1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some people stop their crypto project? on: October 26, 2020, 12:25:55 AM

Teams sometimes are doing it strategically. Sometimes it needs timing to update the community about the development. If the price somehow looks bad already the team will release a report to show they are not leaving the project.

And sometimes the ya re just waiting for the bulls to come. There are proejcts that I almost forgot already but last week I saw some of their twitter profiles are tweeting. And just in time the price also of BTC break the $12k.
Because even if the team is well organized and intelligent in what they are doing, still they cannot manipulative their own success because the success is based on their platform itself if there are low counts of investors that are supporting their project, the probability of failing is high. But if there's a lot of investors really support them because their project is promising, I can say that they can continue their project until it succeeds.
1162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people avoid bitcoin? on: October 25, 2020, 10:56:56 PM
Because the majority of the world's population is less knowledgeable about Bitcoin, and many Bitcoin hater are spreading misleading news.
As mentioned, Bitcoin is widely used for money laundering, terrorist financing and other illegal activities. This makes many people avoid Bitcoin,
even in my country Bitcoin trading is called a gambling game. All the misleading information that was spread was indeed made by the government
to drop Bitcoin in my opinion, because the government is afraid that one day Bitcoin can replace fiat.
Aside from that, there are projects involving bitcoin that are absolutely plan to scam other people. And when that happens they think that bitcoin is also a scam, which is actually not true. We all know that here, so we are trying to do or make the community clean and organized so that if there's a project that scams people, we can avoid that and we can spread information about that to protect the image of the bitcoin itself.
1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ICO WhitePaper Matter Most? on: September 24, 2020, 07:38:42 PM
Obviously, white paper is not the ultimate honest description of one project.
However, it can give you good sense of what one project is about, especially if we're talking about developed, working project.
Its not as representative for really young projects, because you can't test their statements on practice and can't track them with reviews of other users' experience.
Basically, same applies to road map of a project - you can track actual results of working project, can't do it with new ones.

Nowadays it is very difficult for us to be able to distinguish between which is the original ICO project and which is a fake ICO project because between the two currently have similarities that even almost reach 99.99% both regarding roadmaps, white papers, websites and even team members most of them have fake identities / fake photos, and that is why currently ICO projects are starting to be abandoned and of course we also have to be careful if we want to invest in an ICO project if we don't want to lose money

There are actually some ICO projects that have a good whitepaper and website also. But that is not the real thing that you should consider when joining a project because as of now, even how good their website and whitepaper is, there is still some projects that are failing because there are reasons that they cannot reach the target on the sale to be exact. You should be focusing on their capabilities by checking how good this project for everyone not only in the market but the use of their website and hoe good iis their mission and vision.
1164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for salary on: September 24, 2020, 06:54:21 PM
I think the government will interfere with that due to the tax matter. Also I think it would be unfair for the employee if they receive a bitcoin then the price drops because of the volatility of the market also it depends on the country whether the cryptocurrency is legal on a certain country.
Absolutely, that can actually happen if you convert your bitcoin to fiat and then you will cash out that money through banks especially local banks. They might give us taxes while withdrawing that money. But actually as of now in my country it doesn't have taxes to give when you are withdrawing because there are lots of ways to prevent payment when you cash out.

1166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why most people think Bitcoin is a scam? on: August 15, 2020, 08:40:26 PM
Bitcoin has been around for 11 years now, with a large ecosystem of exchanges, wallet providers, and apps behind it. There are now many governments recognizing it as legitimate, bringing a large number of investors into it. For just a short amount of time since its inception, I'd say that Bitcoin has achieved extraordinary results. While all of this sounds good, most people still seem to believe that Bitcoin is a scam or not worth their time. For instance, Warren Buffet criticizes Bitcoin telling that it'll become "worthless" over time. It's these negative comments, which make people skeptical about using Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as serious money for day-to-day payments.

No matter how crypto enthusiasts try to convince people to believe that Bitcoin is legitimate, everything seems to be the same. I'm starting to wonder why most people have this kind of mentality towards Bitcoin? After all, the pioneer cryptocurrency is being traded at legitimate exchanges. Even some governments have been collecting taxes from Bitcoin. But that hasn't changed people's minds about it. What are your thoughts? Huh

