1001  Economy / Lending / Re: Locked keys in car, between jobs, need 1 Btc fast, pay 10% interest. on: February 19, 2014, 12:57:44 AM
Taking loans to cover previous unpaid loans is spiral down, and the number-one tool that banks are using today to keep everyone a slave.
Please get out as soon as possible, even if it means a small sacrifice.

oh no no no, i don't need a loan to cover the previous one! i'll be getting paid in plenty of time to pay back the original loan without issue. there's no problem there. i just need a little help covering gas and groceries until that first paycheck.

Multiplying concurrent loans is about as bad. Are you sure you cannot wait for the first one to be repaid before you need the next one?

I sincerly do not beleive you're trying to scam, I'm replying 100% to try and help you, here. I've always beleived loans are not a healthy solution when survival is at stake. Loans are for investments. Not survival. And even then, I'm not sure I'm happy with that.

I, at a point (after going down the spiral too), made the choice to NEVER borrow anything from anyone, suffered from that, but recovered. And sticking to that "way of life", now. That's not easy, but that's possible, and spending only what the society actually thinks you're worth is just... Fair? Grin

i'm no fan of loans or credit in general - i bought my car in cash and don't have any credit cards right now. i intend to keep it that way. i'm just broke, basically, without enough cash on hand to have food and gas to get to and from work until i get the paycheck. once my pay starts to come in though, i won't need any loans. indeed, i'll be able to start saving some again, after paying this back, obviously.

Jesus Arklan what have you gone and done now.  Keys in car. uggg.  I missed this entire thread.   Glad you got your keys out... what happened to the last new job?   Glad to hear your sorted.   And, I guess good luck with this next job.   If you need to convert that btc into paypal let me know, I can do that for ya.  I'll give ya gox rates so you should get a bit extra.

Was working ups, hurt my back, but couldn't prove it happened at work and since I was a seasonal hire, when the season ended, so did the job.

Thanks for the offer. :-D

ouch, ya back problems you have to watch out for.   If you decide you want the deal just drop me a pm.

cheers

i should have taken your offer... i ended up spending almost all of the loaned btc, and i'm not gonna get paid until march 7th... poor planning on my part, and unexpected costs (like those permits i mentioned, uniforms, etc) i figured i'd be starting work sooner, and getting paid like, next week.

don't suppose anyone would be willing to loan me a bit more, same interest rate (10%) paid back on the 7th? say, $125 USD?

i spoke with welsh about this privately - he passed.

assuming you mean the download link in the first post - i tried it, no difference.
1005  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SierraChart feed/bridge reborn - Realtime Bitcoin charting on: February 18, 2014, 06:10:04 AM
so i've just gottne back to my charting pc, and triedthe new exe. on launch it throws "the program can't start because python27.dll is missing from your computer."

i'm assuming i could just install python to fix that, but if i can avoid doing so, i prefer to keep a tidy ship.

Update: starting my new job on Wednesday. Had to buzz about town and get some permits since it's driving work and such.

I get paid bi-weekly, which will mean my first check will be the 7th of March. Once I get that I'll have about half of the amount owed ready to repay, give or take.

Now I just have to get through the next three weeks... Hope I have enough gas... Heh.

There is a bunch of these
cvs.imported files instead in the dir.

Why they aren't recognized then?

That looks like the message DC was just taking about four csv files that are more then five days out of date.

I I go spend the week (before starting my new job, Yay!) with my fiance at her place, away from my computer, and thus sorta ignore this thread all week. Check it now, 200 pages since I last checked in. I knew the Gox news made for an interesting week, but fuck, guys! :-D
1009  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SierraChart feed/bridge reborn - Realtime Bitcoin charting on: February 13, 2014, 06:12:38 PM
How often are the csvs updated? I'm away from my charting / mining rig.
1010  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SierraChart feed/bridge reborn - Realtime Bitcoin charting on: February 09, 2014, 06:33:25 PM
I was wondering what was up. Sigh. Good luck DC. If I could help in anyway I would...
1011  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 08, 2014, 02:20:29 AM
Gox still dropping, 20 usd below stamp...
1012  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 07, 2014, 10:23:41 PM
Am I seeing this right? Gox lower than stamp?

U know what´s about to happen next!

I can honestly say I do not. Not the slightest idea.

1016  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SierraChart feed/bridge reborn - Realtime Bitcoin charting on: February 04, 2014, 06:48:01 PM
right... so, installing ot a custom location is a bad idea... reinstalled to default, everything is fine.
1017  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SierraChart feed/bridge reborn - Realtime Bitcoin charting on: February 02, 2014, 10:25:06 PM
Yea, I'm running it from my d drove instead of c, so I don't have to remember to re-download or save the data when I reinstall windows or such... I'll sorry it later. Not home now.

Thanks.
1018  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SierraChart feed/bridge reborn - Realtime Bitcoin charting on: February 02, 2014, 06:04:03 PM
so it updated the histories fine, but then when it should be converting the csv's to scid's, it error's out with "error 2: d:/sierrachart/data/bitstampusd.csv no csv exists" i'm paraphrasing, i couldn't copy and paste it for some reason, but the slashes WERE those ones. that's wrong isn't it?

any idea what's up? i miss this data feed...

oh, and per your suggestion i'm leaving btce off. just using stamp and gox.
1019  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: SierraChart feed/bridge reborn - Realtime Bitcoin charting on: February 02, 2014, 06:47:01 AM
i just realized i hadn't followed through and updated - i don't see a way to disable the history grab, only the reverse.

i'm running the feed now to see if it will update the history and begin the live stream. it's got a ways to go though.

A common misconception is that gold is better at moving heat than more common metals like copper. Copper's thermal conductivity is about 23% better than gold. And gold is apparently over 450,000% more expensive, so there's that..
True, forgot about that. Didn't realize pure silver is a little higher than copper, and a diamond heat sink would be more expensive than a gold one :-)

"Honey, where is my wedding ring?"

C

Oh oh! Carbon fiber heat sink!
