881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB will remain valuable for a long time on: July 13, 2021, 05:50:04 AM
Only while CZ is ready to affect the market. Or while binance is here. Without CZ bnb is useless
Without Satoshi, there would have been no Bitcoin and without Vitalik there would have been no Ethereum, so what's your point? or maybe you are saying if CZ somehow sizes to exist, BNB is dead? Is BTC dead without Satoshi or may ETH too will be useless without Vitalik? Of cause all the cryptocurrencies were developed by someone and that someone will have to continue to push its development and marketing to attract more investors and CZ happens to know exactly what he is doing with the BSc and BNB being the native coin of the chain and he has offered to investors what they want, mostly with any network, low fees and fast transactions which is working for him as it was for other networks until investors started complaining about high transaction fees/time.
882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many scammers have you funded by putting your money in? on: July 13, 2021, 05:34:19 AM
I didn't really lose money to any ICO back then because I believe I invested in very few of them and I was always lucky about the one I invested in but I did lose money to one project called Traw/XTraw back then when the Dev was looking for support to move the project forward and a couple of us following the project then volunteered to help with the money s/he was looking for and after a while, the Dev just left with the money without continuing with the project and also lost money to an exchange too, Fedlio, that turned out to be a Scam exchange.
883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will stable coins take control of Bitcoin as crypto adoption in the future? on: July 12, 2021, 08:46:10 PM
A stablecoin is a cryptocurrency that is backed, added, or backed by an underlying asset. low volatility with stablecoins being the main benefit to continue to attract both individual and institutional interest. Exchange rate stability is useful for both holders and those trying to integrate Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies into the wider financial system.
I don't see that happening because I believe the main purpose people invest in cryptocurrencies is because they want to make a profit and Bitcoin has proven and other Alts have proven this to be so over the years, Stablecoins, as we know them, are mainly to save loss in investment when the market dips and people will not naturally invest in stablecoins over Bitcoin except for the fact already stated and if this is the case, Investors will continue to invest more in the volatile coins for the profits instead of investing in stablecoins that is more STABLE, so stablecoins taking control of Bitcoin is a no for me.
884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never sell your Bitcoin? on: July 12, 2021, 08:07:30 PM
Most times is good to take profits while in profit, it really feels bad seeing your investment getting so much profit and you didn't take those profit and after a while price falls back below  your entry making you loose those profits, so most times it's better to sell when in profit and buy back later when prices dips. Talking about task not all countries impose task on crypto gains so i think it depends on your location, people in countries which task are imposed on crypto can actually save thier profits in usdt.
You are so correct. I too don't get it sometimes when I see investors talking about Don't sell your Bitcoin, What was my purpose of investing? what happens If I might not have more funds to buy and I could have been able to double my bag by just simply selling at a higher price and buying back when the price dips like in the situation we are now? I believe that Investors should also understand that you can take some profits and make yourself feel the good of what you invested in while still trying to double your HODLings by trading wisely and yes you are right about the capital gains in crypto. We don't experience such here in my country.
885  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some words of encouragement during this market crash on: July 12, 2021, 07:58:11 PM
In my experience participating in this electronic market for many years now, I see that if you are a long-term investor and want to win in this market, you should calm down and wait, you must become Don't be emotional and don't be too controlled by the ups and downs of the BTC market, the price will surely go down, and how many times the price of BTC drops deeper and reaches the highest peak, you must have faith in the coins you buy keep long term.
I agree with you and by now for all the old-timers in the system, I would say it is really a no-brainer what people should be doing in times like this with regards to the price dips. As you said, if you have been in the market for quite some years this must have been a familiar occurrence and we know that Bitcoin prices always recover and even get to a new ATH anytime this kind of correction happens and I believe this will hopefully go that way too.
886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is someone worried about the recent decline of BTC? on: July 10, 2021, 06:04:35 AM
Bitcoin is a long-term investment, so don't worry too much about the price of bitcoin in the short term.
There is nothing to worry about the decline of btc. If you hold and don't panic sell.Bitcoin will recover and holders will have the desired profit range.
True that and I believe that people that complain most about Bitcoin price dropping are those that are mostly looking at the short term gains. If you don't enter the market at the right time and wants to invest in Bitcoin, you most definitely have to think long term investment since most people bought in while the market was already almost at the top and now have to wait but if you look at the general trend of Bitcoin from way back, you will realise that Bitcoin is basically bullish. After every correction no matter how long it takes to correct, it does see another new ATH and I believe this too will be the same.
887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria To Launch Digital Currency on: July 09, 2021, 09:14:32 AM
Well. Good luck to the Nigerian government on this initiative, but one thing I will like to let them know or have at the back of their minds is that crypto currencies are decentralized and cant be controlled by any individual or government, if any government is ever going to launch a crypto currency, they should remember to keep this one rule, because any deviation from this means what they created is not a true crypto currency but another centralized system they will use to tie peoples money down and control them just like it is with banks, decentralization is here to stay and any government that is not ready to accept this is not ready to move forward and will definitely be left behind.
Trust me when I say that whatever the Nigerian Government is trying to do with this so-called Digital Currency has nothing to do with Cryptocurrency but maybe they might think it can compete with crypto  Grin and their overall wish is to find a way to continually control the financial means of the people which is not going to work because the Nigerian people are already too smart for that now.
What is the Government going to do? are they going to totally remove the existing fiat money for the digital one or they will be used side by side? The digital currency is going to fail because all Nigerians that are already in the crypto space will never touch and they are the ones that crested the crypto buzz in Nigeria that made the government want to do this.
888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will people who ban Bitcoin in some countries give up Bitcoin? on: July 09, 2021, 08:46:31 AM
Some countries now ban the use of Bitcoin, or banks restrict cryptocurrency transactions, resulting in an increase in the number of long-term Bitcoin holders.
For example, in China, China prohibits the use of Bitcoin. If I were Chinese, I might be more anxious. Some ways can be found to avoid being caught by the Chinese government. I will consider putting it in a cold wallet. In this case, you can only choose to hold for a long time. After all, there is no exchange to trade,
So will anyone give up Bitcoin?
Even if it was to that extent of an outright ban on the entire trading of cryptocurrencies, I believe that there will always be options available to the people which if you are some worth bullish in Cryptocurrency the person might consider relocating to a crypto favourable place where they can sustain and continue trading and for those that are not, yes, HODLing in whatever form might be the best case for them until such a time there are favourable laws to crypto trading, however, I believe this is not the case for now so crypto trading can still go on in China as @Nora Olin has also mentioned but just the ban on mining.
889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria To Launch Digital Currency on: July 08, 2021, 10:05:45 AM
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, has revealed that Nigeria will launch a digital currency. With this, Nigeria tracks other nations which plan or have launched digital currencies. China is expected to roll out the e-yuan, its digital currency, at scale, later in the year. The United States has also started work on e-dollars.