We can't deny the fact that despite passing lots of tests of time, there are still people who think of it as a scam. I think one of the main reasons why there are people who don't trust Bitcoin is because most fraudsters and scammers have ruined its reputation before. Lack of knowledge and understanding about its features and advantages is also a reason for them to think of it as a scam. Bitcoin can please everyone but lucky are those who trust and believe in it.
Yeah that is the truth thing we can't get out of their minds. It is mainly because of the worthless scammers who are actually taking advantages of people who don't still know what bitcoin or cryptocurrency really is. There are some people that are starting and using their own money to try invest here but for some reasons they are being scammed maybe because their knowledge on cryptocurrency or making transaction is not enough. After getting scammed the only thing that comes into their mind is that bitcoin is a scam which is not true, and we all know that. It is all because of the scammers and other people who don't really know what cryptocurrency is.
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never give up on: August 14, 2020, 08:11:42 PM
You should see for yourself that the current situation of the cryptoqurrency market has undergone significant changes, especially in the price of BTC and the price of ETH, apart from the half of bitcoin being reduced there are even new trends such as DEFI and ETH. 2.0 which will be released soon. I am waiting for this arrival, if this really happens then it could affect the Coin price too, it could even be higher than the current price.
Indeed, as we can see as of now, DeFi projects are becoming famous and lots of people are really investing their money with these projects and we can really see the progress of every projects like that if you check every DeFi projects right now, you can see that there are some promising projects that are growing fast in a presale stage.
1168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Importance of Bitcoin during the Pandemic on: August 13, 2020, 05:28:05 PM
maybe your intentions are good,, so that people avoid the covid-19 attack. However, in my opinion, the use of bitcoin as an alternative to online payments is less effective, because it seems that in every country including mine, many electronic money services have been widely used for various payment needs during this pandemic.
for people who already understand the cryptocurrency system, it is possible to make bitcoin a job like trading or even for investment. But you have to realize, not everyone has this expertise, even there are still many people who are not familiar with bitcoin.
Absolutely, we can say that during this pandemic cryptocurrency especially bitcoin is being recognized by many people because of its use which is for payment, making transaction online that we don't need physical contact to other people which is very important in a crisis like this because we still need to be careful since the vaccine is still not created. It is convenient for them to use bitcoin as payment methid but we all know here that it is not only for payments, we can use it to invest or trade to earn more money but they need a lot of knowledge for them to make money with trading or investing. Despite of being famous all around the world, there are still people who don't know bitcoin exist and the people that are thinking that bitcoin is a scam.

1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Compare Withdrawal Fees before you trade on a Exchange on: August 12, 2020, 04:24:06 AM
There are many important things to choose an exchange. We should notice about withdraw fee and trading fee but it is not the most important thing. My first prioritization to choose crypto exchange is it must be a reputation one with high liquidity

Withdrawal fees maybe one consideration but should not be the topmost priority as there are some small exchanges charging low fees but you don't know how long they will process your transaction. Also, the liquidity is usually low so it would take days maybe before you complete your trading. So which one would you choose, you have assurance that you will get your money back in the time frame you are expecting it or pay for lower fees but no assurance when will get your coins back?
Indeed, we should not always compare the withdrawal fees like that. Sometimes it is correct that there are some exchanges that offers lower fees to make your transaction but not all of them are good at processing your transaction because some exchanges are offering low fees but they are delaying in making transaction. So it depends. Just choose on what makes your transaction convenient and safe.
1171  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need bitcoin? on: August 11, 2020, 01:20:49 AM
the moment the governments of the world figure out an easier way to transfer LEGAL funds in between borders, that day the world will not need bitcoin FOR ME, as in my own experience, that's what I've used bitcoin for ever since I discovered it, to transfer funds to and from different countries for low fees.

Hiding is a nice plus, I see why some people see the appeal to it, but to imply that it's the main driver is a short sighted, kind of ignorant position to take when talking about bitcoin. If you made your way into this forum, bother a bit about learning the ins and outs of bitcoins, even if just generally, and you'll see how much MORE bitcoin is than "hiding taxes/criminal activity from the government!"
That is a good point but probably the best selling point for bitcoin is your ability to be your own bank and to be able to transact and send money all over the world without the need of a third party allowing your transaction to go through, this is revolutionary and this is why bitcoin is described often as digital cash because when you are using cash you do not really need the permission of anyone to spend it in whatever you want and that gives you unlimited freedom to do whatever you want with your money.
As you have said, we can transact it is either we send or receive bitcoin all around the world. As we can see today, we are facing crisis because of the pandemic. So using bitcoin as a payment method when buying something or making transaction is way convinient and safer than going outside and make transaction with banks. I can say that bitcoin is created to make our life easier in different ways. You can make transaction wherever you are and you can send or receive bitcoin all around the world using only internet and your device.

