1061  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 25, 2020, 10:16:43 AM
He is already aging, he will only earn small minutes but he can still be useful to the team, the reason why he is still signed by the management.
Indeed, even he is not as stong as before, at least he still make ways to adapt like improving his perimeter shooting (do you notice it or it's just me? Grin). He is still definitely useful for the team and besides he already knew their coach than anyone else. Tim Cone got him wherever he go (since when they're on Alaska during the past) which only means that their player-coach relationship was already intact and that aspect of basketball is very important since it was a teamwork game afterall Smiley.
1062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: February 21, 2020, 03:50:12 PM
Baranggay Ginebra now is quite scary for all-Filipino cup especially when Jun Mar Fajardo got injured.
Baranggay Ginebra will really make a huge work here.

Btw, speaking of centers; Christian Standhardinger center for NorthPort Batang Pier is also one of my watchlists, Christian Standhardinger on NortPort is pretty suitable and can play comfortably.
I'm an SMB fan but TBH, there is a high chance that Ginebra will win this All Filipino Cup and end the era of SMB in this Conference.

With the loss of Standhardinger, include also what happened to June Mar, Lassiter and now Romeo who got a sprain when they are up against the Alaska Aces, I don't think that they are that strong enough to defend their crown and we also saw how Ginebra played last conference especially how Aguilar played. Even they don't have Slaughter, he is just a bench and he contributes a few on the team (for me).
I agree, plus the fact that the Daredevil will now be added on Ginebra's force then I think everything is now even more possible Cheesy. Hmm, looks like there's a new All Star Team in town lol. Kidding aside, let's just chill for now. It is still a very long journey for all of them. Ginebra's victory here is not yet 100% assured. Yeah! They look more composed right now but who knows they will have a big problem in the future.
1063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Deal with worst Market on: February 21, 2020, 11:10:01 AM
Sometime this is very painful when we are expecting a very positive, a very aggressive market but suddenly we see the whole market have crashed and all panic selling start. Here is what we need to do,

  • Sell our Coins and be safe
  • Wait for a little bounce back and exit
  • Let it be and remain Relax

Panic selling is for those newbies who one, did not invest what they can afford to lose so they hang on to their investment even to the point of knowing that the price will eventually recover, if you have been investing for the last 4 years you know for sure that 's how the market moves it will go up it will go down, but so far moving forward on all those years that the market suffer a downfall.
Indeed, but still depends on the coin of course. If your coin is just a recent token then better to dump it once. Just hoard during its ICO, airdrop or token sales then sell it once it reaches the price you anticipate or willing to sell Smiley. I'm not discouraging you to continue altcoin investing but you should be aware that nowadays tokens seems just intended for pumping and dumping. On the other hand, if you got an old coin and you think it was well established then go ahead, "Buy low, Sell high" and make the most of it Cheesy. Just make sure that you do it with care huh.
1064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Resist all temptation to fomo on: February 20, 2020, 11:55:36 PM
Fomo doesn't always work, sometimes if favours but most times it's so misleading, I don't get controlled by the present Bitcoin movement, jumping in and buying coins now is so risky, I think the buying days are over
There is no time limit for buying btc if you believe that it will really skyrocket to the moon in the future. Yeah! The prices are now slowly going up bit it doesn't necessarily mean that "buying days" are all over. Of course you can still hoard as many as you can, today is a good day for doing such thing rather than doing it on its $20k mark, isn't it Grin?
1065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 20, 2020, 10:09:51 PM