The apex bank boss revealed this plan during the 279th MPR meeting held today in Abuja- “We are committed in the CBN and I can assure everybody that digital currency will come to life even in Nigeria” – Nairametrics reports.

He said, “We have carried out our investigation and we found out that a substantial percentage of our people are getting involved in cryptocurrency which is not the best. Don’t get me wrong, some may be legitimate but most are illegitimate.”

Under cryptocurrency and Bitcoin, Nigeria comes 2nd while on the global side of the economy, Nigeria comes 27th. We are still conducting our investigation and we will make our data available.

What's the way forward for Nigerians? Is this good news for them after the ban of trading crypto with banks
Information link: https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/top-news/463912-nigeria-will-soon-create-digital-currency-cbn.html

Which investigation did they carry out? is there any data to support that? the same publication everyone has already seen online showing that Nigerians are very well engaged in cryptocurrency trading is the same thing they know, bunch of Idiots.

What proof did they have for his claim of his statement that "most are illegitimate"? These people believe that is the only reason they can use to attack the trade of cryptocurrencies by Nigerians. Billions of Dollars have been lotted by past administrations, was any of them by cryptocurrency? and more Billions are still been looted today by the same government that doesn't accept crypto so it couldn't have been done by crypto.

Whether they like, let them create whatever they want, digital whatever, it will still be the same as the Fiat Naira, and as long as people can still trade their cryptocurrencies one way or the other, crypto will still be the Game.

