121  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: May 10, 2024, 07:49:25 AM
Man, I can only imagine you guys getting buffed when bitcoin finally hits, I'm still trying to find my inspiration to do a workout because I've got a chronic injury so I can't do it wrong or even at a wrong timing. But I will probably participate with this, hopefully this would be more than just a fad to me and I take it seriously even when bitcoin finally reaches 100k. I love doing push ups and it's something that I've been doing consistently during my highschool, I didn't know why I stopped, I guess the stress and the lack of free time to do it is making this a problem to me but I know that I can make the time for it now, learning to do some scheduling and I'm probably good to go.
122  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 190K in 2024? on: May 10, 2024, 06:55:31 AM
There's like 7 more months before 2025 so I'd say that your price speculation isn't that far off and I don't think that it's generous, seems to me that it's grounded to reality even just a little. I mean look at it, the bitcoin price is going over to 65k+ and it's steady there I think that this halving would make us see a new kind of growth that might not be even in our wildest imagination so I don't believe it's not that high of a price prediction. So, what can we do if we were to expect this kind of event though? I think that the only answer here would be to do your due diligence and do the consistent DCA, you don't want to miss out if this happens and at the same time you're secured because you're buying bitcoin.
123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Donald Trump's stance on Bitcoin is changing, the Trump pump is beginning on: May 10, 2024, 05:42:01 AM
You still believe what a politician is saying? There's no way that Trump would ever go for that when he wins in this next election, I'm pretty sure that this is just a standard politician tactic to try and gain more support from people with niche interests, if you have undecided voters, supporting or saying something about their niche interest is probably for the best because that means that you can sway those undecided voters to your side.

Bitcoin went up 500% under Biden.

Trump promises more chaos, rattled markets, and corruption at the highest levels, including the president having a vested financial interest in various markets to the detriment of others (e.g. Trump blocks Bitcoin so TrumpCoin can explode in price).

The safe bet here is to vote for Biden and the Democrats so Bitcoin can go up another 500%.
It's probably a coincidence, there's other stuff that have been a factor to the growth of bitcoin, if this was true then that means that Xi Jinping also helped in growing the price of bitcoin, which you would probably not agree, you're biased about Biden. Try to stay neutral and look at things in a bigger perspective, you'd see how you might be wrong.
124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a core subject in our schools - Good or bad idea? on: May 10, 2024, 04:56:32 AM
I'd probably just stick with the basic one before anything else, maybe learning the basics of programming might be the best case scenario, it will also help out the students not to focus too much on one subject when they could learn about that when you teach them about different the one that will basically cover bitcoin topics and many others. That's for the best because that way, you're going to see more than just bitcoin, who knows, some of those kids might even get interested in other STEM topics aside from bitcoin. The goal of having bitcoin in the curriculum is for the people to be curious about it anyway so I think that making it as a subject that has bitcoin as the only focus seems like in bad taste in my opinion.

Hey, it's the thought that counts at the end of the day, not to mention that most of the people who have donated are probably living comfortably without the worry that a war might erupt in their country anytime soon, for me, it's my way of helping them to some level, I mean I can't relate to the people that are afflicted by war but I've read and watch too many war stories to be numb of what they're probably feeling there, it also feels good that the amount that I've donated will help a lot of people, makes me atone for some wrong things that I've done to people in my life even just a little.
126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people lose in gambling and still go ahead and bet more? on: May 10, 2024, 02:50:48 AM
Because they're addicted and they've got no way to quit, they're so addicted to gambling and chasing losses that it's really difficult for them to be quitting, they only complain to release the tension that they're feeling whenever they lose a lot in gambling, that's not an indicator that they're quitting, kind of like you and everyone that's got a job and you complain on the task at hand but you still do it anyway, that's basically the same thing with this one, there's no way that this friend of yours would ever quit and the only way that they're ever going to quit is when that friend's loved ones do an intervention towards rehabilitating this man. The promise of riches that gambling dangles in front of these poor people is just too attractive to let it go away, that's why it's so alluring to them to not be gambling in the hopes that they would win and would turn their life around but when it comes to chronic gamblers, they've got a hard time coping with the idea of letting go of gambling despite winning big already.
127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it proper for younger ones to gamble? on: May 10, 2024, 02:10:59 AM
It's not proper and it's a sign that you're a bad parent to let your child do the thing that you know will never be good for them. I don't really get the people that would say that it's proper because how can you justify it besides the awareness part? They can get that thing later in their life, anything that you child would be exposed to at a young age would leave a lasting impression to them and you don't really want that to happen because when it does it's going to be a big problem, what if you don't fully know your kid and then you came to know later on that they're going to be easily obsessed on that bad habits. I say that in this scenario, let the kid explore but you have to direct them to the parts of life that would leave a positive lasting impression to them rather than letting them explore aimlessly or even directing them to the bad stuff.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you consider yourself, the family and gambling? on: May 10, 2024, 01:27:40 AM
Lets take a look at the family aspect of everyone gambling and try to give our individual opinions concerning these questions i will like us to discuss from regarding how we are gambling and how that can affect the family for the benefits of those already having one and those that will soon be in the league of a family man, lets make it as simple as possible in giving our earnest contributions on our take from this following questions i have for us.

