1061  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government Controls Crypto? on: May 05, 2021, 06:11:42 AM
The government may not be able to control each crypto, one by one because the cryptocurrency itself is very volatile and also depends really on the market.
however, yes you are right that government can shut down the exchanges of crypto that are being in their country's regulation. Every country has different rules and regulations related to crypto. And a company needs certain permission and also law to build a company itself including cryptocurrency exchanges. And when the exchanges are not suitable or conformed to the country's regulations, the exchanges will be banned or blocked.
This also happens in my country where every exchange must be registered in one of the institution in our country to enable to run in Indonesia

I agree that the government has the power to close the exchanges registered in the country, even if it can do extreme things. Like banned
cryptocurrency, but that doesn't mean the government can really control crypto. Because I have a friend where he lives in a country that
rejects crypto and punishes its citizens who are caught using crypto. But still my friend can still buy crypto and own it, so it is impossible
for the government to fully control crypto.
True. We understand that the Government have the power for all that but like you mentioned, that is not the actual control, just because they are able to ban the transactions of crypto in their country does not mean they directly control it cos like you said, likewise in my country the Government has place a ban on cryptocurrency trading but many people are still in crypto trading via which even other means they can. So you see, they are not in direct control.
1062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What goes up must come down on: May 05, 2021, 06:04:21 AM
Sometimes there are some execptions, what goes up, doesn't goes down as much as it goes up.
As we know, bitcoin price is keep going up from year to year. Indeed there are some down movements, but it is not much.
My conclusion is, what goes up may goes down, but not 100%.
Well that it true because when you look at most major cryptos, they have never come down to their initial bottom price, that said, during every circle, the price will surely drops form its new highs to some lower level which I believe the OP is referring to and we must learn how to take advantage of the price fluctuation.
1063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is good. It’s hard to persuade parents to invest in it. on: May 05, 2021, 05:56:03 AM
Crypto is not popular in my homeland. People in my homeland love to invest stocks and bonds. And real estate is the most popular investment. Only few people invest in crypto. My dad loves to invest in stocks but he seldom has a positive net income from the stock market. It’s the fact that crypto is a better tool to earn money, especially for the Altcoin. Then., I try to persuade my dad to invest in Eth and BNB. They’re worth to invest. Take myself as a good example, I spent the weekly pocket money on my first Eth two years ago and earn more than 10X of money. It seems that Eth is still going up in the future. It’s a good investment during this economic recession period. I tried my very best to persuade my dad to buy Altcoin like Eth and BNB but he thought that crypto was very risky and unreliable at all. Investing in crypto is the best way to earn money in this economic recession. It means that my family loses the chance to become rich since my dad does not invest in crypto.
It’s hard to persuade those middle-aged people to invest in crypto. Do you think so?

It is no surprise there if our parents become difficult to invest in cryptocurrencies and you see them sticking to what they know for years before now. Especially our elderly parent are not likely to change their view on what they already know and are less likely to pick up on new way of things even most especially when it comes to money and Investment. This means we will have to do a lot of work convincing them why it is safe and they should invest and even at that, most will tell you they are comfortable where they are and what they are use to.

1065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin is like planting trees on: May 04, 2021, 09:14:03 AM
The best time is when we high lower lows in 2018 and 2019, which is around $3000'ish.

