721  Other / Off-topic / Re: BlueBorne Virus affects all bluetooth devices. Turn your bluetooth off! on: November 25, 2021, 10:38:32 AM
Honestly I dont really know who uses bluetooth everyday, since you can transfer a file using internet . It is a new idea of hacking using bluetooth, I never heard of it. I guess it is easier but as I said only a few people actually use Bluetooth

What day and age are you living in?  Tongue
Bluetooth headsets, bluetooth on smartphones, laptops/pc, android boxes etc.

That's cold Bro  Grin Grin Grin and you are right, I believe most people connect via Bluetooth even more now with most of the devices we have now. Even now that I am making this post, I have my earpods on connected to my PC for music, and let's not mention again all devices already listed by others. I hope this issue has been looked into.

Can this virus affect Bluetooth headphones? I don't think that they have a kind of software to hack.

Even if it can infect headphones, does it have anything to do with cryptocurrencies - unless you keep your BTC in a headset with BlueTooth?

Well, I'd reckon a patch/fix is most likely in the way, so until then, you should simply follow and turn off Bluetooth.

So since this is a 2017 thread, I can tell you that the fix has been known for a long time, although for some older devices that fix has never been released. Therefore, anyone who has a very old device with BT should check if their device is still vulnerable.

That is a valid question but all the same, I believe that since we cannot really confirm how they do their hacking via this means, it is better to be safe.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NO..India is NOT Banning Bitcoin on: November 25, 2021, 10:25:26 AM
The FUD continues.

India is not banning bitcoin as an asset class as many have eluded to. Many news outlets find that this angle is far better for attracting clicks.

India is looking to ban bitcoin as a method of payment. Meaning they are just trying to protect the interests of their future CBDC. People in India will NOT be banned from buying or selling bitcoin. The government has NO interest in banning bitcoin as an asset.

Source: https://blockworks.co/india-crypto-ban-about-payments-not-the-asset-class/

This is a piece of relieving news to hear because when I saw that news flash on my local news channel yesterday or the day before, I was like here we go again. We are getting off of china now we are getting into India's own issue. I believe that if this is what other countries lean towards instead of the blanket ban, then there wouldn't be a negative effect as much and I understand where the India Government is coming from.
723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Do Young Investors Prefer Cryptocurrencies? on: November 22, 2021, 06:06:14 AM
I believe this is because most of them are young and smart. Smart enough to understand the idea behind Bitcoin, smart enough to know how to operate it too. Unlike these older rich men who because they don't understand how Bitcoin works(or how to operate) have lost interest and are always discouraging others.
Besides being smart, they are open-minded about something new that happens around them and they have a big curiosity about that new thing so they will find out what it is.
If they can use their curiosity to search for more about bitcoin and try to invest in bitcoin, they can have a bright future that their friends can not imagine.
But that depends on how they learn about bitcoin because not many of them will have a big enthusiasm about bitcoin and will not think much about investing in bitcoin.
Many of them are thinking about having fun and not prepare their future and if they really do not do that, they will regret it in the future.

I do agree with you there. I believe that young investors are more adventurous and will like to take many forms of risk in investment unlike older people and I believe that this is mainly because of the times we live in. Older people are already accustomed to what they know and will hardly remove from that. Even with the younger generations investing in cryptocurrencies, there are the more daring ones that would even take it further by investing an even huge amount on what most young crypto investors wouldn't. Younger investors are more willing to take the risks involved.
724  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First Bitcoin City on: November 21, 2021, 01:14:22 PM
I agree that this is not just a nice move but another great one from the El Salvadorian President Nayib Bukeleand his Government. They have continued to prove to others that this can be done and particularly even mapping out some of the investment to be completed like the schools and the veterinary hospital. I believe they will get all the support they need to fulfill this move from the institutions that are connected to it.
725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Paraswap airdrop ? on: November 21, 2021, 12:27:12 PM
To be honest the filtering that the paraswap team did wasn't a surprise for me and the founder mounir said it clearly that he wasn't ready to givaway tokens to people who used the platform just for rewards and thats what happened exactly
Really, not everyone that started using Paraswap recently did it for the airdrop. I started using Paraswap recently before the are drop was announced because the coins I wanted to swap were there and someone in the TG group posted their link there. Even though I didn't get any airdrop after the exercise, I did understand why that happen from the publication from the team which I believe was fair too because lots of people used it for the purpose, and some that didn't fall victim to that. I don't think it's wise for the DEX to always announce if such airdrops will be happening so that new people don't clog the system.
726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: caught between dilemma and pleasure on: November 20, 2021, 01:33:16 PM
Don't worry what you do, it will all pay off. The prospect of this project is good, I'm sure the bounty participants of this RPG token are certainly lucky enough. My advice if you are sure then try to hold this token when it is distributed. It seems likely that the price of $22 is only the initial price. In the future, this price will be quite high. Back again to you who need to do research. Trust me they complete the IDO in less than 48 hours. A new achievement for a pretty good future.
Quote
On October 7, Rangers Protocol has just completed its IDO and opened a secondary trading market soon after. Less than 48 hours after launch, the price of Rangers Protocol Gas $RPG is as high as $28, and a record ROI hits a high of 521.67%

