1261  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peak get lower and lower, and dips get worse on: January 16, 2019, 01:35:34 PM
I think it is too early to draw any specific conclusions. Bitcoin is still developing, and despite the drop in its price, the technology itself continues to work and improve. This means that we can not yet talk about the death of bitcoin or its end. We must wait for the price to rise and take our time.
I agree. Bitcoin is really popular and improvement of it is always there where we can benefit in time. You cannot conclude that bitcoin is dying whether the price is getting lower because opportunity is always there,if you are afraid to take the risk you are losing also and make regrets. Price is not getting worse, let see how bitcoin gonna improve and future will gain better.

Isn't that what's happening in a bear market? And let's face it, the correction trend from 2018 is more likely to continue instead of recovering for the start of this year. That means scarier times for people who thinks crypto is a short term money maker.
1262  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: would u open a loan to buy the dip? on: January 16, 2019, 01:29:14 PM
It's really not the best idea to make money. Bitcoin is subject to strong fluctuations that are completely unpredictable. Therefore, you are likely to drive yourself into large debts and will not be able to earn anything.

It's not a good idea at all period. They always say that when you trade, you only use funds that you can afford to lose. Money from a loan isn't something you can afford to lose. You'd just dig yourself a deep hole that you may find hard to get out of in the long run.
1263  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Cryptopia exchange hacked on: January 16, 2019, 01:26:40 PM
And what happen to the coins in that we deposit on there, Ill hope they are not gone but i will try to checked. Ill hope they can recover and being secured always of the cryptopia site. This site was one of trusted that i'm always trade on.

That's going to be a hassle if your money there was affected. I'm not sure if there's any insurances that covers crytopia assets but it's likely most exchanges don't. I've read the hackers got millions worth in eth and tokens.
1264  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WHY ANXIOUS ABOUT BITCOIN PRICE? on: January 16, 2019, 01:22:57 PM
My father is anxious pertaining to the fall and rise in bitcoin price. He has four(4) btc and he is afraid to hodl. He wants to sell at a lower rate. Any advice for him?

So your father needs to hold his bitcoin and don't need to sell at lower rate. But maybe your father can try to trade with 0.5 btc pair altcoin or usdt so he can have an opportunity to increase his bitcoin. I think that is an option for your father while he is waiting for the bitcoin price to rise again to the high price. I think it's better to do trading rather than just to hold his bitcoin and don't make anything.

The thing is, if your father is anxious about his 4 btc's he's probably going to be more anxious if he tries to trade some of that in the alt market where the volatility could be worse. If he doesn't need to sell for any important reason, i'd say try to get his attention to other things. Selling at a loss is definitely not the best option.
1265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has changed? Is it moving forward? on: January 16, 2019, 01:19:56 PM
Well definitely it's not on it's way to replace fiat at this point. One thing you've missed if you've been away for that long is the 2017 run that probably did more harm than good for many people. Also because of that, bitcoin has gained faniliarity among the masses though it doesn't seem to be on a positive note.
1266  Economy / Speculation / Re: Chinese New Year 2019 on: January 16, 2019, 01:15:36 PM
Historically also, the last quarter of the recent years give us really good runs. We all saw what happened last year. It could start a new downward spiral yes, but i'm not betting on anything just because it was a trend before. I don't think it works that way anymore.
1267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Earning Bitcoin is good, but don't depent on it. on: January 16, 2019, 12:42:26 PM
Well, not everyone here rely solely on bitcoin and crypto currency in general but there are some people who depends entirely on crypto currency and they are still surviving up till today no doubt. In my opinion, all depends on the kind of crypto currency related business one is into that will make one to either depends on crypto currency or not at all.
what is the reason you can't work full time and depend on bitcoin? is it as long as you make a profit there, and can survive, even have a lot of money from bitcoin income, why not? depending on bitcoin is not a problem, the most important thing is that you can live from that job

Well the problem is, many people aren't quite equipped to live such a life. Yeah there are traders who have trading as their full time job and most likely they already have the experience and skill to make it. Not everyone who wants to live that way can afford to, yet they still quit jobs and get rekt in debt and losses in return.
1268  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lots of doubt on on: January 16, 2019, 12:39:54 PM
Its a good thing that many people have doubts concerning bitcoin. It just shows that they are thinking for themselves and are not just mindless sheep lured in because of earning fast money. This way, in this period, we will find who are actually in it for the long run and will end up having a more devoted community in the future.

