821  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Elon Interested in Dogecoin? on: August 05, 2021, 03:55:13 AM
As, we know that Btc & ETH are the top two Crypto in the market but I am confused why Elon interested in Dogecoin?
I saw Dogecoin having a huge price hike when Elon tweeted, The real fight is between fiat & crypto. After considering it, I support the latter. Musk has previously compared bitcoin to other coins and has frequently tweeted about cryptocurrencies, causing bitcoin and dogecoin to fluctuate in value. This is what causes Dogecoin to go higher, it's just that we are waiting on which Altcoin Elon will provide support. I don't know for sure the real reason why support Dogecoin.
elon promoting dogecoin is not good even if it is a cryptocurrency it makes Bitcoin look bad because instead of promoting a legitimate currency like Bitcoin he choose to pick a meme coin which has now branded Bitcoin as a joke.
Elon musk promoting Dogecoin cannot make Bitcoin look bad ever  Grin the only thing was Elon must tweeting negatively about Bitcoin, that was what was also contributing to the price dump of Bitcoin at the time but not that he promoted Dogecoin over Bitcoin. Bitcoin is a force on its own tweets from Elon must and people like him can only shift the market a bit but not affect Bitcoin negatively in the long term.
822  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost all my crypto gains this not fair! on: August 05, 2021, 03:47:28 AM
Don't be too greedy in crypto trading. We should always take profit in time. If not, we have to regret.
You must do some research before investing. Don't be panic. If you trade with patience, maybe your loss can be compensated.
All the right points you have mentioned. Maybe some of us still don't understand how the market works even from past market history. As long as you have patience and do not sell during a market dip, you are good. Your assets might lose valuation but if you are able to HODl and the market recovers anytime, you back In profits and some investors take too much risk by investing in shitcoins. People should do so research on projects before investing. I believe we can minimize our loss in the market if we do the right thing.
823  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: correct trading signals on: August 05, 2021, 03:39:44 AM
I have seen many self acclaim signal services or group  lying outrightly to crypto community and their client! Firstly, you need to know that anyobody that have a signal would rather use it for himself first! So, paid signal service is nothing but money grab. I think their interest is in the money you have to pay for the subscription of their services. If you are having problems with graph and technical analydis, you could master fundermental skills. Measuring the metrics that make up good coin and using such standard to measure good coin may be very profitable if you get it right!
This is just common sense and yet very few people use it, someone that was able to tell when the market was going to give profits would use those signals to become rich themselves, the only exception to this are the few traders out there that could make money in the markets and that currently do not have the money to do so, the rest are just scammers or people that believe they can trade the markets but that in fact cannot do it.