But if we go on your argument that we are going to hold in the next 10 years then yeah, possible, as you as you have a tough mentality to hold in that span of time. Anyhow, I'm basing on my experience, I have stocks that I hold for more than 10 years so it's doable. The only thing that might sway people though is that crypto is very unstable and risky because of it's volatility.
I totally agree with you and I remember this time as clear and was also trying everything possible then to get as much Bitcoin as I could after seeing what happened with Bitcoin price in 2017/18 however, I believe that Investing in Bitcoin should always be targeted at the bear period for maximum profits but like you said, considering the duration of your HODL plan and your risk ability, Investing can be done any time.
1066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Learn to appreciate the DIP. on: May 04, 2021, 09:06:45 AM
I think its just their emotions toying with them, noobs most especially they always think the market should keep pumping and most time they are the people who fomo and buy altcoins at their all time high then when a correction happens they become agree and start hating crypto, but the truth is that if they waited a little to buy, dips are the best time to buy good altcoins at a cheap price.
That's right, for people who are very familiar with the conditions of the Crypto market, it is clear that they will never panic when there is a correction and even immediately rush to pair their preferred purchase of tokens at a low price point, because a decline is a good opportunity to buy tokens and coins best.
I would say most investors know this but it is your ability to control your emotions that makes the difference in the market amongst different investors. People understands that they should be able to buy more as the price dips but the mentality of I dont want to loss profits and dont know if the market will recover or how soon makes them react that way in a market dip.
1067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why FOMO when a coin is pumping on: May 04, 2021, 08:51:54 AM
I always wonder why a lot of people fomo to buy a coin or token after the price has pumped. In this present bull run I've seen a lot of people FOMO and buy cryptos at a really high price and they quickly dump when they witness drawdowns.
Isn't that just hustling backwards?? Its almost like they are trying to loose money on purpose.
So i wonder why they FOMO to buy in the first place
It is because up on till now, no one can really predict the market because if they do, they would have invested before the price starts to pump and also because, investors would believe that the price could continue upward and FOMO in when it might actually be that it is about to come down since most investors dont really invest for the long hodl but for the quick gains, this will surely happen.
1068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you store your seed? on: May 04, 2021, 08:40:58 AM
For now I basically do this two ways like what you just explained here,
Basically i have both soft and hard copies on my seeds that serves as a back up copies if anything gone wrong, better to have back up rather than be sorry in the end. To make sure it's safe, I put it in a safe place that only I will know that secret place and I also put copies on my email with secured password of course like zip compression with password as extended protection.

I have my seed written down in two different paper and have both of them stored in different locations that I still can easily access and I also have then saved in multiple external drive which I keep one with me and the other to a trusted family but I never have to save any online whether in email or cloud.
1069  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Africa still leading in BTC trading despite government policies on: May 04, 2021, 08:20:34 AM
Despite various rules put in place by some African countries to discourage their citizens from trading cryptocurrencies, they are still thriving.
A statement released by "documenting bitcoin", reveals that Africa is leading the world in peer-to-peer bitcoin trading volume growth this year so far.
Giving the unfair condition of the market in Africa especially Nigeria where the government has banned financial institutions from engaging in the buying or selling of crypto, this comes as a surprise.
This shouldn't be. The youths of the country are vibrant people and the Government has failed in their own obligation to create employment to this thriving population and here is Cryptocurrency where you can be your own Boss and make your own money with the limitation being only YOU. If you have the will to learn and make the right investment you can gain that financial freedom and the youths know this Hence the mass adoption in replacement for the lack of employment even the employed now too are engaged because it is clear what comes with Bitcoin Investment.
1070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What goes up must come down on: May 03, 2021, 08:44:07 PM
There is too much leverage and too much potential profits in crypto space today which makes me feel like I'm reliving the 2017/2018 era once again, forget the big institutions investing money on crypto, those who bought at 4000$ per BTC are already millionaires/billionaires, you can't expect them not to take profit, be prepared
I know in this cryptocurrency market there must be some people that dont understand that, as soon as the market gets to a high price level, some investors are definitely preparing to take profits hence you see a sudden crash in price after a big run up in price of some cryptocurrencies. This is something that should be constantly anticipated by investors so that you dont get held up.
1071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Cardano overthrow Ethereum? on: May 03, 2021, 08:37:32 PM
Back in 2017 when I first invested in ADA Cardano and afterward decided to do some research on the project, what I read about ADA wasn't nice, people thought it was some scam project and it is not going to do well, I couldn't wait to sell off my bag then, here we are now and Cardano is been compared not only with Ethereum but even thinking of a possible overthrow.I understand how the eth gas fees has caused all this issue and I also believe that is been checked and gas fees are actually reduced now. I believe Cardano is a good project but I really dont see it flipping Eth not in the nearest future though.
1072  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? on: May 03, 2021, 08:28:42 PM
Many people are talking about Bitcoin hitting $1 million USD in the future. Crypto enthusiasts are very optimistic, as they believe their dreams will come true with a Bitcoin halving taking place every 4 years. If Bitcoin hits such price levels, many early adopters will become millionaires. It could be tempting to either sell all of your Bitcoin or "hodl" it for the long term.