It is a common practice for new coins, after the IDO and listing on decentralized exchanges are completed, the initial price increases several times. But not all coins continue to increase in price after that, the price of many begins to adjust. Perhaps the best solution would be to sell half, and leave the second part of the hold.

Yes, that would naturally be the best thing to do, HODL until one day you wake up and some crazy person that was able to have access to some wallets or maybe an insider of the team decides to dump the price like what happened to Beyond Protocol BP and have not been able to recover since then. I also read somewhere on this thread where someone mentioned Sovryn, I believe since SO fell from it ATH it has not been able to keep up to half its ATH since. So I agree with you, this is an initial reaction to price but will certainly adjust, so know what to do in this situation.
727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if governments make Bitcoin centralized? on: November 19, 2021, 06:09:54 PM
I am not so sure that this ever become a real issue.  First off the United States isn't anywhere close to having bitcoin become any sort of currency for its citizens.  With the dollar being the worlds standard, they'd honestly be crazy to jeopardize that in any way.  Secondly by the time that they would enter the market I don't believe they would even be able to purchase that much in order to make it centralized in any way.  Just my 2.
I also agree with you here. With most world Governments still not giving that green light for cryptocurrencies to be traded freely in their countries, I don't think that they are likely possibility that something like this can happen, and with people like Hillary Clinton warning nation-states to pay attention to Cryptocurrency Crypto Has Potential for “Undermining the Role of the Dollar as the Reserve Currency” why would a country like the US even think of that as you said. I know people will continue to think if there is a likely possibility of some moves that some Government can do to control or bring down Bitcoin and other cryptos but I think this can be one of them.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL, HODL, HODL when can one actually sell Bitcoin? on: November 19, 2021, 10:27:45 AM
If you bought Bitcoin from the price of something around $30k and wanted to sell at $60k, you made double already your profit, and that is your profit.
The important thing is you have a targeted goal of profit when you will sell it, because you will never gain profit if you will never sell it at a high price, if you hold 1 Bitcoin it will always be 1 Bitcoin.

So my question is, how much profit do you want to gain?

Because here is the fact, Bitcoin isn't solely the purpose of gaining profit or because an asset, it's a digital currency which good for an alternative as a payment system.
I do understand what you are saying, but I still see both as gaining profit. The sole thing behind it is that, the price per one Bitcoin continues to increase making it more valuable and whether you are selling it for Fiat profits or HODLing it and spending out of it for purchases, it still bores down to profit. I do however understand why some of us might want to HODl for longer because the Pizza guy wouldn't have done what he did if he understood Bitcoin would be what it is today.
729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will MEME coin rule the world? on: November 19, 2021, 10:14:06 AM
We have seen lots of MEME coins launched in these seasons! the question remains without use case will MEME coin rule the world or will it successes bring about more innovative change to the way we raise capital for social causes.

For example, the Mufasa coin savior of the Jungle was built on BSC, plans on starting its meme coin ($MUFA) with the idea of NFT, gaming, and saving the planet with its Token.

Whitepaper: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Px4vKbrtItfuwQMEBpa32VKbD3IUsM79/view?usp=drivesdk
Twitter: https://twitter.com/Kingmufasatoken
telegram: https://t.me/kingmufasaofficial

They are not yet to be launched but can they really be positioned to be a better meme coin than what already exists.

