1201  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner Averaging future trading. on: January 01, 2023, 05:18:22 AM
You need to calculate your liquidation price and according to that, you have to plan your entries. Just wanted to say that I think a long position from here can be a good relative to short.
Usually I never recommend anything for derivative markets for crypto traders but if you are ready to risk then I guess you are right that high risk traders may opt for taking long positions in derivative markets with relatively small leverages. Small leverages can help to delay liquidation instead of what OP was mentioning about adding excess funds.

Ultimately your money your decision.
But, we are not suggesting to only one person or any particular person. I mean open discussion is for all type of people hence we need to suggest the best and cannot stay calm just because of "not my money".
1202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin to be used for micropayments on Twitter? on: December 31, 2022, 01:05:02 PM
every investment is the responsibility of each and they themselves will bear the risk and we as people who know these investors are enough to tell the truth about the meme coin hype that has ended, but if they still believe in what he thinks, so be it. because he has the right to choose where they dare to take risks when investing in meme coins.

and I also have never invested in any meme coin. because for me there is still something that is more profitable and has more value in the future in the coin that I have chosen and am currently holding.
Not investing in any memecoin is a smart move, not many people would be smart enough to stay away from the latest hypes and for a while memecoins were the biggest hype of the crypto world and too many people got into it.

People who have absolutely no idea about crypto got into dogecoin for a while, and not like they lost money neither, they made a lot of profit from it when the time came and that caused them to believe in it a lot more. The ones that sold and took their profit are happy and they think they did the right thing, and if they stayed in profit then they really did do the right thing. But many that kept on holding lost most of their money and that's a trouble for the market.
1203  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happened with crypto? on: December 31, 2022, 06:15:24 AM
We are in a bear market and apart from that the current downturn is also due to some global factors like inflation which is on the rise so it is natural to see that the bitcoin price is now trading below $20k isn't this also what happened in the past when the bitcoin price managed to reach ATH and after that the market will undergo a correction that will take a little time to recover. I think if you've known bitcoin for a long time then you also know what's going on in the market right now.
We will always have cycles in crypoto where the price would go down and we would not be able to actually see it going up if we just sell it, we need to hold it so we could face the period when it goes up as well. I personally hold it right now as much as I can and I believe that it will keep on going higher and higher, no matter how low it goes, I just tell myself to wait longer and it will get higher.

This is why it's quite important to never lose hope in bitcoin. If you lose your hope, then bitcoin will not care about it, but you will lose when it goes up. I will never lose hope, and I will always trust that it will go up a lot when the time comes.
1204  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What you really think about trading bots? on: December 30, 2022, 06:28:23 AM
There are only a few people using trading signals who are experts; mostly, they will be checking the analysis of other traders and trying to confirm it with their own ideas, but most of my friends only rely on themselves when they trade, and I too am influenced by the predictions of my friends.
I know some of my friends who are all into both self trading and bot trading. It is kind of diversification in their view as results from cryptocurrency trading is not always same. As per overall performances by manual and bot trading, some of my friends shared like they are able to end up a month in profits which helps them to live out of cryptocurrency trading.

Unlike most other markets in this planet, crypto markets are having long bear market which could be the reason why manual traders are not successful yearly basis. When it is all about balancing your trades across different market conditions then I guess going for bot trading along with your usual trading will help somehow in my opinion as well.
1205  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It Is Possible To Invest In Crypto Currency Without Buying Any Coins. on: December 30, 2022, 06:01:03 AM
I was thinking of an easier way to acquire crypto currency as investments without actually buying any directly from a trader or an exchange. I discovered how sane it is to purchase stock from publicly traded companies, working on or utilizing efficiently the blockchain technology by either mining crypto, being involved in the development of blockchain technology, or holding significant amounts of crypto on their balance sheets, also, through mutual funds, and exchange-traded funds (ETFs).
You may go for it for the purposes of diversification after you have reached the threshold levels in cryptocurrency investments.

By directly investing, your risk and rewards will be high and if your are involving through the corporates who are all into crypto adaption then your risk and rewards will be significantly comes down. It must be a passive approach in my view.