Nice point dude. Unlike before when people depend on hype and fomos and then easily panic with a simple fud, having doubts would make them cautious. If there's one positive thing that we got from 2018, it opened up people's minds that this market isn't just easy money. Not by a long shot.
1269  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is there any valid reason to continue gambling? on: January 15, 2019, 04:35:18 PM
Well people's definition of what's valid and what's not varies. What may seem valid you can be wrong for others so there's really no definite answer to this. Some continue gambling because they feel like they can't cope without doing it everyday. May sound invalid for me and you, but for the gambler, it's the only reason that matters.
1270  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience: The key factor to succeeding in the crypto space on: January 15, 2019, 04:26:51 PM
Which is why many fall victim of scam projects and shit coins.

actually you are wrong. Patience is the reason why so many are falling victim of scam projects. they are fooled into believing that if they buy and "bag hold" but call it patience then they will make a lot of profit. whereas in reality they are bag holding and losing money as prices continue to fall.

altcoins are mostly pump and dumps. when you buy into the pump you must sell before the dump begins or you will end up losing 80% or 90% of your investment. just ask thousands of newbies who have been losing that much in the past 9 months because they had "patience"!
While i want to believe your thoughts still I disagree on the idea of parient is the reason of being scammed,OP clearly says that we need to study well the project and the team behind each one we will be choosing to invest meaning we must be responsible for our failure because theres alot of ways now to find the legit and scammy project and if you still become a victim them you are more careless than anyone.

Well lazy people being patient are the ones usually falling victims. Yes patience is essential for a successful trade or investment but it should also come with an effort to know where you're putting your money at. Study, know your coin, be patient but also react accordingly to situations.
1271  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP competing places with ETH? on: January 15, 2019, 04:22:39 PM
Too fast and short XRP reclaims its position from Ethereum. I am still hesitant to invest now, the market is still not good. More often red and no significant changes. How do you respond to this? Will you still survive to buy several altcoins? Thank you in advance.
So invest in ripple, you see it rise and future victories, then what doubts. By the way, and the ether before the upcoming fork, too, would be nice to invest.

If it comes down to these two, is put my money on eth. Ripple's recent run to displace eth as the nbr 2 coin seems a bit forced. I've always liked eth's platform and it's chances in the future with traditional crypto people behind it instead of xrp.
1272  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans for this year on: January 15, 2019, 04:13:29 PM
The crypto market is very difficult to predict and in 2019 I think there will be more positive changes. We passed 2018 and the results were very disappointing because the market continued to decline. And this year's trade will be more profitable.

So does that mean you're planning to trade more? If you gauge it by january's movements, i think the first quarter to the first half of this year would just be a continuation of 2018. So i don't plan on actively making trades. Probably to buy a couple of coins here and there.
1273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scammers are lazy on: January 15, 2019, 04:10:57 PM
because they are used to cheating. so they are comfortable with what they do. they don't care what other people say. for them, they have found a comfortable way of working (in their version). therefore, they will never change. so, there must be an institution that eradicates people like them.

Well as they say, lazy people find ways to make difficult jobs easy. In this case though, scammers do it at the expense of other people's demise. One can't deny the fact that these are intelligent guys just using their wits the wrong way.
1274  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL for only the brave !? on: January 15, 2019, 04:07:56 PM
This investment philosophy is extreme and is usually a crazy adventurer, similar to gambling. I don't think this method is the best way to invest, and when cryptocurrency continues to fall, HODL is meaningless.
Recent events have well shown what can lead to HODL and blind belief that the fall in the price of cryptocurrency can not be delayed for a long time, this is a lesson and it is necessary to draw the right conclusions

Well that's why you have to be a little more careful as well with the coins that you plan to hodl. For me, established coins like btc and eth, despite their current status, will have huge adoption in the future, hence i'm confident that time and patience is the only challenge i have to overcome.
1275  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid Dump after listing on: January 15, 2019, 04:03:31 PM
At the time of the listing after the end of ICO, the price often dumps. Why does it happen?
I think the reason is there is no buyer because of no demand for tokens since the ecosystem is not completed after the ICO.
It may be difficult because lack of funds, but I think the team should release a product like Dapps while running ICO to make token demand.
How do you think about it?

