1081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sold my first Bitcoin and am happy on: April 30, 2021, 03:10:20 AM
That was a good move there after a long time hodling that investment and I believe it is the right thing to do anyways. We should always consider taking some profits after some time just for the satisfaction of our investment. I wish I was able to hold my bitcoin from back in 2017 but there was much to do back then with funds.
1082  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing only for the rich? Think again on: April 29, 2021, 02:54:36 AM
If your mind still think investing only for the rich you will never get chance for investing any coin in cryptocurrency, I begin last five years ago and nothing I have, I try step by step and looking which one have good chance for getting money without investing like joining many airdrop project and bounty campaign, later I got more and use half for trading and investing.
Same thing here. I believe investment is not a matter of huge capital but it is more of a determination to continue with the small capital you have and keep it moving. I know many rich people in my community today who's story has been about how the started their investment with very little capital but what was most important was the will and the determination to keep going and no difference with Bitcoin or cryptocurrency in general.
Invest the little you have on a good researched project and follow through.
1083  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Portfolio allocation on: April 29, 2021, 02:43:39 AM
Being new to cypto i'm not sure how my coin allocation should look. My current portfolio allocation is 50% BTC, 35% LTC, 15% ETH does this sound ok?
I believe this are good and for you to have invested in this coins means you must have done some homework to decide which coins to invest on and that is what you need to keep doing, invest on crypto projects based on what you have understand about them and knowing fully well that you have made the right choice for yourself cos some of us will tell you to invest in what they too like.
1084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The problem is that it could take again many years to recover on: April 29, 2021, 02:38:20 AM
It's only a problem if you are an impatient person who wants to make a lot of money at a short timeframe. Think about it, if it takes long to recover then you will have more time to accumulate more bitcoin so when the time that it recovered, you will have a bigger profit because you hodl large amount of bitcoin over the course of the recovery of the bitcoin prices.
That true but most of us will not see this, Only if we understands that what ever the market situation for bitcoin is, we can take advantage of it then we wouldn't worry so much about some certain thing that are inevitable anyways. This corrections will always happen as we have noticed and from what every one is saying, we are here for the profits so learn how to make profits however the market turns and less worry about how long time it will take for recovery.
1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you in panic whenever there is a big drop in price? on: April 28, 2021, 07:02:03 AM
Definitely, people would feel some type of way and I know I do feel mostly like, "I would have been able to exist and buy some back at the dip"  Cheesy but still understands that, this could be a correction with regards to what I understand with the market situation at that time. Once you are able to confirm that we are not in a total bear market then it is all about how i missed some more gains.
1086  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how Bitcoin will deal with lost tokens? on: April 28, 2021, 06:53:26 AM
What happens to all the coins in lost wallets in the Bitcoin system? If there are only a finite number of coins, won't they become increasingly scarce as people lose them over time?
I dont believe any thing could be done about it. Those are already lost as the way the system is designed, once you dont have access by way of whatever form you login then they are lost and I believe investors are more careful now with safety of login details however those will just contribute to reducing the actual number of active circulating supply of Bitcoin which is kinda good but in a sad way because those where peoples funds.  Cry
1087  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: George Residence becomes first hotel to accept Bitcoin in Nigeria on: April 28, 2021, 06:41:49 AM
This is another good news along with some other mostly online shops that have been said to Accept Bitcoin as a means of payment.
With the engagement in Bitcoin trading by the Nigeria people I believe sooner or later, the government might have to have a rethink of that policy. From this Post All this 10 online stores claims they accept Bitcoin as payment in Nigeria too and if this is the case, the adoption is on its way regardless

1088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the significance of taking profit on: April 27, 2021, 05:04:08 AM
We all want to gain huge with our coins but some of us forget to take profit because of greed to reach an all time high. Well there's nothing wrong to have high hopes especially if you're holding the best coin out there, however investors taking profit at times are more wiser than those waiting for ath.

We dont know whats next and a bullish market is not permanent, a correction can occur unexpectedly so before it happen, secure your profit. Dont be greedy even you already set a target price on when to sell, remember, regrets are always in the end.
I totally agree with and and I have learnt my mistakes in the past and wont allow greed to get the best of my investments. As the market progresses, I have different level of taking profits and in what percentages too. This way, if there happens to be a sudden price correction in the market I would not regret it much because I most have taken some good level of my profits.
1089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I die can someone achieve my btc. on: April 27, 2021, 04:55:23 AM
It's easy, from now on you can give any information to access your wallet account to your wife. You don't need to feel suspicious or anything to your own wife regarding the bitcoin balance you have, because only by giving you all the access you want, then if you die first your wife can continue. This case will be different if you have to share it with your child or siblings, but if it is your wife then there is nothing to worry about.