Basically I am not planning anything like this as of now. I just wanted to maximize my ROI by utilizing my knowledge on altcoin industry to minimize the risk factors.
1206  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin Dead ? on: December 29, 2022, 08:30:30 PM
Maybe they are worried since Elon has big influence and might it create some negative effect if  he abandon this coin.

But people need to realize that guy is just doing a business with doge so any hyping or some action he do to highlight its name has personal agenda and do it for his profits so better for those people to quit looking for more pumps. Sell once profit is there since whales like Elon will be more lucky if he is the one who gonna sell first and leave those other people hanging and bag holding some shit that they think will pump more in future.
But he didn't abandon the coin. He will only abandon Twitter. If Twitter is handed out to another owner, Elon can still use the platform just like before and post shills there about the coin. I wouldn't wonder anymore on why those people seem to be very emotional and worries a lot because they only invested on a risky coin whose gains are only based on the hypes.

If only those people invest on a much better such as Bitcoin then they can attain a peace of mind. Doge coin isn't totally dead but what is the only thing that have died here is the hype. We don't even know if it will be revived again or not. For now, Doge coin can still be use for gambling and paying something but shouldn't be considered for long term hodling/investing.
1207  Economy / Speculation / Re: ELON sold his TSLA stock for $3.5billion. Will he re-buy BTC soon? on: December 29, 2022, 07:29:36 PM
If Elon Musk wants to invest, then I'm sure he won't be throwing large sums of money at once to avoid overreacting the market. He definitely doesn't want to buy more expensive, that's obvious because he knows what he has to do as long as he believes bitcoin is very profitable in the long term. But for now, I believe the sale of his Tesla stock is not for bitcoin, but to support his other ventures or whatever.
I agree that no wise investor will go "all at once", it is definitely against to the basics of investment principles. At the same time, I guess every whale investors must be getting FOMO right now as if anyone starts buying in large quantity then they cannot do slow buying for better prices. So, I am sure that Elon might be planning for some portion of that big money for bitcoin investments and they are already into accumulation of bitcoin.

Recently we touched $18k by mid of this month which was an clear indication that whales are in action out of FOMO. This trend will heat up slowly in the new year for sure.
1208  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 50% Down Move Incoming? on: December 29, 2022, 06:49:55 PM
In 2015 January, we had mt.cox collapse and in 2018 December we had BCH-SV fork and these 2 incidents led 50% down fall in quicker time.
So, in last 2 cycles, 50% fall happened at the end of bearish trend? I am also sure that for the current market sentiment, if any negative news happens right now then we can see a bloodbath easily unlike at the beginning of the same bearish trend. Moreover, I guess it would be easier that any big negative news is capable of dragging bitcoin market up to 50% regardless of beginning or end of bearish trend.

The good thing is, even after a 50% collapse at the end of bearish market, we bounced back; so I agree that we do not need to worry but we can be glad as we are about to sail on green market in real soon.
1209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin survived the Christmas market pressure on: December 29, 2022, 06:03:22 AM
The assumption might happen by those years that I've said. But it's likely that it's going to be there when the halving ends.

We don't know exactly when it'll be there but we're believing and leaning towards it because that's how the pattern and cycle did for the past several years.

And we're all hoping that the same thing might tick again.
What about before the halving or during it? We can not stop the people who are excited about it so this will trigger a buying pressure. Same on other coin events. Have you saw what happen to ETH price last time before the merge? It also got boosted right?

That is what I am talking about but unlike to ETH, people won't be disappointed with BTC because the momentum can surely continue. Oh wait, speaking of disappointed which I said earlier, someone will actually going to be disappointed here and they are none other than the bitcoin miners because the rewards that they are going to get are once again going to be halved. This is why it's called halving.
1210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: December 28, 2022, 09:41:08 PM
Atletico is no longer a stable team like a few years ago. They are unpredictable and also very erratic. There is a considerable chance that they will also have a hard time against Elche. I don't know where things went wrong for Atletico in recent years, they brought Griezman back but Suarez left. The situation around Godin has also had the necessary impact. I actually thought at the start of the season that Atletico Madrid might be an outsider for the title, but there is little evidence of that at the moment. Qualifying for CL and becoming 3rd seems to be the maximum achievable.
Atletico Madrid aren't the same old powerful team as of now indeed.

