1161  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is MtGox prepping another vector of customer attack? [AML] on: January 25, 2014, 03:52:39 PM
Mt. Gox looks to me (as an outsider not having dealt with them) as a ponzi scheme at a huge level.

Likely? they don't have the actual bTC or Cash fund's to support the exchange and so they are holding back trying to get people in to pay off those leaving and they are not managing anymore.
1162  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Fast and Private Transactions with QuadrigaCX Online Exchange on: January 25, 2014, 03:37:52 PM
Been talking to these guy's recently. Great group it would seem.

In Canada the other options I've found are Virtex and VoS..

Virtex continuously changed their pricing and dealing's, an offer would be presented than changed. and they now charge $100/month to use their API keys... CaVirtex is in this purely for the dollar, every time I would reply to someone, I'd get a response from a different person and have to start over.

VoS is impossible to communicate with. I get comments form staff such as "pretty sure that's illegal" than I can't get responses for day's. Or term's change. I gave up dealing with them.

The Quad group may be small but they have no fee's, at least for now. And they answer a question when asked, to the point and don't beat around with changes.

I'm trying to find the best exchange to run an ATM machine, Quad will be getting our business, as far as the other Canadian exchange's I'd care less if they disappeared.
1163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for Canadian Support tomorrow Morning! on: January 23, 2014, 12:54:34 AM
They sell a digital copy on DVD for $100..

I'll have it on my PVR so If I need to I'll cap it with my phone.

Hopefully someone with the ability to rip it can do that.
I just hope I don't blunder or trip on a question they ask lol.

Hoping it pings at least a few mini transactions Smiley
1164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for Canadian Support tomorrow Morning! on: January 23, 2014, 12:39:22 AM
Oh it's Channel 225 on Bell, Unsure for others. Hope to get some interest.
1165  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Looking for Canadian Support tomorrow Morning! on: January 23, 2014, 12:16:26 AM
I will be on the Morning Live talk show for CTV-Winnipeg tomorrow morning.

Please bare with me if your able to watch, it's on from 6-9 central time, I have been told I will get a 4 minute slot at about 750am.

I'm hoping I don't mess up too bad! I'll showcase physical coins, paper wallet, and the Android app options. In the process I'm HOPING I can get my cell phone wallet's QR code to be shown on Camera.

I'm thinking it would be a huge splash if it got a bunch of micro hit's to show all the coiners who are watching.

I mean Penny or less transactions. I'm not looking to get rich off this!

If I do somehow make a few dollar's It will be sent to Shawn's Outpost!

My wallet for this is the one I use for local transactions etc. I'll paste it here for those of you without a scanner who wish to join in can be ready to send a penny.

Wallet is 161cHoinyXhrJagF2TMGoZhZjwGh7nvE1h

I'm there to talk bitcoin basics, but was contacted due to my involvement in www.BitTeller.ca so hoping I can get it mentioned as well Smiley

Thank you for the support.

Please note: Not a scam, I don't want money now. But this will be LIVE on t.v. so the onscreen effect could be pretty wicked!

P.S. I won't show my private key like others have Tongue so no stealing Smiley
1166  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Here is an idea for all the physical coin aficionados on: January 18, 2014, 07:27:44 PM
That looks cool.

I'd love to see something like on "Almost Human"
more of a thumb stick with outside code, maybe crack it to remove the private key?

I'd like to get away from the coin look Smiley

1168  Other / Off-topic / Re: Custom electrical relay option? on: January 18, 2014, 03:06:58 PM
5-15W LED lights.
Standard box size unless I need a bigger option.
1169  Other / Off-topic / Custom electrical relay option? on: January 18, 2014, 07:05:02 AM
I needto run power about 100m into my back yard.
I'd like to run one line. and plan to have a dozen lights placed along it.

My issue being, I want to be able to switch each light on or off independently.

I've looked at maybe an X10 setup but I feel overly complicated and pricey, inline unit's are $30, and need 40W, I will only be running 5-15W lights.

Any idea's on this? a system or relay option? wireless or maybe using the power line?

Any help/advice would be great. I wish to avoid running 12 wires Smiley

Thank You

Shawn
1170  Economy / Services / Re: Need a Professional Logo and business card designed ASAP on: January 13, 2014, 05:27:23 PM
Depending on the cost maybe, you can also simply show shrunk version with a watermark if needed. Would save on Escrow fee's, But I need to see the caliber of work prior to sending anything to escrow.

Make my logo with a different name if you wish.

It start's with Bit******

I want the B to be the BTC symbol in orange, black text with a black or Blue swoop behind/around it.

Feel free to use any word, and if we agree on a logo I'd pay before requiring the final design.

I can release the company name in PM if you wish.

We can pay in BTC.

1172  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Official CaVirtex.com Thread on: January 12, 2014, 04:09:41 PM
VaultOfSatoshi.com take's canadain deposit's and are growing more... May be worth moving over.

Not sure what the hell is going on with Virtex, but I can assure you I use them for moving fund's only. I don't keep much of anything with them Sad
1173  Economy / Goods / Re: Laser Engraved Bitcoin/Litecoin Cards (Public ID and BIP38 encrypted cards) on: January 12, 2014, 05:49:13 AM

And a copy of the public for taking payments.

If your Canadian and these work well I'll buy more. and would like custom for our business Smiley

Sounds great! Yup, we're Canadian. We're also working on some custom "Bitcoin accepted here" plates, if there is interest!

Cheers

Something not as simple, circuit board etc. etched into it.
Although I apparently have access at work to a laser etcher, and much nicer metals. hmm

Never got shipping email Sad
1174  Economy / Services / Programmer to make local exchange website??? on: January 10, 2014, 01:07:10 AM
We presently sell BTC over paper wallet's at a few local locations.

Looking to offer a simpler solution for the store's. I'd like to develop a website. Where store owner/employee can login.
See the current rate of BTC,
Enter a cash or BTC amount.
See the total owing, Scan a customer's QR code. click send.

The site log's into the exchange (using the api)
Buy's the requested mount of BTC and sends it to the wallet.

The employee handle's the cash.

The site track's the login's sales total. Deducts their profit. And keep's a running total of what they owe me.

When they make a payment. I Can login as Admin and track that payment. So it change's what they owe.

Would like to see this use a Canadian Exchange. Where we add the Fee behind the scene. % for me, % for store owner.

Needs to be secure, as login from multiple store location's is needed. As well as multiple user tracking.

Admin access to edit rate's, Add users, and confirm payments.

Who can build me something like this?
What sort of cost/time frame?

Please pm me. You would need good background. Payment done Via Escrow.
Need to provide proof of work. And explain how you would do this.
Ground up or using a prebuilt CMS?

Thank You

Email me directly.

I was just about to give you a blast for thread jacking, but yeah they clearly buggered off.

Your public only, could you double side them? LTC on one side, BTC the other?

If he is willing to give you that much for paypal he's scamming you...
And the trust system only show's you what your trusted people have said about him.