890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk accidentally created a new cryptocurrency. WTF? on: July 08, 2021, 09:48:00 AM
I think this is not an attempt "to influence the crypto market", but some tricky person just created this token to sell it during hype. Elon Musk zero relationship to this Floki token.

This is a great example of how greedy people can be and how easily they can be tricked and controlled. This is so simple. Take what ever Elon says, create a token with same name and voila, you are locked and loaded for scam sale.
You are totally right and took the words right out of my mouth  Grin Since people are so now attached to whatever Elon musk tweets and this happened, then the result is what you see executed by the quick smart ones and it is really disappointing that people actually go for it even though I understand that we are all trying to make some profits but isn't this obvious that this is just another shitcoin?
891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding 5 years a just a imagination on: July 08, 2021, 09:39:05 AM

we keep the coins at least 5 years , but its too long imagination.  you can proof it. 2018 early NEM coin was top 6 Marketcap now 56. so keeping its useless. we have to updated everytime and get the action the correct time and exit.

Now i think bear market is going on , so holding for 4,5 years just a imagination. specially i have to say that TOP 5 coins , we must keep  most probebly they will surpass the All time high again.

what all your perspectives?

That id the thing. It doesn't necessarily mean that just because people suggest to HODL means you should hold on to every and any coin/token. Most of the top coins/tokens we knew from back in 2017/18 are not the ones in the top 10/20 now so what happens if someone was still holding on to those and they couldn't recover from that bear market as expected? I believe that I will only continue to HODL on Bitcoin and Ethereum for longer periods really while for other coins/token I can buy back when the next circle starts if I want to invest in any. HODLing is not for every coin/token.
892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth buying other cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin? on: July 07, 2021, 09:19:32 AM
Yes of cause. When I started cryptocurrency trading I actually started trading more Altcoins than Bitcoin but the only thing was we first needed to buy Bitcoin to now buy the Altcoins because it wasn't like now that we have even Fiat buy options. Altcoins are good to buy too but you must know which ones so that you don't get hung up.
893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will never be gone on: July 07, 2021, 08:51:23 AM
Despite the doubts, negative thoughts bitcoin has overcome and existed for more than 10 years. there is no reason why bitcoin will stop. bitcoin will always be here with us as long as we still use and develop it.
I agree with you. Sometimes people forget that it is the community support for Bitcoin that keeps Bitcoin moving. Even more obvious now as we have more and more sectors getting into Bitcoin Investment and continue to support it because most have come to realize that this entity, Bitcoin is here to stay and will continue to grow hence the adoption.
894  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market is recovering, what steps are you taking? on: July 06, 2021, 10:10:32 AM
Over the past weeks the market was dipping everyday that if you bought the week before, you was already at lost by the next week. This frustrating market cause may Investors to stop buying and waiting for the buttom. I just opened my binance app and noticed market is recovering, and I just wanted them know what the community at large is doing but I'll see the individual response just to pass time while we wait for full market recovery.

what are the decisions you're making now, will you wait for this new market development not to be a trap before investing again or you'll risked it and buy more coins?

I dont have free money left on my pocket, so i just staking my entire coins and doing nothing recently, if i have some free cash i would buy some dip of altcoin on spot and have some scalping by shorting bitcoin incase the price dump back.

if you don't have free money, then my advice don't force to buy cryptocurrency, because I always suggest my friends to invest in cryptocurrency using free money and not main money, therefore never invest in cryptocurrency with main money, because when the market hasn't recover and you need money, then of course you will definitely do a panic sell and it will make you lose your money.
Well, that is kinda true about which of your funds to invest in cryptocurrency with but on the other hand, you can still invest with your min money if you have the will to. I have made some investment like that and I know whatever happens I was going to ride out the storm. So it also depends on your determination for your investment because that might be the only chance you have to get in at that rate.
895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is Elon Musk's goal with Dogecoin? on: July 06, 2021, 07:56:35 AM
Elon is like helping everyone by introducing them to the crypto world and whether you like it or not it's working and people are buying dogecoin. You can also visit my site for more information.
And who are the everyone? you mean the naive ones that don't understand that following Elon in this escapade will leave them burned. Until these people, you are talking about finally understand that Elon will always do what is best for him, and whatever that is, including manipulating the market to his own gains people will lose money investing blindly because Elon musk said what.
896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s time is now on: July 06, 2021, 07:33:42 AM
Time has shown which coin will be proven as a true crypto currency and it turned out to be BitCoin, not ShitCoin   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
As a capped asset and store of value, Bitcoin is a very promising store of value for everyone.  Smiley

