341  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: GekkoScience is now dabbling with 16nm ASICs for new designs on: December 19, 2016, 02:10:53 AM
Sidehack, the 4TH boards, what will these use from the old hardware? Mounting case and heat sinks?
I'm just wondering if these boards could be mounted easily in any casing, 4U rack maybe, or PC tower with lots of fans etc. How hard heasinks will b to find
342  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Chinese police raid miner factories in its oil capital city, 1k+ miners seized on: December 19, 2016, 02:08:29 AM
Any shady cloud mining sites go down recently? lol
343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner]- Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 5000 miners on: December 18, 2016, 10:58:39 PM
Cool software, te tiered pricing scheme is pretty frigin aggressive, Really no way to get all the features without dropping $200?

This is pretty much the reason photoshop and other software is pirated so damn heavily.
All for supporting, but even buying the cheaper version to handle a small number of miners, the software is gutted.

Very sad to see Sad

Edit: and you don't accept crypto payments??? Sad
344  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Im looking to buy bitcoins with PayPal on: December 18, 2016, 09:52:04 PM

I wonder if these boards will be able to be installed into a 4U server case etc.. I realize you would need to source heat sinks, but nothing else would really be needed would it?
348  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: EBang 14nm 6.3T (140W/T) BTC Miner for sale soon on: December 18, 2016, 05:33:14 PM

350  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where profitable mining with GPU or Cloud Mining? on: December 18, 2016, 04:55:48 PM
I do not see any cloud mining being profitable,
You would be better off holding the Bitcoin and watching it climb compared to the minimal profit you MAY make.

Any site promising a XX return, is full of crap, as this can't be done.
Suddenly 10,000 bitmain S9+ or something pop up and any of the mining estimates go out the window. etc.

Too many variables.
351  Other / Meta / Re: Image Proxy on: December 18, 2016, 04:51:14 PM
Images must be less than 1.5MB. Resize or compress your image.

Okay I understand what you are saying about resizing my image. BUT Considering how many pictures I have on here. THAT will be a pain in the ASS. Just a thought but couldn't you make it an option?

Consider how much of a pain it is to hit a thread on mobile that wants to load 1.5MB images, or multiple images this size. 20 images like that in a thread is more data to download than Windows 95 installation from CD. Allowing images that size is generous.

This image is 350kB, do you really need more?:

Wow. It was just exemplary image but I found it very informative and educational. Thanks. Too bad there are no kappabytes Cheesy

Yes I've saved this image as well, I like it Smiley
352  Other / Meta / Re: Q: Should Lauda *really* be a moderator of bitcointalk A: no on: December 18, 2016, 04:47:54 PM
Is this thread still a thing?
Everyone has issues with mods.
I've moderated and been head admin of a few large forums and facebook groups (nowhere near this size..)
And regardless of what you do, people hate you.

Move on with life and try to stay out of their radar.

Also, I know believe Lauda is a girl and shall continue this belief.
353  Other / Meta / Re: Legendary one day? on: December 18, 2016, 04:44:50 PM
Cool thread, I was wondering what it took Smiley
I'm a ways away haha but good to know Wink
354  Other / New forum software / Reply for the trust system? on: December 18, 2016, 04:40:53 PM
If we are keeping the current rep system, which mostly works... although the default trust list is a bit of a thorn in many peoples sides..

I'd like to see a reply section added, for example if someone left Neg rep simply because you hit them. A way to respond with details/link would be cool.
Rather then having to explain the negatives.

I realize everyone will then respond, even the bullshitters trying to cover their ass, but we all know the system has it's issues, this may be a step to help?
355  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Buying GIFT CARDS on: December 18, 2016, 04:35:13 PM
Carlosiness PM me to buy my Netflix giftcard@$40 and when I suggested to use escrow (fees on me) he never reply back, Better to stay away from this user unless he/she agreed to use escrow

Maybe or maybe I got an account by my self?

Or maybe you just a scammer who bought an account and are scamming?
356  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [H] Bitcoin [W] PayPal or PSN (3 months subscription code) on: December 18, 2016, 04:34:29 PM
I have gift cards. Check my thread.

Not willing to push this just yet, but this guy I'm starting to think is a scammer, so be careful and use escrow with him!
357  Other / Archival / Re: Pictures of your mining rigs! on: December 18, 2016, 04:16:12 PM
Clipped image for your convenience

S9 plumed into home heating.
S3 for ambient room heat.
Interesting setup you got there- I like how you're using the heat from the S9 and S3 for heating. Lowers bills just a tiny bit but every bit helps. I'm guessing there's stuff below the miners so you suspended them, but I'm pretty surprised that you're still using S3s. I sold mine for S5s a while back as a small upgrade.

I have straight Electric heat here
and it costs us about 5 cents USD per KW.
So the S9 is essentially replacing a fraction of what the furnace would burn. It's -47 with wind chill here right now, so I consider the power it's burning as free, I'd be using it anyway lol

Only one of the S3s is running. Yes they are poor effeciency, but all I have. It was more of a matter of using the two left over PCI-E lines and getting a little ambient air.
We run an electric fireplace in the basement when we are down there to take the chill out.
So again the power the S3 uses is essentially free.

As for the suspended setup.
Yes I have a Freezer bellow it, and using a shelving unit for so little, seemed like a waste of space to me.
This allowed me to get it into a more solid location, and it looks cool Smiley

359  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon A7 announced on: December 18, 2016, 02:50:50 AM
I REALLY REALLY love the controller option
Spondoolie had it as well.
I wish bitmain would get off their ass and do the same.
One IP/Control panel for multiple miners would be a heck of a lot nicer than having 12 tabs open lol
360  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: INVEST $10 & Get A Return Of $1000/Month (Raising $10K Investment) on: December 18, 2016, 02:45:57 AM

I have $10,000 to invest op!
I just need you to send me $350 to cover my transfer costs first, then it's all yours.!! 1k a month for life! Can't wait!
