702  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you spend your Bitcoin? on: December 01, 2021, 06:58:35 PM
Do you spend your Bitcoins or just hodl?

If you spend
What for and do you miss something that cannot be bought for Bitcoin yet?

If you hodl
For how long and why don't you spend?
Do you have exit strategy or you will spend it after you can buy your desired thing?

It depends on what you are referring to as Spending Bitcoin. Do you mean, spend direct Bitcoin on the purchase or spend out of your Bitcoin by converting to fiat?. Whichever way I believe that both are still spending Bitcoin and many investors including myself most have done one of this. I don't directly spend BTC but do take some profits whenever I am really in need of funds and mostly HODLing the rest.
703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is more real than money in the Bank on: December 01, 2021, 04:30:27 PM
Bitcoin is getting more and more popular day by day and just because of its wide acceptability it got more importance than fiat currency. The market trend is also in the favor of bitcoin. People are more interested to invest in bitcoin rather than fiat currency. I guess in the future it may get a status in local banks as well. Which may lead it to become more popular as compared to the current ERA.

I don't think that Bitcoin is more important than fiat money just because it is been accepted by a number of people. Do you think if there were to be a real analysis of the percentage of the world population that are into cryptocurrency and the ones that are not, Crypto adopters will be more? of cause not but we do understand that Bitcoin adoption is growing into the global population and until commodities are been valued in BTC BTC instead of $ Fiat, which Bitcoin is still valued by, it cannot be concluded that it is more real than money in the Bank.
However, I do understand why this assumption is considerable.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Binance Coin (BNB) reach $1K? on: December 01, 2021, 04:17:56 PM
I must admin that Binance coin is doing really good towards achieving $1k. Since Bitcoin price crashed several weeks ago, BNB already managed to recover price loss. $50 more and ATH will be reached. Seems that it will be done in a couple of weeks.

I even estimate chances of BNB reaching $1k higher than Bitcoin reaching $100k or even reaching $75k. Every day I see how the price of BTC goes up, and then hits the ceiling and falls back, while BNB only grows.

I agree with you. Looking at the daily chart for BNB after the dip and started a recovery from the 27 Sep. daily candle, BNB rose 102% from $327 to $662 by 11 Nov 2021. From where BNBs price is at now at about $648, it will only need about a 54% rise to get to $1000 which I don't see as a problem at all. I also believe this is easier to achieve than BTC reaching say $75k.
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in new projects? on: December 01, 2021, 03:57:30 PM
Hello everyone, my question is: how often do you invest in new and young projects? Aren't you afraid of losing money if the project closes?

I want to invest in a promising project called CheckDot. Their token sale starts this weekend and I think this is a good opportunity to successfully invest money.

Share your thoughts on such an investment. Maybe you have some interesting cases on this matter.

I rarely invest in new projects and that is not to say some new projects don't have the potential. However, I have invested in one or two new projects that have really done well even though they both are just listed in one exchange each however they both have done well. More so, my investment is dependant on what I found interesting about the project and not because if it is a new project so if you believe your project sounds interesting to you, then take the risk cos it's all about risk anyways.
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to avoid all scams? on: November 30, 2021, 07:40:08 PM
Do you think it is possible to completely get rid of scams?

Hello everybody. I think everyone who has ever been involved in cryptocurrency investments is interested in the question of how to protect themselves from scams and loss of money. Recently I learned about the CheckDot project, which creates a platform with which it will be possible to get an assessment of any project in the blockchain world. In theory, this way you can get rid of a lot of scams, but does it help?

What do you think, is it possible to somehow get rid of scams among crypto projects?

I don't think that this is possible, that is to totally get rid of scam projects. Maybe they can reduce them to the minimum but I don't see them being able to totally get rid of them because we have also noticed that, it's not just the projects themselves that have been scammed, exchange too have their own share of the problem.
707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will ETH Fees drop? (ETH v2 etc.) on: November 30, 2021, 07:30:17 PM
Do you guys have any estimate when the ETH Fees are going to drop? It's been so long those fees have been as high as mountains.
Do you see any light in the end of the tunnel?

Hell, EYH fess has really been a pain in the past months and continues to make transactions difficult in the Ethereum network but I really hope that ETH V2 will take care of this problem once launched as it has been said. many transactions have not been able to perform due to these high fees but let's hope that ETH 2.0 will be live so that these fees issues will be gone lastly.
708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can China Ban on Bitcoin have any negative effect on Bitcoin in future? on: November 30, 2021, 06:02:47 PM
I think there are some effect because most miners are located in China and of course the number of people in China and bitcoin users are really high and if China eliminate Bitcoin there could be some effect in terms of price but I don't think it won't last long and everything will be back in no time. The above links was really useful actually.
I guess you must have known that after the last china action on Bitcoin, China actually evicted most of the Bitcoin miners out of China maybe there might still be a few hidden ones out there still operating but most Bitcoin miners are out of China which is better for Bitcoin now cos it seems more like more decentralized mining for Bitcoin now and of cause, even that didn't last for very long before Bitcoins price bounced back.
709  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to accumulate more bitcoin other than buying with FIAT. on: November 30, 2021, 05:54:55 PM
You either:
- mine it
- earn it
- buy it

Since you don't want to trade, you probably don't want to get into mining either then there is only one way other than buying left for it, you earn it from services you provide to other poeple. Of course, that's just a disguised form of exchange also since you can also get paid in $ and then exchange that for bitcoin, but let's count it as a method too.