Simeone has had great years with this team for a long time. Their usual strategies were working very well against even Barcelona and Real Madrid in the league. These two big teams were having really big difficulties against Atletico Madrid in the past. However we are in a different age now. Atletico Madrid are no longer a big threat to both of them. We have all witnessed that by their match against Real Madrid in the league. Real Madrid didn't have big difficulties in defeating them in an away match. I think it will be the same against Barcelona as well.
Agree, now in this season they are having decline in quality which is surely hurting them with having defeats against weaker sides and attack is also not good with defence is also having few laps here now time to bring few changes which must for bringing better results but management and coach both are not doing things for right direction as we are watching Barcelona and Real Madrid maintaining their squad and bringing quality players which giving them better response but sadly here Simeone is not doing any change and his strategy is also now not helping for bringing changes before break they have only one win from their last five games which is surely not good for them hopefully in this break they have better strategy which will help them for having positive changes.
1211  Other / Off-topic / Re: ⚽ Football Injuries and Injury Updates! on: December 28, 2022, 08:50:11 PM
When Gabriel Jesus got injured, Arteta has floated the possibility of using Gabriel Martinelli through the middle and wants to add attacking reinforcements. But Eddie Nketiah is ready to fill the hole in Arsenal's attack, we saw Nketiah doing the job and against Westham United, he proved himself. I don’t know how far Arsenal will go with this but there are also reports that they’re trying to add another forward to compliment the attack in the absence of Gabriel Jesus. They’re a lot of games to be played, so I expect reinforcement.
They can't get someone right now, can they? It's not the transfer window right now as far as I know and not for a while longer. After that, depending on how Gabriel Jesus feels then maybe they could get another player.

How long will he be out? Last I know was like 3 months for the injury and it has been nearly a month already since that was said, which means only 2 months left. If that timing is correct then they shouldn't really get someone for only 2 months absent. If they could hold off for 2 months that would be better. However, if they are looking to get someone for long term, like even if Jesus was healthy type of deal, then it would be reasonable for sure.
1212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next crypto craze? on: December 28, 2022, 06:22:40 PM
None of the Metaverse projects had yet released thier full platform yet. The ones the I was trying were Dacentraland but this also is yet not.
Play2Earn could still come up in the next craze since there are many developers that are developing games.
And then Defi which some platforms are trying to develop new algo for stablecoin and I think Defi will still be attractive soon because even the CEX nowadays are still doing it like the staking.
Maybe that is the issue with the metaverse projects? I mean they can't really be ever over, because if you say "this is it" people will start to mock it and leave easily and the ones who are haven't entered yet will have a good reason not to enter at all. I have seen better graphics on single solo developer built games than what decentraland had, so it is quite possible that it would never take off.

I understand there are some "game" games, like NFT and metaverse all combined and people hope that you could live there in the game 12-15 hours a day and make enough tokens to sell and make a living like that. But to say that metaverse would be an alternative reality where you will live? You need better graphics for sure.
1213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTX collapse: Good or bad for crypto in the long run? on: December 27, 2022, 08:43:40 PM
I personally think that the FTX collapse will be good for Bitcoin, as customer deposits will no longer be liquidated and spent on shitcoins while faking a BTC balance. That being said, I think it will be horrible for shitcoins like SOL & ADA, as suddenly they won’t have money from Bitcoin customers funneled to them and the companies trying to pump them are forced to liquidate their holdings.
Are we 100% sure about that? I mean you are assuming that exchanges learned their lesson and won't do it anymore after FTX bankrupted, but if FTX can't then some other could still do it? I am not saying it didn't stop some of them, I am sure some of them learned how dangerous it could be and reversing their actions nowadays but that is just a guess on how many because I do not believe that all of them stopped, only some of them probably stopped.

