1001  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering [INTEREST FREE] Microloans (With and without collateral) on: August 13, 2014, 06:17:22 PM
1 BTC SENT.
*link*
Wasn't aware of this before it was too late  Undecided

I would like a loan because i really need the money
Denied.  Please get out of my thread.

Consider having a self-moderated thread. I constantly delete posts from mine.
1002  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: August 13, 2014, 05:34:58 PM
I only have 18500 coins stellar and 2 full members in bitcointalk.org account as collateral
I know it's not quite as collateral but it proves my seriousness BTC to borrow from you.
....

This should have been brought up BEFORE I denied you. When I already deny, I'm not reconsidering. I'm denying again anyways. 0.09 btc in steller coin collateral won't get 1btc, and I don't hold forum accounts as a valid collateral.
1003  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: August 13, 2014, 05:31:37 PM
Terms were concluded in PM:

Then here are the official terms: I will loan you 1.0 btc for a collateral of 2600 Cloak coin. Repayment is 1.18 btc due on August 31 2014.

  • In the event that 2600 Cloak coin price drops to 130% of btc value (1.3 btc), then I will request back the agreed repayment of 1.18btc for the return of your 2600 cloakcoin. If you cannot pay back the loan yet, then we can discuss other options.
  • In the even[t] that cloak coin drops to 115% value of btc (1.15btc), then I automatically liquidate the collateral to recover my btc.

If you agree to these conditions, then send the 2600 cloak coin to: BwY14GKBmqNZqnTgs9pCXGFMPLiKfuTTvm

Post your btc address you want the 1btc loan to be sent to.

Ok, please send 1 BTC to: 16usgfJHRzQUuSfUf9RMyujMkoUyDDje8r

http://cloak.blockexplorer.cc/address/BwY14GKBmqNZqnTgs9pCXGFMPLiKfuTTvm

Repayment address to send 1.18 btc by the end of agreement date:

Escrow only protects the immediate transaction, but does nothing for chargebacks.

Do NOT deal with newbs or someone with negative trust.

1. The stuck transaction on the blockchain can be seen here: https://blockchain.info/tx/c238d939b330b682abe1c729300636600254c23c67e1eea4e8daa9abc26dd2c5

2. Sorry, I'm new to this. I don't know if I have other funds on the unspent output. How can I tell?

Thanks,
Scott

Sorry to disrupt such great discussion, but I just had to point out that BitcoinGirl - with a female avatar of course - named herself... Scott  LOL

/offtopic. please continue.
1007  Other / Meta / Re: BLOCKING newbs in self-moderated thread on: August 13, 2014, 07:38:10 AM
Well I'm about to delete the post once again, but here it is just for context preservation in this thread. A newb with 2 post:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=701592.msg8325923#msg8325923

I'm loaning out btc pretty open-endedly. Approval for amount and duration will be be on a case-by-case basis. And for the sake of transparency and public verification, I don't take requests in PM's. You must post your request, amount of repayment, and address in this thread.

Newbs with 20 activity or less, don't bother asking.

Stats 08/08/14

Approved: 22/76
Denied: 54/76

Current btc loaned out: 5.572 btc

Hello sir,

Is new member here can request for the loan?.
I know this is unsecure loan for you. For first let me introduce myself : i am a forex trader since 4 years ago and my system winning rate is above 60% each day. I am also active many forex forums. Perhaps someday we can have good relationships.

Regards.

I see your point with that example, but I thought you might want to abuse it to block all newbs from participating in a discussion or something which I wouldn't think was right. People have suggested putting a minimum activity restriction on the loan section which could probably be a good idea.

