32nd match* Bangladesh premier League 2023.
Khulna tigers vs comilla victorians
Khulna Tigers scored 210 runs in this exciting match. Despite scoring 210 runs in today great match, Khulna Tigers could not win. Comilla Victorians snatched the victory by crossing such a big target. Comilla batsman Johnson Charles hit a huge six with 10 balls to spare. Johnson Charles scored a century with 107 runs off 56 balls. Mohammad Rizwan also batted fast. Mohammad Rizwan collected 73 runs off 39 balls. Best wishes to the beloved team Comilla Victorians.
Spectators usually look forward to this type of match. The number of such matches in the BPL will not be too much. As a native player of Bangladesh, Tamim Iqbal has performed well. He scored 61 from 95 and Shai Hope who scored 91 off 55 balls. In the performance of these two, the total runs reached 210, but in the end Comilla Victorians won the match by Chasing the run. Yesterday's match was one of the enjoyable matches in this session.

I would say this was the most exciting and enjoyable match of BPL. Even after giving a huge target of 211 runs to the Khulna team, they will be defeated. After giving such a huge target, everyone assumed that Khulna would win the match very easily. But Comilla proved everyone wrong and easily won the match. Johnson Charles and Rizwan's brilliant batting gave Comilla an easy win. The performance of the Khulna bowlers was very poor. Every bowler in the team except Nasum Ahmed gave a lot of runs.
Slowly it looks like BPL is getting more popular. If we get to watch similar matches often cricketing fans will start watching the matches. Just take IPL, almost every match there'll be hard fight till the last and most of the matches run till the last ball with targets mostly close to 200 runs. We need more matches similar to the Khulna Tigers vs Comilla Victorians.
1262  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: February 01, 2023, 04:50:03 AM
A big target given by England in the last match was easily resisted by South Africa. They won the series by chasing 342 runs. Today will be the last match of that series. Perhaps this series from England was a special gift for South Africa. If England lose in the last match, they have to return by empty hand or white wash which will bring big criticism for their cricket. So maybe they will try their best to ensure victory in today's match.

South Africa should be concerned as well. They are regarded as a team with world class pacers - Anrich Nortje, Kagiso Rabada, Marco Jansen and Lungi Ngidi. But their bowlers leaked plenty of runs in the first two matches. And the less we talk about the spin options - Tabraiz Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj, that better. I would say that there are worrying signs for both the teams, ahead of the 2023 ODI World Cup. And at this point, I would say that South Africa's position is only marginally better than England.
South Africa have got World Class bowlers in a better order than England, but at times the pitch also matters. England's bowlers are not that strong, Chris Woakes, Topley, Sam Curran, Rashid who used to progress if they got a good start. In the previous match South Africa played in a well planned manner. Almost every country bowling are in the similar position, because we cannot say this team will win with limited runs with the strength of bowlers.
1263  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being Lonely drives you towards Gambling....! on: February 01, 2023, 04:10:14 AM
Well, gambling has a psychological side too, and being lonely can make us depressed, and depression with gambling is two things that never should be mixed because we will lose all if we play under that condition.

And being only also gives us a feeling that we can lose all without affecting others, but that doesn't happen if we have a couple or a family, the fact that we have to hold something for them in case things becomes bad make us play it more in a smart way.
Loneliness gives space to engage in any kind of activities. As said it has got emotional part, when we fail to control our emotions it'll end up in win or loss. Here it is a loss and the situation of OP is worse. Losses at such situations will easily lead to depression, and one should take into consideration different factors before gambling. As suggested keeping the fund for the family and playing with the rest is the right way. Even if triggered we should have the self control.
Yes, but in this case, he gave in the the calling of playing his hard earn money into gambling. And the sad part, is that he lost everything in the end. And yes, it could lead to him thinking of depositing more money instead of just holding it up because he has some kind of emergency.

Hopefully that will not be the case for him here, and hope that he learn his lessons the expensive way.

The next time he goes on a feeling of loneliness, then don't gamble and just be strong.
A learning in an expensive way. I never thought situation would go in this way. My fate I should've cashed it out earlier, but kept aside to enjoy the small increase in the holding if there is rise in the bitcoin price. I never intend to deposit and loss more, because the emotional outburst is the reason for the entire loss. If not I could've stopped in between. Next time feeling lonely need to move forward looking for other activities.
1264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: We lose on the long run through return percentage on: February 01, 2023, 12:03:39 AM
Operations have to be paid for, its obviously not going to be a free of profits company for any gambling operation.   I guess zero profit could be done short term but its true of most services, companies or products you buy; they must pay their people and for costs of the operation or they could not continue.  That is always a reality of playing that good luck must be appreciated and always take something off the table to go home with you not be re-gambled I think is best policy.
Dont go in circles till you use it all up or yea its not profitable, mostly the games are for fun and thinking too much its profit is swimming against the tide.

gambling business thrive for a reason. and if the owner knows how to manage this kind of business, he can very well gain good profits. because if they are doing it wrong, certainly, they will go bankrupt fast and can't continue their business. and with the gambler, if he will continue playing, for sure, he will be on the losing side. because we know, a lot of gamblers will only stop if he has no more bankroll to play. that means, all his funds are already inside the casino.
Since the major aim of opening a casino is not to impress gamblers by giving out free cash for being a player. Everyone needs this money even the president of a country. Business need money to survives that is why we do see some big claims by casino of trying to give gamblers 100% returns that can never be possible. This is a business tactics and many the business owners do make use of these tricks even outside gambling.

