While the rig setup is impressive, even more striking is that your GF is interested in working on this! That to me is probably the most valuable thing you have going for you.....  Smiley

Whats more impressive is the angles she is able to work at!

HOWEVER - I think it goes without saying that when you buy a miner from Bitmain or any miner manufacturer - they are first used to mine then sold as they roll in their newest generation miners for themselves. Their business model depends on that.

This is not true of every manufacturer. I've seen no evidence of Spondoolies-Tech pre-mining with the equipment they sell. If you check their thread I'm pretty sure there is no mention of dusty fans or cases full of dust. Perhaps its a first, I too had some bitmain kit with dusty fans. Also a couple of Dragon miners with dusty fans.

Also the Oct/Nov KNC Jupiters I purchased new were not pre-mined on either.

1165  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: February 07, 2015, 11:48:49 PM

..

not sure - theres no obvious reason for it to not push itself higher. Your start and max voltages are quite spread apart though, so it could take several hours to actually ramp up very slowly. It looks like your system uptime is only 1hr

try bumping your start voltage to 700mv - if it does down from there, its a sign of problem. if it stays there or barely rises, the system is likely very slow to adjust upward to nominal speed

OK, I'll try.. how much time it takes for the system to stabilize.. I never mined with ASICs before Wink

Are you on 110V?

How about saving that wooden background jpg as a 55% quality, you won't notice the difference esthetically but your customers will notice the website speedup Smiley

Before: black-background_00313351.jpg 2,203 KB
After: black-background_00313351.jpg 257KB

Could probably go lower than 55% jpg but I'll leave that to you.

i think it is very difficult to get SPondoolies ship the miner to china, the shipment fee will be very expensive, also is it cheaper than s5?
I'd have a chat with spondoolies, the mini farms of 15x SP20's come with free shipping, and I'm sure they'll negotiate further discounts for larger quantities.

Might be an import duty cost thing. I can't place it but I have heard before that its been difficult in the past to get stuff from Israel to China.

However this is probably going to change or has changed this year: http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/189322#.VNDdx2isV8E

No worries mate, your choice of course.

Just wanted to add thanks for doing this. Takes some guts and you don't deserve the flak you got because of it. Hope it doesn't put you off contributing in the future.

I think it was good worthwhile survey and was glad to help out in my small way Smiley

My experience with surveys is that you can never please everyone.

My suggestion for a donation address would perhaps be to give 0.5 BTC to ckolivas for cgminers continuing development, the rest, I'm a bit of a fan of EFF https://supporters.eff.org/donate

But it's Phils baby and  I bow to his decision Smiley

Hello, I am spinning up my sp20's and im running into a problem with the Username to the pool.. I use slushs pool, and I have knc miners working fine using my user.worker username, but the sp20's must be reporting something different cause for the sp20s the pool is dropping all the sp20's into there user.[auto] worker..

I double and triple checked the worker names on both pool and user.worker name on the spondoolies no spaces ect..

Please help.

Thanks
chicagoleo

Have you registered your workers with slush?  I use it as a backup on my farm without issue on sp20s

I double and triple checked the worker names on both pool and user.worker name on the spondoolies no spaces ect..

I don't think he would be able to check the worker names on the pool if he hadn't registered them.

chicagoleo are you on the old pool or the new one?

I was paid a number of times yesterday, building up some now but overall it's been reasonable...

Thanks I see the pool has found 4 blocks the last 2 days so that should help.