This is why I am guessing that the best thing we could do right now would be hoping that we are on the right exchanges that doesn't do it and not on the ones that are doing it. Maybe it got lesser compared to past, but it must be still around and still being done by some.
1214  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid running into financial ruin this Christmas! on: December 27, 2022, 03:30:25 PM
For sure some of them are spreading a lot of money because this is a once every year happening and I guess well deserved of all people treat themselves to have this enjoyment with their family with some gifts, after that of course you will grind again to get back those losses but of course, if you know with yourself that you don't have the capability to make spend a lot of money still give some for your family and make all those budget organize. Still use your money wise.
Honestly, I haven't spent "that" much on Christmas, I just spent good enough, like some gifts, small gifts at those and some food and wine and so forth which were all come to like $200 at most and that's it. If that is a lot then it is a lot and I don't care, because I have very few days when I can celebrate with the group of people I love, and that didn't really disrupted my finance a lot neither.

Sure I have to postpone one of my debts just one month further but that's really not a big deal if you consider everything together, it is still a fine situation. I have to say time and moments are a lot more valuable than money, because you can get the money back, you can't get the time back.
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should be very careful with alts on: December 27, 2022, 05:15:46 AM
Crypto is a perfect engine for scammers because it's still unregulated and it's also the wild west when it comes to making money quick with less efforts. .
I say NOT really a perfect engine for scammers but we can't deny that it was one tool for them to fool people and take advantage of the situation as they can be anonymous. Yet, many scammers have been captured and put in jail while using cryptocurrencies and it was because of the participation of the community.

I see that people are not learning how these scammers do, yet some people still fall into their hands because of their greed. Generally, they are now cautious with their actions and decisions when it comes to choosing coins to invest with.
People are acting as if scammers do not exist in the fiat world and that is the thing that bothers me the most. I mean fiat world has a lot more scammers and it happens every single day, so much so that there are companies out there who scam people constantly. This means that crypto of course has scammers, because everywhere and every currency has scammers, even non currency related stuff could be used for scamming as well, like scamming for influence or power as well.

All in all, you are not going to stop people from lying to get more. That is the nature of humanity and it will continue to do so until end of times. I am guessing that the best thing we could do right now would be just focusing on ourselves and how to prevent getting scammed.
1216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 26, 2022, 09:22:26 AM
Love the interview with Nikola Jokic asking him if he could pursue Aaron Gordon to join the slam dunk contest again. He should try.

The best game was in Denver, well that was expected but when Booker could not return to the game it changed my perspective.
And then, two Suns bench players stepped up their game. Landry Shamet (31 points 7/17 3-points, 6 assists) and Damion Lee (18 points, 4/5 3-points, 8 rebounds), these guys made the Nuggets suffer to claim a win at an easier path even without Booker.
But, Aaron Gordon also stepped up his game, Jamal Murray found his rhythm, and the Joker being his normal triple-double monster game.
Jokic set a record for the most points in a triple-double in Christmas franchise history. 41/15/15
Aaron Gordon doesn't dunk the way he used to, most people who dunk amazingly back in the day, become not so great players later on, like aaron gordon or blake griffin or westbrook. I know this is a sad thing to say, but the guy we all love and think as a big all-star name right now, Ja Morant, will be the same as well.

He looks great for not, but he will lose his hopes in 7-8 years and will become a boring player to watch eventually. Shooters keep staying good, rebounders too, passers too, but if all you do is jump super high and be athletic then you are going to lose that in no time and will become a player that is slow and useless.
1217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting.... on: December 25, 2022, 01:46:51 PM
We are talking about Biden, Trump, Harris, etc. But we are also ignoring the surprise candidates who could suddenly appear and take over the parties candidatures, I think Obama did so back during his first presidential campaign. I would expect to see some young candidate appearing out of nowhere and start gaining traction within the democrat party. It would be something which could put everyone's bets in disarray.

