961  Other / Meta / Re: Vod just left negative feedback for iCEBREAKER after he left Vod negative rating on: January 07, 2015, 10:29:29 PM
It was only a matter of time before something like this ended up happening, especially with the fact on this forum we conduct real deals, I hope that the moderators will have the sense not to give in to this bullshit and drastically change the rules or ban anyone for that matter just because a few morons are screaming the loudest. The people bitching about Vod even if they are correct are counting on you to overreact and start banning people left and right, then slowly, they'll get support to try and take over the forum or try and get a good portion of the community to leave.

I've seen this kind of crap before and it's always something completely pointless that starts it.
no,
I'd just like the negative mark taken off my rating. Or vod removed from default trust.
But I can see how that seems like a forum take over.

Please follow the rules posted by the op.

Double standard.
they step in one time, next time they state they have no right to step in.
For the record, theymos removed me from DefaultTrust when I gave negative trust to gweedo, who made a number of very misleading attack threads on me and my businesses. Here's the PM I received from theymos:

Quote
You have just been sent a personal message by theymos on Bitcoin Forum.

IMPORTANT: Remember, this is just a notification. Please do not reply to this email.

The message they sent you was:

IMO your ratings of gweedo are inappropriate. His thread title is inaccurate and overly harsh, but this doesn't imply that he's untrustworthy. I feel that allowing your ratings to exist in the default trust network would be counter to the forum's mission of free speech, so I've removed you from the default trust network.

Did the forum's mission of free speech disappear?!
965  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: i buy 2.6 btc ! on: January 07, 2015, 08:35:31 PM
Good first post.
no way your a scammer. Lol
966  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone use quadriga? on: January 07, 2015, 08:34:31 PM
Incase one goes down, something happens
the exchange decides to close.on short notice and your stuck without a.method to get coins.

Cause that never happens.

I used vault, when they closed.I moved to my quad account.
anyone trying to verify with them is stuck in massive backlog now.

967  Bitcoin / Hardware / asicminer prisma fan option? on: January 07, 2015, 07:35:14 PM
Anyway to dial.down the dB on these dam things without much loss, ever a better quality fan?
968  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone use quadriga? on: January 07, 2015, 07:27:08 PM
Verify on more than one.

Quad has great customer service
969  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone use quadriga? on: January 07, 2015, 07:02:45 PM
They are awesome
Bigger than Virtex as a matter of fact,
And the guy's running it are good.

They offer a bunch of ways to move cash, including interac debit (1.5% fee) and other slower free methods

For some reason their price of BTC is always a bit higher.

You can also get a verified Cryptsy account, and do a few debit transactions a month, at a better rate.

Cryptsy wants me to hold up a peice of paper beside my face with my username written on it.. it's a little to werid for me.  America's obbsession with a police state has turned me off of wanting to do business there.

Quad, Vault and Virt are going to want scan of your ID, bills, proof of address. Lol

It's not a police state, it's covering their asses, sadly.
Or establish a method to trade cash for coin with someone, and pay a premium to stay anonymous.
970  Other / Meta / Re: Remove VOD from the Default Trust List - clear case of neg for calling out abuse on: January 07, 2015, 06:48:12 PM
I think you and I both know this is a valid trust abuse claim regardless if you are going to come out and say it explicitly or not.

Personally I feel a neutral may be more appropriate, but tbh I haven't really kept up with all this so I don't have a strong opinion about it. Too much childish bickering over too many threads (on all sides). Just my opinion, take it or leave it.

Well. Sadly we are actually looking for some sort of answer from the Admin staff.

Is trust a free for all. Anything goes.
Or is it for Scammers or potential scammers to be flagged (the neutral portion).
And when a trusted member post's lies or half truth's, what can be done about it?
971  Other / Meta / Re: Congrats to Bitcoininformation on: January 07, 2015, 06:44:46 PM
It looks like bitcoininformation is a staff member and a moderator of the Nederlands (Dutch) section.

I know him from the signature campaign thread and think he does a great job with that.

Congrats.

OP note: no conspiracy theories about default trust or "I hate Vod" posts allowed

I hate Dov?...

Contrary to belief that's not all we post :p

Congrats on the promotion. Big step. Have fun!
972  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [Great prices!] Selling BTC! [PP/Skrill] on: January 07, 2015, 05:58:18 PM

973  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB 2 BTC @ $560 -- Escrow or LocalBitcoins on: January 07, 2015, 05:57:31 PM
I could of done that yes, I'd do a $50 or $100 trade for that matter, it would allow us to both build up trust.
974  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [Great prices!] Selling BTC! [PP/Skrill] on: January 07, 2015, 05:35:26 PM
Currently awaiting Yung1 to fund the escrow address provided to him.

Yes please advice, I'd like to buy half a coin to start actually, using paypal.
975  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [Great prices!] Selling BTC! [PP/Skrill] on: January 07, 2015, 04:50:39 PM
I will also buy 1btc if your using escrow,
976  Other / Meta / Re: Default Trust - Why Does Anyone Even Care Anymore? on: January 07, 2015, 04:05:45 PM
Frankly it wouldn't mean anything, but Noob's and member who know no better, have a default list, which means, when users who have been wrongly nailed by someone on the default trust list. Every new user see's a BIG RED Extreme Caution warning.

