1101  Other / Meta / Re: [BAN APPEAL] UID: 1035888 on: June 06, 2023, 09:12:47 PM
Honest mistake on plagiarism issue. I just do copy paste that time from the stuffs given to me to post it on the ann thread without checking the source. I was shocked that it was from another website that I didn't visit even once.

Posting with your own account remains your personal responsibility, and I can't find any valid justification to suggest otherwise. Moreover, as a thread moderator, you hold an even greater responsibility towards the forum community. Promoting a project that turns out to be a scam reflects poorly on your role as a moderator. It only takes a quick Google search, which takes less than ten seconds, to verify if the content you're sharing is plagiarized or stolen from elsewhere.

There are still many users evading bans that do their normal thing without being caught.

I can't help but wonder if you might be one of them.

I admit that I use another account without knowing that it was illegal here, so I tried to appeal again even though it was too late and almost impossible to unban since I already posting on other threads outside meta.

If admins won't unban me then I just move on and focus on trading crypto again.

If you're hoping to get the admins to reconsider your ban, you'll need to demonstrate that your contributions have had a positive impact and that lifting the ban would actually benefit the community. But, it seems quite unlikely that you can effectively make a compelling argument in this regard.
1102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Quick Bitcoin questions on: June 04, 2023, 09:03:02 PM
isn't the cheaper always the better choice?

No, opting for a cheaper option is not always the best choice. Consider a scenario where you need to transfer a substantial sum of money, such as a few thousand or tens of thousands of dollars. Would you be willing to pay a mere $1 as a transaction fee? Now, picture the same amount being transferred through a bank or multiple banks. How much would it ultimately cost you?

The Bitcoin network is hands down the most secure payment network out there. So, it makes perfect sense that it comes with a certain fee requirement. In the end, it's up to you how you choose to use Bitcoin. You can use it to make secure transactions anywhere in the world. or you can use it as a store of value and potentially see it grow over time.
1103  Other / Meta / Re: [BAN APPEAL] UID: 1035888 on: June 04, 2023, 07:44:08 PM
I think let’s not make this complicated. I make an appeal for my account 1035888 here. Instead of talking about it, you are redirecting on this account’s ban evasion offense in which it doesn’t help on my account 1035888’s situation.

I think you yourself made things complicated. Rather than discussing your ban appeal for the account "sumangs" (u=1035888), why not first clarify whether you are ban evading and how many other accounts you have on the forum?

So far we have these potential suspects:

Date Registered:Last Active: Status:
sumangs (u=1035888)June 18, 2017Today banned
DySWv (u=1163354)September 21, 2017May 15, 2020inactive

barlo_blake (u=2031561)April 14, 2018August 01, 2018inactive

Could you kindly clarify the connection between these accounts and disclose any other accounts you manage? You are under no obligation to do so, but providing this information could shed light on your situation and potentially help the managers' evaluation of your ban appeal case.
1104  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Last block not mined by a pool? on: June 04, 2023, 08:39:41 AM
I'm curious to know which block was the last one mined by a miner that is not a pool. Is there a way to filter out the pools on mempool?

You can do that on the Blockchair.com explorer. Just set the filter for "Guessed miner" to "unknown".

https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/blocks?s=id(desc)&q=guessed_miner(Unknown)

According to Blockchair.com, the most recent block mined by an individual miner, not associated with a mining pool, is: https://blockchair.com/bitcoin/block/792771
1105  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: June 04, 2023, 08:10:24 AM
^All I know is that web2 is centralized and web3 is decentralized, which is that thought they have big differences.
By popularity and gaining the trust of the community is a way we can trust web2, plus another factor by having an active business here in our forum will bring them more trust than others. The reason could be people still love to use Web 2 casinos is the accessibility and user experience. Web2 casinos often have user-friendly interfaces and intuitive navigation, making them more accessible and convenient for casual users while Web3 casinos, on the other hand, may require additional technical knowledge or the use of specialized wallets and tools, which can be a barrier for some users, that was I see here.

I think that the concept of web3 is still largely undefined and does not have a clear meaning. Yes, the underlying technology of web3, such as blockchain, is designed to be decentralized, but this does not mean that everything that is web3 is also decentralized. There is underlying technology and there are applications or platforms built on top of it. While the technology itself may be decentralized, the actual implementation and use of web3 applications can vary.

If ever the account was unbanned, I will now continue using this account (barlo357) and contribute some of my thoughts in this platform.

In my understanding, it is generally not permitted to create or use additional accounts if one of your accounts is banned.
By using this account you are essentially breaking the ban evasion rule:

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]
1107  Other / Meta / Re: Ninjastic.space - BitcoinTalk Post/Address archive + API on: June 03, 2023, 07:31:51 PM
One more idea: The user requests that a particular post has constant monitoring, to create a history of edits.