Sadly, a lot of these signal groups even those paid ones are only enriching themselves.
The OP should have tried the free ones and see for himself.
But the best is not to join this kind of group and just do your own assessment.
It will take time and patience, but once you acquired those tricks, it will be forever yours.
Because different project, different approach. And you really need to keep up with their updates.
But if you will rely with signal groups, you will end up losing money because the truth is, they really don't care about their followers, but only their pockets.
I don't like those groups that give signals whether you have to pay or they are free, however out of the two without a doubt the worst are the ones in which you need to pay, at least those that give you free signals do not charge you for the privilege of losing money for you, but the ones in which you need to pay are way worse since you need to give them money for the privilege of losing money on your behalf, and that is simply terrible, after all any newbie can lose their money in the markets and they can do it for free but now they have to pay for it, which is a complete disgrace if you ask me.
I agree with you and don't think that is fair. It is obvious that all these groups cannot get these trade signals right all the time and even after you join by paying there might still be some time when their trade signals will go wrong ether because of some TAS error or some fundamental news that can move the market, so as you mentioned, let it be that someone is not paying to loss their money.
824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in cryptocurrencies. on: August 05, 2021, 03:34:18 AM
Some say cryptocurrency is a low risk investment but high return and also does this digital currency have a fundamental value so that it is feasible for investment?
What do you think ?
I kinda want to go with that saying too in a way. As long as it was not put as cryptocurrency is a "NO RISK" investment, I can agree with the low-risk seasons being that, Investors can always minimize their risk on investment in cryptocurrencies. Most times people invest in outright shitcoins because they hope to make big gains even when they know that is really risky and they say it too that they are taking the risk. But I believe that we can minimize that RISk by just investing in good projects at the right time doing all due diligence and this is not to say it is NO RISK but minimizing your risk hence can be seen as low risk.
825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive income on: August 04, 2021, 06:28:09 AM
Staking sucks, either DeFi staking or normal staking cos it requires lots of funds to earn reasonable money or returns every months, imagine staking 100k worth of stable coin to earn 400+$ per month, lol what If the unexpected happens to the exchange ?
Absolutely right. Apart from the huge funds with little reward at the end, I will only use the Binance Vault in most cases where I don't want to sell off the coins for any reason at that time since it also gives the option of moving the assets anytime you want to, unlike the fixed period stakes. I generally don't like to stake anything in any of the farms or even in exchanges because as we know, anything can happen at any time.
826  Economy / Economics / Re: Is money the root of all evil as the poor to thinks? on: August 04, 2021, 06:18:56 AM
This is generally a misconception. But, well, it depends on how you interpret it. Basically, it presupposes that people are doing everything for money itself. I mean, they are willing to cheat for money, step on someone's toes for money, even kill for money. That's what we see everyday. Wealthy people are shirking tax responsibilities. Government officials, although already rich, are into corruption and plundering the nation's wealth. Law enforcers are accepting bribes. Companies are not paying staff and worker well. On the ground, ordinary people are also doing their own stealing and cheating for money.

But I personally don't think this is all about money itself. It is more about people than money. I mean, yeah, money could make you do whatever you want, but it's one thing to have lots of it and feel empty and another to have just enough and feel genuinely satisfied.
You are absolutely correct with all the points you mentioned, but I also think that it is all about money. Whether you "have lots of it and feel empty and another to have just enough and feel genuinely satisfied" is a different thing altogether. The main problem as you have said is, people will go the nine-yard to do anything for money. Family members, community friends are beginning to see others as failures if they don't have money. When you have everyone is your friend and once it's gone, even your closest will ditch you. The spark for everything is that money, whether you do good or evil with it or you are satisfied with what you have or not is also a different case in IMHO but, money will always be at the beginning of it all.
827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin better than Fiat? on: August 04, 2021, 05:57:58 AM

As with everything else, it depends where and how you want to use it.

Is Bitcoin better than fiat for daily use? Nope and nope. Buy bread and butter with Bitcoin, or make your grandparents do it.

Is Bitcoin better than fiat as a store of value? Definitely yes.

Is Bitcoin better than gold as an investment? Currently, yes. In the future, maybe.

And so on, depending on the use case.
I totally agree with you. the thing still for me which is limiting Bitcoin as the ultimate Currency is just that Daily user case limitation. We are not even close to that at the moment even in well-developed Nations let alone places where the knowledge is very minimal. But for every other thing, I believe that Bitcoin is great with, Store of Value and Fund transfers are best with Bitcoin. So as you said, I too don't believe that it can be wrapped up in one go but can be seen in the bits section where Bitcoin is better than Fiat.
828  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Never sell your Bitcoin? on: August 03, 2021, 05:54:23 AM
you should never sell your Bitcoin, you should hold it for a lifetime.
You are getting it wrong. Just imagine if everyone that has Bitcoin keep it till lifetime, no selling, what do you think will happen to the Bitcoin economy. As far as Bitcoin exist it must be sold out, exchange must take place . Where there is no exchange no market
You are right. I still believe that most Investors take this out of context about not selling Bitcoin. It is not possible or I should say, it makes no sense for you not to sell Bitcoin. This is an investment whether we agree or not and the reason is for you to make profits and you have to take profits at some point otherwise there is no need to invest and keep them forever without selling. I believe the idea is for you not to sell all your Bitcoin because it has that potential to continue to appreciate over time,
so it is a very good investment for us to Hodl for future gains.
829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why complain about the dump when the market warned you???? on: August 03, 2021, 05:46:17 AM
Not everyone is knowledgeable about the market signal or trading signal so dont just conclude like anybody knows about it and not complain about the dump in the market. I am not saying that it is good to complain about it but I am just saying that let them act what they want, we can't control their emotions cause they have lost their money. They are also beginners and will learn more through experience.