1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would make you stop gambling? on: February 13, 2020, 03:46:21 PM
Losing all your money is one compelling reason to stop. Gambling on debt would only make your problems worse. Having zeroed out would push you to rethink your decisions and might set you to another hobby as you say, and just change yourself, or accept your fate. Nonetheless, you should avoid going to that point and always self-control your gambling habits as you possibky could.
Most people definitely stop on gambling after a very devastating loss. But the point of this topic is to find ways that would help you avoid that point of no return. We want to pull the weeds out before it grows. That being said, I think the best alternative is to keep yourself active. Do other things besides gambling like business. If you let gambling take your lifestyle, it's going to eat up on you in the process. Leaving you like an empty husk once everything is already done.
Gambling is a risky game wherein your money is involved. The probability of winning or losing with this is 50/50 but it actually depends on how you play the particular game, it depends if you are good at it. It actually depends on a person if he will learn for that particular loss or he will still play even if he is losing money. Because there are still people who are eager to win and to earn money. If you have self control maybe you can do that easily.
I would stop gambling if I have other important things to do and if I find something that would take out my mind on gambling.
But right now I don't think that there would be something that would really keep me out of gambling.
I would also stop if I think that it is already affecting my personality if I am being violent or something because of it.
This is one of the ways you can do when you already want to stop gambling but you can help it. Try to convert your interest into a different one so that your time and money spends for a good.
1175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My funds have been stolen! on: February 10, 2020, 05:52:44 AM
Hello,
I have a crisis! I have withdrawn (for the seventh time) to my BTC wallet.
After posting the funds (and obtaining two confirmations) - there was an outgoing transaction that was not authorized by me !! The transaction was released twenty minutes after the first confirmation - to some fresh address with no transaction history and is an RBF transaction. It's exactly a transaction at 0.4BTC.
My BTC address from which the funds were stolen: 1CCEQxuUkb6RKQM4TDYbQemBVs2ihe45ps
Address to which funds were sent:
3DTjnTxjPnePfvg3haTyUQQeFK2riuZ1Fr
Unauthorized transaction ID: 2f79dda8aea3f06400be07f04f65b6045ba2e0235efa0bba0f6d9d6375da421c

The transaction is marked as RBF!
I use client Electrum 3.3.8
There is no option for someone to steal a private key from your computer because I watch security all the time!

Is it going to somehow stop the flow of funds or recover them?
I am desperate because these funds were supposed to be for my mother's health.

Sorry for losing your funds to scammers. But unfortunately, nothing can be done about it again because the transaction has recorded some confirmations. Did you ever tried your private key on any DeX exchange? Or does anyone have access to it? On daily basis these hackers devise new techniques to hacking it's high time we stopped feeding.
1. Dont ever store your funds in an exchange.
2. Store your funds in secured wallets with extra 2FA
3. Do not share your private key with a second party and lots more. Its every ones responsibility to keep ones funds safe. Not your keys, not your bitcoin.
For those who have stolen funds, there is nothing you can do to regain it but there is something that you could change. You should find the lesson after you lose your money, you shouls now focus on protecting your funds. I'm using online bitcoin wallet and also a hardware wallet but most of my funds are in hardware wallet. I do not also store my funds in an exchange because it is risky due to the vulnerability to the hackers.
Absolutely, there is nothing you can do if your money is being stolen here. We are in a digital world and we are earning and using digital money, one single mistake, you can lose all of your money. That is why we should study and think twice before making any decisions. You should be well informed before investing or buying tokens for you to secure your money, so that you can reach your goal being involved with crypto and that is to earn money.

In my opinion, your bitcoin's amount have been stolen because  your private key was not secured well and unfortunately, you have nothing to do, it is impossible to recover your funds. Accept this loss and deal with it, complaining and crying will change nothing, try to find  a way to earn BTC, there are many opportunities, just use your mind smartly. Remember that security is essential in order to make your wallet safe without it  you will get stolen again.
This might help. Try to secure important information that includes your wallet information. And do not share that information to anyone. Do not trust anybody. There are actually lots of ways to secure your account. That should be a lesson to you that you should be careful in every move or decision you make.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market moves in like a mystery! on: February 07, 2020, 06:59:02 PM
Crypto-market has been showing signs of recovery recently .The market has been low since 2018 with little improvement in 2019 and I think the rise of the market is mostly due to organic gains which we all hope that it will continue through out this year.Maybe we will be able to see increase in prices of altcoins soon hopefully.
Definitely, we can see the changes of the market as of now since it begun to fall down last two years ago. We are all hoping that the market will have full recovery gaining back its wealth like before so that the investors and bounty hunter will earn bulks of money again. And also the projects that are coming will become succesful.
Though some people are refer to as expert but as far as am concern, cryptocurrency is unpredictable. In crypto anything can happen so it is difficult to understand the movement of prices.
Cryptocurrency is indeed unpreditable because of its nature which is its volatility in terms of value. We all know that prices are volatile and it is changing time by time that is why it is hard to predict when bull run's gonna happen again. We are hoping that this year is a great year after halving. We are looking forward to the result of bitcoin halving as of now.
1177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing 1$ every day in bitcoin over the last five years on: February 05, 2020, 05:33:14 PM
This is a very impressive thing if we just do it a long time ago, but for some reason many of us never thought of doing it.
If you are an active bounty hunter, you can also copy the same thing to save your income from the bounty campaign in bitcoin every time you get your reward.
Indeed, just imagine how much money you have invest doing that stuff for the last five years? We can say that $1 is such a small money for us but if we think that doing that every day or every week for the last five years is an awesome one. Since we all know that bitcoin or cryptocurency to be exact is a good investment.