We all know the popular animation Lion King, this coin is birth with King Mufasa in Mind and how he had good intentions for the jungle compared to his Brother who wanted the jungle to destroy it.

Will King Mufasa Token influence change in the world with its proposition of saving the planet?

Sounds like that good storyline we all know but the truth still remains that, over the past years we have seen different meme coins gaining popularity in the market because of one thing, how their early investors have been able to make profits from them but the Devs of meme coins now also understands that it should go beyond just creating a coin but also to bring into the ecosystem some use case hence you see meme coin like Shiba Inu having there own Dex and 2 new tokens, LEASH, and BONE.
I don't think meme coins would rule the crypto space but for some that have what it takes to compete, might just survive more than expected.

730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can SHIB rise to 0.1? on: November 18, 2021, 11:50:41 AM
Thinking Shiba inu will rise to $1 is complete state of dilusion of grandeur, the supply will make it impossible! I have heard so many people expressed this notion and believe they are just been greed and blinded by their greed! As soon as bitcoin runs is I've, many sltcoin including shiba inu would trade less in value compare to value they have now!
The op stated $0.1 not $1 as you mentioned and another point of correction is where you said it is impossible for shiba to reach $1 price, you should know that cryptocurrency market is a volatile market and any coin can skyrocket at any time.

Even so. Yes, people say in the cryptocurrency market, anything can happen. This is why some people keep thinking that SHIB price will reach $1. That is not happening with this current supply of SHIB and even @ $0.1, the market capitalization for Shiba Inu will be $54,915,212,520,212 that would be almost if not bigger than the whole top 10 cryptocurrency market Cap now imagine what it would be if Shiba Inus price is $1? For it to hit $1 there must be a lot of token burns.
731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why businesses should accept Bitcoin payment on: November 18, 2021, 11:32:09 AM
I totally agree with this, accepting Bitcoin in buisnesses today should be one of the biggest things that'll happen in the economy, it saves you so much stress and unnecessary charges that would have been made using FIAT.

I do understand if some businesses want to accept Bitcoin for their services or goods but what I don't understand is why some people now think that Fiat has unnecessary charges associated with it with regards to doing business. Before Bitcoin, Fiat has been the main means for a transaction and still is even now, and don't also forget that Bitcoin too, does have Fees for transactions. I just believe that whatever form is best for anyone/organization is what they should go with even if it's both.
732  Economy / Economics / Re: Introducing a state-issued cryptocurrency on: November 18, 2021, 11:02:35 AM
Union Finance Ministry has take a decision on a state-issued cryptocurrency soon but ban all private cryptocurrencies. The VHP leader had sought a ban on all cryptocurrencies alleging its usage to fund terrorism, drugs and other 'anti national activities'. As all private cryptocurrencies are still not considered as legal tender or coin in India, but the govt may introduce an official digital currency in India.

I think its a good decision by government.. What you guys think about it?
How can that be a good decision? I believe the question that should be put to whichever Government that is still trying to use all these lame excuses to bring cryptocurrencies down is for them to provide prooves of all the illicit transactions they have been associating to Bitcoin and other cryptos. Bitcoin is just barely 11 years while terrorist financing/Drugs financing has been around way longer than that. If you still don't understand why the Government is doing this, then you are not supposed to be here and whatever they issue as a cryptocurrency is not cos it will never fit the characteristics.
733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: correction or start of a bear market? on: November 17, 2021, 05:59:43 PM
I also think that this is a correction. the push from the bear market is faster than the current decline. after all, the hallmark of a correction is that it occurs after a fairly rapid rise of bitcoin. however, I believe that the price will recover. right now the low I see on CMC is $58,515, and at the moment I believe the price will slowly recover to $62k or $63k.

I agree with you and it also looks like we are already on our way back up to that range. Bitcoin price is back to where it was back on the 06 Nov 2021 and it took about 4 days to go from about $60k to $68k+ on the 10 Nov 2021 before we had the correction. Let's just hope that it will be back uptrend for BTC before the holidays come in.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can SHIB rise to 0.1? on: November 17, 2021, 10:40:35 AM
Of course not. That would mean its marketcap would be 30 x higher that bitcoin. What i hope is that people get their stuff together soon and stop buying useless meme coins. We are now looking at the exactly same scenario as 6 months ago. If greed money will keep flowing in to meme tokens, we are gonna see a crash soon.

