I wonder when this wings dao will start.

Best guess for now is sometime in September (or maybe October?), but the team will let us know when they feel confident that the platform and ICO are getting ready for launch. At least things are moving forward and the Wings team are working hard on compliance and security for the platform.

Jag söker företag som säljer 3d skrivare i Sverige. Några tips?

Creative tools ser ut att sälja 3D-skrivare. Har du tittat på om de säljer något som passar?
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: August 22, 2016, 12:27:39 PM
hey quick question, my SSD drive is full where my DASH wallet is and cant remember how I can move the data folder to a new volume...

can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Move your dash folder to another drive, and start Dash again by specifying a new -datadir from the shortcut.
Here's an old post from Reddit, but you'll see what to do:

Quote
F:\darkcoin>.\darkcoin-0.11.1.25-win\32\darkcoin-qt.exe -datadir=F:\darkcoin-datadir
Note, this was for Darkcoin so you just provide your new datadir and Dash will read the files from the path you provide.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][ICO] Worlds first popular App to become DApp on: August 22, 2016, 07:21:24 AM
Are you going to build your own blockchain or are you going to utilize another one? If yes, which one?

"We'll 100% FOR SURE have a blockchain with a cryptocoin and secured assets that give decentralized ownership to the users."
https://twitter.com/jessecouch/status/767612001581273088

We plan to have a new blockchain so that we can scale out a network, expand our user base and increase the feature set. If it's a hot demand I can create a way where wallet companies for other cryptocoins can build user plugins to allow access to those coins in pigeonmap.

It what sense do you feel that the current larger blockchains are limiting your plans to build out your infrastructure?  You could create an asset with colored coins, a counterparty asset running on the Bitcoin blockchain, or why not have your assets running on top of the Ethereum network?. By creating your own custom blockchain, nothing wrong with that, you will need to secure it. What are you plans how to do this, PoW, PoS or something else? Which algorithm are you looking at?

I'll have to read up more next week regarding the Dash across America Bitcoin bus. But as they say, haters gotta hate. Unfortunately it makes BTC look bad, or at least the crypto space looking like a big sandbox with adults throwing sand at one another...

@Gosh, Do you have a tutorial or a video, etc, on how the ARK works? Just had a look at the testnet site, but clearly I have no idea what I am doing or what to do Smiley

What is happening

DASH chain split or hardfork or softfork

Im selling my DASH now....

Looks like problems with the blockchain

Funny guy... Hope you're selling on the right chain then Smiley
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SSS] ARK - a Different DAO is coming! (Built on Ethereum) on: August 21, 2016, 07:39:35 AM
Is this a free coin or ico coin? Btw, good luck dev. Building on ethereum is a cool idea. Benefits from solid platform.

No, something different, a new model you' ve never seen.
There 's a web service and the income is shared by the owners of the DAO
The webservice is composed by multiple (assumed to be legal, as opposed to THE_DAO model) web-shops, in the form of BOTS (virtual clerks), serving the incoming customers.
A multiplexer redirects the customers one by one to the bots, mantaining equal the amount of customers served by each bot, and thus producing an income that emulates a financial product (a company with shares), but with the benefits of avoiding the strict rules of financial products.

So you don't buy coins, you buy BOTS, and the BOTS produce an income (ETH) serving the customers (the customers list coins in the DB), that is then collected by the BOTs owners.
The idea is applied to an OPEN DECENTRALIZED DATABASE FOR COINS, since it is relatively easy, and so a good starting point for experimenting this kind of model.

If a good amount of crypto lovers will get some BOTs, there will be of course a good traffic, and the database will reach wide adoption.

Tomorrow on Ethereum TESTNET
Nice developer tomorrow is in testnet phase. But I have a question BOT can listed in exchanges or not. This is the thing that I want to know I BOT can listed in Exchanges.Looking forward to this ARK project.

Quote
HOW MANY BOTS ARE INSIDE ARK?
The total amount will be decided at the moment of launch. From the very first moment of the initial sale, the number of BOTS cannot be changed.

CAN I TRADE MY BOTS?
Technically, yes. But ARK starts with a very high fee (RESELL BOT). ARK is meant for long term investors. If in the future the community decides (via inner voting system) to lower the cost of RESELL-BOT service, they will be easily tradable.

This is my understanding and I could be completely wrong: The bots are part of a contract (ARK)  running on the Ethereum network. When services are performed, adding listings etc to the ARK platform, the bots collect fees in terms of ETH and these are paid out to the bot owners.

So... could a part of a contract be sold as individual tokens on a secondary exchange? Interesting question. From the looks of the RESELL-BOT function, you can sell/trade bots within the ARK platform. Just thinking in terms of theDAO tokens, these could be sold independently, and therefore perhaps it is technically possible to sell BOTs as well. If a BOT-asset can be traded on the ARK platform, could it then not be sent to any ETH address, even a third party as an exchange? @Gosh will have to answer that one.
629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: August 21, 2016, 07:14:02 AM

Another one of those kinks has formed on the masternode adoption profile.

The last time it happened was around the 10th of April. It also coincided with a shallow correction, but no crash. The current "kink" appears to be following the same behaviour - slow correction but no crash.

Contrast that with the 50% devaluation during the month of June - but no nodecount kink. What gives ? How come a large apparent cash-out in masternode colleteral following a price rise (to be expected) results in only a minor price correction whereas no masternode depletion (month of June) results in a massive 50% crash ?

Need to think.