Your wife should be your partner in anything you do, unless you have trust issue with your wife that's the problem where you need to find someone who you really trust.

Simply give them all the instrustions about your assets, from your wallet and to how to access everything. In case you died unexpectedly your bitcoin asset are safe.

They can achieve and claimed  all those money that you are keeping inside your crypto invesment.
I agree with you a 100% right there. Your wife should be your PARTNER, so I dont understand why the fuss or even though I do understand how some wife's can be something else  Grin Grin Grin Anyways, I believe it depends on how you have been living with your wife or the kind of relationship y'all have so when she ask you that kind of question, that will determine what her intention is and might offend you or not, But again, I still believe it is a valid question that needs to be treated so that your family do not miss out on what you have worked hard to keep.
1090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sell in May and Go Away. What do you think? on: April 27, 2021, 04:42:55 AM
I dont think I will allow any form of prediction to influence what my decision is about Hodling my Bitcoin. I understands that there are major price corrections in cryptocurrency market and my intention for my Bitcoin investment has been a long term one regardless of what the price is looking like in the immediate few months wouldn't matter because any thing/news can influence the price of Bitcoin for that month which might not truly represent what bitcoin is. I have a target and am willing to hodl till my target is met.
1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Ethereum going to Die? on: April 26, 2021, 03:59:26 AM
As of today, the gas fees of ETH is getting lower and lower, so it is not going to die.

We might be able to see a major comeback of ETH as the king of Altcoins
You know it is funny how or when ever something is not working as expected with any coin/token or the market the next question would be that the project is dyeing or going to die. Ethereum network might have had their issues with the gas fees and that might have lead to some projects moving to other chains or network but this dont mean it is going to die. The market was having some correction and people where screaming the Bears are here  Grin and now the market has rebound.

I believe the issue with the gas fees is gradually coming low and will eventually stabilize and I believe we would forget when people thought Ethereum was going to die.
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All of a sudden they want to join crypto. on: April 26, 2021, 03:44:54 AM
Hahahaha I have been getting quite alot of engagement lately... and pretty sure I'm not the only one  it's crazy seeing dm's  from doctors, lawyers, engineers, astronauts & Olympians.  Parents wanted me to be any of the above and now they're in my dm's trying to learn about crypto and how I make 6 figures from holding/staking altcoins like $BET $LINK $ ADA. Hmmmmmmmmm life.
Yeah, I the for the most of them, it is the believe that this kind of profits could be made from just simply hodling some certain type of cryptocurrencies and boom there is profit and besides lets not forget that this interest has become more after the last 2017 bull market.

I still remember back then before the Bull market in 2017 when I introduced crypto to a colleague that didn't want to invest and was telling me he doesn't have that kind of patience, guess what? he is in crypto today after seeing what eventually happened with the 2017 bull market.
Nobody wants to miss out in what could be, so all they need is invest in some coins that will HODL for a while and take profits.
1093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Learn to laugh even if Bitcoin is crashing on: April 26, 2021, 03:07:07 AM
It’s their turn to laugh at us HODLers after many months of laughing at them. But most importantly, learn to laugh at yourself. It relieves stress. Cool
I am somehow happy to have this correction because I can take advantage the price to buy more. My sister will also invest $1k in bitcoin to not missed the ride again.

Hold, forget and continue to live without worries because as long as you believe in btc, even it takes years you wont get tired to wait.  Wink
I totally agree with you and I just posted similar thing in a different thread a while ago. I believe with Bitcoin, it is a matter of your Believe and not that you are in it for the quick profits. Now the market has bounced back to above $52k and the World is no longer Ending as was thought by some  Grin and its OK to ride Bitcoin again. Corrections will always happen in the market but when you understand why you invested, then no worries but to keep hodling.
1094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's nice to be back again on Bitcoin @50,000$ on: April 26, 2021, 02:53:50 AM
Hello all!

I want to share my cool experience about holding Bitcoin.

I become busy last year and decided to totally disconnected on crypto market or news to focus on my studies and extra job to earn despite pandemic last December 2021 when Bitcoin is on the early Bullish trend. It's really good to see now that my Bitcoin was already X2 the initial money that I earn on signature campaign here. I never though that Bitcoin price will go this far and I decided to take some profit although the current price is at correction.