What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? Will you sell all of your Bitcoin for cash? Or will you go long in the hopes of Bitcoin reaching higher prices on the market? Will you donate your profits to a charity? Just curious to know. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
As for me though, I will definitely sell some part of my Bitcoin after all, that was why I invested in bitcoin to make money and this is been achieved by this remarkable price of $1m  Cool certainly taking some profits and continue to hodl some for a long period because you must have some sort of taking profits while you invest and not plane to hodl forever.
1073  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? on: May 03, 2021, 08:16:40 PM
While to me both of them are good assets to invest in, for now i will rather go with bitcoin simple because, I stand a better chance of increasing my profits from Investment or ROI much quicker and higher than I would get from Gold under the same period of time however this doesn't take away the fact that Gold will still have a part of the investment in a future time.

1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB price on: May 02, 2021, 04:23:47 PM
Everything is possible in cryptocurrency. I wouldn't be surprised if the BNB coin crosses $1000. If BNB coin of $30 could be $450, it could be $1000. And the way the price of BNB coin is rising, we may not have to wait too long.
True, any thing and every thing is Possible in Cryptocurrency market. I remember not too long ago I bought BNB when it was trading around $30-$40 and now I see BNB coin trading for above $600. There is still room for growth and BNB could reach that $1k price with BSC been adopted by many more projects
1076  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to still make a good return from Bitcoin? on: May 02, 2021, 04:16:10 PM
There is a chance to have a good outcome or profit to this currency but the problem is until when you can survive the market volatility there are people just a drop of the Bitcoin they immediately sell their funds also there are people who just only hold to the market because they can not escape the entry point they are already losing it just holds or nothing to get profit.
Actually, many of them quitted when suffering frustrations and disappointment. These people overly thinking that having a Bitcoin investment is easy money, well, they seems wrong. That could be the possible end when we don't accept defeat and losses. Because if we still trust Bitcoin despite the losses and frustration we've got, I think the positivity will remain.

It's better if we might not get attach too much in the bitcoin letting your job just for the bitcoin there is no assurance that all the time we are going to the uptrend.
Maybe not. If you are just working for a small salary rate and spending all day working, I believe leaving it for Bitcoin is a good idea. Maybe we could find another job.
I agree with you here because I have discovered that there are some Bounties that pays more than the monthly salary of some jobs, I would leave those jobs in a heart beat and focus on Bounty hunting and investment in bitcoin and hodl some a while.
1077  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government ban on crypto on: May 02, 2021, 04:09:17 PM
I don't think countries will still consider banning Bitcoin from now on. Because it seems like they've started adopting the opinion which is making regulations for cryptocurrencies. Many countries have already made a regulation and started imposing a tax on the cryptocurrency earnings.
Some of them, but some greedy Government that still dont understand and dont want to understand cryptocurrencies will still go ahead and place Ban on crypto  trading because they dont have full control on it and cannot monitor crypto. other than this, i dont see a reason why they should ban it.
1078  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin not yet at $100k, why? on: May 02, 2021, 04:04:33 PM
Even the best prediction might not always come true like you have seen, they are just projections by people like you and me and some time it might not come accurate as predicted but for Bitcoin to have come above $60k, I believe that we might actually see the $100k price hopefully before 4th Quarter.
1079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB to $1k? on: May 01, 2021, 11:35:43 AM
Yes mate binance coin has capability to reach at 1K$. As you know that Binance exchange is one of the biggest exchange which means it can grow more in future. I think in 4-5years binance will reach at 7-10K$. You can see it's growth in this month its price was only 250$ in March. Now its price is 620$. So you can imagine how much it can grow in 4-5 years.
That is visible. I too believe that Binance coin BNB can make the $1k price before the end of the year but thinking of hitting $7-$10k within the next 4-5 years I believe is a little stretch. The exchange has been one of the biggest and has been attracting some number of new projects listing and also have a lot of great futures too but I believe it will take a bit longer for especially $10k price.
1080  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bad advices regarding Bitcoin on: May 01, 2021, 11:23:47 AM
Using centralized exchanges for storing your Bitcoin, especially you using it as your personal wallet, for long-term hodling.
Aside from using centralized exchanges, using also custodial wallets for holding your Bitcoin, which for me it is very bad advice at all, even there are some advantage of using it, overall, bad for me.
True. I made that mistake once when I was still just getting into crypto. Had some Coins I had some coins in an exchange and left them there for more than a year and didn't even check until after a year or so, logged back into my exchange and the coins where gone, saw the transaction and every thing and I know it wasn't me that did it.