Effecting, sometimes, if people even reply to you.

So although I no longer have any faith in the system. Many users still do.

If the system was used as stated, it would be fine really.

Risked BTC amount is money that the person could have stolen or did steal. For example, if you do a currency trade where the other person sends first, your feedback for them would have 0 risked BTC and their feedback for you would have risked BTC equal to the BTC value of the trade.

Type:
Positive - You trust this person or had a successful trade.
Neutral - Comments. Your rating will not affect this person's trust score.
Negative - You were scammed or you strongly believe that this person is a scammer.
977  Economy / Trading Discussion / Where to buy BTC with Verified PayPal on: January 07, 2015, 03:59:30 PM
Before you say,
I know I can withdraw, I'm verified on exchanges. But I'd rather not wait and just move the funds over quickly.

I'd even be okay with establishing a trust system with a seller, and using them exclusively.
Small amounts, few hundred a month at most.
More than that I would do over an exchange.

Just not wanting to pull my affiliate payments if not needed.
978  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [Great prices!] Selling BTC! [PP/Skrill] on: January 07, 2015, 03:52:23 PM
Willing to use an escrow?

Be aware, if you say no, your going to be flagged for a scammer by the whole community.
979  Other / Meta / Could admins please advise on the Trust issue? on: January 07, 2015, 03:42:15 PM
Since we are not allowed off topic at all, I sent an admin a pm, and would rather have it answered in public.

Any posts not by an admin in response to this will be off topic and reported.

Thank You

I'd like for some sort of input on this from the admin staff.

It's now clear, and been stated by many people

The trust system, say's right within it. Very clearly.
Quote
Negative - You were scammed or you strongly believe that this person is a scammer.

Why are comments such as

Quote
Spreads FUD - calls me a liar, and a fool. I've caught him in lies at least 3 separate times now. I tried to be the nice guy and remove negative feedback, he retaliated by opening three threads on me and spamming me with PMs. THEN he added negative trust against me.

Before you consider doing any business with this fool, consider he is hot headed and acts without thought. Add to the fact he has no problem lying, and come to the conclusion he should not be dealt with.
Within the trust system accurate, I've proven that entire statement is full of lies.

Or such as this
Quote
Constantly posts lies about me in an effort to have me removed from the default trust list. Honest discussion is one thing, but he just posts BS with absolutely no basis.

Not trustworthy.

Being allowed over and over?

How do any of those statements conform to the rules set out by the board

Quote

Not trustworthy.

Maybe a clear response or post from the admin team, as to why or how the trust system is to be used would cut down a lot of this.
Or frankly make it stop.

EDIT:
All of my previous threads have been locked.
Frankly I don't want or care for community input.
I'd like answers from the staff.
If there is no standard for the trust system. I'd like to know this, so I can stop believing what it say's and others can be aware it holds no real backing.
If there are standard's, such as what it says when you click on negative. Than they should be enforced.

EDIT2:
Can I ask you why are you opening a thread for every problem ?  Please....

That was already stated and deleted
As was my requesting this for admin use only.

Every time I've gone off the topic, even in my own threads, to ask another question, my post has been removed.

EDIT3:
I do NOT want my own posts deleted off of my own threads, I'm pretty decent at deciding what my OWN topic is and sticking to it.

Well honestly, a lot of what VOD has claimed has been disproved, or when he's been asked to back up his feedback statements. He simply hasn't. or he falls on making fun of you, insulting you, picking on your grammer etc.
He has never actually given proof for the feed back he has left.

So If someones a huge LIAR, than sure, leave feedback, but prove it.

So although I believe the system doesn't need the rules, but when Lie's are posted what can be done?

Do I honestly need to message the three members that have trusted him. To catch their attention?

Event he feedback he has left now is a lie. And I'm a Liar? lol.

Prove it! Where? the postal code thing was your misunderstanding what I said, So if your simply going of where I said your response to me was you yelling or laughing. maybe that's because a single one line response such as the following, pisses people off.

You're an idiot.  I haven't been online all day - been babysitting.

I had the three threads AND All the pm's sent, before you were done babysitting. And long before you left my a neutral instead of negative. So there's his Lie number 2 in my rating post.

Quote
THEN he added negative trust against me.
That was already there. I removed it before going to bed, then replaced it once I saw you left a Negatively written neutral comment still calling me a liar.

Quote
consider he is hot headed and acts without thought.
Hot headed, Okay. I'm pissed. Acts without thought? No, I had a pretty sound reason for being pissed.

Quote
Add to the fact he has no problem lying
Screen shots of all the open and easy lieing I've done?

As for my deleted posts, I definitely felt they were unwarranted, as many were within my own thread, or in threads that were already covering multiple topics.

.EXE FILE POSSIBLE MALWARE.  DO NOT DOWNLOAD.

OMG, THIS right here proves how much of a pure dickhead you are.

Read the f*cking post. Holy Crap!

A lot of people are as gullible as you, and believe whatever they read.

I am trying to protect those people from getting scammed.   Move on.

So that Justifies a negative trust rating? When he is ASKING for it to be checked?