Business must survive that is why many people including the team do look out for ways to accomplish a success business where customers would be pleased which the product the receive.
Every casino is business and the success depends on the gamblers involvement. As mentioned casinos aren't run to give free money, it is a business where return is expected. One wins and ten losses which is how Casinos operate, but the hope keeps the gamblers continue to wager even though they had experienced loss. It might look big when we make small money,, but when we calculate overall spending most of the gamblers will be on loss.
1265  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 31, 2023, 11:59:09 PM
This is true, even today I had big loss. Being Lonely drives you towards Gambling. The scenario at which I've lost the money out of gambling is really bad. I shouldn't have gambled at such situation. The accessibility to gamble sitting in a hospital have made me loss it. I'm not into addiction, but once after losing I understood the accessibility have made me loss. If not I could've spend time on something else and couldn't have ended up losing.
1266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Life Insurance on: January 31, 2023, 05:14:10 PM
So far, in my opinion, there may be 2 choices that can be made, namely storing it in a bank safe or better known as the Safe Deposit Box. This may sound a little odd, but when there is no trustee to trust, at least the SDB is still efficient. Then the options of the closest people especially family can be used as an alternative to Bitcoin inheritance, but they also have vulnerabilities.
This is a better idea, actually in our house there is a attache case with lock that is store in a cabinet with lock with all the files of properties for security purposes that can only be access by our parents before but then later on they also tell where the keys is when were adult enough to know. Though it will be safer to put it in other secured safe area with insurance security for some events like fire or in bank safe especially the ledger and keys  for insurance purposes since we can’t guarantee if there will be some fires or thefts if only left at home and just include it in will or mention to family members since they can only access it if have owner consent.
Every house won't have safety deposit box. Good choice is the bank's deposit box, because in house one can take hold of the box and enjoy all the savings. With bank both the heir needs to be present while the safety box belongings were taken out and given. As said fire and natural disasters were possible everywhere. So, better is to have the same piece of secret phrase stored in different locations.
1267  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being Lonely drives you towards Gambling....! on: January 31, 2023, 01:16:17 PM
Does anybody have this experience or this is happening with me. Most of my gambling losses have taken place when I feel lonely.
Today one such incident have taken place. I've kept my last few weeks signature earning aside to meet some medical needs. Today my mother got hospitalised and I'm her attender. She is supposed to take a minor surgery as her vision isn't clear. She's been taken to the Operation Theatre and I was left alone in the room. If anything required the nursing staff would call me. By thos time my mind didn't think about anything. All of the sudden why don't you gamble? and I started and made 0.009BTC close to 0.01BTC and the greed didn't left me. Finally lost all my month's earning kept aside.
You kept a month of your signature earnings to have some money to be used for your mother's bills and you choose to gamble that instead of just converting it and paying it to the hospital??

What an insane mind you have. I'm a bit disappointed with the decision you made. I don't personally know you, but as a family-oriented man, I will prioritize my family over some hobbies or whatever you want to call to gambling. I will spend that amount to pay bills and not to gamble it. You know the risks of gambling right? If you may, where will you get the supposed funds that you could use to pay those bills of your family member? At least think of your decision next time before taking an action. My apologies to what I said too. As @livingfree said, you might wanna go to an expert because I think you need it.

Through this I would like to remind be careful when you are alone. If your mind wish to gamble, go for it. But don't consider it as a way to pass your time and keep on wagering. The outcome might hurt, because most of the time loneliness is felt when our mind is in a bad mood. Some enjoy being lonely, but the reality used to be different.
I will never ever gamble when I'm alone. I'm an introvert and most of the day, I'm alone in my small room and I didn't even think of gambling even a bit. There are many things that you might wanna do when you're alone. Read books, watch videos, play online games but not gambling particularly not gambling using your funds that supposedly be used to pay bills.
A bad day, I'm not addicted as you think. I just spend in $1 and $2, but at some point I missed my control. As you've said I should realise and should understand what needs to be prioritised. A big learning and the same won't happen again, and I've managed the financial difficulty.

Thanks for each and everyone who took time and felt bad for my act of gambling at the wrong time. Even users who go through it too can have it in mind while gambling.