I agree with you too. I don't see this happening for the SHIB token for now because of the supply and with this current supply, that would mean that SHIBs market Cap. would not just be bigger than Bitcoin but like the whole top 10 crypto market cap  Grin that would be insane. I understand that people have also argued that, ETH supply is infinity and yet the price is this high but you don't compare ETH and meme coins and the people that have invested in most of the meme coins always think this would happen but I don't see that
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Binance Coin (BNB) reach $1K? on: November 17, 2021, 10:18:02 AM
Binance smartchain rocks presently, it's one of the cheapest chains available today so I believe there will be more people jumping into BSC network once ETH gas fee is going Insane once real alt season starts
Even though there are other cryptocurrency networks that are available in the ecosystem now, Binance Smart Chain is undoubtedly the biggest in the system right now and of cause coupled with the Insane gas fees that are being experienced on the Etheruem network for whatever transactions now. This has continually pushed the BSC native coin higher in price and without a doubt, $1k is eminent in the coming months.
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Shiba Inu Coin a better investment than Dogecoin? on: November 16, 2021, 08:02:51 PM
Neither of these projects have a valid use-case. They are meme-coins. Speculative gambling at best.
It's value is not really about it's usefulness it's about how much investors are willing to hold and how much is in circulation. Both coin would definitely survive the next 10years going by the constant hypes these coins gets. Although it's a bit risky investing much on these two coin but if  you could afford the risk buy more that's what I do with my spare or reserved fiat
I couldn't agree with you more. I believe that as for Dogecoin, it has already survived like 8years since its Development and SHIB is just like 2 years now but you can see the support both projects have, and even when the Devs for Dogecoin abandon the project for years it still survived till today. However, I would, like everyone has suggested these are not projects you probably will want to invest a lot of funds in but I believe some of their investors have made quite a bit from them which is the top priority for crypto investors.
737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you pay with crypto??? on: November 16, 2021, 11:50:43 AM
I am interested what do you guys use for payments.

I like Litecoin paying the most (superfast and supercheap) but I am not afraid to pay with Bitcoin.

Doing this little research because I am preparing project
I will appreciate honest answers and comments

Thank you

I don't really think that is something I consider for now. every Bitcoin I have is basically for investment. With the little I know about Bitcoin, I don't see myself spending Bitcoin directly in buying anything I can spend Fiat on buying for now except if spending Bitcoin is the only option and I really cannot do without that thing.
738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with the hype on: November 15, 2021, 01:38:57 PM
We have had several hyped coins and token lately and many have been a victim of hyped projects that ended up crashing in not long after attaining a very little profit margin. Been extremely careful with how we go about our analysis will help save a lot. Just wondering why developers would come up with nice projects only to crash after a short while keeping investors in losses.

For me, it is because some people have believed that cryptocurrency investment is an overnight money-making avenue especially when it comes to most of these meme coins as they have seen some people make serious profits from them, and as you said, some Dev understands that there are still people out there that will continue to invest in these crappy project all in the hope of making a profit. I don't believe that this will end in the space.
739  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Trading on Binance Without KYC via Safepal? on: November 14, 2021, 07:58:24 AM
I don't have a problem using Binance as I have been fully verified from the beginning and it is one of the exchanges that has my local currency pair too and I understand why investors keep talking about KYCs with exchanges even though there are other ways our info have been uploaded to the internet.
740  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to see Bitcoin legal in your country? on: November 14, 2021, 07:51:04 AM
Bitcoin is still legal in many countries and illegal in many countries. Do you want, Bitcoin to be legal in your country?
Do you feel the need to legalize Bitcoin in your country?
Are your ideas about Bitcoin positive or negative?
What is your personal opinion about this?
What do you think, if bitcoin is legalized in your country, the country will be improved or will be damaged?
I definitely want Bitcoin to be legal in my country, and I feel the need to make Bitcoin legal in my country.
Well, for me I believe that it would be better if Bitcoin is made legal in my country thought now we can still trade it on different exchanges and do fiat withdrawals via P2P, it would be less restful and more profitable if it were not banned by the Government. We could say we don't care if it is made legal or not since we can find some sie to spend Bitcoin online but we understand this does not cut across everything we want in our daily lives so I'd prefer it be legal.