Some posts are edited multiple times over time. Having a record of that could be interesting, to understand how this post evolved.

Not a bad idea, it would be specially useful for those who wish to follow an ANN to see if any significant change of rules or progress have taken place from the moment of the creation of the thread.

Actually, that's not a bad idea at all. It could prove useful in certain situations.

But wouldn't it require constantly scraping the same post over and over again? I'm not entirely sure how web scraping works, but I guess it requires certain computer resources and data traffic. What if this feature gets abused? Since Ninjastic.space doesn't require any registration, someone could maliciously request monitoring for hundreds or thousands of posts. That would definitely cause difficulties for the stable operation of the entire system.

Hey, @TryNinja, I think this could be a cool idea for a premium feature! Making it exclusive to members who pay a small fee or subscribe monthly could be a great way to offer extra value. What do you think?
1108  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: June 03, 2023, 07:00:38 PM
<...>
There’s really some web2 casino that unfair on customers and they can easily do this because they have the full control of the casino. I think he is just trying to emphasize here the main advantage of web3 decentralized casino.

Yeah, that's probably it. I also noticed that the OP mentioned "fake" web2 casinos in the title. And you know what? He's not wrong. There are some downright scammy online casinos out there, and they're a real threat to us players. They rig the games, manipulate the odds, and do everything in their power to make sure we lose our money. However, although the concept of web3 casinos, which operate on blockchain technology, may seem promising in terms of transparency and security, it doesn't guarantee that all web3 casinos will be trustworthy or immune to scams. Just like with any other industry, there will always be bad actors looking to exploit vulnerabilities and deceive unsuspecting players. Maybe even more so in this case, because the vast majority of web3 casinos will operate on decentralized platforms and smart contracts, which can introduce a whole new set of risks and challenges. Decentralized exchanges (DEXs), for example, have faced issues such as smart contract vulnerabilities, hacking incidents, and scams. Just as we have seen in the case of DEXs and other decentralized autonomous organizations (DAOs), the risks and challenges associated with web3 casinos can indeed be significant.
1109  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: June 03, 2023, 04:52:30 PM
The only danger is when the casino database got breached. I think there’s an issue like this in the past were players information is stolen by hacker and sold on deep web. It still relies on the casino security on how they will store the customers data even though the casino is permitted by the law to do KYC.

That is not the only danger, my friend. There's more to worry about than just a casino database getting hacked. It's a serious issue, no doubt, but let's not forget about those shady online casinos lurking out there. It's a sad reality that not all gambling platforms play fair. Some of them are downright deceitful and fraudulent.

Even if a casino claims to have top-notch security measures in place, there's always a chance of something going wrong on the inside. You know how it is, there's always a chance of human error or misconduct within the casino itself. Imagine employees mishandling our personal data either on purpose or by accident. That's a privacy breach waiting to happen right under their noses.

And let's not kid ourselves, my friend. In this wild world of online gambling, there are establishments that don't give a damn about ethics. They see our personal information as a goldmine, ready to be exploited for their own financial gain. They're not above selling our data to sketchy third parties who want to market stuff to us or, worst case scenario, engaging in identity theft and fraud.

The requirements of KYC is not about how small or big the casino because all casino start as being small and they just improve it. KYC is based on the license of the casino and user shouldn’t provide KYC on casino that doesn’t have license no matter how big it is.

That's true. It's a real bummer, but we have to stay vigilant. Do some digging before you trust any online casino. Look for trustworthy reviews, check if they're licensed and regulated, and read their privacy policies. It's the only way we can protect ourselves from these unscrupulous characters who want to take advantage of us by treating our personal information like a commodity.

Still waiting for your license to operate a crypto currency online casino?

It seems that you are still a bit confused about how gambling licenses work and why most operators that have licenses from the Government of Curacao have the option of accepting payments in cryptocurrencies.

TwitchySeal already gave you a good suggestion a few months ago:

Cool.  Go report all the casinos with licenses from Curacao that are using crypto to their regulator and let us know how that goes.  Maybe you'll get a reward for imforming them that the majority of their licensees are using crypto.

Have you tried doing that?

I do have a few of my own virtual bank accounts (N26, OPENBANK) with good balances registered in Spain where I have residency.
<...>

I don't think you can offer your virtual bank accounts as valid collateral because they are not assets that can be easily liquidated or used as security in the traditional sense.

In your situation, I believe the best option would be to directly purchase Bitcoin with fiat currency. I recommend checking out the Currency Exchange section of the forum. There may be trusted forum members who can facilitate such trades for you. Additionally, you can try using platforms like BestChange to find exchanges that accept your preferred payment method for purchasing Bitcoin.

I just checked the first post from your post history.