1269  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador Authorities Extend Bitcoin Adoption to Other countries on: January 30, 2023, 11:59:25 PM

The embassies are not independent they follow the rules of the host country and the country of their origin but they can get paid in the currency of the country that the embassy is from regardless of the rules of the host country. But I think a country that has banned btc probably will not have a embassy of El Salvador because of btc and that would go against their own laws of their country.

Embassies represent their home country in the host country and generally follow the laws and regulations of both. However, they may still receive funding from their home country in their home currency. A country that has banned Bitcoin may still have an embassy from El Salvador, but it would depend on the specific laws and regulations of both countries and the circumstances surrounding the relationship. It's also worth noting that the legalization or ban of Bitcoin can vary between countries, so there could be complex diplomatic and legal considerations involved in establishing an embassy.
El Salvador spreading its adoption of bitcoin through all the levels. Embassies were the connecting bridge between two countries. El Salvador tries to have the connection through bitcoin which is a good move. Every country won't be interested, but the interested countries participation will make some positive things happening with the cryptomarket. In all means combined growth is a must and it looks like El Salvador is making it happen in real-time.
1270  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 30, 2023, 11:58:21 PM
I think the funding for all the associate nations is going to decrease because India is asking for almost 80%. And if that happens, I think ICC will have no option but to actually figure out which cricket boards are poor and actually need the money more.
Ha! hearing this first time.

No one in BCCI or their granny asked for 80% share at all, ever. According to records BCCI only get 18-22% (depending on taxes) from ICC funds and they contribute approx 70-80% of revenue, this could surpass in the upcoming cycle, once ICC discloses their media rights numbers.
If 80% is allocated to India, then only India can play cricket. More countries are being benefitting out of the money from BCCI to ICC. Pakistan cricket is running with half the contribution from the ICC and the rest is being got from the government. Media rights and the advertisement is a major source for the ICC.
1271  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 30, 2023, 11:55:40 PM
After successfully wining the T20WC it seems the English side doesn't want to do the same for ODIWC. This teams performance in ODI has been going from bad to worst. I understand that South Africa has the home advantage but after scoring 342 runs if the English bowlers are not able to defend this total then their is a big problem that needs to be looked into.
We shouldn't forget that England has also lost the first match by staying in the winning situation. They had lost their first wickets in 146 runs, then they lost all the remaining wickets in 271 runs. England team record isn't so good under the captaincy of Jos Buttler. They have lost the last 5 ODI matches, where Jos Buttler was the captain in 4 matches. Anyway, these winnings are helping South Africa to get in the top 8 of World Cup Super League table. They will get the 8th rank if they can win the next match. It will help them to qualify directly for the ODI World Cup.

I do not know if captaincy is the thing to blame. Because I believe a captain is more important in the bowling half. In batting, the team has to do well on individual performances. In the batting half, the players in the middle have to think of everything. And if we look at both matches, I think we will realize that England failed when it came to batting. Especially in the first match. In the second match, England did not bowl well. But that was not a bowling track anyway.

And these winnings are surely helping South Africa a lot. They are finally finding the success that they have been craving for so long.

Different views will be there upon a match. In the first ODI, it is an expected win and the bottom players didn't perform as expected. With the second ODI none expected South Africa to chase the target, but it happened. In specific, there is not much of mistakes from the England teamon fielding or dropping catches. So, it is the day of South Africa as each and everyone did the best.
1272  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you consider spreading FUD to be unethical? on: January 30, 2023, 11:30:24 PM
From my area of comprehension on the aspect of your point concerning panic towards Bitcoin market and especially been inquisitive of selling out your coins. So i believe that Bitcoin value can skyrocket today and tomorrow it decreases, actually panicking in cryptocurrency space is not good and i believe that many people have to be conscious of the time frame or decision they take in selling off their coins.
We can't say everything is happening ethical. Creating FUD is part of the market movement. Earlier only through FUD the market have been manipulated by the whales. By the time the market is small and now things have changed and so will be the difficulty in manipulation. Nowadays for FUD the market won't respond for a long term as people are well aware to analyse the reality of the incidents connected to manipulate the market. At times it is the FUD that make bullish/bearish move in the market.
1273  Economy / Economics / Re: US home loan banks lend billions of dollars to crypto banks on: January 30, 2023, 11:26:16 PM
The crypto banks requires funding to stay strong, maybe some bullish move in the market will relieve pressure from the crypto banks. As in one of the response, it is the two boards that need to have the proper understanding and take measures. Doing so will benefit mutually and the crypto bank here needs to be more responsible. Failing at any point is a big disaster to the entire market. Slowly the market and the traditional system coexistence is getting more around the cryptomarket is a positive move on large scale adoption.
1274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin helps the economy of all circles on: January 30, 2023, 11:22:13 PM
Bitcoin is for everyone. In the past I've seen people using credit cards, and those are days when it can be used only by the rich. Now it have turned to be common. With bitcoin there is no discrimination, every level of people were able to use it according to the ability. Once bitcoin was affordable for everyone and slowly things have changed as the price have reached the peak. Even now people able to buy as it has the lowered denomination makes it an easy choice for every level of people. It is true that bitcoin is people's money.
1275  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So far so good with Bitcoin adoption on my side but I have question on: January 30, 2023, 11:18:13 PM
Bringing people into bitcoin another way of advertising for bitcoin showing awareness so I believe that these people that you are bringing constantly into this will also bring another people so that is a chain and is another way for many people who don't know bitcoin 20 bitcoin I think get this is how bitcoin movement started by connecting one or two persons from different areas
Spreading what you've found good about something is a must. This is how the progress happens, very few get into such kind of activities. If you go through the days of bitcoin's survival, it is evident that bitcoin spreading was much through word of mouth. In recent years only it got much exposed to the outer world through advertisement. Making people learn something new is really good initiative that need to be recognised.
1276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: January 29, 2023, 11:59:40 PM
At times the altcoin investments used to give high return than bitcoin. Apart from this it is the ease of investing as a whole. Everyone weren't able to invest on bitcoin as a whole. With altcoins this is possible. Same as bullish season of bitcoin there is altcoin season by which we can expect big bounce in the price. Whether it is bitcoin or altcoins, it is the right entry and exit point that makes the investment more interesting and profiting.