1. At what age will you allow your child to start gambling? that is if you will even allow for that at all?
2. At what age do you see yourself quit gambling? that is also if some of us are going to ever do so?
3. Ever since you have started gambling, have you ever achieve a satisfying level that makes you think it has good impact on you?
4. Would you have missed out on anything if you were not a gambler?
Why the hell would the question 1 be a thing? That's not something that you have no control of and even if you catch your kid gambling at a young age, you're probably going to scold him and then that's it, you will see your kid gambling even more than ever, that's the thing with this one. I don't think that not allowing them to gamble is a difficult thing to do anyway, it's something to do with self-discovery so I'm not sure what you would get out of it, you will only make a good liar when you restrict them. Question 2 is a bit subjective but I don't think that age will have anything to do with quitting, you will just do it, that's about it. Question 3, there's no good impact that has been made in my life when I do gambling, I just lose money and have a short burst of fun for a little while. Question 4, I don't think I would've missed out on anything, it's not something big on a person's life and gambling doesn't really nourish anything within you so I doubt that I would've missed out on anything if I didn't gamble.
129  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which of these hot crypto stocks will soar higher this year? on: May 09, 2024, 11:40:56 PM
The question is if I have got money? and a lot of spare? I'd also choose Coinbase.

As you're like owning the company and the same goes for Microstrategy but it all boils down to the point that you can buy directly with Bitcoin. But this is me, you earn a portion of the company not Bitcoin when you buy them.

That's why I think Coinbase is a good option, while Bitcoin is here to stay so does Coinbase and MSTR but I don't like MSTR.
There's like 35% increase with Coinbase based on what @CryptoHeadlineNews said, and Microstrategy is on a 200% increase so I'm not sure how it would be logical for you to not own some MSTR stocks when you said that you've got the spare money. In regards to what I think about these stocks though, I don't feel like most sensible financial advisors would recommend them as your way into stocks, they're not bluechip stocks that would give out consistent pay outs or dividends to you every quarter, you're better off buying a stock of Coca-Cola or Apple or Amazon because they're pretty established already and I think they give out dividends. Just own bitcoin directly if you can do it, making it difficult for yourself to do it with all these extra steps is way too doozy.
130  Economy / Economics / Re: Starting a business without capital. on: May 09, 2024, 05:28:12 PM
It's difficult if you ask, pretty sure that in any successful business, you need to have some funds that would make your business afloat for a little while, it's not going to be enough that you would be doing anything without any capital, that's what's going to make your business successful, after all, you need to keep and eye out on customers and you need to take care of each of them and the only way that you can take care of them to eventually become a patron of your business is if you've got the money to take care of them, people don't really want to be set aside in a business and without money, you'd likely never see a returning customer, which is a bad thing for the business so I disagree that you can build a business without a capital.
131  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is all wealth? on: May 09, 2024, 04:15:32 PM

I truly believe that consumerism has rotten all our brains. Yes we all need money but some of us consider having luxuries as happiness and that is not genuine happiness. The society and social media is making you think that you need this and that so you end up spending your money however if you really think about it… you do not need all those things and you just need to live a fulfilling life.
It's not our fault, we weren't taught a lot that we should question all the things that come to us, our teachers told us to follow the rules not question things, that's why we felt like it rotted our brain, consumerism isn't the root cause, it's the human nature of being greedy and trying to trick the people into buying the stuff that they sell for all of our soul. It's probably not our fault too that we've come this far but I've got something to tell you though, I do think that it's about time that we choose something and we need to deal with it soon enough. I agree about the fulfilling lifestyle but some greedy people would argue that there's more to life and sometimes those things are out of reach and that it's only possible to have that kind of life if you just follow their lifestyle or try to imitate them which doesn't happen most of the time.
132  Economy / Economics / Re: Take care of your money and learn to save. on: May 09, 2024, 01:37:37 PM
Thanks for the advice Captain Obvious but there's something about this thing though, it's not easy to do it if you're living from paycheck to paycheck and you've got bills to pay, how can you take care of your money if you don't have anything left whenever you're getting paid? That's difficult to do for some minimum wage earners, maybe you can do it much easier when you're with someone since you've got a combined money and that additional money for you both can be a good way to survive and make some extra money which you can choose to invest or just plain save with no growth or interest.

