1041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we just invest in any altcoin? on: June 03, 2023, 07:29:57 PM
It's crucial to exercise caution when dealing with alternative cryptocurrencies (alts). While some alts have the potential to generate significant returns, they also carry a substantial risk of wiping out your portfolio. I have personally learned from past mistakes and experienced substantial losses. To mitigate these risks, it is advisable to conduct thorough research on the top altcoins in the market and analyze their charts. From there, make careful and informed selections. I refrain from providing specific financial advice or suggesting particular altcoin names. However, it is essential to stay away from "shitcoins" and avoid succumbing to greed. It's better to earn less with lower risk rather than having high expectations that could lead to losing everything.
1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ukrainian movie mentions Bitcoin! on: June 03, 2023, 07:22:37 PM
I believe the majority of citizens in Ukraine are already familiar with Bitcoin. Therefore, it doesn't make much of a difference whether Bitcoin is mentioned in movies or not. It becomes more significant to incorporate Bitcoin into contexts where it is less known, as this indirectly promotes its adoption. There are already numerous movies and news channels that frequently discuss Bitcoin, so its mention in such mediums is no longer particularly intriguing.
1043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't Force Your Children to Learn Bitcoin on: June 03, 2023, 07:17:52 PM
It's not just about our children; we shouldn't impose the learning of Bitcoin on anyone who isn't interested in it. When discussing Bitcoin with someone, we may discover whether the other person is genuinely interested or not. If we insist on pushing the conversation forward with someone who lacks interest, it would be futile and a waste of time. The same principle applies when talking to our children about Bitcoin – we need to gauge their reactions. Instead of forcing the topic, it's better to gradually educate them and share our success stories related to Bitcoin. This way, they may develop an interest in it over time.
1044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is cryptocurrency a financial pyramid on: June 03, 2023, 06:36:50 PM
Cryptocurrency is not a pyramid scheme; rather, it involves the circulation of money. If you search for the definition of a pyramid scheme on Google, you'll find a straightforward answer. However, in the case of cryptocurrencies, money constantly changes hands, indicating a circulation of funds. Trading occurs regularly, with individuals selling and others accumulating assets. Profits are made based on market demands and the resulting volatility. Therefore, it is clear that cryptocurrency does not align with the characteristics of a pyramid scheme.
1045  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is mining limited 😮 on: June 02, 2023, 09:34:05 PM
I believe creating another thread is unnecessary. Please lock this thread and contribute to the existing one. There are numerous discussions from which you can learn. The basic concept is that miners will receive rewards from the supply until it reaches 21 million. Once the cap is reached, miners will solely rely on transaction fees for their rewards. As the supply is fully mined at 21 million, miners will no longer receive rewards from the supply. Therefore, mining will continue indefinitely, as miners will still earn rewards through transaction fees.
1046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Satoshi is a saint on: June 02, 2023, 08:51:06 PM
So far, our attempts to uncover the true identity of Satoshi have been unsuccessful. Several individuals have made false claims of being Satoshi, but none have been able to provide conclusive evidence. However, I have recently stopped concerning myself with finding Satoshi. This is because we are all Satoshi in a sense, as we continue to embrace and adopt the concept behind it. Satoshi has transformed from being just an individual to becoming synonymous with the cryptocurrency itself. Instead of tirelessly searching for the elusive Satoshi, we should focus on leveraging the potential of Bitcoin and utilizing it for its intended purpose.
1047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador President Hires Bitcoin Standard Author As Economic Advisor on: June 01, 2023, 08:52:18 PM
I have doubts about whether hiring an advisor will actually benefit El Salvador. It appears that Nayib Bukele has unrealistic expectations regarding Bitcoin. It is crucial for him to understand the unpredictable nature of Bitcoin. If he intends to compel people, either directly or indirectly, to engage with Bitcoin, it may not be a wise decision. Bitcoin should be embraced as a flexible and accepted form of legal tender without excessive overthinking or attempts to coerce the citizens. Additionally, I disagree with the idea of investing any official funds into Bitcoin, but personal investments are a different matter.
1048  Economy / Speculation / Re: Opportunity to buy on: June 01, 2023, 08:33:47 PM
In terms of accumulating in the current market, I would say it is certainly possible to do so. However, it's important to note that the cryptocurrency space is highly unpredictable, and unforeseen events can occur at any moment. For instance, if another exchange were to collapse, it could potentially lead to a significant decrease in prices. Nevertheless, if such events do not transpire, accumulating now and waiting for a price increase can be a profitable strategy, considering Bitcoin's inherent volatility.
1049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is data of historical returns on bitcoin for future investment ? on: June 01, 2023, 08:24:22 PM
Every investor has unique thoughts and investment strategies. Personally, I consider the historical performance of the chart as an important factor. While it may not be the sole determinant for investment decisions, it plays a significant role when deciding whether to invest in Bitcoin or any other cryptocurrency.
1050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you support bitcoin as Global reserve currency? on: June 01, 2023, 08:20:35 PM
As a Bitcoin enthusiast, it's important to acknowledge that while many of us believe Bitcoin has the potential to become a global reserve currency, the reality is that it's highly unlikely to happen. This is primarily due to the fact that Bitcoin is backed by the community and lacks support from a centralized organization.