We see one more case of people using other people's money just for gambling, which may be another case of gambling addiction. She should be able to keep the money and not be tempted to use it for gambling. She really needs to get help to overcome her gambling problem and not let her do it again in the future. But at least she should get punished for what she did so he doesn't repeat it in the future. If it were her own money, maybe that would be fine, but the problem was she was using many people's money and had to be accountable to all of them as well.
Myself too had this experience. He send me 3 Ethereum to cashout and I used it to gamble. I was able to win 0.5 Ethereum. The greed didn't left me, and I wanted to change it to 1 Ethereum as profit. Even the 1 Ethereum profit is being achieved and the greed continued. This made me loss everything and I borrowed money to settle my friend. This activity is really bad and later only I understood what wrong thing I've done.
1278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: January 29, 2023, 11:29:09 PM
what you say is very true, the prestige is really needed by the fifa world cup so that it continues to be the biggest sporting event in the world always and it is very good if FIFA continues to maintain it for 4 years

I myself see that what FIFA has been doing for a long time has been very good, the selection they have made has also been very good so far so increasing the number of countries playing will only add to the burden and I think it will be bad for the future of the world cup
I believe that year after year the FIFA management/staff intends to make some changes in the future world cups, I confess that I am not a sports specialist, but I do not know if the insertion of more countries in the world cup will be something extremely beneficial , I have no doubt that this will help a small country that has never participated in a world cup, but I have no doubt that it could lower the level of future world cups.
For me, an icing on the cake of the world cup is the fact that it takes place every 4 years.
The changes made in recent seasons haven't affected the teams or the football game in any means. Similar will be the changes, and the move of adding more teams will make football even high. When more countries gets chance to participate, it truly make more people turn to be fans of football. More teams into FIFA won't affect the future of Football which is really a wrong guess.
1279  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 29, 2023, 11:25:12 PM
What a day for the Indians. First, the Indian women's U-19 team won the World Cup comprehensively. Second, the Indian men's team are decimating the New Zealand team in the ongoing second T-20 match.

Almost all Indian bowlers bowled well to be honest while the New Zealand batsmen performed like crap. Looks like the final T-20 will be the decider.
Just as yesterday was a very happy day for India, it was also a very sad day for England. Yesterday England men's cricket team lost against South Africa despite a very good performance in ODI, while England U19 women's cricket team lost against India in Women's T20 world cup 2023.  India defeated New Zealand by 6 wickets yesterday to level the 3-match T20 series at 1-1.
In the men's cricket the England team played really well and unable to level the series is a real disappointment for them. By the same day the U-19 Women's team losing to U-19 India Women's is really bad. This loss from the Mens team could've made them low. Anyhow they need to make themselves strong looking for the World Cup.

Djokovic won the australian open as expected despite the score being 3 0 two of the sets were entertaining tsitsipas performed really well in this tournament, but djokovic is the number one at the moment i think this is his chance to win all grand slams in one year the only potential threat for him is alcaraz and maybe nadal depending on his form.
This is an expected result. Tsitsipas have fought good making it an interesting match than an one sided game. Djokovic have won with the set results of 6-3 77-64 77-65. With this win once again Djokovic proved he's the No.1 and the upcoming tournaments to bring good win through this. He missed the tournament last year and a good comeback.