Yes, minimum activity or post-count filter is exactly what I'm requesting for in a self-moderated thread.
1008  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: August 13, 2014, 07:28:19 AM
I want to apply for a loan at 2 BTC
A refund will be paid for 2 months or sooner because I would prioritize debt payments in advance to you

Denied. Amount is too large and duration is too long for an account with no trust prior to requesting the loan (and don't say a 0.002 btc transaction from a newb with 18 post is considered a meaningful transaction). Also most of your post is in the gambling section.
1009  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary coin color on: August 13, 2014, 07:13:51 AM
Grey, because you can still see the difference, yet the color is subtle enough that it's not in your face.
1010  Other / Meta / Re: BLOCKING newbs in self-moderated thread on: August 13, 2014, 07:08:53 AM
I and others have suggested being able to ban specific users from your self-moderated threads before. I don't think banning an entire Member group is a good idea though. If a newb does post some shit in your thread just delete the post and use the proposed ban feature.

No, I'm serious when I'd like to filter out a whole user group just from certain threads. Here is an example:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=701592.msg8325923#msg8325923

I have a rather large loan thread, one of the two terms is that no newbs under 20 posts request a loan, yet somehow they think they're the exception. You delete or block one, 5 more will come in. Can't really just press the ignore button, because then you can't delete their posts, and they'll keep asking why I'm not answering.
1011  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: August 13, 2014, 05:41:16 AM
Would you loan 1 btc for 2600 CLOAKcoin as collateral? (currently worth approx 2 btc)

Pre-approved. I'll send you a PM to iron out details before full terms are posted public.
1012  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ExchangeBitcoins.info - Coming out Promo! on: August 13, 2014, 04:48:39 AM
Welcome to the forum. But how do we know you're not just another kid-in-basement business? I've seen plenty of these types of "exchanges" come and go. Maybe someone can look up his website info to verify.

I will delete this post if it's a perfectly legit registered website, and exchange proves reputable. Otherwise, this post stays  Grin
1013  Other / Meta / Re: New legendary rank? on: August 13, 2014, 03:34:15 AM
This means that in 2017 people who have registered on here just today have a potential of being "Legendary"? I'm not really a fan of emotes, but I gotta use this one...  Roll Eyes

That's what I'm saying. It only takes about 2 years and 4 months for a brand new account to possibly become "Legendary". Now if you think of the meaning of the word, someone can become a legend after ~2 years? Really??
1014  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: August 13, 2014, 03:02:55 AM
I know i'm already Denied for my previous request for 0.5BTC.

So why are you asking again? I already gave you a clear reason why I can't loan to you anymore, and nothing has changed between yesterday and today. Once I deny, I don't reconsider unless there is an overwhelmingly good reason. For your case, there's no reason for me to loan to you.

i thought you denied me because i am increasing my loan that's why i ask again. and ask for 0.3
But anyway i understand you. i'm just a borrower Smiley

Loan amount was not the only reason. Read the POST again. I'm combining this with your previous one as well.

Yeah just read it.. but that time no one give me loan because they know that i have concurrent loan to you. and when someone bought my giftcards i repay you 3 days early..and now i need another loan, i thought my 2 successful loan with you will help and also by decreasing my loan request will help. But again i respect your decision..

The loan you had with me lasted from July 30 - August 10. During this time, you requested at least 8 different times, and at least 4 of which you actually got. On two separate occasions, you stacked 3 different loans together, amounting to around 0.6 btc total on one occasion.

You prompted me to actually investigate, and now you got caught lying. You obviously still don't understand that it's not just about the loan amount. Mainly, you passed my risk threshold, and also it's your overall actions: stacking multiple loans, requesting increasingly larger amounts very rapidly, and now you lied. Tweaking your terms by requesting a smaller amount just to try to change my decision only makes it worst. This will be the last I'll say about this case, so please don't request anymore loans from me, or try to justify anything.

sorry for posting here again but did you delete my post for answering your accusation that i'm lying.
and just for the record. Yes i stacked 3 different loans after you lend me but i REPAID them all and i also repaid you 3 days early.
and just what i've posted earlier. Don't worry i will never ask any loan from you again Wink
But again i'm just a Borrower a lender always right Smiley

I'm sure you will delete this message again to make your thread clean and for you to look perfect Smiley
1015  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: August 13, 2014, 02:51:00 AM
I could just send you the domain for the site, its really easy. Would take about 5min. I will explain everything right now. All the traffic goes to that domain, the site would be worthless as none of the users would be able to come to the site. You would have to simply create a account on NameCheap.com, then I would just send the domain to your username, you will instantly get it. The only way I can get it back is if you send it back. I need 0.45BTC. Give me one chance. I can explain everything in 5min so you feel comfortable and you make a good profit.