In the context of Dash's distinct markets, it seems that the supply for creating the big dips (like June's 'crash') comes from the currency sector, not the reserve sector. i.e. reserve market holders only sell when there are reserve market (masternode) buyers whereas currency market holders are far more short term in their trading priorities. This principle is borne out by the consistent nodecount growth and also the minimal price correction whenever one of those 'kinks' occurs in the masternode adoption profile. We must also bear in mind that any holding, however small, can now qualify for the reserve market so we may be observing the discovery of Dash as a genuine monetary asset and a haven for 'parked funds' of any size wanting to earn a return.

On the other hand, the currency market appears to create far larger price movements than large masternode cashouts do. This may be explained by leveraged trading, or it might just be low volume dumping that results in a temporary undervaluation since the reserve market is the one that's in long term demand and there isn't the liquidity available at the highly shorted end of the cycle to meet market requirements.

In summary, what it looks like to me is that the 0.020 level was the market rate - even back in early June. It then got heavily shorted and then bounced back due to lack of liquidity as the reserve market began to reassert itself.

Once back at current levels there is now some genuine exchange of masternode collateral going on (indicated by the recent 'kink' combined with only shallow price correction due to high market depth). Meanwhile, during June there was simply a 'hammering down' of the currency market (blue sector) that was always going to be temporary due to that sector's diminishing speculative authority.

It might be worth observing the correlation between these two indicators (market valuation and nodecount growth) in future to distinguish speculative trading from genuine asset transfers  Smiley

You are right, there is something going on, not necessarily a fork but some of the nodes are reporting an "older chain" eg lesser blocks. I checked two masternodes and they are both on 523623

OP: The files were scanned over a month ago, how new is ADZcoin?
Also, how will ADZ compensate content creators? There really isn't any info on how this is accomplished, other than somehow through social media?

I registered wings.ai before the ETH fork.
So my wings eth address is ETH or ETC? what should I do?
Is this address is ok? 0x70b461759e400d0e362d592c2421c1e636cb59c9
Is it ETH or ETC?

Thank you!

It is my limited understanding from the ETH/ETC fork that the address is valid on both chains, as long as that you have not tried to separate the two (that is how people could pull out ETC and ETH separately from the same address and permanently move the funds to two separate chains).

That said, I would wait for the Wings team to clarify the matter, but I would assume that they will be running on the ETH chain, simply because it is bigger in it's current state. Just keep yóur address and if moving is necessary, the team will have to come out and tell everyone how they would want everyone to do this in an easy and secure manner.

.... .......

I would advise you Gi01 to look else for cloudmining options. What i did was to go out and buy a small baikal-asic and mine at home instead. It costs more, probably won't pay back, but at least I won't be throwing my money away at yet another fractionally funded ponzi cloudmining scheme. Besides, mining at home brings back the fun in mining again Wink

Suggestion for a machine to buy?

Ty
Are you asking about an asic? I have a small X11 150 MHs Baikal asic, last I checked they sold for 500 USD. Their price in Dash was high, you'd be better off buying with BTC or USD directly instead of spending Dash. The dollar equivalent in Dash was like 30-40% higher, so better go with some other currency. That said, I am not sure if it will reach ROI, so maybe your best option is to buy dash directly and hold on to them instead. You'll probably make more money that way 😄
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: August 18, 2016, 06:56:59 PM
Does anyone invest dash in a gambling site? I can't run a computer all day so can't do my own master node. Any other suggestions to grow my dash?

I saw you got three great responses for shared Masternode services. Pick anyone and you'll be good to go! I just wanted to say that it took me almost a year of mining, trading and purchasing BTC->Dash to get 1000 dash for my Masternode. It can be done, it just takes time. At that time I was mining about a dash a day or so with gpus, so it was different from the difficulties we have today.

Forget gambling and look into a shared Masternode service. Also, I think very few operate a Masternode on their home network. Most people rent a vps for high availability and high bandwidth. For instance Digital Oceans vps have all gbit connections, something few households have even if it is becoming more common.

Oh my... Although the name Paycoin in itself might be a catchy name, it is so tainted that anyone willing to use this should reconsider. Associated to one of the bigger scams in the cryptosphere it will always have a sketchy $20 background to deal with.

OP: built it and they will come. Create something exceptional and Paycoin will live again, but personally I find it hard to believe that anyone will want to associate themselves with the scam of Paycoin. If you have a great idea up your sleeve, you would be better off taking said ideas and implementing them in a new token rather than trying to resurrect something that was buried and meant to die.

Did the scammers sentence in the jail? They deserve to have life imprisonment, and victims should be refunded.

Josh Garza has not been imprisoned, but there are investigations against him and his companies. There is an ongoing lawsuit against Garza but the legal wheels move very slowly unfortunately. You can read more about the class action lawsuit here: http://gawsuit.com/

Dash market correction approaching completion.

(And traders appear to know it).

Hoho, really nice, I know you mean there will be a pump again after correction, am i right?   Cheesy

It's moving up now. But I'd rather see a moderate climb than a big spike, it would be nice if we reached 0.025 as a new base for Dash in the coming month(s).

Thanks wings.ai for the Wings specification #2. Interesting reading! I'll have to re-read and think some more about the blog post.
I assume that the governing model that is implemented takes into consideration the voting power of each participant, eg a large token holder has a larger voting power compared to a small holder, or it is rather 1 holder - 1 vote?

Each month we're gaining momentum, we started at about $13k/mo in October 2015 and currently next month we're going to have over $100k to spend. This is fantastic, it shows we can grow the ecosystem and as we do, we'll have more and more funding available for the next projects. The model is working, it's exciting. There's a definite relationship between making good investments for the network and the price appreciation, I believe they are causal.

Thanks for the perspective Evan, with that in mind I'm sure we are going to see a lot of positive feedback to the project as the available funding continues to increase. I didn't know that we had such large funds to help us forward. Thanks again for the graph!