that's very precise, i like your main point. on the other hand we all also know that unstable crypto price movements can make some traders or investors suffer losses or vice versa. the most important thing is to invest what you can afford and learn from previous experiences.
Yeah, but even when that is like one of the watchwords in crypto, I don't believe that most of us just happen to have some funds lying around that we believe we can afford to lose in trade and that will be fine. I do get the idea behind it but people will complain any time they lose money which is normal and even when you think the market is going in the right direction, in this case, up, there could be news that makes it change the other way and people see big loses but this too is also confirmed if they do sell their assets instead of Hodling till market reverse.
830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why some are still loosing money in crypto on: August 03, 2021, 05:35:25 AM
People lose money because the same people, like them, find the money somewhere. Nothing comes from nothing. If it has disappeared somewhere, it means that it has arrived somewhere. This is the law of nature, and no one can cancel it.
I don't understand what you mean by this phrase, it's more verbose and unclear, can you describe it in clearer words about losing money, because generally people who have lost money will not easily trust others
Grin I believe that he was basically trying to explain that the losses of some people are gains for others which is practically right. This is part of the market as we know, we can all not make profits and I believe some of us have mentioned this before. However, I do agree that losses even though are unavoidable in the market are mostly due to Fomo and lack of knowledge of the projects being invested in and the market situation by the investor.
831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: am i the only one expecting the market to be worse than this? on: August 02, 2021, 10:33:50 AM
I know in the future there will be another bull run. I also know bitcoin, ethereum, bnb and all the top ranking altcoins will create new ATH. that's why now i hope the market gets worse than this so i can buy cheaper. and the current situation supports my expectations.

i will buy when bitcoin is under 20k. I will also buy when ethereum has fallen below 1k. when bnb goes back to $100 i will buy it too. before that happens I will not buy.

and I will continue to pray for the crypto market to collapse. when that happens I will come to the market and spend my savings to buy
So have your wishes come true? did any of the coins fall to your desired buy price? These are some of the reasons some crypto wannabe investors will never make it in the cryptocurrency market because they are always being unrealistic with themselves. What made you think that all of those coins were going to fall to that level? I guess you weren't ready for the crypto market after all.
832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Idea of Bitcoin As A Religion on: August 02, 2021, 07:56:29 AM

Quote

“They always say in times of tragedy and trauma, people turn to God. That is sort of what happened with me. It’s tough to describe the experience, but basically, the best way I can describe it is I went to Bitcoin.”

Taken from here.

Well, have you thought about this idea that Bitcoin can be like a religion too? With some level of fanaticism, there can be people who are considering the Bitcoin community like a cultish one but then again all form of organization in varying degree has this energy and can even be used as a bonding agent. Now, in my opinion, while this idea can be a big welcome to some, this can also turned off those people who are not inclined to take up religious matters into their lives.

What's your opinion on this matter?
This doesn't make any sense to me and most that have already posted here have mentioned similarly. Just because people like Designer clothes and can afford to buy them does not mean that should be a religion to them and this can be related to any other thing. There are a lot of things people like to do and just because the expression is used, "Religiously engaged in them" does not really mean they take it as a religion.