Dybala is a really special player and he proved it once again. Even though he had an injury and missed many matches recently it still didn't affect him negatively here. He doesn't care about being less fit than the other players. Dybala scored the goal for Roma in first half. Second half the Coach made two changes and the changes have added tempo to the team. Sevilla have equalized the goals against Roma in fifty five minutes which is not something easy. The goal came from a well played cross into the penalty box of Roma by Jesus Navas that caused an own goal from Gianluca Mancini. The ball is already an end eight six minutes, maybe miracle can happen.

Dybala is a really special player and he proved it once again. Even though he had an injury and missed many matches recently it still didn't affect him negatively here. He doesn't care about being less fit than the other players. His clinical finish there can bring the Europa League championship to Roma. But as nothing has ended Mourinho wouldn't let his players become complacent even for a second.
<...>

How do you explain that? Should we go check out your posts further?
1114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: He Committed Suicide After Losing School fees, And That Of Friend To Betting.. on: June 03, 2023, 09:30:41 AM
I'm really sorry to hear about such a sad story. Yes, the consequences of gambling addiction can be devastating, affecting not only the individual but also those around them. It's sad that some individuals who find themselves in such a desperate situation often struggle to reach out for support or confide in their loved ones. They may isolate themselves, feeling trapped and hopeless.

How can we as a society create a more supportive environment for individuals struggling with gambling addiction? How can we encourage a more responsible gambling culture that emphasizes moderation and healthy boundaries? These are the questions we really need to answer if we want to avoid or at least lower the chances of these sad stories happening again in the future.
1115  Economy / Gambling / Re: Empowering Individuals Through Statistical Analysis: Building a Casino Simulator on: June 03, 2023, 09:08:28 AM
Regardless of how fascinating or valuable such tools may appear for statistical purposes, there is simply no way to outsmart the law of probability in a gambling casino. The outcomes of casino games are inherently random, and luck plays a crucial role in determining success or failure. So, no statistical tool or AI can provide a solution to overcome the law of probability. Gambling outcomes will always involve an element of uncertainty and luck, which cannot be eliminated by any tool or technology.
1116  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question about casino, sports bet on: June 03, 2023, 08:57:40 AM
Every online gambling platforms are accessible using an Android smartphone but I don't like it because of the possible details I might be missing, there are some games that works better and more snappier on computers instead of a smartphone, I do notice a better display using an iPad vs a smartphone, I think the display inches is playing a major role here so it's all about the display, but many people don't care so, it's all about which one you prefer.

You're absolutely right! While it's true that you can access online gambling platforms using a smartphone, I personally find it a bit limiting. The larger screen size and better graphics on my desktop computer can definitely enhance the overall gaming experience. But we cannot overlook the advantages that mobile devices bring to the table. With a smartphone, you have the freedom to access online gambling platforms anytime, anywhere. And that is certainly tempting for many players, especially the younger population for whom a smartphone is practically an extension of themselves.

1118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 01, 2023, 09:56:35 PM
Now, the question is.... Will you still use a VPN, if it is not allowed by the ToS on the site. What will you do if they "block" your account and take your balance?

You already answered your own question in a way. If you are worried that using a VPN will cause your account to be blocked, it is better not to use one in the first place. Why risk it if it's against their Terms of Service?

And if it does come to that point, I don't see many options available to you. Perhaps you could try proving that you are not from a banned country and that you used a VPN for legitimate reasons, but ultimately, you would be at their mercy since you violated their terms of service.
1119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle long shot bets? on: May 29, 2023, 05:28:20 PM
Anyone here is successful doing a long shot bet? A point were you can be satisfied without considering your bankroll status and just pure fun on gambling experience?

It is a well-known fact that many people initially engage in gambling for entertainment purposes, placing small bets to pass the time when feeling bored or something. However, it often doesn't feel like a significant amount of money has been lost at first. To make up for the losses, some gamblers may feel compelled to increase their bets, hoping that a single win will recover their previous losses. Unfortunately, this approach can lead to even larger losses.

That's why, in my opinion, having a gambling budget and setting realistic goals is super important. You gotta set aside a specific amount of money that you're okay with putting at risk. Whether it's for a day of gambling or just one session, you gotta stick to that amount like it's your lifeline. That way, you can still enjoy the excitement of gambling without going crazy and risking more than you can afford.
1120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: MINING WITH SOLAR POWER | WHAT WOULD YOU DO IN MY CASE? on: May 29, 2023, 05:08:46 PM
i dont have any equipment but a rig with 2 powerful GPUS consume about 500w

If you don't have any mining equipment, then your options are even more limited. Keep in mind, even with free electricity, buying a mining rig will only pay off if the price of BTC goes up. This means that miners who buy equipment are basically betting that the next bull run will happen.

Given that you mentioned the ability to sell excess electricity generated, the best solution would be to do so and use the funds to purchase crypto. This approach allows you to indirectly participate in the cryptocurrency market without the need for mining equipment, thereby potentially capitalizing on the market's movements.