This requires discipline never to sell when there is a huge temptation to either sell for profit or swing trade. It's never going to be easy and it can be done and never too late. For someone who has a stable source of income can just pull out $30 every month for the investment plan and can even pay 6months up-front to avoid the many transaction fees and never to forget to daily buy bitcoin.

Definitely, I don't actually think doing a thing like this before since I can earn in my own way but if I do, I think I got a lot of money right now. Being involved with bitcoin is a great idea especially when you are investing.

1179  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Newbie to Full Member ranks] Merit Spree for the future of Phil Local Members on: February 02, 2020, 05:43:41 PM
I am here on this forum because of my classmates who actually told me everything about cryptocurrency. It happened last 2017 in our school when they are talking about bitcoin on how good it is and how are they earning money without making themselves deposit even an ounce. At first, when I hear about that, I don't really believe that because how are you gonna earn if you don't have any capital but when they taught me how to earn, how to create my own account and to do what is right, I mean the rules so that I can last long doing that stuff. They taught me how to join a particular signature campaign wherein they told me that I should promote that project by wearing their signature by doing a quality post in this forum. That year was really awesome because almost all of the projects I have joined becomes successful and I can say to myself that being involved in this kind of forum is such a blessing and a good opportunity because I can earn money which I don't believe at first.

But suddenly, when the market falls and some projects are failing to continue and bulks of tasks and requirements to do in our school. I somehow stopped doing my thing and I gave my attention and focus to my studies but still, I am checking my account every week so that I am informed and updated what is happening on the forum.

What I learned on the forum that I can share is that:
1. We should be aware of everything we are doing here. As a user, we should be aware of making decisions because as of now there are lots of scammers and we don't want bad things to happen especially when our own money and account are involved.
2. We must help each other with all of our hearts. As a member of this community, we must support each other and do not bring others down so that we can all rise to the top and reach our personal goals.
3. We must follow the rules. As a user, we must follow forum rules so that we can still use our account. There are lots of rules but it is easy to follow such us doing a quality post, avoid scamming other people, and etc.

1180  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: could it be most project don't succeed? on: February 02, 2020, 05:21:01 PM

my Questions

Is there no other ways BTT can track and trace such people posting such project in the forum?
Is there no way we can run free and fair project in the system without us being scammed or tricked?

With regards to your questions, Bitcointalk forum can keep on track and be aware for existing scam projects if the members of the forum like us will be reporting such malicious projects on which we suspect to be operating just to scam people all throughout this forum. It will be hard for the moderators to keep on track with all the projects being posted in this forum because scam projects are most likely promising and really looks like legible to the eyes which makes it hard to identify. Due to lots of existing projects being posted every now and then, it will be hard to keep on track with it because moderators are still people who works on a limited time frame so if we do want to create a safe work space for the sake of all of us not to get scammed, we must work all together to raise awareness about such projects that are suspected and proven scam to let other members know to avoid such projects so that we can lessen or totally have no victims. We can achieve such work space that is safe from scams once we all work together to prevent such projects to keep running into this forum.
Scam projects are everywhere and there is a kind of project that they are not intentionally scamming investors and participants, sadly, they may be experienced some difficulties that are why are failed to continue the project. There are projects that are intentionally scamming other people by giving some promising words and fruitful outcomes that may happen if they support that particular project. That is why we should be informative in every situation especially the information about the project you want to invest in. Have some background checks so that you can know if that particular project is trusted and can lend your money without any fear. You can actually the project if that is legit when you read its whitepaper wherein almost all of the information is stated there, you can also check their websites so that you can know who are the developers and also you can check the roadmap of the particular project of what are their plan on the upcoming months or years.