Because the bounty hunters dump the tokens to get ethereum, I think there is still a buyer in the market, but the projects need more people to come to buy and sell the token.
Release a product can be a choice but the team needs to allocate more money from the budget, but it could be done.
I don't know for sure, and I only know that many bounties hunters sell the token.

That can't be helped. I doubt if there are a lot of bounty hunters who spend time and effort just for the bounty token. Though there are coins that will survive this initial dump of bounty hunters. Those that have really promising projects that attract real investors for example. Though if it were me, i'd probably get the right timing after listing since before dumping, the coin usually gets a higher price.
1276  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A jump of 11% for ethereum in just 30 mins on: January 15, 2019, 02:01:39 PM
If I personally am not surprised by that because when Ethereum drops in price it can sometimes be more than that so when it rises it can also be fast, it could also be the influence of the buyers who began to increase because many are waiting for hardfork.
We all know that those kind of movements aren't unusual and doesn't really mean anything most of the time. The price of any coin can rise in such time same as it can plunge in the same time and percentage.
1277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to choose a good project? on: January 15, 2019, 01:59:52 PM
Can you help me choose projects? Last year I met 15 scam projects. very depressed.

in my opinion if you want to invest in a project, you better invest in a project that is already running and trusted, because now it is very difficult to find a new project that is trusted, so it is better for you to choose a project that is currently running, because it will definitely give you profit than you invest in a new project (the risk is greater) and the project that I recommend you to invest is UBT and METM, because this project is running and of course it will give you profit in the future.

Also, there's high possibility that a good project will have people talking about it. So for me it's also a good idea to participate in threads and discussions to receive feedback from other people aside from your personal research of course.
1278  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Safe Bounty hunters on: January 15, 2019, 01:56:05 PM
The forum is more on Bitcoin and crypto currency sharing of knowledges so i think they are not obliged to check and review if the certain ICO is a scam or not as this is the job of the bounty managers as their reputations is at stake. Anyway, the forum did not ignore any project that are proven scam as they really imposed punishment to those involved.
There are volunteers who are looking for those scam projects.
They work freely and voluntarily for the sake fo the community.
But choosing a project that you'll join with its bounty, it's our choice and we should have standards.

Yeah, our volunteers could only do so much like to warn people or give significant information but it'll still be up to us if we want to gamble on a pretty looking project that promises a lot. Your money, your risk.
1279  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Market 2018 vs 2017 on: January 15, 2019, 01:51:55 PM
then, what will happend with ICO market in 2019, give me your toughts ?
regards
Probably the same, terrible, it's better to invest on a project that already has a working feature unlike on an ico that have yet to exist, no one knows if the team behind will work on their project i mean there are already alot of project that has yet to produce a product.

Icos boomed in 2017, legitimate and bogus alike and 2018 acted like a purge for icos though all them suffered all the same, even legitimate projects. I think this year would be a little better for icos than 2018 with people being a little more cautious but open to them.
1280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Listing on exchanges has no effects anymore on: January 15, 2019, 01:49:04 PM
Listing on a big exchange is no longer a landmark event and any temporary rise is soon given back. Better exchanges simply offer more liquidity options and potential customers but not an automatic increase in price.
It's still the people who are willing to trade which is more important, without them in the market, demand won't increase.
There's a lot of exchanges but most of them has a low liquidity, and the hype in exchange listing is gone for awhile because the market is not good.
I think that listing on stock exchanges still affects the price of coins. Simply, this effect has decreased by 2-3 times.

Well probably not like before but it still does up the price for a time especially if its a big exchange like binance or bittrex. But it usually seem to be a quick pump before bumping the ceiling hard.