In the end, bitcoin is money, you're just asking yourself how to get more euros without exchanging $ for it.

How real is Bitcoin Mining by an end user? Like I see it as a waste of time when I see links that offers it.
If you really want to mine Bitcoin, that what you are referring to as Bitcoin mining by those online mining is not it. Bitcoin mining is really expensive with all the equipment that you need to do that, and with regards to the OP, it will really take you some time to accumulate a good amount of Bitcoin if you are not willing to trade Fiat for it cos even with the bounties in here that offer Bitcoin payment, the Rank requirement and allocation are really tight.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are the best ways to invest money? on: November 29, 2021, 09:29:44 AM
To my own knowledge and i will also be glad if i can get some opinions  to me before you ask what, ask why. Why are you investing?
Investing is like a project. All projects have a goal or finished item.
What is your goal? Be specific. Getting rich is not specific. One million saved or $1000.00 a month in dividends is specific.
Your goal should be your realistic. One million is realistic. One billion is not. One thousand in dividends is realistic, $10,000 per month, no.
Define your time horizon. Months, years? The time will help you to stay on target and provides measurable times.
Always take risk into account. What is your risk tolerance?

Whether specifics as you put it is given or not, getting Rich is the bottom line of every investment and I believe that is specific enough. Everyone that invest knows what amount they are investing and knows not to over bloat their expectation. When I go into investment, in any form, my aim is to be able to make a profit out of it, and at what point I decide to take those profits might vary depending on the current personal situation.
711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Governments planning a Crypto Crackdown? on: November 29, 2021, 09:20:33 AM
Recently, many governments have been showing increasing animosity against Cryptos. While the US is preparing to launch a Blockchain surveillance plan, other countries such as Sweeden are showing signs of moving towards a crypto crackdown by criminalising mining.

Should we be worried about this?
I don't think just these two examples qualify as the Government planing a crackdown on cryptocurrencies. For the Swedens Government moving towards criminalizing mining in their country, we have other countries that have made it a booming part of their economy e.g El Salvador. And for the US to do Blockchain surveillance, I will see it as a step in the right direction, and let's not forget that Blockchain technology is no longer only restricted to crypto space, it is been used or intended for other sectors of the economy and the US Government move might just reduce the criminals that exist in the crypto Blockchain space if there is proper surveillance and I think its a positive step.
712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What would you consider living on crypto? on: November 29, 2021, 06:32:58 AM
Was having a discussion with someone getting who is getting into BTC the other day about the 'living on crypto' movement.
Mostly about the people who want to get paid in BTC / crypto and only spend  BTC / crypto staying away from banks.

We went around and around for a while as to where his line was vs. mine. And it does bring up some interesting points. If you are getting paid in BTC and send it to BitPay / Conbase and convert it to their debit card and spend from there are you 'living on crypto'? How about Bitrefill and other places you can get gift cards from BTC / crypto?

Was an interesting discussion as to where we stood. And was just wondering how everyone else thinks.
Gift cards? Debit cards? Get paid in BTC and convert to USD (or whatever) and put into your bank?

-Dave

Quite frankly, I have never considered living on crypto as an option because I believe it is better for me more as an investment rather than spending it directly. You must already understand why the level of the volatility of Bitcoins price. Whatever you spent today as a direct BTC could be twice the price tomorrow even it could also be the other way round but I am of the opinion of not spending BTC directly.
713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you guys think 0.1BTC is enough to "make it"? on: November 29, 2021, 06:22:55 AM
Considering the supply vs global population = 0.003BTC per person to go around.

Then other factors like not all 21 million will be in circulation due to lost wallets/deceased hodlers who never informed anyone where their seed is, and also an increasing global population and future generations who all want in.

Do you think 0.1BTC will be like owning a mansion?
First, of all, I don't think it was meant to go round even if the whole of Bitcoin were to be in circulation without lost wallets. Secondly, what the worth of the same amount of Bitcoin was years back is not what it is now, ask the Pizza Guy. So, 0.1BTC in years to come would probably or even most definitely be worth more than 0.5BTC today looking at BTC price history and as some have already mentioned, BTC is still valued against the USD and considering the value of USD against other currencies around the world, owning 0.1BTC might just be that.
714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: #buythedip is trending all around on: November 28, 2021, 06:56:20 AM
Now the new investors will be on panic and the same will make them go for selling, while the experienced will make use of the opportunity.
Investors should know that focusing on the long term investment strategy will be best, if they are losing, they should not sell, to not just lose, they should focus on the long term and be watching when bitcoin will teach all-time-high again. People that will lose are traders. Investors would be patient and see the price rise again and gain. The investment strategy should be like 'not selling but also buying the dip'.
Yeah, it might be true that some traders will lose but not all traders. I have noticed in many cases where the first sellers when any correction started turned out to be the most profitable ones because they were able to increase their HODlings with the dips but we cannot take away the fact that HODLing is great but most of the time it depends on Individual tolerance.
715  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Exchange or hardware wallet ? on: November 28, 2021, 06:46:19 AM
What are the advantages and disadvantages of these two methods to store your coins?
This shouldn't even be a question. If you are not trading your cryptocurrency assets, and say you have quite some quantity of them, I don't think the Exchange wallets are a better place for you to store your cryptocurrencies be it CEX or DEX. There are many reasons why this shouldn't be your option to save your crypto in an exchange wallet which has been pointed out in the previous post above, so using a hardware wallet or any other wallet you have the KEYS to.
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum and additional gas fees on: November 28, 2021, 06:26:23 AM