The high volatility of Bitcoin poses a significant risk when considering it as a global reserve currency. Its price fluctuations can be unpredictable and can lead to unstable economic conditions if widely adopted in that capacity. It's essential to recognize that Bitcoin was not originally created with the intention of serving as a global reserve currency.

Instead, it may be more practical and beneficial to view Bitcoin as a global payment solution rather than a reserve currency. Its decentralized nature and borderless transactions can contribute to seamless and efficient international payments. By focusing on its strengths as a medium of exchange, Bitcoin can play a valuable role in facilitating global transactions and promoting financial inclusivity.
1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dad's retirement money is invested in Bitcoin! on: May 31, 2023, 07:50:17 PM
This is a financial decision that you must make independently. We can offer our opinion, but ultimately, the choice is yours. It's important to note that Bitcoin is a highly volatile cryptocurrency, and its price can decrease significantly at any time. However, there is also the potential for substantial gains, where you can make a decent amount of money. Therefore, you need to carefully manage the potential risks associated with investing in Bitcoin.

In this situation, it is suggested that you consider investing half of your pension money in Bitcoin. However, it's crucial to be prepared for the possibility of a decline in its value. If such a decline occurs, it is important not to panic and ensure that you have sufficient funds remaining to support yourself.
1052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is digital currency powerful? on: May 31, 2023, 07:43:03 PM
Digital currency possesses great potential when utilized effectively, but its successful utilization is not as straightforward as one might assume. When running a business, adherence to centralized government regulations becomes a necessity. Accepting cryptocurrency payments is not a simple task unless it is supported by the government. The true freedom that crypto offers is realized when we have complete control over it. Expanding a business with cryptocurrency requires careful consideration of numerous factors. Consequently, even large enterprises may refrain from accepting crypto due to various reasons.
1053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or banking investment? on: May 30, 2023, 08:08:58 PM
As someone passionate about Bitcoin, I believe it is advantageous to invest in it. However, as a rational individual, I understand the importance of diversifying one's investments and not placing all savings into Bitcoin. It is prudent to maintain a portion of funds in a bank account as a safety net, as unforeseen circumstances may arise where fiat currency is necessary. By keeping funds in the bank, you can handle emergencies without having to sell your Bitcoin holdings, thereby managing risk effectively.
1054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 77% into the next Bitcoin halving on: May 30, 2023, 08:04:14 PM
Bitcoin appears to be relatively stable at the moment and is gradually increasing in value. However, the pace of its movement is quite slow. Assuming there isn't a barrage of negative news, Bitcoin's price is expected to rise further during the halving. Comparing Bitcoin to other altcoins is not something I agree with, as Bitcoin continues to exhibit higher demand than any other alternative cryptocurrencies. It's worth noting that the crypto market has become somewhat centralized due to the dominance of centralized exchanges. I don't anticipate any major incidents occurring prior to the halving, as such an event could potentially cause another market downturn.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT OR MEMES on: May 29, 2023, 09:05:15 PM
I have never invested in NFTs and have no intention to do so. However, I have experienced occasional profits from meme coins, even though I'm not particularly enthusiastic about them. Lately, it seems that meme coins have been generating favorable returns. Just consider those who purchased Pepe coins before they were listed on Binance and sold them afterward. Meme coins have seemingly created numerous millionaires. So, if I were compelled to choose between the two, I would opt for meme coins.
1056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Today I Have Shared About The Benefits Of Bitcoin With My Friends on: May 29, 2023, 08:46:02 PM
It's great that you have an interest in educating others about Bitcoin. However, it's crucial to approach it in a responsible manner. Instead of trying to persuade them to invest, focus on providing a comprehensive understanding of various aspects related to Bitcoin. Cover topics such as wallets, price fluctuations, volatility, risks, and potential profits. By doing so, you empower them to make informed decisions about what they should do.