Our lifestyle is different for each individual and so most advice have a 50/50 chance of becoming effective, say for example, the advice of stop spending money on stupid stuff, might not work if that person is a poor or doesn't have a lot of money and they spend a lot of money in clubbing and might work when it's the same person but not having any money to spend on clubbing.
133  Economy / Economics / Re: Money is all wealth? on: May 09, 2024, 11:25:56 AM
That's probably because you haven't tried to live sustainably like growing your own garden where you can get all the stuff you need like food. If you actually know how to live in a farm, you can easily live out of the stuff that you maintain and grow there. Sure it might need money first but when things get going and you make it grow even more for yourself, you probably won't be able to rely too much on money anymore. So yes, in some way, money will never be all wealth, if you're talking emotionally, spiritually, there's more to things than just money to be called wealthy.
134  Economy / Economics / Re: A lot wealthy people not smart they just use debt on: May 09, 2024, 08:58:43 AM
Everyone already knows that but remember that those debts that they incur, we're the one shouldering those in some form or another, they're also basically not paying any of those debts because they're paying those with debts too and it's not something that any person can do, this type of stuff is something that's only the billionaires and influential people can do, we can't do this kind of thing on a small scale, we're going to end up bankrupting ourselves these way. I wouldn't agree though that they're not smart, that's a smart way to avoid taxes on your wealth, that's how Jeff Bezos does it so he won't be taxed in any way, he's living off of the debts that he asks on different banks.
135  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Story of my life on: May 09, 2024, 08:11:10 AM
Congratulations, that's the most normal thing that anyone should ever feel in regards to someone losing their drive to gamble, that's you OP becoming more happier than ever, there's no doubt about it and don't be too crazy about it because you also have no way of relapsing because you're clearly loving what you're feeling now and I highly doubt that you'd ever want that to go away. Think of all the positives that you're going to get when you finally stop gambling, more time on other things that's more productive and more healthy for you and your soul.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attempting to turn 0.05 BTC into 1.7 BTC on: May 09, 2024, 05:38:52 AM
~
One year costs over $30,000 here. So 0.05 BTC is not enough for even one semester. Sad
Damn, that's a lot but still, it's going to be really hard to do what you're planning to do if your main plan is to gamble and risk your money to do something that you know you've got the odds stacked against you. I wish that you can find more ways for you to make money though, it's going to be a difficult journey and you will have a hard time but if you persevere, the reward that you're going to get is going to be beyond your wildest imagination.
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attempting to turn 0.05 BTC into 1.7 BTC on: May 09, 2024, 05:01:35 AM
You're betting too high already OP, I feel like you can probably do some brakes on the amount that you're putting in, 0.025 is such a big loss so I don't know how you can continue doing that kind of bets in the future, you also probably don't want to be relying on these bets to pay for your medical school, that 0.05 could probably fund you here in the first year of your medical school, maybe even have more pocket money because that's already a lot of money. Is the 1.7 btc for the whole time you're going to be in the medical school? If you can get to 0.05, you can probably do it again until you get to that instead of just gambling it all away.
138  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia on April 20 on: May 09, 2024, 03:52:10 AM
Ryan winning the fight in that manner, people will talk about it forever. He wouldn't need to create another psychological campaign that made the NYSAC exec resign because of this scandalous accusation they made against Ryan. Haney is likely trying to get Ryan still of all the shit he has been thru the guy can't accept he lost against someone he thought to be the worse fighter.  Grin
It's not as fantastic of a match so I wouldn't say forever but they're definitely going to talk about it in ages, definitely something and I think that Ryan deserves the win, Haney sucked so bad in that match and I don't think that he's even on par with Garcia. Man, that was an intense match and the highlights in the match was so good, the issue behind the match will eventually fizzle out though.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralization is a false proposition on: May 08, 2024, 11:50:20 PM
Bitcoin is not one of the best but is the best .

The reason I can think of for its authenticity and effectiveness is that it was created by satoshi not for profit but for genuine hope of utilization. Satoshi disappearing implied a lot of things and personally to me it meant that he was not interested with making money off of bitcoin and that is something a lot of projects can never seem to do.

I can agree that it's the best in decentralization, with all the altcoins out there that seeks to be the best in something, I think that there's not a lot of them that are on the spectrum of best in terms of being decentralized. I'm a bit skeptical on that personal implication for the disappearance, there's lots of things that can make someone go away, not just because they don't want to make money out of their creation but seeing how Satoshi is when it comes to the stuff that he's talking about, I'm a bit inclined to believe too that he's doing something, for me though I just felt like the reason for him/her/them leaving is they want to see if the experiment would be a success without some form of intervention coming from them.
140  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best game provider? on: May 08, 2024, 02:35:28 PM
This has to be some of the weirdest astroturfing I have seen.

OP, of you own this site, you can make a simple announcement thread instead of this mess.
Secondly, your website is region blocking users. The linked casino seems to only be accepting users from certain regions, probably only the UK, and blocks everyone else. Honestly no reason to promote region blocking casinos in an international forum...
OP probably knows that he can do it but chose not to because he feels like his thread wouldn't last much longer there and so OP did this, arguably a bad decision but promotion and publicity is still gained on this one. Did check it, the same thing happens to me too, I guess that's the thing that will happen when you don't think through what you want to do.