More and more people will buy it and exchange ShitCoins to BitCoins.  Cheesy

Definitely not shitcoins because people that invest in all those shitcoins do so because sometimes you can make some profits from them quickly too but for the real cryptocurrency investors, Bitcoin will always be the go-to crypto investment along with other Altcoins though. Bitcoin has been seen over the years why investing in it is not a waste and that will continue into the future.
897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin Mining Cause Global Warming? on: July 05, 2021, 11:03:08 AM
If you say bitcoin mining causes global warming, I don't agree, because what I know is that global warming has been happening for a long time even before bitcoin existed, why is it always bitcoin that is always the problem, while global warming is caused by gold mining, trains that cause air pollution , why is it never a problem, why is bitcoin always the target???

I guess what OP is trying to say is that it contributes to global warming,,, which of course at some point it does, but then the problem here is people are attacking Bitcoin as a single entity, saying it is like the size of a small country when it comes to electrical consumption.

But people want to ignore that it is providing security for a trustless and decentralized form of money, that is the bigger issue they need to be convinced of.

Even when we talk about Bitcoins electricity consumption, Even in China, I believed that Bitcoin miners most have been using some other form of clean energy too other than just coal-generated energy. Why would Hydropower plants go on sale in China amid mining crackdown and bitcoin slump This just prove that, all those talk about bitcoin consuming too much energy generated from coal is just nonsense, no one ever talked about this part until now that the Hydro plants are closing off too after the crackdown.
Everything is part of Global warming and not just bitcoin.

898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I kept receiving strange TRC10 tokens in my Trust Wallet, should i be worried? on: July 05, 2021, 10:35:36 AM
Hey guys, for the past 4 days now I have been receiving strange TRC10 tokens in a Trust Wallet where I kept my Tron-based USDT and TRX, about 5 of them now. Is it something I should be worried about? Please I need a response if I need to transfer out my funds and create a new wallet to store them.

It's normal to a wallet with own blockchain like TRX, ETH, Waves, EOS and many blockchain project. It's easy to create new token smart contract there and usually they are doing airdrop to all wallet that contains the native token of that particular blockchain. There is nothing to worry about this airdrops, Just don't put your paraphrase on scam phishing app.
You are right, I have received tons of such tokens in my wave wallet since 2017 and back then I use to think someday they will have some monetary value to them  Grin but I guess not because most of them are still in the with no value. I don't think there is anything to worry about OP as long as your login details are safe as many have also mentioned.
899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we live without btc? on: July 05, 2021, 10:28:22 AM
I can leave with out football, but I find it exciting and I watch it, I can live without so many things I like now and so many things that makes complex Life, simple, in fact we but only need nature to survive, amongst the basic of them are water, food and oxygen.
So even if I will still be late alive, without Bitcoin, I find it of inestimable need to me, changing times has caught up with the universe in present, and Bitcoin is what has come with it, I think it's not quarter way into it's changes of things we found difficult before it came, am excited any time I think about it.
True that. Many of the things we believe we need now are because they are now available to us. There was a time when some of our communities never had electricity even when it was no longer a thing in other places and today I believe most of us that are now used to having electricity for our daily activities might think we cannot do without it.
Did we think of Bitcoin in this manner before we knew what Bitcoin was? I guess not and we lived then. Even now that we know Bitcoin, we can still choose to live without it cos we have seen some posts here where people have chased out and left crypto.
900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The right time is now! on: July 04, 2021, 11:07:57 AM
Cryptocurrency is like marriage,  there is nothing like right man or woman.  At the end,  you have to be the right person for you.  I think there is nothing like right time to buy cheap,  the low you see might still be lower.  It is therefore better to have strategy than chasing the cheaper price.
Grin I believe so too. Have always been of the opinion that any time you bought some good Crypto is the right time so to me it is mostly about what project I am Investing in and whats the reason for investing in that project, long term or short term also helps me to decide what I want to invest on. If the funds are there when the price drops, better but I would naturally invest any time I have the funds to regardless of the price.
