Iwobi played the role he was assigned to by the coach and that was why he was featured always. He was practically relegated to play as a defender which led to less connectivity with the attack.
Cyberbullying is not strange in football, especially in very passionate countries like Nigeria. He should see this attack as a challenge to improve his game and contribute more to the Super Eagles. I was happy that he was among the players that visited the president, some players would have departed to their clubs in anger.

Comparing both team, everyone knows City are definitely the most likely to win that game, I mean they're one of the toughest squad in the league if not the toughest and they got more better and experienced squad than Chelsea, even a more better manager, well that doesn't mean Pochettino ain't good but I don't think I'll compare him to Pep Guardiola who's won major trophies in several league and even won 3 trophies with City last season, i don't think Chelsea would be able to defeat City, maybe they could share points. |

If you look at their statistics in the last decade, they show a decline, I don't even see them as they used to be when they were victorious, at that time they still had Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and others. I think one of the things that makes them like this is because they are not ready when their mainstay players leave the team one by one, or in the sense that their regeneration process is not going well.
Another problem is the financial problems they are experiencing at the moment, it is very pronounced for their decline. That problem makes them unable to move more freely and that they cannot bring in new, fresher players to help or fill their weaknesses.
Xavi has been a good manager at the Spanish side, even though they've had some shaky situations, they've just found a way to cover up lapses and make necessary coverings to the loopholes. It's very much good that they were able to put in good effort regardless of what they lacked to good team building. They really been affected by injuries and financial crisis and I hope they recover very soon. Nonetheless, Xavi would have still done better than he's already done. Well, his days with the team are technically numbered and he's got some commendations which he definitely deserves. I don't know what to say about his intended replacement but all I'll say is Barcelona as a team has work to be done and I'd love to see the new Barcelona in seasons and games to come. |
