1181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remove the bad influencer from your life! on: February 11, 2020, 12:21:27 PM
Media attention always has both a good and bad impact on the crypto market. I could remember during the bitcoin pump few years back. There were alot of media news about crypto. yahoo new, dailymail, telegraph etc were not left behind. So many financial institution owners that see crypto as a competitor started creating attention and dragging the crypto down. Nobody was talking about the positive impact of crypto but always talking negativities. Even some third world country's governments were not left behind. I hope this time around those fuds will be more of blessing.
1182  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment Advice for year 2020 on: February 11, 2020, 12:15:09 PM
except you want to take high risk, I won't advise anyone to take any altcoin that is newly listed especially on some of the exchange platforms that have been tag not to be good. Almost 99.9% of any token being listed always trade below the token sales price without no assurance that the price will even return back to where it started from. There are still many altcoins such as ETH, BNB, EOS, XRP that have great prospect especially now that the bitcoin market seems to have risen. It is better to invest on these altcoin than considering investing in shitcoins that lack solid project backup.
1183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is Trending on China on: February 11, 2020, 06:01:25 AM
I do not think this is unusual. For the past few weeks now, bitcoin has always become a subject of mass discussion. This was also noticed few days ago on twitter when the emoji of bitcoin was introduced. I believe the same thing must have caused the trending in China. News such as price pump and dump always create a kind of media attention which resulted in a massive discussion. I do not know if you have heard about the bitcoin halving, This will be another thing that will create and generate massive media attention this year. I believe this is good for bitcoin because at least people get the chance of sharing their own thought on bitcoin again and again.
1184  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In the next decade, BTC and digital currencies will “fully” replace fiat? on: February 11, 2020, 05:51:31 AM
The use case is growing everyday. I read recently that blockchain technology implementation has been a global phenomenon now with the growth increasing every day. If this continue, probably digital currency might be given a good look and most importantly, we may soon see banks accepting cryptocurrency which to me might lead to regulation with tight centralization and this is what most crypto enthusiasts does not want.  All the same, such news going a long way to tell us to keep our head straight and keep trusting in crypto because something great will happen one day.
1185  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Dominance Going Down? on: February 11, 2020, 05:43:46 AM
I do not really understand what you mean by the dominance of bitcoin going down. If you mean it is not as popular as it was before then I think you may be right partially, probably because it is not gaining much-needed attention as it was in the media few years back and recently due to the twitter creating an emoji for bitcoin, it was trending on twitter. I think the hype is always initiated by the rise in price which in turn increases the bitcoin dominance. Even if bitcoin is not dominating, I still do not see any altcoin overtaking bitcoin in terms of dominance.
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Problem in trust or correction time? on: February 10, 2020, 04:05:16 PM
The investor's don't look for a long time gain. They cash on new coin that pump and dump so that they can see short term profit. Most times they are deceived to believing this is still possible especially now that hardly will you see any new coin being traded above their sales during the ICO. many of them are always traded with massive dumps without no hope of reaching the ICO price not to talk of rising above that. I believe most of the people that invest in old coin and token are those investors that have experience in crypto trading and are willing to wait for long term gain.
1187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Transactions on Smartwatches? on: February 10, 2020, 03:52:27 PM
I do not know if you have heard about a project called gymreward. They intend developing a wrist band that can monitor your heartbeat rate with the help of Bluetooth and mined a GYM token. This wristband can also serve as a wristwatch and will also be capable of receiving a different type of tokens. Unfortunately, the project could not even raise up to 5 ETH but the team has been running and developing the project using their own money. I think this is a fantastic idea and it one of the novel ideas that has not dominated the crypto project base compare to some other projects such as crypto banks and developing exchange platforms.
1188  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is better than your bank! on: February 10, 2020, 03:35:37 PM
You cannot achieve all the things you can achieve with fiat currency. This is because crypto has not been widely accepted for payment of most of the things you purchase using fiat currencies, especially for domestic uses. However, despite the fact that a lot of people are working towards making crypto a universal currency, there are still many that have stopped to accept it because of the volatility and which I think it is part of the drawback associated with the coin. Having a currency that you can use to pay for something abroad which cannot be achieved using fiat and local fiat dominated card due to government policies is one major obstacle that crypto has taken care of in many cases.
1189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ways To Distribute & Promote a New Coin on: February 10, 2020, 10:19:16 AM
It depends on your budget. If you want to target crypto traders and investors, you can launch affiliated marketing on crypto-related sites such as bitcointalk, etherscan, CMC, etc. Some exchange platform like Binance does not always consider a project that intends to get promotions through bounty on their launchpad. But there are some decent exchange platforms such as Probit and STEX that you can approach for IEO and I believe you can sell your token for traders. Livecoin is also good but I think they have stopped IEO for now.
1190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone still earning with bounties? on: February 10, 2020, 10:11:00 AM
It is very hard to predict bounties that will offer great reward. Throughout, last year, I hardly make $100 in all the projects that I participated in and got listed. Many of them turn to scam while some will lock the reward for hunters. Recently, one of the projects I participated got listed on an exchange and I was hoping to make at least $500 even if the price drop but to my surprise, the price dropped badly within a few hours of listing and all the token I have worth less than $5. It is better to participate in BTC paid services than taking part in bounties that will waste your time and energy.