I honestly think that some teams could benefit from both Irving and Durant, not both of them together because that would be a very very high value and very hard to pitch but seperately. These are not bad players, they do look like bad humans or at least not the type of players you want in your locker room thats for sure, I would rather have any other super star in my team than these guys, Durant is probably one of the most profilic scorers in the game today and Irving is one of the best shot creators so what they lack in character could be make up for the talent they have.
Attitude both in and outside the court is really a big factor when it comes to being part of the team. That's why you will see some players even though they are talented in the court you'll see them let go by teams easily because they are creating a toxic environment for the whole organization.
Yup! Because at the end of the day basketball is still a matter of teamwork and harmony. If you can't cope up with the team then you serve as the burden for the team. It will definitely a big loss, imagine that the game would be now 4 vs 5 lol Grin. Anyway, I think both Durant and Irving got no attitude problems. I can feel it since they are still noticeably jolly in the bench or if there are winning matches (IMO). I guess their problem is the way they behave inside the court, for me they are like "give me the ball and I can pull this off" kind of players. For me they are a little bit selfish thus cutting the ball rotation of their team.
1066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you share at least one gambler who have become rich in gambling? on: February 20, 2020, 03:42:01 PM
I know so many Poker Stars but i think that's not what you really meant Smiley. Actually, I haven't known someone yet who really became rich mainly because of gambling. All of my friends are just winning few bucks every time they play (earning hundreds of bucks are very seldom). But well, I still take it as a good thing tho, at least I knew that they are not gambling dependent until now — a person who only relies on his skill/luck on gambling. An that was still a blessing to be thank for because I knew that all of us are still not crazy lol Grin.
1067  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does Regulation really means? on: February 20, 2020, 02:18:56 PM
It will help to protect the citizens,

But it doesn't mean that every user is 100% safe from hacking/scams. Also, if regulation will come, the real purpose of crypto which is decentralization, will be put to waste. Though, regulation may help to increase or to boost the usage of crypto in each and every country around the world. However, as I have said, regulation will bypass the decentralization which is one factor why we are using it.
Indeed, if a government put a regulation on using crypto then I might say that it is good but also "a little bad" at the same time. It is good in a sense that such act helps us to get more secured, you are right. However, for me it is no longer called decentralized since there is already in control. Our move is not monitored which kind of intimidating for me Grin (you're right on that context as well). But the question is, which weighs heavier? If I will be asked, getting regulation is not a must because I think it will be the same. Having a regulation doesn't mean that we will now be 100% free from fraudsters, so what's the big difference of it from not having one?
1068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the reason for Energi (NRG) going down on: February 20, 2020, 08:52:50 AM
As all know from last month all cryptocurrency moving upwards, But one of the altcoin know as Energi (NRG) has nothing good results. From a few days, Their GEN 3.0 release is also near (Not conform) and they also trying to release their hardware wallet support. But after this many new announcements the price and volume of Energi (NRG) not doing good. Its price going down day by day and investors were going in loss. So, the question is, what is the reason for Energi (NRG) going down?
Hmm, honestly I am not familiar with this coin called NRG but it was still a simple alt afterall so I think the reason why it is falling now is the loss of interest of its hodlers. Maybe more hodlers of such coin are now starting to dump more due to the panic. Look on the chart on CMC, thing gets worse everyday after the June of 2019 (I guess this is the time NRG listed, isn't it?). From $8.xx to $1.xx, that was a huge drop! It is dying dude, if I were you I'll sell it all to cut my loss Sad.
1069  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin good for the economy? on: February 20, 2020, 03:58:42 AM
Bitcoins have three useful qualities in a currency, according to The Economist in January 2015: they are "hard to earn, limited in supply and easy to verify". Economists define money as a store of value, a medium of exchange and a unit of account, and agree that bitcoin has some way to go to meet all these criteria.
Is it good to economy? For me it really is Smiley. In my perspective, since I can be able to uplift my financial status through the help of it then it only means that I am not a burden in our society. Since I'm not a burden thus I maybe considered as productive and healty part of our country; and if there will be many existing individuals who got the same story like me then it definitely means a good economy Cheesy (I hope you got my point tho).

That's why I really wonder why some government (not ours, fortunately) really hate crypto. How sad that they just see the bad side and disregarding the bright side Sad.
1070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can save some people's lives :-> on: February 20, 2020, 12:51:01 AM
People can also do online payments with Bitcoin to avoid handling physical cash and thus avoiding infection. It can also prevent people from being infected from a host of other viruses and bacteria that can survive for days on physical coins and notes.

