701  Economy / Goods / Re: Someone who can Print custom fake money? on: February 26, 2015, 04:57:56 PM
Not sure if its been suggested but you could fill a briefcase with newspapers and then just put a top layer of bank notes on top for the photo kind of like that cricket dude did.

Was also what I was thinking, looking at cost options as I may give some of the funny money away at the end of the game Smiley
Will be based on cost. I could in theory print and cut my own, but someone with the ability to print and stamp faster, is sometimes worth the extra cost.

As for th eother options, Escrow for sure if your not known to me. I'm fine with that, would want standard USPS or Canada post shipping Smiley
702  Economy / Goods / Re: Someone who can Print custom fake money? on: February 26, 2015, 04:43:07 PM
You guys have some pretty wild imaginations.  Lol

I own an atm, u also own an airsoft field and business, to which realistic props are key.
I don't need the fancy paper, regular paper is fine honestly.  If your that concerned I'm going to wrap the money in real bills (because lots of people would trade for a briefcase and only look at the top bills lol)
Than I'm fine with the size being slightly off.

And I'm contemplating buying the fake notes, but something which is marketed for the fields name Is even better.

I'm also looking at buying a bunch of them fake gold bars for the same reason. But I think getting them custom stamped.would be to high of an investment.

Quickseller, please.stop just assuming we are all thieves.
703  Economy / Goods / Someone who can Print custom fake money? on: February 25, 2015, 10:26:27 PM
Looking for some fake money for a prop, would like Canadian colors and sizing. With custom wording and image on it.

Not looking for actual fake money Smiley But something that can look the part as a stack from a distance. But advertise the game on close inspection.

Likely wanting enough to fill small brief case, if you can wrap it etc. even better.
704  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS: Spondoolies SP20E x8 - $410 shipped on: February 25, 2015, 10:19:31 PM
you are looking for $410 for all of them?

How many in total?

shipping from where?

Fairly certain he means each, lol

Internation shipping even into Canada on these would be pricey. But worth it.

I'd be temped tot ake two in Canada Smiley
705  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: February 25, 2015, 10:02:41 PM
Its getting very expensive because of a monopoly of the technology, or lack or competition, or monopolizing the the industry because of trade secrets and cost of development, to mine a speculative crypto currency.

Because the people developing the miners, are realizing it's easier and more profitable to deal with big farms, or simply mine for themselves, than to deal with every whiney ass customer with a complaint.

If spondoolie is smart, they release bulk sales only, and allow only authorized dealers to resell, let them deal with the people. Let spon spend their time on new tech!
706  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 25, 2015, 01:25:51 AM
just received my first SP20 and install it.
... my petition to tech service...
- change version firmware history
- guide "howto" for advanced overclocking (something like what values to modify)
- which is newer firmware 2.6.14 or 2.6.7 ?   how beta are the test versions ?
- a guide to explain what the principal error can happen and what can mean the messages

thanks

I upgraded 3 of mine
now the other three are not giving me the option to auto update?
Love the ability to make my fans lower.

Now time to upgrade my miner. Io or give up an app to monitor these easily.

Hash, and Temps!
707  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: IBM 2880W PSU Breakout Boards - 80+ Platinum power on: February 24, 2015, 05:56:15 PM
Maybe I'm missing something, whya re you double the price as the official reseller?

Quote
Anybody interested, please tell me the quantity needed and country to ship.

Pricing will be as follow for all models, excluding shipping

Standard board

1-9 boards = 28$
10+ boards = 25$
60+ boards (group buy) =21$

XL board

1-9 boards = 35$
10+ boards = 32$
60+ boards (group buy) =28$

I know your local, but that's a lot of extra coin for faster shipping?

Are you Canadian based?

He isn't doubling the price, those prices are only for my classic boards (Common Slot, HP DL580G3 and DPS2000-BB)
The pricing for the 2880w boards can be found here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=893159.0

He is reselling at the exact same price you'd get from me, but you will have faster and cheaper delivery.

I figured I was missing something. Thanks for clarifying

And as mining gear becomes cheaper to manufacture and operate, bitcoin prices will continue to fall.
...
Care to explain ?

I fail to see how lower $/GHs (and J/GH) affects the Bitcoin price.