1191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What the shit is happening in CMC? on: February 10, 2020, 09:58:17 AM
I think their requirement for categorizing exchange has to do with trading volume. However, we may not be able to blame them because most of those shit exchange work their way up by using bot to increase trading volume in order for them to rank up in the coinmarketcap exchange rating. The worst part of this that most new project dev consider CMC as a resourceful site and give them high priority in determining listing site but at the end of the day they do not get what they want.
1192  Economy / Economics / Re: Centralized exchanges have become the banks of the cryptocurrency world on: February 10, 2020, 01:31:04 AM
I somehow agree that centralized exchange already became bitcoin bank, because most of the users are now using those centralized exchanges and have been upload their details in order to verificate their account, we can't avoid using echange without verifivation because they will limit some features such a minimum withdrawing or even do a trade.
Anyway. It depends on your crypto asset value. A lot of people use centralized exchange without verification. It is only when you have tons of btc that you begin to feel bothered about verification and besides why would someone keep a lot of BTC on exchange account. It is not save. I still prefer to use Centralized exchange because many of the decentralized ones are a piece of shit. From etherdelta to mercatox to forkdelta. From my experience, it is always rigorous to use and i dont like to upload or enter my private key on any exchange.
1193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie in trading cryptocurrency and forex on: February 09, 2020, 11:49:44 AM
Since you want to trade, I suggest you first learn how to trade by familiarizing yourself with different trading techniques and options and the pros and cons involved in trading. There are many ebooks that provide a detail explanation about crypto trading. You can check some of the topics I created about some free cryptocurrency ebooks. I Know most people like you always want to go to coinmarketcap to get a list of exchange platforms but I will also warn you to be careful. Always seek for further help regarding any exchange platform you intend to trade.

1195  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My wish for bounty projects that seem impossible on: February 09, 2020, 09:08:51 AM
Have you ever think the reason why some projects being listed on Binance launchpad don't do bounty campaign. Even harmony that offers bounty campaign last year stop the campaign when Binance become involve. Many of this project dev sees bounty campaign as the easiest and cheapest way of getting their project promoted. They could have opt for affiliated promotion on the platform with large outreach but they will not do that because they are not going to spend the money. Have you realized that project devs are always very nice to hunters during their token sales but immediately sales ended you become their biggest enemy  Grin
1196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: To All Bounty hunters on: February 09, 2020, 08:59:03 AM
you are being deluded to think 2017 era will come again in 2020 for bounty hunters. Even if there are bull runs, I do not think people will ever invest the way they have invested on ICO in 2017, This issue of scam has sabotage everything. Nobody going to lose his/her hard earn money to one hungry individual. I understand that it is better to let go many shitcoin but have you realized many of the tokens the hunters are being paid are either dead or not even listed. I have more than 70 tokens on MEW. Only one was recently listed with a massive dump. The rest have either turn to scam or dead.
1197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How To Spot a Shitcoin? on: February 09, 2020, 08:32:19 AM
I can tell you this days many investors do not even care about doing enough research on determining the prospect of the project. Just like you have stated, it is very difficult to discover that a coin is gonna be shitcoin but it is always sensible to do a bit of research on a company when investing. In fact, I have made it a priority to always stay away for a project whose registration is not confirmed by me. So even if the project is not successful at least I have little hope of getting back refund. Projects such as LBX come to mind.
1198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why most of ALTCOINS are dead or worthless? on: February 09, 2020, 08:24:03 AM
People take advantage of things created with good intentions. Just because allow the creation of a smart contract does not mean it should be abused. And records have shown that even platforms that do not come cheaply like EOS to create a smart contract are not also left out in this scam ish. Many of the dead projects today cannot solely be attributed to scams. Some of them attribute the reason for their closure to the unsustainability of the project maintenance so it is better to go underground. Most Scam projects do not even get launched before disappearing to tiny air.
1199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Crime is getting Worse, what do we do? on: February 08, 2020, 08:09:02 PM
In my country, kidnappers and armed bandit have gone from demanding for fiat to demand bitcoin as a means of paying the ransom. It is sad to see that people are making the anonymity feature of crypto as a means of getting away with the crime. Not only do they make this, they also won't trade on a centralized platform that requires KYC in order to hide their identity. I do not think there is any big way of combating crypto-related crime other than giving a very tough punishment for a few that are caught.
1200  Economy / Economics / Re: BEEN IN THIS GAME FOR 6 YEARS on: February 08, 2020, 08:00:01 PM
It is really hard to get in if you are thinking of how much you will make in few months because that might never happen. Nobody knows BTC will even reach 20k. When I first know bitcoin in 2014, I do not even understand that it is possible for the price to go up. I downloaded the desktop wallet much time without even buying any coin into it. It was not even possible to exchange it in my country at that time. But today each and everyone that have seen the potentials is now blaming why they didn't buy when the price was less. I believe history will repeat itself one day when people start blaming themselves for not buying today.
