investment, you should only extract profit, otherwise it makes no sense to leave the money there. That is why in an investment the person must make sure that he will not need that money that is there, but forget about that money and continue his life, until the price rises and produces profits, that is how I see it.

I agree and I have mentioned this too in other posts too. I believe the main reason most traders reacts to the dip in the market is they feel they shouldn't lose their investment even though they should know that this cannot be lost until sold and that the market can recover but it is just a matter of time but because most might not have the extra funds to continue buying the dip or doing other things, they are most likely to cut loose.