833  Other / Archival / Re: El Salvadorans are not happy about accepting bitcoin as a means of payment on: August 01, 2021, 09:17:40 AM
This is really terrible news for El Salvador then. 77% is a really huge percentage. El Salvador bought $140m worth Bitcoin with the aim of distributing it among its people to incentivize them for using Bitcoin. But if El Salvadorans aren't willing to do such thing, then all of this effort would be in vain I'm afraid.
So did that 77% of EL Salvadorian collected that part of the $140m worth of Bitcoin that was distributed initially? if so, why are they now protesting if that was not a planned thing hopefully by some opposition? I know that when you don't have other means to take care of your needs and the market is in a Bear trend, Bitcoin becomes a thing they may not like as a means of payment for whatever because it also becomes stressful for the business owners and also the workers. You get paid some amount in BTC as salary or for a service/goods and before you turn around the market is 2% down. People will mostly appreciate this in a Bull trend and I think cryptocurrencies should be more of a complementary form of payment to Fait other than a replacement.
834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Now is the best time to invest in Bitcoin on: August 01, 2021, 09:05:35 AM
Yes it is best time to invest in Bitcoin because many countries accepting Bitcoin. You can invest now for long-term. I recommend buy Bitcoin in parts to make maximum profit.if you invested for long-term you can invest now and hold for 1 to 5 years to take good  profit.
Really, how many countries now are accepting Bitcoin? when you say that, it might come off as there are many countries out there that accept Bitcoin as currency now. It is not a question of whether bitcoin is been accepted by some businesses in different countries but that is not the Government.
I believe that anytime you decided to invest in Bitcoin is a good time even though we understand that, investing when the price is low makes for better profits and hence advised. It all depends on how determined and focused you are on riding the market price waves because that is part of the investment too.
835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paper money vs Digital currency on: August 01, 2021, 08:43:24 AM
Gradually, of course people will be more familiar with bitcoin, bitcoin will show its best side and it is possible that bitcoin can be well accepted in the future because of its increasing popularity so that it can have a positive effect. However, this is like an alternative currency that still has advantages over its characteristics, although it will not replace paper money, but it will accompany or complement paper money in general, which both provide benefits.
I believe that should be the takeaway in all this paper money vs digital money thing. Even though digital money e.g (cryptocurrency) which I believe is in question here might sound great but in all sense, I don't see it overshadowing the paper money even if it is only because of the government's view to it. Great adoption will be there but as you mentioned, it will mostly be as a complementary currency to the existing paper money anywhere.
836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2011 Bitcoin rejected person reaction on 2021 on: July 31, 2021, 07:15:57 AM
Wow, really sad. I missed some chance too back in 2014 when a colleague introduced Bitcoin to me, I would have been able to buy a good amount then but wasn't really interested until 2017. This is a continuous situation for some people just read some posts on this forum and you will see people tell you that when Bitcoin fell back to $30k even below that it was still too expensive that they believe it will still go down and wakes up to see Bitcoin now in $40k+ again and might not be able to buy-in. The mistake he made then shouldn't be made now because Bitcoin is more widely known and popular and those that don't see that still are not meant to be in the cryptocurrency space because as someone has already mentioned, there is no way you shouldn't have some Bitcoin in your portfolio.
837  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Getting paid in Bitcoin vs getting paid in Fiat on: July 31, 2021, 06:54:40 AM
Many people are getting paid in Bitcoin these days, as the cryptocurrency grows in popularity worldwide. A salary in Bitcoin is quite a lot different than Fiat. There's no middleman to go through, so the coins are deposited directly to your account without any ID verification whatsoever. Transactions take from minutes to hours in a completely anonymous manner (sort of). One might say it's easy to avoid taxes when getting paid in Bitcoin than getting paid in Fiat. After all, no one will know you own the coins unless you disclose it (or the government is able to link transactions to your identity). Yet, Bitcoin's highly unstable price makes it a terrible currency for day-to-day payments.