Also, the fact the Republican Party isn't calling out Trump for his latest behavior just shows they still fear a big come back and takeover.
Yes.. we can't actually discount that possibility. There is a good chance that some surprise candidate may popup. Trump himself surprised everyone in 2016, when he announced his candidacy and then gained a lot of momentum in short time. And back in 2020, it was Michael Bloomberg and Pete Buttigieg who surprised everyone during the Democrat primaries. And we don't know what will happen in 2024. Trump is more like a headache for the Republicans. They need to find a way to deal with him. As of now, Trump is more of an issue for the Republicans when compared to Democrats.
It is quite difficult in this circumstances, that's why it is not talked about all that much. During Obamas first term, he ran against all clean slate opponents. Bush couldn't be elected again, so Republicans had to pick someone that could win, they had to provide a brand new nominee, and same with democrats as well. So both sides had to find a "new" person, and the "first black president" made everyone go out to vote, he got the highest votes out of anyone until Biden did this last time.

So, it is clear that we are talking about a bit of an advantage there. Now? We may have 2 presidents running for re-election, it's hard to crack that.
1218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 24, 2022, 08:20:23 PM
In the 14th Match Hobart Hurricanes vs Melbourne Renegades the game of these two teams has started. Hobart Hurricanes won the toss and decided to bat. Scored 85 runs in 13 overs. And Hobart Hurricanes lost 7 wickets. Melbourne Renegades are bowling very well. David Moody  He took 3 wickets with 16 runs from 4 overs. And Andre Russell took 2 wickets with 14 runs from 2 overs.
I was very surprised with the performance of Renegades in this match, their batting line up fully destroyed by the bowlers of Hobart Hurricanes. Although the Hobart Hurricanes haven't done too well either. Even so, I thought Renegades would win, as they have not lost a match till now  in their last five matches so far and they are also standing in 2nd place of the table. I think this match is one of the bad performance of them
Really entertaining match by these two with Renegades faces first defeat in this season with fail to achieve target like 122 is surely a big setback for them because early their bowlers done amazing stuff and restricted Hobart Hurricanes by this total Akeel Hosein and David Moody were the heroes as both done good stuff with not allowed any Hobart Hurricanes batsmen to play freely but in reply Renegades batting also faltered by Shadab Khan, Riley Meredith and other bowlers those restricted them and win their second match of this season which is really amazing stuff for the Hurricanes.

Now tomorrow we will be having off day in BBL due to 25th December things could be again on their best with Boxing Day matches which could be full of entertainment for the fans around the world.
1219  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should your wife or husband know your seed phrase? on: December 24, 2022, 09:33:02 AM
...which I think depends on their own personality and family situation, and every family structure is different.
Glad you said it - every family structure is different.

The advice given in this thread will not work for everyone. People need to make a judgment for themselves whether they can accept sharing mneumonic phrases with relatives and/or loved ones.
You are right on the topic that you may not want to share when you are alive, that much is true, it all depends on the family situation. I am happy to share it with my wife, not that share cares lol, but at least I could share it and let her know how to cash it out in case of anything bad.

But, some other person may not feel comfortable with it, and there are even people who sign prenup before they get married, meaning they won't even pay money after divorce. However, letting someone know what to do, your wife or your husband or children, or even lawyer if you have to is important because otherwise that money is forever gone, and that would be a shame.
1220  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin high prediction 2023? on: December 23, 2022, 03:23:52 PM
The $30k prediction by the end of 2023 is much more feasible than the one that will happen later this year or mid-2023. Personally, I also predict that war or economic inflation will have positive signs and will recover from the end of 2023, and in 2024 we will have explosive development steps again. That time also coincides with the halving, so it is very appropriate to expect a bull market and it can be a super cycle because there are strong catalysts like economic growth.
I agree, it's quite reasonable amount to expect to be, it's realistic and it's not fantasy levels neither. I believe that it should not be that much of a trouble if we just go on a short bull run burst, it could possibly happen the way we want it to happen and I am guessing that it's not going to be too tough on anyone neither.

I am pretty sure it's going to be something that is a good level above 20k, because we have been under 20k for a while and everyone wants to see it go above, and not enough people are willing to keep it down, it's obvious from the fact that they can't keep it under 20k financially anymore, so they create chaos and gossip and rumours on media now to keep it under, which won't work for too long.