The last time i used this blockchain was the first quarter of this year when the transaction fees were not so crazy. Sometimes the transaction fees are slowly increasing to surpass $100. I can buy a bunch of pizza with it. If you're dealing with uniswap and the tx fees can cost you even more than $200 for a single transaction. that's why little shrimp will not able to use this blockchain anymore and i think that you should also retire from using this blockchain and move to the another blockchain.

Ethereum blockchain was only for the whale. You will be a poor guy if you keep forcing yourself to use this blockchain. Think about this and that makes sense to leave this blockchain as soon as possible to avoid the big fees. You have bunch of alternative blockchains available in the market.
I hear what you are saying and I for one have ceased using that chain especially Uniswap for a long untill recently when it turned out that, that was the only option I had for the transaction I wanted to make so, what happens if the tokens/coins that you want to trade at the time are only listed on uniswap? and are also not one of the multi-chain ecosystem projects? that probably means you are stuck with the high fees on Uniswap or just HODL the coins/tokens forever or until such a time IF the project list on any other CEX.
717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How reasonable is it to invest in Bitcoin in the current situation? on: November 26, 2021, 07:14:14 AM
At the end of the year, we do not see much progress in the market. The market is still in a correction mode. Meanwhile, the market has been in the same position for a few days. How reasonable do you think investing in Bitcoin now in this situation?

Personally, I believe anytime you invest in Bitcoin is a good time, and as you have noticed, the price for Bitcoin corrected recently and is more like in a consolidation mode for a couple of days though we are beginning to see and uptrend again, so you see someone that thought that they wanted to wait a bit probably would have missed out on getting in and might buy at a bit higher price and your intention for investment matters too, long term or short term.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the fate of SHIBA Inu, is this the end of the Road? on: November 26, 2021, 07:08:45 AM
I just added a few dollars on the shiba inu and because it's only a small amount so the drop in the price is not very significant affect on my assets, this is normal when coin has pumped the price will drop even to 50%, as long shiba still have high volume trading on major exchange I'm not to worry because I'm more to long term.
Meme coins shouldn't be held for long term, they tend to go down very quickly and also the same about pumps as well, we should always look for the right opportunity to invest in meme tokens and then exit early so as to not become the one holding the bags when the coin falls to zero. Best advice would be to reap the profits as early as possible and then go to the next coin.
I'm sure as long as shiba is still listed on many major exchanges with a fairly high trading volume and ranking in CMC or coingecko is still in the top 50 the value of this coin will not be zero, and moreover I only invest with money that I can afford to lose.
But I agree with you that memecoin can be zero value if we are careless and too greedy to expect big profits without taking into the movement of the main coin or the current market conditions. Hit and run will be safer to reduce the risky in memecoin choice.

I don't think that applies to only meme coins as we have seen some other crypto projects go to zero however, I do also believe that Shaba Inu will still be around for a while even though we are witnessing a downward trend with the market price at the moment which also affects other cryptocurrencies at different times. I strongly believe that the Shiba Inu team is differentiating itself from other meme coins by launching a decentralized exchange called Shibaswap with 2 new tokens, LEASH, and BONE. All this along with its current position amongst other top cryptocurrencies market Cap. kinda show its determination to be around.
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can SHIB rise to 0.1? on: November 26, 2021, 06:56:19 AM
I remember there was a previous post on this Subject and my take to this is, while it might not be impossible for SHIB to get to that price, this means that SHIB will have to burn a lot more tokens from this point on. With the current circulating supply of SHIB in relation to that $0.1 price, SHIB market capitalization will be $ 54,915,170,513,944 and this to me is not foreseeable even though I understand it is doing things differently from other meme coins.
720  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No Ban. Crypto will probably get Regulated in India. on: November 25, 2021, 10:49:58 AM
I don't know why news channels love to spread these kinds of lies and fake news, so far I have not seen any government source where it is written that government will ban any Cryptocurrency, so far I have just read about regulation, even in the meeting with the stakeholders they concluded it's impossible to ban Cryptos I don't know why these news channels are spreading these sort of news.

That is a problem. And like I mentioned in a different related topic here earlier, I saw that NEWS flash on a Business news channel in one of the local news channels in my country but they too never give detailed information about what it is but that, "The Indian Government moves to Ban Crypto" and this is one of the major problems we have because most often, people will just react to the Headline rather than knowing the details of it. So sometimes, the media too are part of the problems.