This is just one more reason for people to move away from physical payment methods and shifting to a cash-less financial system in the future.  Wink
Yeah, it's true! The current infection tend us to use crypto or any form of electronic payment for doing transactions. But then again, until when? That's the sad reality mate, what if that reason gone, I mean the epidemic to be more specific? Of course people still go back to fiat because it was already set on their mind that it was their preference. I don't want to become the pessimistic here but I think we will never achieved crypto revolution as long as there is one who is against or at least not willing to use it Sad.
1071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Assess your gambling addiction level. on: February 19, 2020, 11:11:10 PM
Props to you on making a nice scale Cheesy. It was simple but for me it already sums up every intensities of gambling addiction, good job. Anyway, going back to the topic, I think I only lie from Level 0 to 1 right now since I'm still busy due to my preparations for board exam. But given that I already finished this and find a decent job, it's weird that I can feel that I will suddenly jump into Level 4. Honestly, I think of someday that I will allocate few percent of my earnings just to try my luck on gambling Grin.
1072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't be a hypocrite and admit that you are a gambler on: February 18, 2020, 02:54:01 PM
So I can't agree to some people says that we gamble in life, it's just some exaggerated phrases or hyperbole.
Lol, chill dude Smiley. Well, I am not saying that our whole life is like a gamble but there are instances that it really is; so I can't blame if others realize the same thing. For me they are not OA (over reacting) or whatsoever, it just so happened that they are just gaining wisdoms in life and can't help but to make comparison on other things of scenarios. In short, their perspective becomes deeper as their experiences grow broader Cheesy. Having such kind of mindset is healthy, maybe one of them become great advicers/public speakers/philosophers someday. Who knows?
1073  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: At the end of the year! on: February 18, 2020, 01:24:23 PM
I don't know why crypto experts/analysts always play safe by saying at the end of the year that coin price will go in that place/price! So, people wait 12 months to see it if they are right or wrong?! At the end of 2017, that was a miracle and after that so-called analyzer keeps predicting a high price by setting the timeline at the end of the year! We saw what happened in 2018 and 2019! It's better to learn the price chart and see other things to make your own prediction and strategy. Don't fall in words guys that Reddit co-owner, or Twitter owner or any other big names predict a high price, always do your own research in every sector in crypto. Good Luck.
Hehehe, I'm not guilty on this one Grin. I also don't listen too much on those "forecasters" simply because they are only trying to predict what will happen next and not stating facts with concrete evidences. So even how famous or how influential he is in this world, I don't care unless he showed me that he can time travel lol. At the end of the day, everyone can make their own predictions and everyone can manipulate what's in his hands, so why mind listening on those "false prophets"?
There is no need to put an evidence because to predict the future you don't need an evidence but only a basis, but that basis will only be valid if we who listen to them agrees with it, that is why there's no guarantee that they are correct because they are just humans like us and like us we don't see the future and yet we can't predict perfectly. Maybe when I was new I am a fan of this experts but later I realized that they are not worth a lot to be successful in crypto.
Exactly, that's my point mate Cheesy. They are only predicting — a presumption, a statement without 100% assurance. That's why from the very start I never listened from those people. Yeah I enjoy the possitivity they could bring to the market because sometimes it manifest on the price of coins, however, it's still not advisable to purely depend on them. IMHO, it's much better if you fail because of your da*n decisions rather than failing due from lettimg others to over influence you Smiley.