Which type of currency is better for paying employees? Is it Bitcoin or Fiat? Do you think we'll be able to see more jobs paying Bitcoin in the future? Or will Fiat still dominate the jobs industry? Is working for Bitcoin just like working "under the table"? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
This might sound like a good idea from a Bitcoin adoption perspective but I don't really think I would want Bitcoin as a means for salary payment reasons are,

I believe everyone working in which ever country pays tax and there will be no way the Government will now allow some certain organization to start paying in Bitcoin where the people will now invade tax payment, So I believe you still will pay tax on it as long as it is for your salary.

Fiat will normally just go into your account and you can withdraw and spend or even use your debit/credit cards in most if not all of the stores for daily needs but I know for a fact that most of us don't have this Bitcoin access readily in most of our countries, so what next?

You will have to still sell that bitcoin into fiat for your daily shopping which will take some time for the transaction to go through and plus transaction and withdrawal charges. I will still like my Bitcoin to remain as an Investment for now until such a time or place we can really spend it seamlessly without too many delays and charges.

838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will everyone still believe in Elon Musk? on: July 30, 2021, 10:10:34 AM
Actually I don't believe in Elon. But I only use the momentum elon. So when elon talks positively about bitcoin or doge. I immediately bought bitcoin because the elon effect could make the price of the coin go up. But after the price went up I immediately sold it.
Not only you, many people don't believe in Elon. But they know Elon has great influence in the market. Elon Musk's tweets could cause the volatility of a coin. They take advantage of Elon's effect to make a profit for them.
Which should be the decision of a wise investor. Do not let emotions get in your way of making profits. People that understand know this, just because I don't like the man does not mean I shouldn't take advantage of the circumstance his tweet has created.
Some might probably not know that Elon musk made a tweet that is affecting the market negatively but as soon as they notice the market dipping, you get out of your position quick. It is good to follow some people that turned out to be influencers so you can catch up news fast that might affect the market.
839  Economy / Economics / Re: Will the popularity of cryptocurrency continue? on: July 30, 2021, 09:54:03 AM
If governments of all countries accept cryptocurrency in their economic systems, transaction and banking systems then I surely that bitcoin and others cryptocurrencies will be ever lasting popular.

LOL.. this is funny. Why should the governments do that, when they have their own national currencies? For Bitcoin to retain it's popularity, none of this is needed. Right now we have more than 100 million active users and it was achieved without any sort of support from the governments. Even the move from El Salvador came after Bitcoin was able to increase its user base beyond the 100 million mark. What I am saying is that support from the governments would be good, but in no way it is necessary to retain the userbase and acceptability.
I totally agree with you but to me IMHO, if the government gets involved in cryptocurrency, I don't believe it will be that good because as you mentioned, which country does not have their own currency? and do we really think that the Government will be involved in crypto and all regulations will not be put into controlling it? the reason cryptocurrencies are still and becoming even more popular now is because of the profit margin from investments and its decentralized nature. I seriously doubt if that will still be the case with the Governments being involved.
840  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you see yourself quitting after this bullrun? on: July 30, 2021, 09:37:47 AM
"Goldman Sachs banker quits after making millions on cryptocurrency" - That's the headline on one of CNBC article

Quote
~ Aziz McMahon, Goldman’s managing director and head of emerging market sales in London, quit after making millions of pounds from a bet on the digital currency ether, three former employees at the investment bank told CNBC.

~ McMahon is believed to have cashed in at least £10 million ($14 million) worth of cryptocurrency, the sources said.

~ When approached by CNBC, Goldman Sachs confirmed McMahon’s departure but declined to comment any further.

I purposely left out the coins he bought and profited from because it's irrelevant. The guy must be earning big already given his former position but it took investment in cryptocurrency to quit his job.

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.
Sometimes we hear about this Life-Changing Wealth and if for any reason or luck I make that kind of money through cryptocurrency investments, thinking about it now, of cause I would quit my job. I think it is the best thing to do at that point since I can now establish my own and become an employer too and leave that spot for someone else to fill and definitely reinvesting some good amount of that back in crypto.