Profit is not the main motivator for me. Even if it was, no amount of profit would matter if I don't actually get it. More importantly you completely ignored the OP, where it states to not request a loan if you have less than 20 posts. I've denied all newbs with less than 20 posts. What makes you think you're an exception? You registered just yesterday and went straight to this lending section, asking for an amount that I don't even give out to all Sr. members. One chance is all it takes to scam someone.

Your request is out in the open, so if anyone other lender is confident with your amount requested and collateral, he can pick up your request. Unfortunately, I'm not that lender.

I understand fully, how should I go about getting more reputation and being trusted if I cant get a loan, should I start off smaller?

Sorry, this isn't a discussion thread. I'm going to combine this post with your previous one. But just as you're on your way out, I'll mention that asking for small reputation loans with high turnover rate, and in increasing amounts, is actually the quickest way to lose trust. Just read a few posts above. You gain rep with normal forum activity and transactions, not by going straight into the lending section begging for btc.
1016  Other / Meta / Re: New legendary rank? on: August 13, 2014, 02:13:08 AM
6 months and 21 days for me to get into the range of Legendary. 1 year and 4 months for guaranteed.

Currently at 588. Countdown starting...
1017  Other / Meta / Re: Activity & new membergroup limits on: August 13, 2014, 02:01:02 AM
Dree12, you and DannyHamilton have wayyyy too much time on your hands.

So this is how you view someone with high technical knowledge? The fact that you're involved in bitcoin, relative to the average person, means you have wayyy too much time on your hands  Wink
1018  Economy / Lending / Re: Offering BTC loans [no collateral] on: August 13, 2014, 01:29:00 AM
I just need $250-$400BTC. I can do collateral with my forum,
Denied. Not interested in holding your forum as collateral. I'd have to figure out the validity of everything you say, then figure how all that works, and finally know how to sell something like this in the event that you run off. I'm not willing to invest this much time to hold a collateral, or verify you. On THIS forum, you're still a newbie.

We are needing about: 0.008753 = $5.00 usd
Denied. A company that is unable to find a way to get $5 worth of btc? Hard to believe. I'm sure you can pay your bills in fiat.

Haploid23 you neither approved or denied my loan request, whats the story?
Seriously dude, use some common sense. When you ask for a loan just to build rep, then I respond with something like "you ruined your chance of ever getting a loan", what does that suggest? Ok here it is... DENIED.
1019  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: August 13, 2014, 01:11:05 AM
Just hit my 400+ post for this month  Grin, with still 5 days to go. All legit posts.

Btw this MoneyGod dude posts some of the most useless garbage, even outside of his usual gambling section. He's been on my ignore list for a while (as well as a handful of other spammers in this sig campaign), but I still see his name popping up everywhere. Someone get him temp banned for a while.
1020  Other / Meta / BLOCKING newbs in self-moderated thread on: August 13, 2014, 12:49:55 AM
The only option that a self-moderated thread has is to delete posts. Can we please have more control if we're the OP? Specifically, an option to only allow users with a certain post-count to post in the thread, or an option to block certain people from posting in the thread.

Yes, I know you can just keep deleting their posts, but they can keep posting it back. Ignore doesn't work either, because in order to delete their post, you'd have to un-ignore, which defeats the purpose of ignoring in the first place. Ignoring/blocking someone does not prevent them from spamming the thread.

Implementing some kind of filter in self-moderated thread would be greatly appreciated!