1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some ridiculous suspicious projects with zero value! on: February 17, 2020, 11:51:01 PM
I some how participated to the WPP bounty campaign but was given a little payment which I kept till date, I begin to wonder if actually these individuals have conscience. You get investors money and invest with them, later abandoned the project. I stand in the opinion that, let them fund the projects before investors can now come onto the project. They have treated us badly and should be more careful. My tokens are still there because they are neutrally zero tokens.
I feel you bro, I know the struggle of having an almost valueless token. I also got an alt before (2 years have passed when I bought it as far as I remember) and now it's still in my wallet. But the funny thing here is I already forgot the password of it due to loss of interest on that particular coin. I realized that it will not bring me some good money afterall so why I would waste my time looking forward to it Grin. If I were you, just dump your token already so that you cut your loss at least and never ever invest to an ICO again (just a friendly advice tho).
1076  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 17, 2020, 10:55:29 PM
Yeah, maybe the first time that we see in an all star game wherein they are playing defense, Giannis challenging Lebron and then Lebron guarding Joel Embiid in the post. Interesting to see Kawhi winning the all star MVP for this year, I never expect him to win to be honest.
Me too, I didn't expected that he became the MVP. Well, maybe that's really a kind of player he is — silent and not as charismatic as the others but if you will look the scorecards in the end, you will get shocked that he really contributed great numbers Grin lol.
Anyways, the real winner here is the charity organisation, good cause for the whole NBA here and kudos to them.
And us of course, it brought us the excitement we wanted Smiley. I'm pretty sure many basketball fans out there will love watching NBA more and some people out there might now start loving it as well Smiley.
1077  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: February 17, 2020, 01:34:58 PM
Team Giannis is a winner from 3 quarters and I bet they have a thought that they will win it. I did.

I think they only won the 2nd quarter, in the 3rd quarter, they are tied and in the 4th quarter it was Team Lebron who won because they rally from a big deficit. Here's the score per quarter : https://www.espn.com/nba/game?gameId=401197813
Congrats for Team Lebron and the winning bettors Cheesy. What a great bounce for them! I didn't exepect that Team Lebron find a hard time to bring home the bacon thus props to the opposing team. Anyway, my favorite highlights of the game is when Trae Young pull of a half court shot (that was soo cool) and when Giannis blocked AD. In all fairness, I'm entertained in this year's All Star game, I really felt that everyone is taking the game seriously and not just play for the sake of exhibition Smiley.
1078  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your recommended ways of gambling. on: February 16, 2020, 11:49:10 PM
I have limited budget but want to gamble for longer duration even I will not make profits.
If I were you, I will not gamble at least for now. You already said that your budget is limited so much better if you will save it for your future. But if that money was only intended for gambling purposes then continue Smiley. What can I advice you is to change the game you are playing, maybe dice games doesn't really suits you. Maybe you are better than card games like poker (assuming you know how) or good in predicting sport matches, who knows Cheesy? Gambling is broad, don't stick in a game which you are not good, besides I think a year of playing it without getting improvement is a valid reason to let go isn't it? Discover your new potentials.
1079  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: TIPS FOR NEWBIE GAMBLERS ! on: February 16, 2020, 04:26:31 PM

7. Always play only for fun. Bet only what you can afford to lose.

All the tips are great and it's not only for newbies but for the veteran as well who sometimes falls into trap or confusion while playing, but probably, the best advice should be this one if you follow this one, you can get out safe and enjoyed and because this is the primary goal of a responsible gambler
Indeed, very short advice and yet the most effective. I agree that we should spend amount of money on gambling what we are only willing to lose. It's not different from other things actually, in business it was called "invest at your own risk" etc. Guys, let's keep our life simple Smiley. Less greed means more walking to the rightful path, less expectaions means less hurt and lastly have fun too. If you win then cherish it but if you lose then forget about it as simple as that. Don't stressed out yourselves thinking about your losses given the fact that your main source of funds doesn't depends on it. Just feel the moment, don't forget to enjoy the hype and excitement every time you play Smiley.
1080  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Taxation on: February 16, 2020, 08:58:05 AM
The only thing that will look worse is having a high taxation fee than the transaction fee, I hope it will not happen if ever crypto taxation in a county implemented.
I'm sure it won't happen because it was obviously unfair for all of us. If ever a law passed regarding this taxation, I hope they should also follow the guidelines like they used on usual taxing. There's a specific percent should be only deducted on one's total worth and it must be in terms of btc too (disregarding the fluctuation of price).
Paying a tax using crypto will not be illegal if it has been issued by the government. So who will take the government into jail? Well, if an authority made a mistake of collecting tax like asking a higher amount instead of the exact amount which is not covered by the rules and regulations then you can report them on a higher position because it is considered as corruption. The government's public servants are meant to served not to serve them.
This is what I'm worrying about. Since crypto offers more anonymous transactions, corrupt officials can now do their shady stuffs a lot easier than the usual Sad.