In your explanations, draw from your own experiences to provide valuable lessons. Share your past encounters with Bitcoin, highlighting both successes and challenges. This will enable them to learn from your experiences and gain a broader perspective on how Bitcoin operates.

It's essential to emphasize that investing in Bitcoin carries risks, including potential downtrends in the market. By educating them about the intricacies of Bitcoin, you equip them with the knowledge necessary to navigate the market themselves. This proactive approach ensures that they won't solely rely on you and avoids potential blame if they encounter losses later on.

Remember, the goal is to provide them with a balanced understanding of Bitcoin, enabling them to make well-informed decisions based on their own assessments.
1057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Educating unemployed friends about Bitcoin on: May 29, 2023, 08:30:12 PM
Regardless of the legality of Bitcoin in your country, your relationship with your friends and colleagues remains unchanged. You are willing to assist them without concern for the legal implications surrounding Bitcoin. Although Bitcoin is also illegal in my country, I have friends and colleagues who are involved with it, and we frequently engage in discussions about Bitcoin. Through mutual support, we have managed to keep our Bitcoin activities hidden from the government's knowledge.
1058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OCC recommend banks to offer private key vaults to customers on: May 29, 2023, 08:20:41 PM
I don't understand why we should entrust the keys to our non-custodial wallets to a custodial bank. The concept seems nonsensical to me. I wouldn't store anything related to cryptocurrency, such as private keys, in such a place. However, I agree that hardware wallets could be a suitable option for storage if necessary. With hardware wallets, it's important to note that none of the funds can be moved from the device without the password. Nevertheless, I personally don't feel secure storing my seeds or private keys with a third party.
1059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: STAGNATION OF BITCOIN PRICE FOR WEEKS on: May 27, 2023, 09:29:23 PM
There have been concerns and allegations circulating about Binance, suggesting that they may have commingled investors' funds with their own revenue. Some argue that this has led to the recent market collapse. However, despite the fear, we haven't witnessed a significant sell-off. It appears that Bitcoin is experiencing its typical fluctuations and is relatively stable at the moment. Nevertheless, it's crucial to approach investments with caution. If we cannot weather the downturns in the market, it becomes challenging to generate profits.
1060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My mistake was making my involvement with Bitcoin public on: May 27, 2023, 09:20:35 PM
In life, there are certain rules we should abide by, one of which is not sharing everything with the public. Particularly when it comes to our income sources, especially those related to cryptocurrency, it's best to exercise caution. Not everyone will understand or support these ventures, especially if they are older and unfamiliar with Bitcoin. Instead of engaging in arguments or trying to convince them otherwise, it's often better to simply ignore their opinions and say that you're moving away from Bitcoin. Acknowledge their perspective, expressing your intention to explore other opportunities in the physical world. There's no need to create unnecessary conflict in real life. Focus on pursuing your own endeavors discreetly.
