I wonder what needs to happen that Poloniex change their withdrawal fee to be less then 20 times expensive as withdrawing BTC. They will have to standardize denominations is all. Right now they are allowing people to just click "send all" and dropping 12 decimal places worth of precision into transactions. Heck honestly the dev team should consider limiting precision beyond any reasonable threshold until the price rises. Maybe 0.00001 at the absolute most. It would cut back on sooo much blockchain spam. But either way, even if not that, polo should limit it to 0.001 which is around 0.01 USD worth of precision. More than enough for any practical application and would cut back on the fees they are paying tremendously. any chance of BTC price rise soon ?
yes?

Cython = no luck Still can't get trezor-python to install completely
two steps to try in the next few
1. Try running Trezor + Electrum on a bare metal Debian box (ditch the VM to see if it changes anything). I have a Debian machine to use with a nice backup sector image. I can write back the system if I don't like the outcome. Its small < 100 Gig so maybe an hour to write it back afterwards.
2. Might build a Ubuntu VM since several here seem to be having luck with it. I prefer to use Debian but I can live with Ubuntu for BTC only via a VM for the task. Which Ubuntu flavors are working well for you guys? Ubuntu and Debian both make it easy to locate drivers for this particular machine.
I am trying to build a nice linux system because I want to connect Trezor + Electrum via TOR. I use TOR and Electrum with no problems, but now I need the hardware wallet in the mix. I'll get there but its a fight for some reason.
If any new readers come across this thread and can throw some light on it, please do so!
Mint is a good option if you want maximum stability and compatibility. I like the general relative lack of annoying nonsense with mint. Everything seems to always just work. The xfce desktop environment is very low overhead also.

However, you, along with the developers here don't see the underlined of non-technical users.
No this is completely wrong. We see the value perfectly. And that value is lower than things like RingCT. Human time is a scarce resource. You cant work on two things at once without taking twice as long to complete each. So a choice must be made. There will come a time when "value in making a project more accessible to a wider audience" is the most important problem to address. That time is not yet upon us.

capital ONLY goes were their money is SAFE. No one will invests in Africa
Capital only goes where it's safe, eh? Have you never heard of VC? (I'll save you having to google that, it stands for venture capitalism?). No-one invests in Africa, eh? I suppose in your mind, $billions invested by Chinese doesn't count? Typical forum response all insults and no facts. You said capital only goes where money is safe. He pointed out places where lots of capital has gone where money isn't safe. Dude it's called an argument.

I call it the CoinTelegraph-Bytecoin-DASH axis of lies and disinformation.
Really? They are just going to throw away what little reputation the have left for that? For what? The accusations wont kill monero because they aren't true but it certainly will destroy all of what it left of cointelegraphs reputation.

since they can't figure out how to make a GUI wallet
A GUI wrapper is actually a very easy thing to make when compared to the actual platform underneath. Incomparably easier. So it isn't this. It isn't this at all. The team just obviously values things like RingCT and database implementation more highly. Many of us are inclined to agree. I am inclined to agree. I can't tell whether or not I should feel bad for someone who thinks a fucking wrapper is more important than something like RingCT. I think you would have to feel bad for a great many people if you did.

I would like to purchase an open dime from the first batch. Please pm me if you have an unused first batch unit that you would be willing to parti with. I am willing to pay shipping and a modest premium.
Sorry, nothing left. Oh I know. I'm hoping one of the previous purchasers will resell to me. *edit* By the way. Your project is AWESOME.

The web wallet for Monero, MyMonero run by famed XMR developer FluffyPony, has been unresponsive for several days
Appears to be working fine for me.

OK guys im back in, that mean from now price is going only up! Sit down and enjoy ride, or jump in train if you are not, this is last XMRs under 7USD ![Kiss](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/kiss.gif) That sounds awesome. Don't let us down. You might be disappointed. oXenonOo did not buy say how much he will spend to buy up the prices. I wonder how much he would need in order to draw a line in the sand and totally arrest the decline for now and all time.

Who else starts salivating at the thought of a monero "cred stick"? As private as it is already and will further be after RingCT, imagine if additionally most of the transactions were taking place off chain. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=http%3A%2F%2Fbitex.ie%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2016%2F05%2FfWJDlHz-824x618.jpg&t=663&c=GcS1DA9TsIgkFg) This sort of technology is almost certainly going to be used as a big part of the solution to the scaling constraints of distributed ledgers. I wonder how cheaply these things could be produced if a company ordered tens or hundreds of millions at a time.

Not only will we decentralize the currency we will decentralize the markets. Oh but we wont stop there. We will decentralize the communications infrastructure. We will even decentralize the shipping infrastructure. And we will marketize everything so that, like drugs, the worst they will ever do is force the price but but never choke off the supply. We are the tide.