I do agree that miners causes a downward pressure on the price to pay electricity bills.

cheaper hardware doesnt mean lower btc, just more hardware lol

Higher difficulty.

It's a balancing act.

Cheaper hw, higher difficulty, means same hw amount, it will balance, and price is only tied to hardware for so long.
709  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CaVirtex in Canada. Did they get hacked? Closing operations? on: February 24, 2015, 05:23:43 AM
Quadriga has been great, virtex has sucked for a long time, saw this coming, if you didn't you have your head buried.

That being said, I keep little coin on exchanges, and am verified on as many as possible.
710  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Official CaVirtex.com Thread on: February 24, 2015, 05:20:00 AM
Sorry to hear that you shut down your website. My Canadian friends was using it since its opening. Now they have to switch other untrusted exchanges.

? Why is virtex trusted? they scammed people on here, never paid investors, never updated or maintained their site.

Quadriga has been solid.

The new cointrader is giving away everything free to pull people in, unsure if that's good or poor business attempts to make zero profit.

very interested in the 2880 and the break out boards.

When will you have these? I'd like 5 in Canada Cheesy
714  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: SP20 Fw upgrade, miners offline? on: February 24, 2015, 02:53:35 AM
So I have 6, upgraded 2, and they went down, never came back up, they are running. Not connected to my pool, and not reachable from myminer.io

Has anyone else done the suggested upgrade?

Sadly I'm on my way to work, GRR so I'll be offline on two miners for ten hours!

Suggestions on what to try/do when I get home?

Power never cycled, and they did the reboot countdown properly.

I have 36 sp20 in my home and i got same problem when one of them restarted (Not often).
Sometime, sp20 can not get the ip address from router(tp-link,DHCP). Moreover, myminer.io doesn't work properly to display up-to-date sp20's ip address. (I need go in router and check which ip address is allocated to SP20).
Reboot the router and miner (just the one never came back) may help.

I got them back, took a few reboots and shut downs.

I disabled DHCP for that reason, Set my ip's. but yeah I wish myminer.io gave better details.

717  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 22, 2015, 09:08:58 PM
You make it sound like it will be a 7 foot 60kw tower :p

While the average person might have 100 amp service and could maybe spare half of that,  some others may have 200 amp service, half of that is about 24kw at 100% load.
12U, 16kw, 10 replaceable hashing boards.

I could rock that at home or in my garage, lol.
Than again I'm an electrician with 200amp home service... Wink

Pricing yet? preorders? ETA Cheesy

718  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 22, 2015, 06:54:51 PM
I dont think it is a matter of IF the demand for a home miner is there... I definitely think it is... but rather at what price point is the right amount of demand available.

Although some complained about the SP20 being at $479 I think that the build quality and support behind the product justified the price... even more so against your closest less expensive direct competitor, the S5.

Keep up the good work SP. I am sure whatever you make will sell. You guys have built a good name behind yourselves.

Thanks  Smiley

Depends if they find the extra bit of profit is worth dealling with all the stupid customers, lol
I would think that as long as the word "profit" is in the answer to the equation, they will come up with something ...
SP20's started at $1,190.00 USD and sold out at $479.00 ... they were still making "profit" at $479.00

No, we didn't.

Lol, well usually last item clear outs lose profit. That being said, I would hope enough was made off the initial run that it covered the bit of loss you took on the last few.

I'm so happy with these guys, My only complain is I was the myminer.io page gave some stats, like Hash and temps. So I don't need to check half a dozen tabs Cheesy lol

I'm ready to preorder your next one!
De me a favor, use the 2000bb Power supplies and ship without Cheesy I have a crap load of them sitting around Wink

720  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] - Toronto/Montreal - Spondoolies-Tech SP31 units, shipped from colocation on: February 22, 2015, 03:44:51 PM
You should try to sell these on eBay. You should get a pretty good price for them there.

I hate ebay. The 10% fees, the paypal, and the often-terrible-to-implement shipping rules. Last time i sold something on ebay i got shafted of >$20 because of a mistake in the shipping rules

that said, its an option. But ive got a lot of interest just below the current asking prices so I am pretty confident ill have a deal hammered out this week.

In Canada I'd likely save 600-700 on these, what would shipping a single unit to winnipeg cost? Or maybe three, I'll talk to my partners.