Really happy to choose holding rather than convert it fiat by the time I decided to leave crypto.
That was a good decision indeed. Most that believe in Bitcoin and have been around the market for a while would understand that, the bull market has not started yet as at that time and though even when you dont know when that will happen, HODLing assets like Bitcoin for a long time is never a loss, you can only double your profit only if you have patience with the market fluctuations.
1095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB will remain valuable for a long time on: April 25, 2021, 07:01:10 PM
even the rumors say that bnb will beat ETH, i don't know but due to very high fee issues some eth users switch to bsc because it is cheaper.
And I also believe that the price of BNB will survive and even tend to rise in the long term.
You have probably missed seeing the fees right now. Yes, it was an issue before about Ethereum because of the high fees but this time, it's no longer the same
Check the gas fees and see that it had become cheaper this time.
Yes the fees for the Ethereum network transactions are though coming lower but still not comparable with the BSC transactions fees which is way less. I made some Ethereum transaction earlier today that cost me about $5 though I believe that was probably because it was weekend and I will continue to look at this within the week and another thing is, if not for the high Fees, most of those projects wouldn't have moved to Binance smart chain so the network fees have really affected Ethereum and I know BNB will probably continue to provide good services too cos they wouldn't want to be in Ethereums position.
1096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the significance of taking profit on: April 25, 2021, 04:13:13 PM
People are just too greedy, they always want more and more price surge to fill their greed taste which is impossible, if you think because we have many rich whales investing big on crypto means bear market isn't happening every again you have been fooled
I agree with you. Investors are becoming more greedy they sometimes forget that if it is not in your account as Fiat currency,it is not yours yet. Even if held as stable coin is still preferably to save the lost but we want to ride the wave all the way to the top that we don't even know yet.
This cannot be stressed enough, investors must have target when you are investing, there must be an exit plan and how you wish to be taking profits on your way up the market so that should there be a sudden drop in price which we have already witnessed in the past weeks, you would have been save cos you have already taken some profits along the way.
1097  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If I die can someone achieve my btc. on: April 25, 2021, 04:00:42 PM
I went to market with my wife to buy things for our new born baby, after my wife selected baby things that Worth thousands and I paid with my btc,the transaction was very easy and faster. When  we returned home ,she asked if you die can I achieved your btc or continued with your account? Because it's very easy and faster in trading and transaction.
Valid question asked in the wrong way. To me, if my wife asked me some certain question I might not be angry at it because we know each other and I will definitely understand why she is asking the question even if it might seems to have come out wrongly so I might not take offense to it besides, I truly will want my wife to have access to my Bitcoin for my children when death actually happens because it will even though we don't like to talk about death much.
So even if I might not give her the passwords or info to my cryptocurrencies immediately, I would definitely want to have them in a place they can access with info on how to go about it cos I wouldn't want my cryptocurrencies to be lost when I am gone.

1099  Economy / Economics / Re: About currency risk on: January 26, 2018, 03:52:22 PM
"Security is a main aim for all of us.

Security for our families, and also for our wealth.

I timed this yesterday — I spend on average 30 seconds every waking hour checking before I cross a road, or waiting to cross a road at a junction — do I spend 30 seconds every hour of my waking life thinking about currency risk? Probably not. And maybe I should.

We take great care to be safe crossing the road; also choosing travel; choosing leisure plans; choosing food — do we spend as much time every day choosing how to manage our currency?

There are a lot of risks in real life — let’s not make currency risk one of them.

Being secure makes you feel comfortable, and just have one less thing in busy lives to think about. Everything around modern life is geared to make our lives easier, everything is a click to add to your shopping basket or a promotion code to make you buy again. Even your bank probably send you a promotion code for insurance or extra services with them?

Globcoin want to make our currency choices more secure, and also easier to manage, on the safest platform — Ethereum. Let a team of currency experts manage your currency risk.

Risk factor is applicable and expected thing where ever the huge profits plays.
It can be compromise with market understanding so that the risk can be overcome through the same.
Learning more about market movement and act according to it, Anyway there will be loses sometimes but Recovery matters
1100  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Segwit is a 51% attack on Bitcoin on: December 17, 2017, 08:13:10 PM

Enter SegWit.  What we can do is remove the signatures from the blockchain.  This way we can change who actually sent the bitcoin if we want to...and get away with it easier than if the signatures were a part of the real blockchain.  This will make stealing bitcoin from zombie wallets easier.  Sally could send 100 bitcoins to Bob then later say that it was actually Billy who sent the 100 coins to Bob.  And if Billy forgot the password to his wallet, he would never know.  The perfect crime.

Segwit is the process of increasing block size. So its not possible to rearrange or remove the digital signature.
Blockchain is the technology which is connected and match only with digital signature of each blocks. In simple it like a book where it has page number to connect each other. It doesn't make sense if you rearrange or remove any page.
We can avoid invalid transaction in the block. Blockchain has its own character we can't write a new process apart from segwit.
