1281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The most profitable PoS Multipool - hashrate.org on: April 29, 2014, 03:08:14 PM
In general it's been working fine for me. Can't say anything about the payouts though as I have yet to receive any NXT.
As of this writing the webpage is down / unresponsive so I can't check the stats.
1282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: THE INVESTOR'S CRYPTO | Cryptogenic Bullion | CGB on: April 27, 2014, 08:33:43 PM
Bumped up the vote count by 10-something, glad to see that CGB made it on-board Smiley
1283  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The most profitable PoS Multipool - hashrate.org on: April 27, 2014, 08:31:11 PM
I've been mining for a couple of days now, albeit just having a small hash.
How does the payout system work? I have not seen any payout information in the stats or on the site. Is there a minimal threshold to reach before payments/transactions occur?

Otherwise the pool is working fine, stable and snappy  Wink
1284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The most profitable PoS Multipool - hashrate.org on: April 25, 2014, 04:45:37 PM
Sounds interesting as I have not yet looked into NXT, and seems like an excellent way to get started.
I'll point some small amount of hashes this way Wink

Mr forzendiablo comes by from time to time to enlighten us with his greater insights in the cryptocurrency markets. Thankyou forz, I'll make a note to stay away from LGD. It seems to be focused towards gamers rather than investors anyway.

Too bad this coin had to die, but from what has been exposed in terms of an outrageous premine scam, I believe that you CryptoGir made the right decision. I hope that you are able to come up with an interesting and creative new coin. I'll keep an eye out for that Wink

CGB Core Team Weekly Update – April 23, 2014
.....
We were also grateful to have active discussion from community members like 66ericarthurblair99 regarding CGBs place in new crypto developments like profit-spending multipools.
.......

I thought the post seemed familiar Wink https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=245086.msg6142921#msg6142921

PSD, in general, what seems to give the larger benefit to the CGB community in terms of exposure (posting questions, articles, news and the like). In terms of branding, is it wiser to be more active on Reddit and/or the Bitcointalk forum. I mean, most people here are well aware of cryptocurrencies, but are we targeting a larger following on Reddit as to bring in more supporters/investors? These forums are perhaps more "entrenched" meaning that holders and investors are not too likely to change from their alts of choice, and are more likely to further promote and encourage their investments. Granted I have not been too active on the CGB subreddit, but if we are to help improve the project, how may we best use our time and resources?

I appreciate your efforts, keep up your great work!

Current price on cryptsy is 0.81 mBTC per CGB. Hopefully the price can start to pick up. I remember the days of 500 mBTC, though they seem far distant for the time being.

Cast a few votes on https://comkort.com/vote and we'll see if the prices can climb a little Smiley

Really nice to hear about he upcoming features, thanks a lot for the weekly updates!
The new wallet features sound like a big improvement in terms of user-friendliness for all users, but especially newcomers to CGB.

On a side note, I learned the other day about the Blackcoin teams scrypt-altcoin mining pool. (http://blackcoinpool.com/)
CGB is becoming more and more a PoS coin, but the idea to mine other coins and reinvest the profits in CGB might boost the exchange prices for CGB, bringing further interest to our favorite bullion. Perhaps this could be something for the dev team to consider. Going on a similar route could indirectly bring back hash rates from the miners, and get more people besides pure investors into CGB.

Hey all, I'm having problems downloading the windows wallet from the home page. Is the server working as it should?

1291  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Multi Coin Pool CoinFu.io in Beta on: April 03, 2014, 04:05:27 PM
Switching between Coinshift and Clevermining after seeing that the profitability on Wemineall fell below 0.004. Currently using coinshift while coinfu is offline. Dragonmike has a point though, the overall profit for alts right now is low, barely worth the effort to keep my small rig going.
1292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Multi Coin Pool CoinFu.io in Beta on: April 02, 2014, 09:49:23 AM
What a shame that the attacks are hammering the site. Nice looking interface, eager to start mining and pointing some small rigs at the pool!
1293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: THE INVESTOR'S CRYPTO | Cryptogenic Bullion | CGB on: March 28, 2014, 08:52:27 PM
Could be that there are plenty of other crypto-currencies to invest in now, as well as DOGE taking a lot of interest of lately.
There have been several PoS coins released with higher stake than CGB, attracting many newcomers. CGB has a lot of good things going now, but perhaps there needs to be more buzz around CGB. DOGE had their bobsled and NASCAR sponsorships, perhaps something like that would get the attention from the general public and potential investors. Regardless of what one thinks of the other currencies, it is the spectacular stories that draw attention from media and non crypto-currency holders. Granted, the CGB community is much smaller the that of BTC, LTC, DOGE etc, so it's not likely we could rally up $50K for another sponsorship in NASCAR. We'll just have to be smarter and think about how to draw more attention to CGB, and show it's strengths and benefits as a long term investment.

The weekly updates are really appreciated PSD, thanks for your efforts in letting all holders, big as small, know what is happening with the CGB team and development, and what we can do to help the cause!

1296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AUTO SWITCH] ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Beta - Multipool Done Right on: March 25, 2014, 09:10:44 PM
is there a way to manually cash out my balance? Cause my balance is 0.008BTC and i wish to withdrawn instead of mining till it reach 0.01BTC?

What I did was simply set the auto-payout to something lower then my balance, had it auto-pay and then set the threshold back again. Not perfect, but I didn't have to wait so long for the payment to be sent.
1297  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: THE INVESTOR'S CRYPTO | Cryptogenic Bullion | CGB on: March 24, 2014, 09:27:24 PM
Just wanted to drop by and give a big Thanks! to the dev team and supporters who are working hard to promote and increase the awareness of CGB. Great job with the new exchanges, and the VoS looks like it has potential. All your efforts are an inspiration for the rest of us! Keep up your great work!  Cool
1298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [AUTO SWITCH] ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Beta - Multipool Done Right on: March 24, 2014, 02:08:43 PM
Notice a lot of the people on other multipools saying their rigs have been hijacked due to a bug in the stratum reconnect command that allows a hijacker to redirect the miner to another pool.

I'm still not sure how the attack is initiated in the first place unless there is an additional security exploit on the server side that allows the reconnect to happen.  It appears that no one on ScryptGuild has complained about this.

I've been seeing the same posts, but I have not noticed anything wrong with my small rig. Then again I have not been mining on Clevermining, though used to be on Hashco.ws. I've been using scryptguild for the past weeks and have had no problems.
Operating cgminer 3.7.2 with CGWatcher 1.3.5.3. I'm operating behind a firewall.

The redirecting issue seems intriguing as we do not know how the attacks occur.
1299  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptogenic Bullion | The Gold Standard Virtual Precious Metal | CGB on: March 13, 2014, 11:06:08 AM
Casted my vote as well, but it seems like we are a bit too far begind right now compared to the leading coins.
Though if they would take in the top 4, then CGB has a great chance to get in on Bittrex!
1300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cryptogenic Bullion | The Gold Standard Virtual Precious Metal | CGB on: March 06, 2014, 09:49:16 PM
Still far to go, but I voted for CGB as well. We'll just have to wait and see which coins claim the spots available on bter.  Wink
